Have flown 12 sectors in the last 9 months, largely due to loyalty card status. However the loyalty is not
reciprocated. Check-in staff at LHR and KUL are dismissive and rude. Cabin crew view economy passengers as
an interruption to their day. They rush about the plane seeming to believe that banging into aisle passengers
is a great game. Will fly Qatar or Malaysia in future.

Colombo to Dubai in First class. Check-in at Colombo airport was super with excellent staff. The new Emirates
lounge at Colombo is a real bonus, has excellent choices of food and drink. As mentioned before, make sure
you eat before the flight. The plane was an old Airbus 330. First class was from the 1990s and it shows - so
much for upgraded planes. The food was rubbish, I even tried the business class food, that was no better.
The staff were the saving grace on this flight. On landing, parked 20 minutes from the terminal. An insult to
what was an excellent airline.

Outbound Toronto-Dubai A380. Flight departed on time. We had picked our seats in the aft business cabin as
it was relatively quiet on a previous flight. Same on this occasion despite the bar being close by. Remember
on the 380 that aisle seats give you 7 inches less legroom. Pods on 380 are not as roomy as 777 but nice
nonetheless. FA's were excellent. Cabin and washrooms spotless. ICE system worked very well although I
don't think the dual controls are necessary. The headphone jack is on the panel with the screen on the 380
which makes it a bit of a pain to extricate yourself from the seat. Flight was quite smooth and arrived early.
Same comments on return flight to Seattle on a 772-LR. FA's were excellent and flight departed on time and
arrived on time. The food quality has definitely slipped on Emirates, at least on these 2 flights. Food out of
Toronto was awful. I returned my dinner to the Steward, I had to manage with Lite Bites. Food on the Seattle
bound flight unfortunately no better. All in all very pleasant flights, great crew and planes. Hopefully next
flight, the food quality will have returned to it's previous high quality. Wines are always excellent.

CHC-SYD. Check-in at CHC was quick and friendly, lounge is in the Manila lounge which is shared with
Qantas. Because of the earthquakes the lounge is getting repaired. Food and Beverages were average in
lounge. We were welcomed by friendly cabin crew which were all smiles. Angled lie flat seat was comfortable
but thought it would be hard for a long haul. Service was excellent, this would have to been our best service
on an Emirates flight. Drink and food also excellent.

Worst seats in the world. No foot rest, narrow, hard. The pull out on the seat base meant my feet did not
touch the floor yet I am a woman 5'6". The first time I flew Emirates - Manchester to Dubai, the plane was
new and less than half full. After that reality crept in. Flight from Dubai to China was full to the brim with
people and hand luggage. The return trip to Dubai was the same. Dubai to Manchester, this time full of
people, less hand luggage! The next time I travelled with Emirates was to Durban, all legs of journey
horrendous. Dubai airport looked wonderful if you disregarded all the people sleeping on the floor.

Flight to Dubai via Singapore. Seat was broken, cramped and inflight system was in mono. Was hit with a
trolley about 5 times, with no apologies. Had to get off at Singapore for 30 minutes - instead of putting
ongoing passengers in a lounge we were made line up and go through security - just what you need after 7
hours in the air. Complained about the seat and was allocated another at the rear of the plane, bad service
continued, staff could not get their act together arguing in front of passengers. Got to Dubai where we had to
wait in line for 90 minutes.

Have just returned from annual long haul - UK to Melbourne via Dubai. Have tried most of the usual carriers
but have to say Emirates will continue to be my first choice. They compete price wise and provide a level of
service which is consistently excellent. The expansion of the fleet is great news - the A380 is simply
amazing. I just hope Emirates continues to compete on price. Singapore Airlines haven't and, although they
are good, have lost my custom on that basis. As for BA and Qantas - they could learn a lot from Emirates on
providing good service in the air.

DUR-DXB-BHX return. A330-200 generally does not have sufficient legroom as this is restricted by the box
under the seats. My seat on the first leg was very uncomfortable so sleep was almost impossible. Supper
was served very late into the evening and trays were not collected. Fortunately the 2nd leg on the 777-300
was comparatively more comfortable (although very cold) but this time I was constantly being kicked by an
undisciplined child sitting behind me, despite my protests. Flight delayed and arrived at Birmingham 1.5
hours late. It is surprising that new routes from Dubai are regularly added despite heavy congestion, flight
delays and shuttle to and from aircraft. Upgrade Dubai airport before exacerbating the situation! One meal
on each of the 2 return flights 3 weeks later are no longer served. On the last leg DXB to DUR both meal
options were spicy as was the very dry “snack” served later.

Dubai-Kuala Lumpur in business. Disappointed with Emirates last minute changes from A380 to B777-300ER.
Service and food on Business considered fair to poor. Food is pretty poor for 7 plus hours flight. Excellent
check-in at Dubai airport.

Hong Kong to Dubai on A330. Food was great. Crews stood at the back of the plane, a bit noisy yet friendly.
Dubai to Casablanca on B777. Seat was better. Food was average. Crews were very busy attending to other
things instead of collecting trays after meals. Overall experience was good.

A380 BKK-HKG-BKK in C Class, same day return. EK Skywards Silver member. I usually fly this route and
booked my flight within 12 hours of departure. Ordered my special meal, seat 22G Outbound and 10G
Inbound. Greeted on boarding. Pre-take off drinks served by attentive crew, champagne or fruit juices, shortly
after take off crew assembled my table for lunch. Meal was very delicious, drinks at the bar were copious as
were the hors d'oeuvres. Arrived early into HKG, re-boarded the same flight home with the same crew.
Greeted once again by name and a nice warm welcome back. Same attentive crew. Dinner was delicious. 45
minutes before landing in BKK, I was asked if I wanted to travel the remainder of the journey in First Class.
First class lounge area is not too big but feels very exclusive. My Suite felt very comfortable. Within 20 mins
of deplaning from the aircraft I had already passed Immigration and arrived at the car park in Suvarnabhumi.

Food standard served poor in business class, starter ok but main course came in on a plate mixed or prepared
by the crew. The taste wasn't great to start with, then you have this very poor presentation. One of the
worst, uncomfortable lounges at Dubai airport. Felt more like an airport restaurant, uncomfortable seats,
limited food selection, queue for drinks, no entertainment, poor staff services. Seat on A380 is good, private
and have your little mini bar and flat bed. But the bed is nowhere near as comfortable as on Virgin or Turkish.
On A777, its not a flat bed and rather uncomfortable to sleep in.

Emirates definitely makes First Class experiences special. Greeted by name at the lounge in Frankfurt, one of
the lounge attendants checked personally if our baggage was on the flight to Dubai. Onboard, flight
attendants spent a great deal of time chatting with passengers. The Menu was vast, especially from Dubai.
Private Suites offer great comfort and privacy, TV screens are massive. On 777-300ER, the first class lounge
is mainly not used, but on A380, many people do take this unique opportunity. The showers are amazing,
although not necessary. When arriving at Dubai airport, the chauffeur service was waiting for us, and
escorted us to check-in personally. On board, we felt well taken care of.

Myself and my new wife were flying back to get married in Feb this year from MEL-GLA, returning to MEL via
SIN. For the first flight (MEL-DXB) the plane was dated, staff unfriendly and the mechanism in my wife's TV
that keeps it at an angle was broken. Second leg (DXB-GLA), different aircraft, different seat and exactly the
same problem with the TV - staff slightly better on this flight. On our return leg (GLA-DXB, DXB-SIN) we
arrived in Dubai, got on for the Singapore leg and not only was the aircraft yet again shabby and manned by
sub standard staff, but they hadn't even cleaned it properly! Final leg (SIN-MEL) started off with a dated
aircraft and broken TV but staff were the worst out of the lot of them. I asked for a new pair of headphones 3
times prior to take off as mine were broken and was ignored on every occasion. As I said Virgin/Qantas from
now on.

A330 Dublin to Dubai. On approach to Dubai a weather related issue meant a diversion. Ours was the only
one diverted to Ras Al Khaimah. We were left on the aircraft for another 10 hours. Bread and water was
offered, air conditioning broke down and toilet facilities restricted. Eventually arrived in Dubai 21.5 hours
after we left Dublin. On arrival we had to queue for 5 hours while they sorted out flights. Only offered a meal
voucher (drink and a pizza) at 16.00 - not offered breakfast or lunch. The extraordinary circumstances
surrounding our flight were avoidable. As we had already initiated our journey, the purpose of our original
travel plan to holiday in Sri Lanka was no longer attainable and we returned to Dublin on the next available
flight arriving 77 hours after we left.

MEL-SIN on 777-300ER. Flight was great, crew friendly and helpful and the food was pretty good for economy.
The only let down was the seats. The seats aren't the most comfortable and the cabin felt a little squashed
with 10 seats in a row.
