Flew Darwin to Perth on 737-800 with winglets. No problem scoring exit row seats and with a hot meal served (which was very nice and a decent serve) plus complimentary beer and wine cannot really complain. I have taken this flight many times and service is always very good and catering better than other flights. Still love the cheese and crackers and ice-cream later on. After Feb flights to Sydney/Melbourne with appalling catering this was a nice return to the Qantas I like and the reason I fly them.

MEL-SIN on an A330. As a long time QFF I was a little disappointed with many aspects of this flight. Our flight was delayed 2 hours due to 'faulty cockpit part' which had to be flown down from Brisbane. My partner and I travelled in Economy - the seats were dated with little leg room. The entertainment system was old tired and responded poorly to commands from the remote. The food was reasonable with a tasty side salad and a good offering of drinks and wine. Cabin crew were friendly and helpful. The flight was three quarters full so we were able to spread out during meal times. We arrived late but gladly at one of the best airports in the world - Changi. On international routes (aside from its flagship MEL/SYD-DBX-LHR) Qantas compares poorly with competitive modern and innovative Middle Eastern and Asian airlines. I suspect most Australians who fly Qantas do so for the QFF points - which day by day diminish in value and are harder to earn. Particularly on a route to Singapore the options for better cheaper and more modern travel are best serviced by Emirates or Singapore Airlines. Offering the more popular Premium Economy options is one way. More modern aircraft (think: Dreamliners and A380s) and a more diverse menu offering are other helpful ideas. Time to up your game Qantas!

Sydney - Dubai return - A380 - seat 13A. Lounge facilities in Sydney were comfortable and offered an acceptable selection of snacks and drinks. Boarding was efficient. Seating comfortable meals were of good proportion and quality was excellent. Wine selection and quality good. IFE selection was varied and up to date. The addition of the mattress to the seat makes a huge difference and the PJs add to the comfort of sleeping. Service was friendly and relaxed. I think this is the hallmark of flying Qantas. Overall a good product that made for an enjoyable flight.

I took Flight QF82 from Singapore to Sydney. The departure time was at 2020 but the flight only departed at around 2100. The personal television was ok and selection of movies was ok. They served dinner and the food was pretty good. The customer service was great as if you just went to the gallery during the flight they would be more than happy to help you. The overall experience was very good.

LAX-MEL and SYD-DFW. May 2014. The LAX-MEL flight was delayed about an hour or more due to arriving passengers from JFK. The A380 mini Business Class Cabin with three rows is quiet and comfortable. My ear phones were not working and a couple of FA's offered to have me sit in the lounge to watch a movie which I did and they brought me a snack. The device did work afterwards in my seat. The flat bed really helps on a 15 hour flight. The food service was great. FA's were ready to offer any food and beverage throughout the flight. SYD-DFW had a great crew- exceptional attentive personal service. Chose 5J on the reconfigured 747-400ER and love that solo window/aisle seat. Food was good breakfast is the best and presented to you from the galley- not on a cart. ( pancakes fresh fruit smoothie/energiser drink tea toast with jam - you will not find this in the U.S.). Great conversation with a FA during landing as the Crew seat is in front of the 5A/5J seats. Slept for 7 hours on the 14 hour flight love the flat beds and the option for a mattress cover and blanket/pillow to add to the comfort. FA's are so eager to make up the bed unlike Domestic/U.S. airlines. This was one of the best experiences flying internationally second to Cathay Pacific.

Flew MEL-SIN-MEL on QF 35 and QF 36. Staff were professional meals were ok. My travel was booked with a partner airline (who performed the next two legs of the journey) and as such when I tried to purchase extra leg room seating was refused. The only saving grace was that both flights were not full and was able to move to spare seats. Top marks for effort for those on the transfer desk in Singapore. Realistically there is more room between the sates of a V-line country train than economy class on Qantas.

Brisbane to Darwin. Poor tired planes. Outbound ran out of food. Inbound 767 with ipads for the entertainment system. 4 cabin staff to service a 767 who spent most time trying to get the ipads working. Flew Qantas back in 1994 - remember now why we don't fly Qantas. Charging for a beer which can be bought in bulk for a dollar.

SYD-BKK-SYD in Business. I think QF is really stepping up with outstanding service for tough competition. Great customer service on board QF 23/24. Staff are very professional and friendly provide personalised service to business class passengers. Food and wine was very good. First class toiletry bag was given to business class passengers. Sydney first class lounge is fantastic as usual. BKK QF lounge is improved as well. It was excellent flights. Well done QF!
