"definitely fly them again"
Pam Baird (United Kingdom)
Edinburgh to Tenerife. Excellent flight out and back for a week's winter sunshine in Tenerife. Flight was on time on the way out and early on the way back. The outbound flight was a very new looking plane, smart interior, clean and very comfortable. The free WiFi is an amazing plus, made the time go past quickly. Cabin crew were friendly and efficient. Sadly the stock of items for sale from the food section was very limited or non existent. Must try harder on this score. On the way home the crew was slightly frosty with no welcome when embarking. However it didn't really detract from an excellent, comfortable, on time flight. Will definitely fly with them again.

"good experience overall"
John Fitzpatrick (United States)
Flew Norwegian's inaugural flight from Boston to Guadeloupe. Very good experience overall particularly at the excellent fare we paid. Aircraft was clean and comfortable, flight attendants friendly and efficient and the flight itself was smooth. We arrived within a few minutes of schedule. Will consider Norwegian in the future on routes they serve.

"lost my son's luggage"
Valerie Aubry (United States)
My two older teenagers and I loved our Norwegian flights from New York to London and from Malaga to New York via Oslo on the return trip. We visited Paris in between. The planes were new in design and comfort, the service friendly, the meals appealing, and the entertainment options at our individual seats a pleasure. We were all set to declare Norwegian our favorite airline until we discovered that they'd lost my son's luggage on our flight back from Malaga to New York via Oslo. When I checked in our luggage in Malaga I asked whether it would go straight through to New York and they assured me it would. When we did not receive the luggage in New York, we immediately filed a claim at the airport using the luggage receipt and called numerous times to inquire about the progress of their search over subsequent weeks. We followed all their procedures and mailed a detailed claim form to their office in Fornebu, Norway as they instructed us to. After four and a half months, we're still waiting. I recently heard that they would get back to us in writing soon. Here's hoping.

"one of the worst experiences"
K Logan (United Kingdom)
I flew the Norwegian flight from LGW to LAX yesterday and it was one of the worst experiences I've had flying. I have never seen a ruder cabin crew. I was in the 'premium' section, and had the audacity to ask for water twice during our 12 hour flight and both times the crew made it clear it was a massive inconvenience for them. The head attendant also got annoyed at me when I couldn't get the leg rest to work properly. Also, the 'snack' system didn't work at all so nobody could order food. When I asked at one point if I could order a snack, I was referred by the staff to the online system, which they had already announced was broken. The crew in our cabin left cups and napkins on the arm rest for the duration of the flight, and then shouted at the passengers to clean it up as th flight was more than 45 minutes delayed and they needed a quick turnaround time in LA. The tinted screen button on my window that the airline keeps promoting as an exciting feature was missing completely as it has slipped down inside the frame of the plane. It was also the coldest airplane I've been on, which I suppose makes sense when you are charging for blankets. If the price is the only thing that you care about then by all means fly with this company, however if you want any semblance of customer service I would recommend against it.

"entertainment system worked perfectly"
K Zimmerman (United States)
Used Norwegian for four flights. JFK-ARN: Flight left early, and arrived about 30 minutes early in Stockholm. Having to check-in at a ticket counter at JFK was annoying, but the line was minimal. Dreamliner plane was good, but unsure why they can't manage to have internet on transatlantic flights. Entertainment system worked perfectly, but not as many choices as expected. NY-based crew not very professional. ARN-Tromso via Oslo: OSL leg on-time. Tromso leg departed about 15 minutes late, but arrived roughly on time. Planes new and in great condition. Free wifi. Tromso-Oslo: Flight was unknowingly a continuation from Kirkenes, where it was delayed taking off. Took off two hours late. OSL-JFK: Departed 20 minutes late, but arrived on-time. Norwegian crew was very professional. I did not pay for a seat assignment on any flight, and was assigned aisle seats on each. When checking-in in person, they seemed to have latitude to give you what you want if available. On the European flights I was often toward the back of the plane where there were extra rows available, while people who paid for seats were clustered up front. Leg room tiny. I carried a 38 liter backpack on all flights with no problems. Easy online check-in via app for European flights, and got text messages updating about delays/times.

"plenty of room onboard"
Rob Marsh (United Kingdom)
I have just travelled with my family to Los Angeles to Gatwick with Norwegian. What a fantastic flight. The staff were polite, helpful and courteous at all times. The check-in was easy, sure there was a bit of a queue but no dramas. At boarding there was some extra security checks. We found there to be plenty of room onboard, even though it was pretty much full. A tonne of leg room, overhead locker room was good and the space in and around the cabin was fine. We opted for reserved seats, checked baggage and food service. This all went very well. Sure it was regular airline food, which was ok. Drinks were served with the meals which was nice. There is a snack bar which was a little expensive, but this is delivered to seat service at 40,000 ft so was not surprised. We ordered a few things which were fine. We may take a few of our own snacks the next time we fly. Finally the baggage allowance was just the job and everything arrived when it was suppose to. All in all, an excellent service at a great price.

"a hapless handling agent"
Tim Olivey (United Kingdom)
Woeful does not even cover it adequately. 1710 departure time with Norwegian was postponed until 1945 early on the day of departure but was still told to check in as normal due to the fact it might be brought forward. Tried to establish what the issue was and had three different reasons from various people at Norwegian. Three further delays and did not depart LGW for JFK until gone midnight. No uniformed staff at LGW, just a hapless handling agent who was calling the same customer number as the passengers. Extremely obnoxious and robotic call centre staff who were totally uninterested in their affected passengers and at one stage just put the phone down.

"I had to check my carry on bag"
John Gusan (United States)
Checked in at Budapest for my flight with Norwegian and all went well. Upon arriving at London-Gatwick to catch my flight to Los Angeles the gate staff told me that I had to check my carry on bag even though it was 100% legal size and weight because they did not have room onboard. They insisted I pay $42 or they wouldn't let me board. The Norwegian Air gate staff at Gatwick were nothing short of despicable. The onboard announcements every 5 minutes are worse than nails on a chalkboard.

"definitely fly again"
E Hernandez (United States)
Inaugural flight from JFK to FDF (Martinique, French West Indies) was great. Awesome fare, enthusiastic ground and flight crew and little celebratory perks made us glad we chose to discover the French West Indies on Norwegian. I would definitely fly this airline again. On arrival, there was a delay getting the jet bridge and bringing out the luggage, but no big deal. They also greeted us with local entertainment and rum punch, which made for a nice welcome.
