"my best flying experience"
T Keare (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | I flew Premium Economy class from Washington DC to Frankfurt, and it was my best flying experience. Firstly, the flight was on time. The flight crew were very professional, laid back, and willing to help. I had the best time chatting with the crew in between food and drink services. The flight itself was very smooth (I know they don't control that) and my seat was comfortable. I would fly United Airlines internationally again.

"get such poor service"
Susana Weingarten Evert (United States)
Not Verified | United is off my list for next trip. I like to be comfortable and being served well as I pay for. Food and even snacks are unacceptable, seriously horrendous. Bad menu choices. Staff do not serve first nor Business correctly. They never ask for my jacket to be hanged on a hanger. They serve in plastic cups in 1st class?. Every time, in every United flight (just got back yesterday from Mexico City through Houston to Cleveland, OH) the staff converse with each other very loud. After Covid (who said it is over?) there is no need to wear a mask, yet so many people were coughing and sneezing constantly, as if someone was very sick. Isn't a duty of the stewards to say something such as: "Could you please cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough?". Very mediocre service. It is a shame how disquieting is to pay first class to get such poor service.

"Economy Plus is a waste"
T Schuller (United States)
Not Verified | United airlines Economy Plus is a waste. I upgraded from Economy to Economy Plus for $109. My ticket was purchased 4 months before the flight. I purchased this upgraded seat because of a back problem that I have. I picked an aisle seat so that I could sit sideways and allieve the back pain that I was expecting. Two days before my flight, my seat and row was changed, giving me a center seat. I complained to 6 different people and they all said this happens all the time. For $109 upgrade this should never happen. I will not be flying United again.

"I will never fly United again"
K Beatty (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | My flight was scheduled to leave Springfield at 6:15 am with a connecting flight out of Houston to Sarasota, FL after a 1 hour 14 minute layover. At 6:30am the counter announced they had overbooked and needed 4 people to volunteer for a later flight and $1000 coupon. At 7am it was announced that no one could board until 4 people volunteered to give up their seats--most of us had connecting flights out of Houston, so connections would be missed.Next it was announced all carryons with wheels needed to be checked in on the loading bridge. I asked the agent if it was mandatory to checkin carryons if it was a connecting flight--she replied yes. I said I hoped I didn't miss my connecting flight (also United). We were finally allowed to board, yet sat on the tarmac to be de-iced for a considerable amount of time. We finally landed in Houston at 9:32--My connecting United flight was to depart at 9:44am. I waited to pick up my carry-on, flew through the terminal and arrived at the United counter minutes after the scheduled departure, only to be informed that the door had been closed. No more flights out to Sarasota until the next morning, but one to Tampa at 2:30 pm. My friends had to drive 2.5 hours to get to the Tampa airport (the traffic was crazy that evening) and I had to wait at the airport almost 4 hours. It is unbelievable to me that the flight didn't wait for the people who missed the flight by minutes at United's failures. I will never fly United again.

"worst experience I have ever had"
Leon Hammer (United States)
Not Verified | Beware, if United cancels your flight you are on your own if you go with another airline, even if the agent tells you they will refund the cost of the other airline. My flight was cancelled and the earliest they could get me out was 42 hours later. I was able to catch a flight with Southwest the next morning. That United agent said they would reimburse me for the Southwest flight. When I reached out to United to get the reimbursement they indicated they would only refund the portion of my ticket that was cancelled. They were very apologetic and sorry for the inconvenience cancelling my flight, me having to sleep in the Denver airport, but too bad for me. As many miles as I have flown over the years, this was the worst experience I have ever had. Being told one thing and then not honoring their agreement.

"missed our connecting flight"
Terry Devynn (United States)
Not Verified | I have been flying for years. This is one of the first times I have chosen to fly with United airlines. Worst experience I have ever had with an airline. Our flight was delayed in Honolulu to san Francisco so we missed our connecting flight. Then they booked us 24 hrs later. That was a problem we both had to work on Monday. So they had another flight that was earlier but to new jersey still put us late on Sunday to arrive in Cleveland. We ended up staying at the airport so we didn't miss our next flight.

"Pure incompetence"
A Clothier (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | Pure incompetence. Hour and counting delay on flight due to lack a preparation. I have only flown with United one other time in recent memory and the experience was also terrible. Horrible company. Don’t give them a dime. Fly Delta!

"quality of service is below overage"
Tatsiana Clifton (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | Lisbon to Tampa via Newark. Awful airline, the ticket wasn’t cheap, but quality of service is below overage. The flight was delayed and then they forced me to check in my carry on, rude flight attendants, disgusting restrooms.

"do not plan to fly United again"
1 reviews Karen Jernigan (United States)
✅ Trip Verified | My daughter and I flew to San Antonio from Knoxville for my grandson's graduation from Navy A school at Joint Base Fort Sam Houston. The day we were scheduled to leave San Antonio to fly back to Knoxville via Houston, there was a weather event in Houston, which initially delayed our flight. Unasked, we were put on another flight into Houston. After sitting on the tarmac on that flight for around 2 hours, the pilot stated that the plane was overweight due to fuel, passengers, and baggage, and that they needed volunteers to deplane. The pilot also stated that he had never experienced such a situation in his 25 years of flying. Eventually, enough passengers volunteered to deplane and the flight departed for Houston. Once in Houston, we were informed that our flight to Knoxville had been canceled and rescheduled for the next day. By then, it was around 10 PM. I contacted United customer service via phone while my daughter stood in line at the customer service desk, which eventually closed before she reached the front of the line (there were 85-100 people in line.) The customer service rep I spoke with was hateful and rude, and informed me that, because our flight was canceled "due to weather", we could request cots to sleep in the airport or we could get our own hotel. We got an Uber to a hotel and spent the night, and arrived back at the airport the next day. The new flight went from Houston to Dulles. At Dulles, we boarded a very small Embraer via stairs from the tarmac. It was raining and the metal stairs were very slippery. To top it off, when I got to the top of the stairs, the flight attendant told me, very rudely, to go back down the stairs and gate check my backpack, which was the size of a purse. I was wearing two leg braces and barely made it up the steps to begin with because of severe osteoarthritis. The gate agent could have asked me to gate check the backpack. Someone on the ground could have asked me to gate check the backpack. No one did. Just the rude flight attendant. Luckily, my daughter was a few people behind me and could take the backpack back down the stairs. Again, in the rain. After all this, United sent us each a $150 travel voucher. That is the last thing we want. We do not plan to fly United again, under any circumstances.

"Worst airline ever"
S Kasuran (Canada)
✅ Trip Verified | Honestly, the worst airline and worst experience. I got on the flight in San Francisco with my hand luggage and the crew member said they need to check it in due to the aircraft being full. I said okay, will it come straight to Toronto. He answered yes. Guess what? I had to ask him for my bag tag, he put someone else’s bag tag on my bag and sent it to Denver. I lost very personal items because of some careless mistake of the crew member. They need to understand that they are dealing with peoples belongings and actually do their job properly. Anyways, the bag was not found. It was said it reached the head office, but nothing after that. Worst airline ever.
