Not Verified | Flew on flight 1140 from DC to our home in Tampa. My husband had a medical issue related to pneumonia and shortness of breath. The stewardesses sent an announcement for a medical volunteer to assist. A nurse came forward and took vitals to make sure he was okay. She stayed with him until we needed to land. One of the stewardesses gave my husband an oxygen mask and took info from me. She coordinated with the nurse to provide needed aid. Don’t know the nurses name but want to thank her for being courageous in volunteering. Both the nurse and stewardess watched over my husband, stayed with him and secured a Paramedic team to escort him off the plane. The paramedics removed him from the aircraft while all passengers stayed seated until we could whisk him away. Thank you all for your patience and well wishes. He had to be intubated once they got him down to the ambulance. He was really grasping for air. My husband has been admitted to a local hospital and was diagnosed with pneumonia and put on a ventilator. 24 hours later he is stable and off the ventilator. I wanted to express my gratitude and appreciation for everyone on this United Airlines flight who tended to my husbands needs. The staff was very professional, trained to tackle medical needs and keep me calm in the process. Thank you!

✅ Trip Verified | Flight was delayed over two hours due to some alleged problem with a display screen in the cockpit. After we were already aboard the plane, they proceeded to mess around for over an hour and eventually were not able to fix it, So at that point, we had to get off the plane with our luggage and then we had to wait nearly an HOUR AND A HALF for a replacement plane to be available. It was a ridiculous amount of delay and led to me missing my connecting flight altogether. I am so disgusted with United that I will never use them again if I can help it.

✅ Trip Verified | Classic experience with United. My first flight was cancelled and I was stranded in Norfolk for 24 hours. No hotel was provided. I arrived in London 27 hours late, no compensation was offered. The reason for first flight cancellation was weather-related, but there was no major weather alert ongoing (it was very rainy on the East cost with alert for small aircraft), and flights from Norfolk to New York of all other companies (American Airlines and Delta) were delayed but flying. Arriving 27 hours late with not even hotel/meal voucher is just not acceptable.

"the worst airline I deal with"

✅ Trip Verified | I fly often, and this company is absolutely the worst airline I deal with. Very unfortunate, because Continental was among the best before the United/Continental merger. If you have another option, do yourself a favor and take it. My current gripe is after being stranded by them in Boston (not weather related) they want $109.00 to move to one of 20 empty seats (not first class) 15 minutes before departure. What would it cost them to be accommodating? It cost me $350 for a last minute hotel and Uber due to their poor performance.

Not Verified | 10/10 Fast Flight and Speedy Luggage Services. I was assigned to United via Air Canada. I wasn't sure of the arrangement in the beginning but very glad I got the chance to fly United. Pros: 1) Friendly flight attendant - someone was sitting in my spot. A friendly flight attendant stepped in immediately and resolved the situations for me. 2) Good in flight service - full can of soda pop was offered to me. That was a treat. 3) Fast flight - we left the gate 5 minutes ahead of schedule and arrive 30 minutes early. 4) Speedy luggage retrieval - I got off the plain and my luggage was already at the carousel waiting for me. This is the fastest that I have ever seen. 5) Excellent value for the service and I will definitely fly United again. Cons: none.

We were in a position where we thought something wouldn’t be able to work out with our luggage, but they did everything they could to help us and in the end everything worked out beautifully all thanks to both of them. ✅ Trip Verified | Boarded our flight, Sat 30 minutes, then we’re told the plane had a mechanical problem they had to fly a part from Houston, flight was canceled and new flight was three hours later than the original flight. While sitting there, none of the promised services were available and the in flight entertainment consisted of theee movies. Laughable. Problem 1: after getting off the plane we were exiting the terminal and the attendant was beyond rude. She acted like we were completely stupid for being confused and not knowing what to do. She never offered help. Problem 2: after thirty minutes of people sitting in the terminal and on the floor, they finally announced the flight would now be leaving in four hours.There are no concessions for anyone with a disability either. You are on your own. So to sum it up, spent $1000 to fly to Washington. United took that money and gave me the worst service I have ever experienced. Not only will I never consider a flight with this airline again.

"I need to check in My backpack"

✅ Trip Verified | Flight was OK. I had a horrible experience when I checked in for my flight Tuesday morning May 30th at 4am in Portland PDX Airport. When I check in though Tuesday morning to my Flight at 4am the staff told me that I need to check in My backpack and pay $35 fee for it. I paid the fee and then she told me that I need to check in the bag. I didn't do that because that's why I travel light. So she told me that I need to consolidate my purse with backpack. I did that also at 4am my flight taking off at 5am. After I executed all her orders another United employee asked me if I wanted a refund for my $35 charges for backpack. I didn't got my money back. I been through all that at 4am in a strange state even though I didn't have a issue with my belongings when I flew in Friday May 26 but I had 5 days later on May 30th . I thing that what happened to me was ridiculous, I think that the employees should be trained properly, act respectful with customers because what happened to me was not a pleasant experience with United and I will try to not fly with you.

✅ Trip Verified | I was very disappointed in United Polaris Business Class. Compared to Qatar Business Class, Swiss Business Class, Even Aer Lingus Business Class, United really fails! The catering was absolutely terrible on United! The manner of the service is like coach class. The flight attendants were fine but look like being on board was the last place they wanted to be. This is in contrast to the genuinely happy, attentive and polite flight attendants on Qatar Airways. United has finally added a mattress pad to cover the seats which is common sense but UA did not offer this for a long time. Thus it was like sleeping on a bed that thousands of people had slept in. The food quality and service on plastic tray was classless! The worst being the food quality. Also, I a 6'1" slim but could not bend my knees up when on my side as the bed width was too narrow. I was really disappointed with United Polaris Business. They fall very short of the international competition. I will not be flying them again anytime soon!

"Absolute worst airline to fly"

✅ Trip Verified | Absolute worst airline to fly. Economy only allows no carryon and one personal item with ridiculously small size requirements. Connecting flight was overbooked and even those allowed “premium” carryons were forced to check bags as the plane was full. First flight was delayed by 5 hours, so we were forced to switch from our one-way to a flight with a layover. Will never fly United again, I suggest you don’t either.
