"not enough seating"

Not Verified | Been to 3 out of the four terminal's here, all equally horrendous. Poor layout, not enough seating and lack of food and amenities is par for the course.

"it has improved over the years"

Trip Verified | Although I think this airport has a long way to go, I would like to separate the exaggerations and blatant false complaints from the real situation. I have flown from all the available terminals whether domestic or international. The main problem of the place is truly overcrowding otherwise it's a serviceable port. It could use more seats though it has improved over the years. Amount of food concessionaires is just passable, could use more and definitely won't enjoy a long stay. The terminals are regularly clean and bathrooms are clean and have bidets. Slowly improving airport. Just ok for an on time departure and arrival, I wouldn't like to stay for more than 4 hours.

"I don't like terminal seating"

Not Verified | The only things that I don't like are the terminal seating, terminal cleanliness and airport staff. Especially airport staff wasn't allowed me to go to toilet after going into the gate. That's stupid thing happen in my life. Doesn't makes any sense, does it?

I just used T1 a couple of weeks ago going to Tokyo and will have to use tomorrow again to travel to Sydney. Renovation was a joke some new carpets and signs is not what this airport needs. By far the worst airport I have ever been to and I have been to a lot. T3 is just two notches better but still worse than any airport in Asia and Latin America. You might imagine how it looks compared to Europe or America. If possible avoid. First timers in Manila get scared and shocked when arriving. Fortunately after driving for some minutes you discover Manila is actually nice and not the war zone this airport leads you to believe it is.

Flew out of Terminal 1 late evening of March 2. I live in the Philippines (I am British) and use the airport several times a year. While not a great airport I never thought it was a candidate for the world's worst until now. The place was on the point of collapse with the flight information system not working the drop off area like a war zone chaotic queues laughably confusing inaccurate or non existent signage immigration staff who did not have a clue how to process foreigners with resident status and disgusting airport lounge facilities. As someone who wishes the Philippines well I find it hard to understand how this airport can be so appallingly managed. It is definitely not more fun in Terminal 1.
