"Chaotic organisation"

(Czech Republic)

Trip Verified | Worst airport I have ever been to. 30 minute line to get into terminal shuttle area, another 40 minutes waiting for terminal shuttle. Almost no departurture/arrival screens. Queues for taxi, overcharging by metered taxi. No refreshments in public areas. Chaotic organisation. Terrible airport. Big shame.

"an embarrassment"

(United States)

Unverified | Manila is the worst international airport I've been to. Avoid. We got stuck here for a 6 hour layover and I cannot wait to get out of here. The whole terminal is a 75 m stretch without a single restaurant. The food options are horrible. They have a few small coffee shops, but some of them only take cash, no credit card. And there is nowhere to exchange money. The seats are very uncomfortable. The flooring is tile, so not an option to sit on the floor. This airport is an embarrassment as largest airport of the Philippines. It's better to connect through Singapore.

"queues are just too long"

(Malaysia)

Not Verified | My mutiple experience at departure immigration truly made me sick! The queues are just too long and too slow. Can't understand why no action has been taken to improve it. Don't tell me no politician ever travels through this airport. Locals like my wife had to suffer even longer quene than me. Just can't understand why exiting the country needs biometrics to be taken.

"Passenger terminal is too cramped"

(Thailand)

Trip Verified | Improvements being done in Terminal 2 leaves so much to be desired. I am not sure if airport managers or Philippine Airlines are serious on improving passenger experience. There is too much congestion both inside the terminal as well as at the runway. Flight was delayed, plane was on queue for an hour before it took-off. Passenger terminal is too cramped, seats arranged close to each other that one's head can bump into another seated behind. There is no room to relax as all spaces are noisy due to endless announcements. There is no decent restaurant nor cafe after immigration.

"Very bad transit experience"

(United States)

Trip Verified | Airport shuttle services is a joke! When I transit through this airport, I always have a very bad experience with how the process goes every time. All the confusion and miscommunication causes people to miss their flights. Airport shuttle services between Terminal 1, 2, 3 & 4 will take almost 1 hour via poor management and heavy traffic due to bad civil design and road conditions. This is by far one of the worst international airport I’ve traveled through. I would strongly recommend if anyone can avoid coming through Manila International Airport. And the WIFI is not good for domestic phones only.

"Avoid transit here"

(Australia)

Trip Verified | Avoid transit here at all costs. If changing terminals for either a US or Australian connection, the process is horrific and you need to claim your bags and have them checked before proceeding. We saw so many other passengers just looking dazed and confused and angry - the whole thing is a terrible experience. They do most things by hand and are terribly meticulous about numbers - this is not a bad thing, but its 2023 not 1985! They've also lost a piece of our luggage too, here's a form to fill out.

Manila Airport customer review

(Philippines)

Recently used both Terminals 2 and 3 for international flights. Terminal 2 used by Philippine Airlines is horrible. There is only one toilet each for men and women at the departure area. The long queue of passengers are indeed disappointing. Terminal 3 has a lot of facilities that are under repair. Seats are limited so many people are seated on the floor. Terminal 3 is a noisy airport full of unnecessary announcements heard in the entire area. Why would they announce the arrival of a domestic flight in a boarding area for international flight? Why would one airlines boarding procedure announced to the entire international terminal?

Manila Airport customer review

(United States)

Bar none the worst airport I have ever flown to. The facilities were cramped poorly lit and shockingly dirty with terminal seats being stained with all manners of drinks/food. Due to unknown security regulations there were three separate security checks on top of Customs and Immigration that often created long bottlenecks in the airport. Once in the terminal area there were few food and beverage options with only one female bathroom for multiple gates of large intercontinental aircraft. Worse still you could not access the restroom without exiting one of the three security layers and having to be re-screened again. There is simply no reason why a country that so strongly advertises for tourism should have it's main international airport be so antiquated.

Manila Airport customer review

(Philippines)

I have travelled through the international wing of Terminal 2 several times since last year. The problem remains the same. Airport management has not increased the number of toilets at the boarding area causing long lines of women passengers taking their turns to use such limited facility. Cleanliness is not maintained well. The airport leaves an impression how a country like the Philippines does not care about health and hygiene of passengers.

Manila Airport customer review

(Australia)

Terminal 2 designed in the 1960's and renovated. Friendly staff, but I can't say one good thing about the facilities. Multiple unnecessary security checks, overlapping queues, insufficient waiting or seating space, poor food, minimal air con. Aircraft late departure due to hold-ups for poor passenger handling. A poor advertisement for tourism.
