"There is barely enough leg room"

Trip Verified | We flew in the middle of January and we were very disappointed that the arm rests on the window side of the premium economy seats wouldn't move, they were standard arm rests and there is no reason they shouldn't move. There is barely enough leg room for anyone over 6 ft. The crazy young lady in the front near the aisle reclined her seat (permanently on purpose) and my travel companion could barely get out to go to the bathroom without abruptly brushing her seat. Lufthansa flight attendants are not very attentive and take very little corrective action - they didn't notice the lady in front of us never brought her seat to the up-righted position during mealtime. The TV's are really nice in this class, and the entertainment selections are excellent. The food was no better than what you'd get in economy. Premium economy is not worth the cost you are better off in business class, which we flew in on our return trip. This is not a 5 star airline at all. Lufthansa is worse than any other airline in Europe.

"Friendly crew"

Trip Verified | Booked business class seat 2F from Berlin-Tegel towards Munich. Seat 2F is a first row seat on the right side of the plane. Friendly crew and a regular economy seat with no one in the middle. There is a extra table in the middle seat. Before boarding visited the business class lounge at Tegel airport. The lounge is nice and food (breakfast) is good. Lounge is just as the airport is, out-dated. But they did make an effort to modernise it apart from the lounge chairs, there old and worn out. There is priority boarding at the gate. After take off a decent lunch was served. For wine there was just the choice red or white, no different makes (as at Austrian).

"I got a canned response"

Trip Verified | New York to Tehran via Frankfurt. On international flights, on one of the routes, you are allowed two 23kg luggage and for the rest you have to pay. The information on the website is very confusing, they have routing sections, and numbers but no clear explanation from point A to B. So, I called the customer service number and asked what the cost would be. She took my reservation number, checked the flight and came back with the quote that it would cost $125.00 Fast forward, at the airport, at the checking counter, looking to checkin the extra bag and we are asked to pay $230. Obviously at this point, there is nothing you can do, except pay. Anyway, there was no reasoning, so I paid. Then I wrote a complaint. After two weeks of no reply and sending two emails, I got a canned response.

"rudely hushed me"

Trip Verified | Frankfurt to Dublin. My first ever bad experience with the crew at the gate for boarding. The guy was reviewing my Passport (Swedish), flipping through it and asking control question to which I answered. But he kept flipping through it for a while, showing the guy next to him and asking him questions. I asked twice what the issue was; to which both rudely hushed me and responses that I ought to relax. I only asked what the issue was, as I could be or assistance when it’s my passport which seems to confuse them. Unprofessional.

"Never been so emotionally stressed"

Trip Verified | Sao Paulo to Dublin via Frankfurt. I booked the flight over the phone in euros which was fine, the lady told me it would be confirmed within 4 hours, my flight was leaving 20 hours after the booking so I wanted to check in as soon as possible so I could reserve a seat beside my wife for a 12 hour flight. 10 hours later it wasn't comfirmed so I called customer service, was told it would be put on priority and confirmed straight away, 2 hours later it still wasn't so called back again and was told they had to charge my card in USD so it would go onto the priority list and confirmed "straight away"! 1 hour later it still wasn't confirmed, called back again was told they would definetly sort it out now and would be done within minutes. 2 hours later called back to be told by a very rude woman that the booking was cancelled and if have to go to the airport to pay for the flight, she wasn't apologetic at all and didn't feel any way responsible that the only way I was finding out it was cancelled was by calling them! Arrived at the airport asap to be told our flight had been cancelled and there was no seats left on the plane. Had to go to another airline and buy a flight for €4000 that didn't leave for 7 hours! Never been so emotionally stressed in my life. Please avoid Lufthansa airline if you can. I'll give 1 rating cause the first customer service guy was nice and knew they were in the wrong.

"Lost my luggage"

Trip Verified | Denver to Munich. Horrible service, huge delays, incorrect titles on checkin and boarding displays. Lost my luggage upon arrival in Dusseldorf. The lady on the baggage tracing counter took 30 minutes to process 3 customers. had absolutely no regard for people standing in line, kept on working without acknowledging the people waiting.

"excellent product in economy"

Trip Verified | I had a wonderful flight with Lufthansa from Paris to Tbilisi via Munich on 29th of December. The flight from Paris to Munich is 1 hour and full bar service was offered with a tasty sandwich. The flight from Munich to Tbilisi was three and half hours with excellent service. The hot meal was good, and it was nice of them to offer a bar service three times during the dinner. The crew team was exceptionally outstanding in their service, beyond the excellent that Lufthansa is known for. The chief of cabin was very attentive and made very good announcements before takeoff, during the flight and after landing (including new year and orthodox upcoming Christmas wishes). On this route, Lufthansa has excellent product in economy class. This is my favorite airline.

"cancelled flight notification"

Trip Verified | Leipzig to Frankfurt. Got a cancelled flight notification just 1 day before the boarding day, then they automatically changed me to another flight which was late than 6 hours! So that I had to reach my destination late at night instead of afternoon.

Trip Verified | Amman to Frankfurt. This was an overnight flight. Business class was economy seating with the the middle seat left vacant. The flight attendant made one pass in the first hour and we never saw her again. I selected an aisle seat, checked in with an aisle seat, got on the plane and had a window seat. There were two women in the front of the plane, and both of us had window seats. The other woman had also selected an aisle seat. The two women were also the only ones in a three seat section with another passenger. I brought this to Lufthansa's attention and they said they make no guarantee that the seat you ask for is the seat you get. I then clarified my concern relative to women, They again ignored that part of my question, and reminded me that they had already addressed my question - there are no guarantees that anyone will get the seat they have selected.
