"offer a good product"

Flying between London Gatwick and Bergen, Norwegian offer a good product despite being a low cost carrier. Given the price I paid for my ticket, I was not expecting much in terms of service and comfort but I was left pleasantly surprised. Despite the flight out of Gatwick being delayed 1.5 hours due to the late arrival of the aircraft, I am unable to fault Norwegian for the way in which they were constantly informing passengers on what was going on with the situation and when our new departure time would be. On the outward leg, the aircraft was one of their older 737's but nonetheless the onboard product was good. The legroom in a standard seat was probably the one downfall however given that the flight was nowhere near capacity, there was ample opportunity to recline and move around during the flight. The return leg was on one of the much newer aircraft in their fleet. Being seated at an exit row this time, the legroom provided was more than ample. The free wifi offered by Norwegian was unfortunately unavailable during this flight however this was communicated to all passengers on board by the staff and they were apologetic for it. Having purchased food and beverages on board this particular flight, I would say that the prices charged seemed fair in comparison to what other airlines would charge.

"really enjoyed the flight"

I really enjoyed the Norwegian flight from Stockholm to Oslo. Aircraft was new, there was no delay! Also, I would like to rate their mobile app, which 100% useful. They say that they provide free WiFi onboard the flight, but the speed was awful.

"lets down the staff on plane"

Arrived back London Gatwick - late 11.30. Picked up my suitcase from baggage reclaim - it was in a terrible state - there was a hole in the cover and the side was ripped open. I took photos. Went to report this to the Norwegian desk - all desks were closed. Had a 3 hour drive home. Reported incident on line. A claim form was sent to me, I filled it in and sent all necessary documents enclosing photos to their office in Norway 24th Sept with covering letter. Sent another letter 12th Oct asking why they have not replied. Now 1st Nov still no response. Sent them an email and they claim there was no report reference and the case was closed. This is a shame because their customer service lets down the staff on the plane who were very friendly and polite. I was very impressed with the service until I encountered the terrible attitude set by their customer service department.

"food service was poor"

Very disappointed and particularly unimpressed by crew on board. Gave an attitude of not caring about passengers, unfriendly and unprofessional. On outgoing journey no apologies for late arrival or information/reassurance about what I perceived to be a difficult landing. On return journey captain could not be heard due to faulty system, steward laughed during safety announcement and did not finish. Food service was poor missing rows of people and giving attitude of 'I just want to finish my shift'. It certainly lives up to its reputation of a cheap airline.

"the worst I've flown with"

Copenhagen to Fort Lauderdale via Gatwick. Lost my luggage for 4 days, no compensation despite multiple requests. Charged extra for regular luggage check in and extra if carry on is over 10 kilos. They do measure. Luggage came to 150$ dollars both ways total. No food offered free onboard, but can be purchased ahead of flight. I tried it and neither my neighbor nor I liked it (main meal only, I didn't try any snacks). I will never again fly with them unless it's short, direct and without luggage.

"crew not visible or available"

Nightmare journey. 6.5hr delay, most of it stuck on the plane that was not fit to fly. Crew not visible or available. No means to buy food or drink and none offerd by staff until we almost landed. Very little information given apart from half an hourly text message promising we are leaving soon. No compesation offered so far (unless they thing giving us complementary hot/soft drinks covers it all). Never again!!

"staff friendly and helpful"

We are two retired ladies travelling independently to New York for a holiday. I had heard of Norwegian from a Swedish friend who uses them a lot in Europe. I booked with them as I prefer Gatwick to Heathrow airports. After booking I read some negative reviews online and was rather nervous but just want to say that everything was excellent. Departed on time, arrived early at JFK after a very comfortable flight in the modern aircraft. Actually watched a film I had wanted to see at the cinema. Cabin staff friendly and helpful. Food adequate but we had had a good meal at Weatherspoons in Gatwick before the flight. We had booked the seat, baggage and food option both ways. The best part was that they use Terminal One at JFK and when we landed it was quiet and we were through in half an hour with friendly immigration control!!!! waited longer for the yellow cab to Manhattan. The return journey was just as good and I would definitely use them again.

"not friendly or helpful"

Check in staff not friendly or helpful, I had to do everything while the staff stood there and watched. During the flight the cabin crew were arguing about who was going to push the food trolley. The service was very poor. The price was cheaper than BA or SAS but the customer service was non-existent. I would rather pay more and enjoy the good services of another carrier.

"happy to fly with them again"

Having flown with Norwegian in 2014, we were quite happy to fly with them again. Our outbound journey plane was so new the wi-fi hadn't been connected. This was not a problem. Plenty of leg room (I have extra long legs for a female). Best landing I have experienced in over 30 years. Return journey was also excellent, although the plane seemed slightly smaller. Cabin crew and pilots very informative on both journeys. Recommended.

"Very impressed with Norwegian"

Very impressed with Norwegian. Both of our flights left on time and arrived at our destinations early. Efficient boarding. All passengers enter the plane together no separate queues. New aircraft on both our flights, return flight plane was so new that wifi had not been connected but apology for this was given by pilot. Refreshment trolley brought round during the flight but duty frees were only sold to passengers who wished to purchase them if they pressed the call buttons. This meant the gangways were only blocked once during the flight. Return flight pilots had great sense of humour and came out of cockpit to say goodbye to passengers. We are travelling with Norwegian again in June 2016 and are very happy we are.
