"Dissatisfying Experience"

Trip Verified | Dissatisfying Experience - A Once Top-Tier Airline's Downfall. I regret to say that my recent experience with the airline, which was once considered a top-tier airline, left much to be desired. Despite the hefty price tag, the overall service fell short of expectations, leading to a disappointing journey. Initially drawn in by the airline's prestigious reputation and high-end image, I expected a level of service commensurate with the cost. However, my experience quickly took a downturn when I encountered various issues throughout my trip. Flight delays became an all-too-common occurrence, leading to inconvenient disruptions to my travel plans. Additionally, the seating arrangement was far from comfortable, lacking the expected space and amenities that one would expect from a premium airline. Moreover, the in-flight services were underwhelming, failing to meet the standards I had come to associate with top-tier carriers. The lacklustre customer service only exacerbated the situation, as staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive to passengers' needs. Sadly, it appears that the airline's emphasis on providing a low-cost service came at the expense of maintaining the high-quality experience they were once known for. As a result, the company's reputation seemed to have declined, and many passengers, like myself, began seeking alternatives from more competitive and value-driven airlines. It's disheartening to witness the downfall of what was once a leading player in the aviation industry. I sincerely hope that Swiss takes these criticisms constructively and endeavours to reinstate the excellence it was once celebrated for. Striking a balance between affordability and premium service is crucial for their revival in the highly competitive market. In conclusion, while the airline may still bear the vestiges of its former glory, the current experience leaves much to be desired. For travelers seeking a seamless and premium journey, there are better options available in the market today.

"rude staff especially customer service"

Not Verified | Worst experience ever with Swiss international. Delays, rude staff especially customer service. Missed connection in Zurich because of delays . Waited 7 hours with a 20euros voucher for a meal. Missed the ride at destination. On the way back delayed luggage, customer service rude and inefficient. 36 hours late I finally got my luggage at 5:40am. When I wrote a complaint I was basically told we are not part of EU so we don’t care about your complaint!- Seriously never again!

"nothing short of disappointing"

Trip Verified | "My recent experience with SWISS airlines was nothing short of disappointing. From start to finish, the entire journey was plagued with issues and setbacks. First and foremost, the customer service was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, displaying a lack of professionalism that I found extremely frustrating. Furthermore, the flight itself was far from satisfactory. The seats were uncomfortable, leaving me feeling cramped and restless throughout the entire duration of the flight. The lack of legroom was particularly unbearable, making it nearly impossible to find a comfortable position to sit in. Additionally, the in-flight entertainment was severely lacking, with a limited selection of outdated movies and TV shows. It felt like a step back in time rather than a modern travel experience. To make matters worse, the food served onboard was tasteless and unappetizing. The meals lacked variety and were of subpar quality. I was left feeling unsatisfied and hungry, which only added to my overall dissatisfaction with the airline. Lastly, the airline's punctuality was highly questionable. My flight experienced a significant delay, causing me to miss an important connection. This lack of punctuality and disregard for passengers' time is simply unacceptable. All in all, my experience with SWISS airlines was marred by poor customer service, uncomfortable seating, lackluster entertainment options, unappetizing food, and significant delays. I would strongly advise against choosing this airline if you value a pleasant and hassle-free travel experience. There are much better options available that provide superior service and comfort."

"worst airline I have ever flown with"

Trip Verified | I can confidently say that Swiss International Air Lines is the worst airline I have ever flown with. They have deleted my return ticket because I asked for a date change without my permission and didn't even inform me. I called them a few days before my original return date to see if I could change my return flight to 2 days earlier than planned, they said yes and went ahead and changed my ticket as well as sent me a confirmation email with the new dates. AA few hours later I received an email saying that my credit card used for rebooking charge didn't process. I gave them another call and this time the customer service rep said that I actually can't change my ticket and I would need to fly back during the original return date. A day before the original return flight I couldn't login to see my booking using the reference number so I called them again to learn that my return ticket was 'deleted'. They said because I asked for a change and it was not possible there were two booking under my name and they cancelled both. They robbed me off the return flight that I payed months in advance. I was told by the customer service rep this time that I could rebook my deleted return flight with a penalty and the fare difference if I preferred ... it is unbelievable but this is what they told me. When I got frustrated I was told by the customer service rep that maybe I should 'go away and think a little bit'. I ended but buying an entirely different one way ticket home that cost me over $1,000 in addition to the $1,900 roundtrip ticket that I already paid for with Swiss. T Worst airline, worst customer service.

"Avoid at all cost!"

Not Verified | Avoid at all cost! Worst airline from step one. First check in staff at the airport were unprofessional and poorly trained. Then flight kept getting delayed and delayed without any information then they told us that the aircraft is "weight restricted" so they deboard 10-15 passengers. Finally got into the plane only to be told after waiting for another hour that the flight was wrongly loaded. Please spend some extra money and fly with reputed airlines.

"Total disaster"

Trip Verified | Nobody needs something like the Swiss. Canceled flights, delayed flights, poor service. The Swiss does not even reach the level of a Ryanair. Total disaster, finally ended the tragedy and stampeded this airline. Sowas wie die Swiss braucht kein Mensch. Annullierte Flüge, verspätete Flüge, schlechter Service. Nicht mal das Niveau einer Ryanair erreicht die Swiss. Totales Desaster, beendet das Trauerspiel endlich und stampft diese "Airline" ein.

"Absolutely horrible experience"

Trip Verified | Lost our bags. 3 days later airline has no updates and still cannot located our bags. Our entire trip is ruined due to this. Customers service is non existent. Aircraft is worn, bathrooms not cleaned, terrible food and the flight attendants not attentive at all. Absolutely horrible experience would not recommend nor would I ever fly this line again.

"On board experience was much better"

Trip Verified | Chicago to Frankfurt via Zurich in Business Class. Start in Chicago was a bit disappointing. While check-in was good, security check and lounge at Terminal 5 were bad. Security check had no line for Business class passengers and the whole area was overcrowded with long waiting times. I was allowed to use the SAS lounge, which was very basic. There were no restrooms or showers, seating is limited, food and drinks (except wine) a big disappointment. The "highlight" was cold noodle salad. On board experience was much better. The cabin crew was welcoming and attentive. Service started with a drink (Champagne), later the menu was handed out. But there was no hot towel service and the amenity kit was very basic. Dinner service started shortly after take off, but while the presentation was good, the food (I had the vegetarian option) was only average. Unfortunately I’ve chosen a Swiss white wine, which was awful. My seat (12 G) was comfortable and offered enough storage space, but keep in mind that other business seats are different and offer smaller space. Entertainment system was good with an adequate screen and a great selection of movies and music. Before landing a cold breakfast was offered which you had to pre-order. My flight landed late in Zurich, but I made the connection within 30 minutes. The short connection flight on Helvetic was uneventful, the friendly cabin crew offered a small snack and drinks.

"customer service is atrocious"

Not Verified |  Their customer service is atrocious. I had to speak with 3 different people regarding an issue with my ticket. Each person told me something different and the last person literally refused to let me speak with a supervisor. They ended up cancelling my ticket and I had to book a new flight 2 days before I was supposed to leave. They did nothing to rectify the situation. The absolute worst customer service I’ve ever received.
