Have flown twice between TLV and JFK. First flight in business class. Seats do not recline 180° and definitely do not recline enough to have a good night sleep. Second flight on something called premium economy. Seats are just a few inches larger then regular seats. On both flights airplane was a very old 747 and on both flights food and service were very poor. Avoid these old planes from Delta.

Currently stuck in Quito departure lounge - waiting for Delta flight that has been delayed. Been here 2.5 hrs, no access to food or drink as all stores closed. Could be another hour and a half. We have to hand over our boarding pass just to leave to go to washroom! Will miss connection - they tried to tell me my connection would be fine, until I pointed out we arrive after it departs. Check in lines were long and slow. This is first Delta flight and will be last. The airline, service and overall helpfulness of staff is quite poor.

AMS-SEA-AMS with an A330 out and B747 inbound. A330 was pretty OK, I was upgraded to business, so no complaints. Staff were also OK in business. On the way back it was a worn B747, no personal entertainment, the worst ever airline-food I've seen. I will avoid flying Delta trans-atlantic whenever possible.

CLT-ATL-LAX. Check in staff at CLT were rude and unhelpful, considering I had a broken arm they couldn't have been worse. Flight, however, was excellent and crew were constantly trying to serve us throughout. Seats were ok but very hard and a bit lumpy. I wouldn't recommend the business class seats for the MD-80 but with the lounge, service on board and priority lanes it was starting to feel worthwhile. ATL-LAX was faultless, I was lucky to get the international plane instead of a domestic but the crew were fabulous even if they were on a domestic flight. Seat herringbone but was comfortable. Crew at check in need a lesson in how to treat passengers with respect.

Checking in at JFK was relatively painless and security was okay, but I was taken by surprise by the lack of a personal TV on the plane to Prague. Delta is one of the few that operate JFK-PRG direct, so I took the opportunity, you can imagine how I felt getting on the plane and knowing that for 7 hours I'm staring at the back of a chair. Luckily for me, it was a night flight, and I was tired anyway. For the return flight I was prepared. Overall, the flights were okay and for the most part on time, except that on the way to Prague, we were on the tarmac for an extra hour. Next time, I would fly to Prague by connecting through another airline.

JFK-PHX. New Delta terminal 4 at JFK is bright. Trouble with children's names due to Delta computer system messing them up. Were sent back to Delta counter by TSA, but it was settled after all. Caused some stress though. Flight ok. Snacks and drinks complementary, but paid for extras like wifi, which worked very well. Landed half an hour ahead of schedule in Phoenix. Paid 130 dollar so can't complain.

I booked 3 flights from LaGuardia in NYC to Traverse City, MI in Feb 2012 for travel in July 2012. My husband was booked on a flight leaving two days after my daughter and I, but we were booked on the same flight home. I called to ensure that our 3 seats were together for the return flight. This was confirmed by a Delta representative. Nevertheless, Delta changed my husband's outbound flight and also changed his return flight seat so we were no longer seated together. I spoke to a supervisor but only got an apology and nothing more. Delta proceeded to lose my luggage on my outbound flight, gave me misinformation five different times regarding the location of my luggage and didn't deliver until the next day. The last straw was when hours before the departure time of my husband's flight, we got a call that his flight was cancelled. They did nothing to get him on another flight the same day. I had specifically booked a direct flight and they gave him an outbound flight the following day that was not direct and had a three hour layover. This was the absolute worst airline customer service I have experienced in over twenty years of flying.

Flew BOM-AMS on a 22 year old B763 aircraft which was codeshared with KLM. Very unprofessional Delta security staff at BOM airport who demanded residence permit/visa for NL in spite being a British citizen. They appeared very concerned for the fare paid and considered to cheap a fare to fly with DL! Chaotic, slow boarding and several multiple security checks including an explosive check of hands was conducted by Delta security agents just before boarding the aircraft. Terrible dinner consisting of mini banana, cup cake, crisps, etc. served on a disposable plastic tray. Old aircraft with no IFE display, no foot rest, and very cold air blowing from overhead AC slots. Never fly out of Bombay by DL if you don't have to as you will be dealing with hyper-paranoid security checks and flying with one of the most antiquated airlines.

Flying with my family from NYC JFK to Toronto, Canada, we were diverted to Rochester due to bad weather in Toronto. Our flight landed in Rochester with the announcement by the captain that we would refuel and fly on to Toronto. After landing, the music changed and we were told that our flight to Toronto was cancelled. The only thing that was given to us was a hotel room to stay in. If we did not ask for meal vouchers we would not have given one. Only one voucher was given to my family of 3. The worse thing is that Delta Airlines did not bother to book us on the next available flight. I had to rebook our flight for the next day to Toronto. Delta should have at least booked us automatically on the next available flight.

BUF-DTW-MIA. Our first leg of the trip was delayed by 2 hours, even the flight after ours to Detroit had already left. No reasons given to why the flight had been delayed. Once we finally arrived in Detroit, our flight had left without us. We had to wait 5 hours until the next Delta flight, once it got to the runway to take off, the pilot announced the plane had to go back because of a problem. Again, no reason given. We finally took off after 1.5 hours and arrived in Miami. We had originally received Business Class seats that were now unavailable for the next Miami flight and only received a $50 food voucher as an apology. Never going to fly Delta again.

Flew from Melbourne to Vancouver Canada Via LAX. Sydney to LAX sector - plane in pretty poor condition, seat entertainment didn't work (very poor for a 14 hour flight), most staff inattentive with no real concern for passengers. Water and snacks not served frequently. Our family didn't sit together for entire journey. The return with Virgin Australia excellent.

Economy class to Boston from Heathrow with Delta (the first time with Delta) on 21st July. A little bit concerned having read some reviews that were not too good. We should not have worried. The flight was very good, the staff were courteous, friendly and efficient - all in all a very good flight. On our return journey on the 5th July we were fortunate to be upgraded to business class. I only wish we could afford to travel business every trip. However economy was good too.

This is not the first time I have sworn I wouldn't fly Delta again. This time I mean it. I flew from Asheville to LAX. First flight delayed 3 hours. We took off, but had to do an emergency landing because of broken landing gear. We waited in line for two hours upon arriving back in Asheville to book another ticket. I was scheduled the next morning but that flight left 2.5 hours late. I almost missed my connection and when I got on the plane they told me to get off because they didn't have a seat for me. It took 22 hours to get home. When I called Delta, they said they could do nothing except offer me a $100 voucher.

We were recently on a flight from JFK to Shannon in Business First Class seats. The seats were quite comfortable except that the foot rest could come up a little higher. The food was excellent and we were given the seats that were confirmed with the ticket purchase. The pillows and quilts made for a very comfy sleep as it was a night flight. The service was good as well. Shannon is a dream airport as we had the terminal to ourselves.

LAX-NRT-SIN (BizElite). As a Diamond Medallion member - Delta's top status - I received a call from the Diamond Desk informing me flight was delayed two hours. Mostly, NRT-SIN flight would not be held for us. I was offered a hotel in Narita for the night or direct connection on Singapore Airlines from Tokyo. Staff seem to be directed to pay special attention to elite flyers (eg, options due to irregular operations, personal phone calls, etc). That said, I can appreciate all the negative reviews from non-Medallion passengers. The older, reconfigured 747-400 was fairly comfortable, but not as nice as the 777. Crew, AVOD and meals were all of a very good standard. The Singapore Airlines flight was excellent.

Had a few problems but were all resolved quickly. Staff friendly, seats comfortable, good food and all arrived in good time! No bags lost or damaged. The in-flight entertainment was fantastic, seats were comfortable and I flew from London Heathrow - Atlanta - Cleveland and vice versa so that was needed! Would gladly fly with them again.

My family's recent flight with Delta from Sydney to LAX was substandard in every respect. Some of the deficiencies which come to mind are these. Cabin staff were disengaged and disinterested. Inflight entertainment did not work in our seats. Cabin staff then claimed our malfunctioning system could not be turned off so the screens flashed constantly in our faces for the entire flight as our system continually tried to reboot itself. Our seats did not recline because they had been built too close to the bulkhead behind them. Bathrooms were dirty. There were inadequate controls over cabin baggage and many passengers were allowed to bring on cabin luggage which was significantly oversized - hence, overhead storage was not available to many of the passengers who did not board early. Even the basic task of check in was mishandled. I was addressed by the wrong name and told firstly there was no record of my family's booking then told we might be on another flight or "are you standby passengers". Our experience was not unusual - other passengers expressed similar concerns. Subsequent flights with Delta were much the same. These are not the standards of care and competence which one expects from an international airline conducting long haul flights.

Lied about my baggage allowance on the phone and then charged me extra at the airport. No individual screens even in economy plus for a flight from Los Angeles to Sydney Australia. Toilets dirty and not kept stocked (again even in premium economy). Very uncomfortable seats and service not great (though when asked to do so, attendants did provide assistance). Overall a very depressing experience. This airline should not be part of Star alliance as it does not provide similar benefits to nor have the same quality of service as other major airlines that are part of this network.

NRT-SIN-NRT in "Economy Comfort" (Premium Economy). As a gold status flier, I get treated very well on Delta. Late to the airport due to a traffic accident, got checked in and through the elite security and to the gate in plenty of time for boarding. Their priority treatment makes checking in a breeze, as it was on the return from Singapore. Access to the lounge is also a great perk. Onboard, the seat is basic in width, but you do have extra legroom. AVOD selections were excellent, especially on the newer 777-200LR on the return. The special meal service of Asian vegetarian was excellent on both legs, though small in portion. The flight attendants adequate, but not overly friendly. A few extra trips with water during the flight would have been appreciated. My only complaint that Delta has never addressed properly are the dirty toilets. All in all, a good flight, convenient, non-eventful and comfortable, even though I wasn't in business class.

On the flight from Detroit to Buffalo they were waiting for a crew to show up - 45 minute delay. From Detroit to Nashville the flight was two hours late leaving and I understand it was a crew issue as well. Also the Detroit to Buffalo desk person did not give the passengers any information so we just sat around wondering what was going on.

Flew from LIT-ATL-MAD and BCN-ATL-LIT. Flight to Atlanta delayed 2 hours, flight to Madrid was oversold and had shorter delay. Seat didn't recline so I couldn't sleep at all on the 7 hour overnight flight to Madrid. Entertainment system was good though. BCN-ATL delayed due to the entertainment screens not working, they were "fixed" mid-air but they didn't quite work correctly and was much harder to use than the screens on the 767 (this was an A330). I found the passengers to be extremely loud and rude but flight attendants did nothing. Otherwise their service was great and food excellent. Just too many delays.

Basic non-stop from Narita to JFK July 5, 2012. Overall, nothing to get excited about, but nothing too horrible either. Flight attendants were unusually short-tempered and curt when they weren't simply gossiping among themselves, which really brought the whole level down a notch. Basically it was a smile-free zone for 15 hours, and that's putting it mildly. In-flilght entertainment was fine.

LAX to JFK economy class. Flight delayed 1.5 hours, however refreshments and snacks provided at the gate which was well received. Onboard, complimentary soft drinks, tea and coffee were served. A reasonable selection of food, snacks and alcoholic beverages were available for purchase. I had three mini chicken sandwiches for $8.50 - quite tasty. Overall, flight attendants were professional although could do with a bit more friendliness.

Flew LAX-LAS, LAS-LAX. Operated by Southwest Airlines these flights provided a basic service. Because of duration of flight, no food or beverages served. Didn't find the type of aircraft appealing; stood up and head touched roof. Flight attendants basically don't have much of a role on these flights as there are no beverages served. Planes clean both legs.

Boston-Amsterdam on flight KL 6054 /DL 0604 with Delta. Staff were very good both at the airport and on board but my seat was horrible! Freezing cold air was blowing straight onto my forehead. I was so cold I had to go complain twice to no avail. The steward came and said it was only on my side of the plane but there was little he could do other than give me another blanket. I will never board another Delta without plenty of warm clothing, even in July!

Flew Delta from JFK to CDG on a codeshare with Air France. Our flight over was Delta and it was a nightmare. Everything was fine until we were about to take off and they announced they "couldn't find" a computer cord that has nothing to do with the functions of the airplane other than recording data "in the case of a crash". They tried to find it, had other crew members come over to bring it, none of the cords worked, and after three and a half hours on the runway, they eventually cancelled our flight. Delta had a very "not our problem" attitude about the flight cancellation.

Overbooked, oversold, bumped, we had to pay $50 apiece extra to get re-routed. We spent 19 hours in three airports on standby with no assigned seating, scared we would be lost in limbo. We were only 56 minutes early, and therefore 'late' and I was angered at the hour we waited for the desk to fix our new tickets. Finally we joked that they were playing a video game back there, and they laughed and said they were using a 25 year old computer system. At the boarding gate, the defensive clerk repeatedly asked people to voluntarily give up their seats for a $400 voucher as they were overbooked. Delta loves to fly with no empty seats and lots of angry customers on the ground. Shame on them!

DFW-JFK-FCO wasn't bad, but the trip back was a total embarrassment to Delta. Venice-JFK-DFW is a joke. 2.5 delay in Venice, missed connection from JFK-DFW. Told us baggage conveyer broke and we would have to wait for the bags still on conveyer - 45 minutes later said there were no more bags and to go to claim centre - 30 minutes later bags came down belt but we had already left and could not go back up to get them. 30 minutes told they would take us up one by one but then screened and searched every bag (50 or more) took forever-then sent back up to reschedule flight 2hr wait in line. Now we have to go next day from JFK-ATL- DFW first flight out delayed got to ATL now DFW delayed twice total of 2 hours-needless to say I'm still in ATL.

All 3 of my flights were delayed. The last flight from JFK to Toronto was delayed because of 'weather' (beautiful weather outside and the flight was sitting at the gate, not delayed from where it was coming from), because first officer was an hour late and plane experienced power shutdown. They evacuated us while they fixed the power, then let us back on, then we sat and waited again for first officer to show up. When we landed, they had to evacuate us quickly again because of smoke coming from the back of the plane. All three flights were delayed due to 'weather' as the Delta customer service agents always say. The last flight from JFK to Toronto was scheduled to leave at 9.05. We got off our connecting flight, ran to the gate, and lo and behold, the time was changed to 10.18. No notification of delay, no announcements, just quietly changed the time on a screen and didn't notify people about it. Then the time changed from 10.18 to 9.35. Then again from 9.35 to 9.45. It was 10.45 by the time we took off. When I complained to the Delta rep, she was initially very rude to me, but later on in the night gave me a $50 credit towards a future Delta flight. Delta has no toll-free number for customer complaints. What a terrible airline. Don't fly Delta - terrible employees, terrible planes, terrible scheduling.

Flight from LHR-JFK delayed, on way back wasn't allowed to check in even though it was still under the 60 minute check in time. Never flying Delta again, pay more and travel with a reputable airline.

Flight cancelled, and since I don't have a cell phone that works outside US, I was left sitting in the waiting area. I just happened to overhear others who were notified. I was auto re-booked on a flight leaving 10 hours later with another 2.5 layover at an intermediate stop. I had turned in my foreign currency. No offer of a comfortable place to sit or offer to help with lunch or dinner.

I am a US citizen and a resident of Atlanta GA which is home of one of the busiest airports in the world. I fly Delta on a weekly basis as it is the only international carrier in Atlanta with the most non stop flights in the area (Southwest-Airtran do not fly internationally). After flying Delta for over 4 years on a weekly basis I find it grossly inadequate. All of the flights are full and mostly uncomfortable. The airplanes are not cleaned properly and often smell horrible. The flight attendants are cordial and some are even 'nice' but the Delta experience is horrible. As a medallion member (only Gold) even though I fly weekly the perks that are supposed to be offered are not worth it. They nickle and dime you for everything and offer nothing in return with the exception of high prices, uncomfortable seating and mediocre customer service. If I had another alternative I would definitely use it. I would not recommend Delta airlines to anyone. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend any of the US airlines to others. Sad but true.

Our family were on a flight from Orlando which was delayed to Atlanta. We landed and the crew asked for persons on a connecting flight to get off first. We were at the back of the plane and when we got to the front of the plane all we saw was empty seats. We asked an Airport assistant for a wheelchair for my handicapped Son to use as we dashed across the Atlanta Airport. She phoned ahead, but when we got to the gate it was closed, however, the airplane was still attached to airport services and the gate shut 35 minutes before it should have closed. We arrived home two and a half days later via Brussels.

RDU-ATL-CHA return. Outbound legs in first class (Medallion upgrade) and return legs in economy. RDU-ATL legs were mainline Delta flights, while ATL-CHA legs were Delta Connection flights. The overall experience was fine and functional. All four legs departed and arrived on time, and the in-flight service was acceptable, though nothing to write home about. The only negative was that the gate agents handling both return legs (CHA-ATL and ATL-RDU) didn't really seem to know the boarding procedures and caused all sorts of problems regarding handling upgrades, boarding by zone, getting people on the plane in an orderly manner, etc. It really seemed like the agents never had handled a flight before and were making it up as they went.

I am a frequent traveler and my recent flight with Delta was a nightmare. I missed my connecting flight apparently due to weather but that's unlikely as other member of my group travelled on other airlines at the same time and had no delays. While other passengers on the same flight were accommodated with hotel and food vouchers, I was treated completely irrelevant and given no reason. The customer service reps were completely unprofessional and rude. I complained and received a modest voucher for future travels which I will definitely not be using.

The entry experience (bag drop and security) of Delta at JFK was the worst ever in any airport with any airline in 45 years of flying and approximately 300 departures total. Total confusion, absurd level of disorganization, absolute lack of signage, grossly inadequate and poorly trained staff giving inconsistent instructions, absence of air conditioning, obscenely long wait for passengers to be screened one by one at the single security station. The airplane was relatively comfortable but the cabin crew was at best barely polite and at worst surly.

LAX-DTW-YUL-MSP-LAX. Outbound in coach return in first. All in all good flights. Red eye outbound was completely full but comfortable in the exit row. Slept for the entire flight so cant comment on it but given that I was able to sleep it must have been good. Sky club in DTW is fantastic, large spacious with good food. Short flight to YUL was comfortable in exit row, and I slept for the entire flight. Bag was waiting for me in YUL after clearing immigration. Return flight to LAX via MSP was great, the EMB 175 first class was comfortable with a great dine provided. Sky club in MSP was somewhat weak with no shower facilities and the late night flight to LAX didn't offer any food except candy and nuts from a basket. They should have offered a light meal. Overall, in either cabin consistent, friendly service.

Flight: In last month. Logged on to find seats allocated in different rows and ended up paying extra for so called comfort seats in order to sit together. Have never been on a long haul flight that didn't have in seat TV and struggled to see screen from where I was sitting so gave up on movie. Food was dire, chicken ran out quite quickly and we were left with a disgusting pasta dish. Most uncomfortable seats, I would not fly Delta again.

I would highly recommend that if you fly Delta internationally, check who they partner with. They do not stand behind their baggage policy if their partnering airlines make unreasonable charges. Their comment is "too bad-not our problem." Due to computer issues for a confirmed flight change, I also had to get boarding passes at each leg of the return trip and almost did not get on one of them.

Worst customer service in flight and over the phone I have ever had. Return flight from JFK to LAX was horrible. Something wrong with the window, ice forming on the inside is not normal. I had 2 jackets and a pillow wedged between me and the window and it was still too cold to sit there, had to stand part of the way back. On the flight from LAX to JFK, there was no headrest, just a hard plastic back with 2 rivets, I asked for a pillow 3 times before they brought me one.

Flew BDL-ATL-FLL. Ex-BDL the Redcoat working the gate sought me out and changed my seat for additional comfort. Changed to an earlier flight in ATL, first agent contacted made sure I was on seat list, then took initiative to transfer my bag so it traveled with me. Departing gate agent kept standbys (me) informed of flight status and when the time came managed to upgrade me to get me onto the trip. Able to see if my bag made the flight using Delta mobile app on smartphone. Service at all times, and from all agents, was truly professional and proactive, with a sense of everyone anticipating what needed to be done and getting it done for the customer. Delta's grasp and use of technology also helps and is impressive from the do-it-yourself standpoint. I hope this was not a one-off experience but is what Delta has turned into a four-star airline!

I'm a Medallion member with Delta and have been for quite some time; very professional, quite efficient, always reliable. With their phone app I receive updates in a timely manner be it weather delays, gate changes, whatever. With just one exception I've received professional treatment at check in - with the cell phone check in/boarding pass app I often avoid the standing in line routine, etc. since; food options remain a little disappointing on their shorter routes but I don't fly to have dinner; plan on flying with them again for the foreseeable future.

After researching the website I was under the impression that the intercontinental planes all were equipped with modern entertainment systems. So I was disappointed to discover that the plane was equipped with the very old fashioned overhead monitors and no power plugs. Very disappointing indeed. On intercontinental flights in 2012 you should make a great effort of telling your potential customers that the plane flying this route is equipped with the very old fashioned entertainment system. The food is horrible, I recommend that they send one of your Food executives on a research journey with Virgin Atlantic, after all they do provide better food, modern entertainment and newer seats for the same price. On the positive side, I found that the option to upgrade to economy comfort is very reasonable priced and it makes the plane ride much more comfortable, and I could tell that the pilots made an effort to “drive” the plane so that it was as smooth a flight as possible.

LHR to JFK and return, flights satisfactory with generally good staff. The flights were delayed both ways by about 30 mins but no major dramas. IFE excellent - I could see it clearly and hear it and it was working which is quite unusual in my experience with airlines. The food was poor. The presentation and quality even for economy was dire. Seating outwards was excellent as we pre-booked the door seats, however the return was very cramped but nothing more than I've experienced elsewhere. I'd fly Delta again.

Flew business class on one of Delta's recently modified 747s. DL wasted its money on new seats. They're lie flat coffins. They should invest in their $s in new energy efficient planes rather than interior modifications of 20+ year old dinosaurs.

LHR-DTW. Original non-stop flight cancelled, when we went to the service desk, the employee merely told us we had been rebooked on a flight the following morning. No offer of any additional information or options. Two other Delta employees stood idly by, not attempting to assist in any way to speed the process along. We were booked on a flight connecting through JFK, and it was at JFK the real nightmare began. We were told we would have to change terminals and were directed to the transfer area where employees seemed confused. Not only could they not tell us with which terminal we should transfer to, they did not seem to know which shuttle went to which terminal. Another employee then began to circulate around the waiting area distributing luggage tags (the plane was so small that most carry-on luggage would have to be stowed underneath rather than carried into the cabin). Boarding consisted of being herded like cattle onto a cramped shuttle and then subjected to more rude treatment at the plane. All in all every single employee were incompetent, rude or both.

My flight from Raleigh was delayed and I had a connecting flight from Memphis to my final destination (San Francisco). During the flight from Raleigh to Memphis, it was announced that Delta team at Memphis will make necessary efforts to make sure that we get the flight to San Francisco. Our Flight landed at 7.21 pm and the Flight to San Francisco was supposed to depart at 7.30 pm. I reached the gate at 7.28 pm, but it was closed. It took almost an hour to get the re-booking for next day and vouchers for hotel and then it took another hour to reach the hotel after waiting for the hotel shuttle to arrive. I was not the only one who missed connection, there were at least 50 people who missed their connections to various cities. It was a horrible experience. Delta has the worst Frequent flyer program, worst inflight entertainment and worst inflight food purchase choices.

ATL-IAD. A codeshare flight at the end of an Air France transatlantic trip. Delta very quickly dealt with some seating issues on the full 737, and after a 20 min delay due to hydraulics queries we were off. Short 2hr flight, but clean and tidy aircraft with rather hard leather seats at a somewhat close pitch. No facilities on this flight except for drinks for sale. Just like an airborne bus service really!

It took me 2 full days to go from Orlando to San Jose. Mechanical problems occurred in 2 out of 3 planes. I paid full fare for first class but had to accept coach. The flight I ran to make because of the one that was late I missed because it left 10 minutes early and the gate person grinned when she told me it was closed and I would have to wait 5 hours for the next flight.

I have flown Delta over 20 times because they have the most convenient flight to my school. I have never had a flight leave on time, I have never not had some problem and I have never been satisfied with their service. The most common emotion I feel when flying Delta is pity for their employees who must helplessly deal with angry customers who have every right to be angry.

My top complaint is lack of maintenance of inflight bathrooms. The Airline should assign their flight attendants bathroom duties if the flight is longer than 3 hours. The bathrooms get horrible during international flights! Imagine a plane full of economy passengers taking turns to go to 4 bathrooms on an 8 or 9-hour flight. Yet I have to pay for a second checked bag. I pay extra for so-called "comfort seat" which is still cramped. Now I hear I may have to pay more to get an aisle or window seat. I suggest that Delta start a Pay-When-You-Use-Bathroom that the flight attendants will maintain and clean during the entire flight.

SCE-DTW. A clean, CRJ-100. FA really friendly, arrived 15 minutes early. DTW-PEK. Boarding was hassle-free. Aircraft a new 777-200. FA 's were helpful and polite. Seats were very comfortable, although the food could improve a bit. Restrooms were pretty clean and fresh. IFE was great, with a lot of movies and great music. Cabin was also very tidy. SYD-DTW with a stopover at LAX. A 14 hour transpacific flight is never fun but having flown this route regularly with several different airlines I can say that Delta was easily the best. The seats were surprisingly comfortable, the entertainment was superb, the flights left on time and arrived on time and the food was very good especially for a US carrier. Flight attendants were polite, professional and attentive. There were multiple drinks runs and walks through the cabin with water and the food trays were collected quickly. Very impressed with the experience.

RDU-JFK-MXP return in economy class. RDU-JFK legs on this trip were Delta Connection flights flown on CRJ- 200s, and both legs were standard, no-frills regional flights. JFK-MXP legs were mainline Delta flights flown on 767-400s, both of which had interiors that were fraying around the edges. These legs were functional. Seating was tight in economy, and the personal video unit was temperamental. The inflight service was efficient but hardly personable, and the food was nondescript. All flights left on time, and both international flights arrived fairly early. Overall, I would fly this routing again, as the scheduling is very convenient, but I think the price was a bit high relative to the services offered.

London to Detroit. It wasn't until 1am that my husband found out that they had bumped myself and my 6' tall daughter off the flight. Eventually we were put back on the original flight, which was 9am. Not until we arrived at the airport did we learn they had put us in regular economy. We had paid for economy plus. My daughter had a car accident last year and had fractured hips. The supervisor couldn't have cared less. He told us they had resold our tickets and there was nothing he could do. I will never fly with them again.

LHR-JFK-CMH-JFK-LHR. Slight delay at CMH because of bad weather n NY. I only had 60 minutes to connect to my LHR flight, and when I expressed my concern, the lady at the Delta boarding gate arranged a ticket on a later flight in case I missed the connection. Very kind. I managed to catch my London flight, but we had to sit in plane for 1.5 hours because of bad weather. We were given continual information. I upgraded to premium economy, and had a comfortable seat. As airplane food goes, the food onboard was fine! From LHR I had 'priority boarding' and my case was waiting for me on arrival. Didn't happen on the return journey though. You get what you pay or - and Delta is a good, economic way of travelling.

My flight out of JFK was cancelled along with a number of other flights. No information was provided to passengers, who had to wait in line for 90 minutes to speak to a service agent. As the cancellations were due to "weather conditions", Delta offered nothing in terms of food, drinks, hotel, transportation, or cared about the fact that I would miss another flight out of St. Louis. At first the airline re-booked me on a flight the next morning, with a layover in Atlanta, but the condescending customer "service" agent finally got me on a direct flight out of LGA. I wish the airline industry here was regulated like in the European Union, when customers are offered assistance and compensation instead of a verbal slap in the face.

I flew from Buffalo to Detroit and then to Phoenix. My returning flight was from Phoenix to Atlanta and then to Buffalo. All flights were on-time. Seating and take-off was prompt and efficient. Flight staff were courteous and helpful. The short flight from Buffalo to Detroit was uncomfortable with very little leg room and air that was blowing from the floor which froze my feet, but it didn't last very long. The monitors on the flight from Phoenix to Atlanta did not work but it was an 11.30pm flight so no one was truly interested in watching a film, at least I wasn't. No delays and safe take-offs and landings is all I asked for and I got it.

JFK-SJU return on 737 fraudulently marked as "Businesselite", actual regular domestic first class. Horrible experience from booking to inflight. JFK terminal 4 is a real nightmare with the longest lines ever, angry workers, only one security line open for about 50 departing flights. Old smelly 737 has not been cleaned properly in years. The standard first class seat is small, overhead TV monitors are out of order, flight attendant are unprofessional and disaffected. This is not an adequate airline any longer.

Flew MSP to Boston May 2. Flight delayed 6 hours because of a mechanical problem. We were loaded on the plane even though there was a problem! Sat 1.5 hours onboard, then off loaded and told us the problem would be fixed in 30 minutes. Same announcement every 30 minutes. We finally arrived in Boston at 11 pm, having missed our connection to London. Husband received 2500 skymiles for inconvenience on May 23, but I did not. Rude crew. Cramped, uncomfortable seats. No food on flight except peanuts, pretzels, and cookies. No attempt to rectify situation at airport, and of course no hotel coupon.

LHR-ATL-MSY return. Paid for economy comfort. Priority boarding is a plus as lots of people seemed to have overly large cabin baggage and were simply filling up other peoples allocated space in a very selfish way. Having checked in online the process was very quick. Normal check-in line was very long. Delta had already changed my itinerary from flying via Detroit to Atlanta with a much tighter connection. When we left LHR 1.5 hours late this became very tight. We were lucky the internal flight was delayed as customs was very slow. Seat pitch was ok, AVOD at my seat didn't work and the food was ghastly. Internal flight on MD90 was quite comfortable as was the return on the MD88. Final leg ATL-LHR also delayed 1.5 hours due to problems with "paperwork".

SYD-LAX. Check-in took all of 5 minutes. Was quite impressed with the new BizElite seat - which came with 2 large pillows and a very decent comforter - although the herringbone configuration can leave you facing towards other passengers. AVOD offered hundreds of entertainment choices on demand. Catering - meals were tasty and plentiful. Most surprising was the very attentive and friendly onboard service. Delta has certainly stepped up its game on this particular route.

LAS-MEM-(JFK)-AMS. 2 hours delay LAS-MEM (toilet flushing system did not work), 8 hours delay MEM-AMS. Extra Stop in JFK for change of aircraft, because important systems in the 767 were not fixable - about 5 hours waiting onboard, 5 extra hours at gate again. Either you have to pay for most of the entertainment system (7373-800) or there is no individual system (767). Cabin was full of luggage, because people want to save money for checking baggage. No, I will not fly Delta again. And I will check out KLM flights to US carefully before booking, because booking KLM can mean flying Delta.

Flew economy comfort JFK-IST. Leg room was good, service was terrible and rude and the food was simply horrible. The increased pitch is all you get for the extra money other than quicker boarding, as service is so poor you will not get the promised free cocktails unless you flag down the FA. (If you see one that is). I have never experienced as rude a FA crew as with this flight.
