Boston Logan Airport

Departed from Boston on Southwest to Baltimore. Check in area was empty but it looked inadequate for a peak time departures. Southwest use the E pier which seems to be isolated from other parts of the airport. Efficient TSA checks with friendly staff and good banter. The waiting area itself was somewhat dismal with little seating and few options for food: Dunkin Donuts and another bar. Otherwise other facilities were well maintained and clean.

I travel through Logan every couple of months for business. I get very frustrated with the repeated extensive waiting time to get through security. It's been 3hours + on several occasions. I will move business activities away from Boston at the first opportunity.

I am a 23 year-old girl. I use this airport 2 to 3 times per year. I absolutely hate having to use this airport. Every time I come here the TSA agents give me such a hard time. I wear knee braces due to health issues and I have to wear special orthotics in my shoes. Every time they have to metal detect them rub them each with a pad pat them down and they've even made me take them off and send them through the x-ray machine. This time they made me take my shoes off and stand on the cement with no support for 10 minutes. When I tried to explain that I was in a lot of pain and needed to sit if they were going to take my braces and shoes but before I could even explain anything the TSA agent glared at me and said "No". This airport is terrible when it comes to customer service long waits and handling people with disabilities.

I have been flying weekly for the past 20 years. Logan Airport is the worst airport I've used. The Airport ramp from 93 is constantly being closed in the morning forcing the traveling public to weave through side streets to South Boston where detours are never posted the TSA Screeners are among the rudest dehumanizing persons the lines at security are long and disorganized the parking is expensive and limited. Add to that Airline terminals especially recent ones are not well marked on signs.

Arrived from Tampa en route to Glasgow via Keflavik. No signage from domestic to international. Walked outside for 10 minutes and found international. Then had most obnoxious security I have had anywhere including Asia and Eastern Europe. Hopefully will not transit through Logan again.

I hate Logan Airport but we had to take it for this last trip. It's one of the worst airports I have ever been in. Traffic logistics crowd management security lines everything cramped and insane. All bad. Whenever we can we travel out of Manchester HY Providence RI or even Hartford CT - anything to not have to go in to Logan. It's a nightmare just trying to get there but when you do finally arrive it makes the hellish drive in seem like a walk down the yellow brick road.

Experiences can vary here as wait lines can be long depending on the time of the year. Personally I've never had any real issues here though know people who have. There are some decent amenities to keep you busy and plenty of bars/restaurants in all terminals I believe. Flown domestic and international to and from this airport.

BOS-FCO Terminal E 29 July 2013. Check in was very fast. Security at the airport only took around 5-10 minutes. The departures level at Logan is very nice. There are many food options and facilities of your choice with many spectacular views of the planes gates and runways. A lot of seating near all gates. Boarding to Rome took around 15 minutes. FCO-BOS Terminal E 22 August 2013. Arrived at Terminal E on time from our flight. When got to US Customs it was very busy but only a few desks were available. Took around 15-20 minutes. Then we see this big line of people in a zig zag line to get to the arrivals level. Many passengers were frustrated with the crazy line. It went by fast though and we finally exited to the Arrivals level. Was very clean and was happy to be back in Boston.

The security lines are very long and you have to go out and be re-screened at each terminal. Airlines have people in the area trying to help. TSA could care less. Typical government bureaucracy.

Arrived terminal A from Heathrow on 16th May at midday to be met by 40 empty immigration desks. (One opened to process the crew) by 12.30 still no staff by this time another two planes had arrived (Toronto and Amsterdam) the lines getting longer still no staff! About 13.00 a couple of staff made an appearance making a big show of unpacking their coffee flasks logging on etc no eye contact at all. By 13.30 a few more appeared and went through the same routine. Roughly 13.45 they started to process passengers with usual surly attitude. I have never met such a bunch of disgruntled didn't want to be there employees in all my travels both civilian and military.
