"Horrible customer service"

Trip Verified | Horrible customer service. Our flight was diverted from Dubai to Muscat and my rebooking was for 3 days later. I had to be in Dubai urgently and took a taxi by road. The baggage handling and customer service is completely useless. I was given the go around multiple times. The customer care line is so cold and were of no help whatsoever. Terrible airline and terrible service. I understand that there are circumstances that are beyond the airline’s control but it’s how you help passengers in those times that really defines an airline. I will never recommend this airline or fly with them ever again.

"food is the big disappointment"

Trip Verified | Airbus 220-300 is a pleasant aircraft to fly. Seat pitch in seat 1A is good. Flight on time. Flight Attendant serving Business Class passengers was terrific. The Swiss Chocolate is always a highlight. However the quantity of food served in Business Class is inacceptable. The re dwine was acceptable The food is the big disappointment if flying Swiss in Business Class on European flights.

"my luggage was delayed"

Not Verified | On both my flights to Manchester was delayed and both the flights my luggage was delayed. Worst that my luggage was badly damaged with one item missing. I had to wait 2-3 days for my luggage.

"proposed no commercial gesture"

Trip Verified |My flight from Krakow to Zurich was delayed. I asked the gate staff what will be the impact of the delay on my connection. The Staff told me: "The company should wait for your transfer". When entering the plane from Krakow to Zurich, I notified the crew about my connection and asked them to update me. I received no update from the crew. 20 minutes before arrival, the screens had some messages about the transfer. My connection was written as being rebooked. I asked the plane staff the meaning of the message. They told me that I should try to make the connection. After lending in Zurich, I ran across the terminal to catch the Zurich Boston. When I arrived at the gate: the plane was still there, the ramp was still connected to the plane, and the gate doors were still open but the staff refused my access to the plane because "I was rebooked to another plane". The gate staff had no explanation and told me to go to the assistance desk. -At the assistance desk, the agent told me that: the rebooking was done by a team somewhere because this is usually the best solution for the customers but not for my specific case. They do that to find an available seat as early as possible and avoid multi-day issues. There was no Zurich Boston the day after so they rebooked me on Lufthansa via Frankfurt. The agent had no empathy and took no ownership of the issue, she proposed no commercial gesture for making me lose a day. The agent gave me a voucher for a hotel night and a meal with no explanation on how to find the hotel -The hotel was good. I was able to arrive to Boston the day after via Lufthansa, the flight from Frankfurt to Boston had a lot of empty seats. I submitted a complaint form to Swiss. The initial answer was that the delay was due to air traffic control restrictions out of their control and they would not provide any financial compensation. I asked for evidence to support their statement of delay due to air traffic control,why Swiss rebooked me without my approval, why the rebooking option was not presented to me when I presented myself to the gate staff at Krakow, why the staff of the Krakow-Zurich was not able to give me clear direction. The only answer was "delayed due to safety reasons". What don't accept: - Staff not able to give good answer or to propose rebooking when the delay was known in Krakow - Swiss rebooking without my approval while I'm flying (since my Frankfurt - Boston had a lot of empty seats I don't think there was any urgency to rebook me) - Swiss agent lying to me when telling me there was no Zurich Boston the day after. Paying a very expensive ticket for a specific flight and being rebooked on another flight which was certainly a lot cheaper considering all the empty seats without any compensation.

“service improved significantly finally”

Trip Verified | Swiss used to be my favourite airline but the last couple of years I was under the impression their quality was going down rapidly (despite ticket prices just increased constantly). On European flights I witnessed they were serving a kind of cheap sparkling wine (Baccarat) instead of champagne (if already offered-on a few short flights they just served coffee or tea in business class). The nice and tasteful light meals they used to serve were substituted by sandwiches they previously used to serve in economy! For my recent Bangkok to Brussels flight Swiss was one of the only options left so I gave them one more try. I was pleasantly surprised service improved significantly finally. The crew were nice and friendly while previously Swiss crews often left a cold and disinterested impression. For me, a crew makes or breaks the flight experience. I was seated in a throne seat that offered a lot of space and seating comfort. Meals were really good and they were able to offer me my preferred selections which wasn’t the case on previous flights with them. It was hard for me to choose the best pairing wines but they offered me to do wine tastings of all whites and reds available so I could select my preferred ones (no need to say I really appreciated this). Only downside perhaps was the flight map wasn’t working on this flight so it was guessing how much time we still had left in the air. Having Senator status I had access to the Swiss Alpine lounge at Zürich airport before boarding my connecting flight to Brussels; this lounge is really very nice and never seems to get crowed. It has great views of the airport and the runways. Flight to Brussels was also very good with an on-time departure and arrival with an extremely friendly and professional flight attendant offering a super and impeccable service as it should be. For my next flight I certainly will consider flying Swiss again.

"not offered anything to eat"

"Not a good experience"

Not Verified | Not a good experience in terms of cabin crew, food, small seats and luggage delay. Unfriendly sour faces of the crew. It's 3 days and I am still waiting for my Bag. Contacting Swiss Air is a nightmare. They send you on a wild goose chase and they refer you to Global solutions which is the worse people to deal with. The inconvenience is extremely disappointing.

"the most uncomfortable seat"

Trip Verified | I had to endure a 12hr trip in the most uncomfortable seat. I am by no means tall and I was lucky enough not to have a neighbour. Despite this I got no sleep kit (mask, socks, toothbrush), the toilet was not been cleaned by the staff, the cabin personnel was very lukewarm and were addressing everyone on an intercontinental flight in Swiss German. In flight entertainment was also very limited

“Swiss refused to do the honorable thing”

Not Verified | Swiss Air cancelled our flight 24 hours before we were due to fly to Europe on 24th February 2024. As we had paid transfers and accommodation, the alternative flight they offered would not suffice. The lady in their call center said we can organize alternative flights and be compensated on return. We have submitted all relevant information and Swiss Air have refused to do the honorable thing and compensate us accordingly! Dealing with their call center in South Africa is frustrating and the various reasons why they won't reimburse us, sent from Switzerland, is dishonest and scandalous. I urge all of South Africa to never use Swiss Air as they truly are Star Alliance thieves.

"staff were more than disappointing"

Trip Verified | This review covers the flight from Zurich to Bangkok. Was lucky enough to get a so-called throne seat for both my partner and me. As always good product on SWISS 777 and food and seat etc. were ok, except for the entertainment options. However, staff were more than disappointing: while the service on the other aisle was fast, efficient and nice, the staff member on our side was slow, unfriendly, disinterested and, to make matters worse, more or less exclusively occupied with private conversations with other fellow travellers who also belonged to SWISS. No greeting, no farewell - as a status customer and a fully paid business class ticket, I have little understanding for this kind of behaviour. The aircraft was clean, the flight on time - as you would expect from SWISS. However, the travel experience on an 11-hour Business Call flight was clearly below all expectations.
