Boston Logan Airport

We connected through Logan from BWI to Dublin and on the return. No problems but it is odd that when changing terminals you have to leave the secure area and go through security again. That said the airport is clean has a great wine bar and a good number of food choices. There was a long security line on the return leg but it moved quickly.

Have used this airport multiple times in the last few months and think its definitely one of the easiest to use airports in the United States. Other than the really long lines for security checks there isn't much wrong with the place. Much cleaner and brighter than most of the older airports better connected to the city (free bus service on arrival!) and tons of food options.

We flew through Boston Logan en-route to Toronto. By far the friendliest staff we have ever encountered and very helpful. Never before had a customs agent greet us by name and inquire about our holiday. Excellent meal at the airport as well.

I used Logan Airport every year when I return back to Boston from Vacation. I fly a direct flight from ZRH- BOS. The forms you get at the airport are sometimes very frustrating. The Immigration Services Employees are indeed quite sarcastic and rough. But the Baggage came quite fast and quick. The return to Switzerland was quite bumpy. The security screening took ages and we were standing in line which filled a part of the terminal. Airside was also quite basic with not much to do. A big plus point is the view from the terminal. You can see traffic outside and the boats sailing and cruising next to the airport. That helped to forget to be angry at the poor WIFI connection.

Landside was fine. Used the water taxi service from Rowe's Wharf to the Transportation Dock and then the courtesy airport bus to Terminal E which was fine. Check-in Immigration and Security was polite friendly and efficient. However the paucity of drink/food outlets air-side was dire. Other than the excellent "Vino Volo" there was a sandwich place and a Sbarro's. No other sit-down drinking/eating facility.

Flew into BOS on JetBlue. Surprised at how much better the airport has become in the last few months. The airport always seems to be working at becoming a better airport which is good but that means a lot of construction. The airport was quick and easy except for the rental car place. It was a long bus ride but the hard part was getting out of the parking lot. Other than that Boston is proving to be a wonderful airport that I hope to fly into and out of again.

We live near Boston and fly in and out of it frequently on a combination of national and international flights. All the negative reactions do not reflect our experience. We particularly like the speed with which we can clear immigration and customs. Transportation to the "T" (subway) is efficient. International departures can be busy and the lines not well observed at times. We have always found the people helpful and friendly.

Worst airport - bring hiking shoes for long walks between terminals bring patience for slow security scanners bring a GPS to compensate for poor information signs and monitors bring earplugs for screaming security personnel (that's everywhere in domestic airports these days).

Flew BDA-BOS-DTW with a 3 hour layover in BOS. For a major airport facilities very basic. Eating places limited to a couple of fast-food places and restaurants with very very limited menus. Other than that airport was clean and staff were okay.

Boston Logan basically has the facilities services and operations of a regional airport whilst serving a major metropolitan area. Good attributes include the airport's proximity to the city the array of kiosks the ease of walking around and finding your way and quite good eating options. All that aside this airport is gruelling and disturbingly bad. The shopping experience is sub-par the airport is dirty restrooms are hard to find and the selection of destinations/flights is actually quite poor. These are nothing compared to the staff. Whether it the sarcastic rude customs officers disgruntled employees who will not want to help you. Overall a pretty disappointing airport.
