"the most comfortable seats"

Trip Verified | Bangkok to London via Frankfurt. Lufthansa 2 for 1 business ticket offer. Flights fully operated by LH. Evening check-in in BKK. The trainee at the counter forgot to give us fast track cards for security/immigration which was quite a pain as it was a very busy night at BKK so we had to go back to check-in to collect cards. Security/immigration was quick and efficient. Boarding started on time and was very quick. Blanket and pillow was waiting at the seat and amenity kits were handed out shortly after, as were welcome drinks. Orders from bar were taken prior to take off but dinner orders were only taken after the seat belt sign had been turned off. Despite this dinner was completed in just 90 min after take off. The food was ok but nothing special. The seat, while lacking privacy and not being all aisle access, have to be the most comfortable seats I have ever been in. Whether sitting up, lying down or picking the "relax" position the seat was great. The entertainment system was great and easy to use with a good selection of movies and tv shows. Breakfast served prior to landing while ok was perhaps the least tasty meal of this trip. The intention was good but the whole dish had ended up being very dry and boring. The crew were quite non-descriptive as they were going through the motions and while not unfriendly they did not seem to engage at all, a very forgettable crew. Landing in FRA was on time. FRA-LHR was on time and a very average intra European business class trip. The crew here were quite a bit better than the long haul crew as they were fun and engaging and eager to please on the short flight.

"no privacy between the seats"

Trip Verified | Munich to Miami. Overall the trip was ok. The configuration of the seats on the aircraft is slightly too compressed, compared to other airlines with the same aircraft. There is no privacy between the seats and the comfort of the cushion was a really bad surprise, not what I was expecting from a business class seat. The service on board is in line with the expectation, really friendly and regardful. Wi-Fi service costs extra money, even with a business class ticket or for members of Miles&More which is disappointing. starting with 7 EUR just for the slow connection and going up to 29 EUR for the premium one. Considering the high price of the ticket, it could have been complimentary. The entertainment is ok, nothing special. The screen is quite small and not in a very comfortable position. The selection of movies is good, also the possibility to see the external cameras.

"food choice was poor"

Trip Verified | Seoul to Manchester via Frankfurt. Lufthansa cannot be compared to other 5-Star Airlines and is a poor relation. The first leg was in a 20 year old 747-400, although clean, it is showing its age. Wifi did not work. The food choice was poor and poorly presented, the wine list consists of two reds and two whites, both very average. The seat comfort was not good and the placement of the screen disturbs neighbour who may wish to sleep. Frankfurt airport is a mess. Second flight on a A320 Neo, was not better, seats very thin? Business class seats same as economy but with middle seat empty, same legroom as economy. Buy two economy would be cheaper. Snack served. Ticket was keenly priced though.

"such a bad experience"

Trip Verified | Frankfurt to Nairobi. Our flight UA 58 from SFO was late arriving in Frankfurt which caused my sister and I to run from one end of the terminal to another. I am 75 years of age and my sister 67. Once we arrived at the security check in, the guards further the delay causing us to miss our connecting flight to Nairobi. We were then told the next available fight would be the following day at the same time. We had to leave the secured area to contact personnel to reschedule our flight, which was a night mare in itself. Once at the "Customer Service" the agent rebooked us to flight to Heathrow and the onto Nairobi on Kenya Air. We arrived in Nairobi at 05:00 the next morning, having put a very long flight into a much longer flight. The last leg of our flight was from Cape Town to Frankfurt and then on to SFO. Because of the missed flight at the beginning of the trip my sister was unable to check-in online to secure her flight arrangements. After many frustrating calls to your 866 number and talking to someone who English was not understandable, we retired for the evening and called again the next day and finally spoke to someone who helped with confirming our flight and my sister was then able to check-in online. I have no idea what my cellphone fee will be for the call, but this could have been avoided if the error was not made it the first place and when you hirer someone ensure that they speak perfectly clear English. In the future, I will avoid booking any flights with Lufthansa. This is the first time I have written a review, but I have never had such a bad experience with an airline in the last 10 years of travel.

"very nice and professional"

Trip Verified | Dallas to Amman via Frankfurt. It's our first time using Lufthansa Air Line, really it was a very nice trip, we enjoy it very much. Ground Service Manager in Dallas DFW Airport, was very nice and cooperative. He was so nice to all passengers. We recommend to use Lufthansa Air Line, they are very nice and professional.

"very poor value for money"

Trip Verified | Luanda to Rome via Frankfurt. Everything is cheap; the quality of the business class seat, ground service, lounges, the food. Cabin crew and ground staff were rude and unhelpful to me. Transiting through Frankfurt is a nightmare. Considering the prices of tickets, this is very poor value for money.

"Lufthansa was very helpful"

Trip Verified | Timisoara to London via Munich. I was going to fly during heavy snow and was expecting to miss my connecting flight from Munich to London. That meant I had to spend a night in Munich since all of the flights to London that day were fully booked. Lufthansa was very helpful with free accomodation, transport to and from the hotel and a 25 euro dinner voucher. They also bumped up my flight class, meaning that I received more miles (for Miles&More programme) that I would normally get for a european flight.

"Poor service and selfishness"

Trip Verified | Frankfurt to San Diego on January 27, 2019. The Business Class section had 2 toilets, one of which was taped shut as inoperative, even before we left Frankfurt. So there was only one operating toilet. The Purser allowed us in the Business Class section to use a toilet in the front of the aircraft. Unfortunately, the Captain of the flight wanted that toilet for his use and barred the passengers from using it. So passengers made do with the long queues at the other toilets. Poor service and selfishness. I did not expect this of a Lufthansa Captain.

"horrible post-flight service"

Trip Verified | The complaint is not with the flight itself but rather with horrible post-flight service. And attitude. Snowstorm in Europe. Budapest departure delayed. Thus missed connecting LH MUC-DEN flight. Rebooked LH MUC-ORD-DEN. 2-hour wait. Boarded LH MUC-DEN. Told we had to wait at gate for people arriving from Greece. LH MUC-ORD departure thus delayed nearly 2 hours. Long time to sit on the plane. Thus, missed UA ORD-DEN connecton. At LH service desk in ORD, discovered my wife had been booked by MUC LH on LH ORD-LAX, not ORD-DEN. LH ORD told us only choice was to take AA flight next morning to DEN. As that was the only choice that LH offered, we accepted. LH put us up in a distant rather basic hotel. Arrived at AA (Terminal 3) early next morning to check in. Long line. Denied boarding. AA said LH incorrectly booked our AA tickets. We have to go to LH in Terminal 1 to sort it out. Thus missed AA flight. Arrived at LH in Terminal 1 and told they would not open for 8 hours. Went to UA, they tried to help. There was a UA flight at 8.45 to DEN. Why didnt LH book us on that instead of AA. UA called LH to get OK to write the ticket (Hey, Star Alliance, right?). LH agrees but disconnected before transaction completed. UA agent calls again. Starts to tell story, disconnect. Calls again, starts to tell story, disconnect. Finally he is able to tell the story and again request OK to issue ticket. LH says: NO! No? Yes, no. You have to go back to AA (Terminal 3) and ask AA to reissue the ticket to UA. But, wait, there is no valid AA ticket. That is the problem. In any event, if we go back to AA, we will miss the UA flight. So I buy the tickets, and I will ask LH to reimburse. UA prints out receipt and says surely LH will reimburse. After all, if the LH agent in ORD had been paying attention, he would have issued a ticket on UA and not AA in the first place. However, now, LH says no refund. Not even for goodwill. We have received off letters from LH about this. LH says the wait for passengers in MUC, the misbooking of my wife to LAX instead if DEN, the failure by the LH agent in ORD to find to the UA connection to DEN, and the improperly issued AA tickets in ORD were all due to bad weather in Europe. It took us 42 hours to get to DEN. I will try to avoid using LH in the future. The ground staff was incompetent and uncaring. The customer service agents are insulting by their dismissiveness (the replies are obviously form letters).
