Not Verified | Upon landing at Dublin Airport after a long flight from Dubai flying Emirates, we entered what can only be described as a Terminal that looks like it hasn’t had an update since the 1970s. Full flight of were greeted with an escalator that was broken or just not switched on. Hundreds of passengers had to walk up the steep escalators which was now a “Stairs” whilst a security guard looked on. After passengers “Climbed” the escalator stairs, we were greeted by passport customs chaos. One of the security guards was loudly complaining that the staff who we’re supposed to be there to greet the flight hadn’t turned up on time “In His Words” even though they knew when the flight was coming in. Very embarrassing for Dublin when this is tourists first impression of the country. I’ve since been told that one of the Terminals has been upgraded, but I strongly suggest that you quickly upgrade the other one. Or at the very least, have the escalator in a working condition. Also might be an idea to give your staff a Shake Up and train them to be a little bit more professional, ie actually turning up and being in position before commuters arrive at the Terminal. Not the best first impression for tourists entering the country.

✅ Trip Verified | Security staff was extremely slow, rude and impolite, at least on April 16th around 18:30. Collapsed airport, with no seats available and everyone seating on the floor. There is not any single indication outside on where to return the rental cars.

Not Verified | I have long been a critic of Dublin airport most especially terminal 1 which to put it bluntly was a complete basket case in every respect from cleanliness to staff attitude and demeanour filthy toilets etc. To my surprise I noticed vast improvement on my recent passage thru it on the 9th April.Given the limitations of this terminal (no longer fit for purpose) the improvements though small in many ways indicates a changed approach to customer care. I hope it continues. The DAA lounge on last visit was shocking. This time vastly improved. I hope the trend continues

✅ Trip Verified | Lost in the confusion of a fire alarm, thousands confused of what to do and security and staff the same! No announcement people going up and down levels in terminal, staff saying different things and shouting different instructions with know one taking charge. We were told to go outside but when we got to bottom of stairs told to stay, then allowed upstairs and told to go down. Comical to say the least. Thankfully no actual fire but staff need training regularly for this and leadership, beyond that a great airport.

Not Verified | No one cleaning the floor or food areas. Where we sat before entering the departure area after security the windows smeared with hard ketchup. Filthy airport and no seating of comfort. Saw people or staff with designation Hygiene Team but not doing a damn thing. Cafes not cleaning tables after people leave. I cleaned our table with bleach wipes. Disgusting. YVR is 10 times better as is YYJ.

✅ Trip Verified | As soon as we arrived at the airport from Barcelona around 2 pm on March 14 we immediately were signaled to go through the boarding gates for connecting flights. I reached the first gate with 2 men (the youngest of the two working on the crew that day) guided the passengers to go through the line without checking passports. As soon as I was following the rest of the crowd through the guy at the gate prompted me and my partner to check our passports. Nobody else but us were singled out. Discrimination at its finest. I made it known what my frustration was why he has to treat us different than the rest of the passengers. I am beyond distraught and heavily disappointed with this. I was so upset I did not ask for his name.

✅ Trip Verified | Dirty toilets. Hand soap empty in all machines. Duty free staff did not know the limit for alcohol or cigarettes. The girls on the Jameson Whiskey counter said it was either 2 litres or 4 litres but they weren't sure but anyway no one ever checks because they can't be bothered. At the general duty free a similar experience.

✅ Trip Verified | Worst possible start to our holiday. Enormous queues to passport control. 500 people and 1 passport police working for EU citizens. Dirty toilets, rundown in general.

Not Verified | I lost my back page with all my money and documents by my mistake and the airport staff, security and police was very helpful, efficient and my agony last only 10 minutes because how fast they acted! That was best experience in my worst situation!

Not Verified | Dublin Airport is the worst in Europe, all departures delayed, queues for check-in, there is no entry to Terminal 1 for departures. Very big mess with luggage
