"service and meals good"

(Zambia)

Verified Review | Lusaka - Beijing return via Dubai with Emirates. All flights departed and arrived on time. Service and meals good. Ticket price was very good, under $700 return. No one can beat the Emirates in-flight entertainment. Connection time in Dubai was 4 hours out and 5 hours back, received meal vouchers for both legs of the journey when checking in. Increased checked baggage allowance, now 2 x 23 kg, was great. Check in online very easy with free seat selection. NB: if you require a visa for the country you are traveling too, you can still check in on line but will not be able to print your boarding pass as the check in counter must first verify your visa.

"excellent hard working Cabin Crew"

(United Kingdom)

Flew Bangkok to London via Dubai with Emirates. Very long check in queue at Bangkok, a queue that barely moved for 2 hours, possibly a computer problem but efficient when I reached the desk. Excellent hard working Cabin Crew on both legs. Slightly odd to get breakfast on a night flight on the first leg, but the lunch from Dubai to London was lovely Salmon with rice, and my wine glass was kept full for 6 hours by the lovely crew.

"eat anytime wasn't true"

(Australia)

Verified Review | Flew Emirates from Perth to Munich via Dubai. Soon after boarding we had to fill out a menu card to select our meal. Despite being told we could choose when we eat the meal, service was at a fixed time. A few hours later when it was time to serve the meal I was told they had run out. They could have worked that out hours before as I was unable to eat the other selections. They said they would write it up to ensure it didn't happen again on the next flight but the next flight knew nothing about it. So the eat anytime wasn't true, nor was their resolution. The travel instructions for the business class driver showed the wrong address on his chit in Dubai. It was not the address we provided. Obviously we got lost. The lounges were very ordinary. Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice shame on you, fool me thrice - never.

"recommended flight experience"

(United Kingdom)

Verified Review | Bangkok to Dubai with Emirates. Boarding efficient, although flight less than half full in business. Cabin crew were attentive offering drinks pre take off. Soon after take off drinks were offered and breakfast orders taken (no large meal as late night departure). I did not use entertainment system as wanted to sleep. Flight attendant helped to fit mattress. Upon waking I asked for the express breakfast of a warm pastry and coffee that was quickly served. Arrived a few minutes late and quickly disembarked. Overall a positive and recommended flight experience.

"very good service"

(Norway)

Verified Review | We were flying from Oslo to Johannesburg via Dubai and return 2 weeks later with Emirates. Fantastic comfortable flights with very good service. Even my wife had no complaints, nothing but praise. We especially enjoyed the first leg from Oslo to Dubai with a very pleasant crew. (This was partially during daytime). Food and drinks galore. I did not use the WiFi. Will definately fly them again.

"leg space is above average"

(Malaysia)

Verified Review | The leg space is above average, and is pretty comfortable. The cabin crew were nice and attentive. The ICE entertainment was great with a big screen, and various options to look for. The food though was okay, not that good but not bad either. I am okay with it as long as it is edible. The snacks that came along with the food were good. There is also free 10MB wifi which was good enough for me to send a text. Generally, I enjoyed my first time flying with Emirates. Not to forget, the cost of the tickets was reasonable. Kuala Lumpur - Dubai - Casablanca and return for approximately 500 Euros, which is not bad at all.

"a very cramped space"

(Thailand)

Verified Review | Bangkok - Hong Kong. Greeted with indignance at Bangkok Lounge which was my very first impression of Emirates having flown Singapore and Qatar many times. Comfortable lounge. On board brand new A380-800 was comfortable with all the latest gadgets. Food ok and wine list a credit to the selectors except for Champagne. Why would you choose such a large House as Moet which seems totally out of balance with the rest of the wine selections? Friendly service although not as professional as Singapore and Qatar. HKG-BKK on an older A380 was a real experience. Seats feel more cramped than the new version although I have read they are the same width. Nowhere to put your arms when reclining and it feels like a very cramped space. Food was downright awful and service was staff who in their attempt to be over friendly and hip just got it wrong. I would much pefer to pay the extra money for Singapore and Qatar where I am almost guaranteed of a better experience. Upon disembarkation the staff were very rude. They forgot to give me my arrival papers on board.

"no system, no organisation"

(United Kingdom)

Expecting a great deal based on other reviews we decided to pay more to fly with Emirates from Dubai to London Heathrow. Unhelpful Emirates Staff at Heathrow - could barely muster a smile. Completely oversold their family friendly service. It was a guessing game as to what we had to do with the stroller for our 7 month old. Although the kids meals were given as they had been pre-ordered I don't think they were particularly great quality. In terms of the cabin crew - rude, unfriendly and I could go on. We were issued the wrong menu - no apology. I asked for a glass of water for my little girl and it was as if I'd asked for gold. The serving of the food and drinks was very disjointed - no system, no organisation. I wasn't offered food twice as they bypassed me. My partner was missed out on a few occasions too. No apology. They didn't bother with the kids, I went to change the baby and when I was returning to my seat I had to wait in the aisle for 5 mins for them to move out of the way. They are clearly more important than you. The toilets were not maintained. I have always flown with Virgin in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

"friendly flight attendants"

(United States)

EK208 from New York JFK to Dubai on May 18. Check-in lines were slow and the agent that checked us in acted like he wanted to be anywhere but there. Boarding was late and done by Zone numbers on boarding passes. The agents were strict about it and I like that - board when it's your zone and not just push and shove. Friendly flight attendants throughout the flight except one attendant who was stoic and robotic. All the others were smiles and happy to get water or snacks. Smooth take off and delicious meal (and plenty of it) was served within 90 minutes of take off. Tons of movie/TV options on ICE - but wifi wasn't working. No big deal but Emirates touts it so much it was a bit of a bummer. Screaming kids throughout the flight - not EK fault but they put the families with children in the first 2 sections of economy so if you want quiet sit in the last 2 sections. Pizza snack provided mid-flight, and in the galley fresh fruit, drinks and snacks available throughout flight. Landing in Dubai around 1pm they provided a breakfast which was good but better if it had been a lunch due to the time. One thing - the seat is ok at first but after 10 hours your bottom will be sore. Bring your own pillow or cushion and save yourself some pain. Smooth landing and short taxi to Terminal 3, but sat on the plane an extra 20 minutes as gate agents had some issue with electrical connection to the plane for the APU. Off the plane and quickly through immigration, but bags took a bit of time coming. Overall a good flight and for the price ($800 round-trip) worth the value.

"business lounge in the dark ages"

(United Arab Emirates)

Barcelona to Dubai with Emirates. Barcelona is one of the most passenger friendly airports we have ever flown through. From arrival to departure everthing to negotiate is very easy and it is for sure one of most favourite airports. However, the business class lounge is really in the dark ages. The food offering is really just appalling. Yesterday, there were 3 bowls of crisps, tortillas chips and bread bits. Sandwiches which had no butter, and just a piece of meat shoved in between. On another tray with a sign that says no pork, there is another tray of small rolls with cheese and stuff etc. It was lunch time when we went in and I was hungry having had a 4 hour journey to get to the airport. A tray of danish pasties appeared from the kitchen, at lunch time. On another counter there were plastic bowls of pasta salad. Just pasta with a dollop of cesar dressing. Getting on wifi is a huge mission. This is not in anyway shape or form Emirates standard of lounge and really needs to be addressed. Business and First class fares are not cheap and we have come to expect better than what is offered in Barcelona Airport.
