Not Verified | Dreadful airport - no baby changing facilities on arrival - had to change baby on the floor. 50 minutes to get through passport control - all automatic passport machines out of order. No toilet facilities until after exit-lifts broken - v hard to bring twin toddlers through the airport. Pushchair not delivered until baggage arrived - how did they get it so wrong at this airport

Not Verified | Unpleasant on so many levels. Our check in counter was not showing up. Luckily we checked the next one but not a person who works in the airport was helpful. Moving onto security, a gentleman was cutting the queue and the security guard went crazy, it didn’t bother anyone but he was scary crazy. Travelling with my kids, I apparently wasn’t quick enough to be in his designated line and he yelled at me, even though there was people in front of me. Waiting at the gate, sit on the floor as there is less than 50 seats for a flight with 200 seats. Whoever approved this airport is an absolute idiot.

Not Verified | The worst security I’ve ever been through. The amount of disrespect I received was too much for me not to say something. If there was a way to flag certain personnel I would. They were arrogant, incredibly rude, and frankly incompetent. There was no system. Berlin has a serious problem.

✅ Trip Verified | Particularly incompetent ground staff for Air France at boarding. On our departure from Berlin to Paris yesterday afternoon, two members of the Air France ground staff at boarding showed complete incompetence and total lack of manners. We almost missed our flight because they refused us access to the aircraft for irrelevant reasons (we were on a return flight with reserved seats). We had to wait for all the passengers to board before we could ask them to take our boarding passes, which clearly indicated our seat numbers, into account. The mistake was theirs, but instead of apologizing, they showed arrogance and bad faith, telling us that it was up to us to check our boarding passes, even though this is their job. Perhaps boarding should be totally automated, as a machine would have more empathy than this useless and unpleasant staff.

✅ Trip Verified | Berlin Airport is an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. The security process is a total disaster, with queues lasting over an hour and even worse, half of the security staff taking breaks despite the long lines. This lack of consideration for travelers' time is evident when you're forced to walk from one side of the airport to the other due to overcrowding at the security points. The security staff's sluggishness is beyond comprehension, as there seems to be no sense of urgency whatsoever. Even when people's gates are closing, there is no accommodation or assistance provided, leaving travelers stranded and stressed. It's disheartening to know that despite countless complaints, the airport management does nothing to address these issues. This apparent disregard for the public is truly disconcerting and disreputable. It is unacceptable to witness a situation where the airport shows nothing but contempt for its customers. To make matters worse, it appears that the same security company is responsible for the chaos at Frankfurt airport as well, indicating a pattern of incompetence and negligence. The airport's lack of organization and proper planning forces travelers to resort to dangerous measures just to make it to their terminal in time. This is particularly alarming for individuals with health conditions like asthma, as the unnecessary stress and exertion can have severe consequences. My partner and other passengers had to run to Gate 33, we both have asthma and we were sweating and could barely breath when we reached the plane. What if we had an asthma attack after takeoff? It's infuriating that an airport, which should prioritize the safety and well-being of its passengers, allows such hazardous situations to occur. Berlin Airport's management and security are utterly incompetent and seem to ignore the well-documented issues and complaints from travelers. The experience is not only frustrating but also poses risks to travelers' health and safety. It is sincerely hoped that measures will be taken to rectify these problems, and until then, it would be wise to avoid this airport if possible.

Not Verified | Incredibly incompetent security procedures that take far longer than necessary. Staff are slow, even ditsy, and seem to take a certain delight in ensuring that lines move at a crawl. The lines are disordered too and the introduction of a new reservation system not only further worsens the whole process by allocating the main security terminal for pay-to-play customers but even that is stupidly run. To think of how smoothly, and quickly, Tegel used to run.

✅ Trip Verified | We almost missed our flight because of the security line. We stood there for over an hour and eventually people started to break through the line as their flights were about to leave. The security refused to manage the line, control the situation or do anything really to expedite the process. As people were freaking out instead of breaking the line into the neighboring counters the person managing the separation of liquids and electronics called the police to have a conversation, further slowing things down. My appeals to five other security people to help were denied with “just ask other passengers”. Berlin Brandenburg airport security is not doing their job and are completely incompetent, leading to the delays of many flights (ours waited as many passengers were stranded in line), stress for passengers and lost items at security counter from all the mayhem. They should be sent for training to other airports which somehow mastered this standard task.

Not Verified | We nearly missed our departure thanks to your departure boards not updating passengers when to board. It was chaos. It was obvious to us we wouldn't catch our flight. A lovely German man asked a member of staff for help but she refused to help. He told my husband to go to one of the shut kiosks and ask for help. This man kindly stamped our passports and we were able to catch our flight.

Not Verified | I see people have same bad experience in this airport as me. Staff is ignorant. Waiting time for security check is ridiculous. They work so slow. They don't care about time of departure and keep people waiting. Probably many people lose their flights. I know that they probably don't care about my opinion, but if you choose Berlin, specially for departure, please come early and be prepared for standing in huge queues. Be prepared to treating you ignorant and not respecting at all!

Not Verified | A very poor experience both on arrival and departure. On arrival, there were considerable delays with the bus service meeting the plane, so we were held on board some time before being able to exit the plane. This was followed by a long queue for non EU passport holders. On departure, there were extensive delays getting through security- the security area as a whole seemed badly laid out - and a series of factors contributing to s very delayed departure.
