Not Verified | Minneapolis to Charlotte. Usual poor customer service we have all come to expect from airline companies. Flight delays, overbooked flight, and no room for overhead baggage. App wouldn't load tickets at time of flight (website also encountering errors). On site customer service reps were extremely slow.

✅ Trip Verified | Los Angeles to Sacramento. American Airlines is the nastiest between the US airlines! Next time will fly with Alaska! It was last flight and canceled it and there was another fight get issues like my flight too. The seats are too small although im not a big guy. There was plenty of empty seats from my flight from SMF-LAX but they put us three people in three small seats! not sure why no flight attendants even ask us are you comfy? d

✅ Trip Verified | Flying from New York to Chicago was repeatedly delayed due to weather. After calling customer service to try to change flights I was put on hold for 40 minutes. Then when I requested the change I was told by the representative that she did not have access to the flight info and I would have to re-book at the desk when I got to the airport. When I went to the desk I was told that “customer service is lazy and should have already re-booked me.” A 1255pm flight ended taking off at 345pm. After landing and Waiting at the gate we were informed that the jet bridge is broken and we have to move to another gate. 50 minutes of sitting on the runway with no plan to get off the plane.

✅ Trip Verified | Miami to Paris. I would like to say thank you to Godfrey a supervisor in the reservation service department for assisting me with my reservation after having the worst experience with a representative on the phone. After having doubts why I became an Aviator Advantage member when I spoke with Godfrey he made all my traveling plans at ease, Thank you once again.

✅ Trip Verified | London to Miami. On Saturday flew AA39 and had the most uncomfortable flight ever, have been flying with American Airlines for over 25 years and clocked over 1 million miles. Legroom has been reduced and the seats slope down so arrived in Miami with a back ache. The crew were dong their best but must be demoralized by have to work with such a poor product. Will have to endure the return trip but probably the last time I fly with AA.

✅ Trip Verified | Chicago to Vancouver. Incredibly bad service. The cabin was cold. Flight attendant made no effort to address this when requested. Flight attendant disappeared to the back of the plane. Never came by after the first 1/2 hour to see if there were any client needs. Flight attendant looked disheveled. Torn stockings. Chewing gum. When she finally showed up at the end of the flight and took her seat, she sat down, chewing her gum, focused on her cell phone. No hello or goodbye on entry/exit. Suggestion, in these times of competition for customer dollars, a little bit of 4-seasons training for this employee would be a great idea. As an employer, I would have instantly terminated her.

Not Verified | Baltimore Washington to Charlotte. Every time I fly with American Airlines they have a “maintenance issue”. I should have learned my lesson. I try to avoid using them. I went for the direct flight and they lived up to my fear and cancelled my flight They are not worth booking flights with. They always have delays and inconveniences. I feel sorry for those who have to work the front lines and deal with customers. I will not fly American Airlines again!

✅ Trip Verified | Oklahoma City to Los Angeles. We showed up at 0440 for our 0610 flight only to make it to baggage check in to be told that because we checked our bags at 0516 that we were too late to check in because we were having to wait in line because they didn't have enough attendants to help everyone. They told us to stand to the side waiting even longer I helped just to find out had they did their job we should have boarded. My first and last time flying American Airlines never again. They just rebooked us on a full flight telling us maybe we would get on.

Not Verified | I had to purchase a new outgoing ticket due to scheduling conflicts. Not a single customer service representative mentioned anything i had to do to maintain my return flight. I verified that flight time, bought a new ticket and went on my trip. Only to discover, when I tried to fly home they had cancelled my reservation. There were still open seats on that flight but they refused to honor my ticket because I had been unable to make the initial flight. They were incredibly unhelpful, unsympathetic, and rude about the entire thing and wanted me to pay an additional 400$ for a ticket on a flight i had already booked and paid for weeks in advance. I will not be flying this airline again

✅ Trip Verified | Detroit to Chicago. I find it incredibly unaccomodating that I was told I could not be given a seat next to my husband even if there was one available, because they were not to accommodate someone with basic economy.
