Not Verified | Very unpleasant airport staff, very unfriendly and very bad treatment in general, but specifically with a woman belonging to the security control staff. Passing the control makes you dizzy, and the lady in question has made me throw several products in the trash and not travel with them; because according to her she did not meet the flight requirements, even though they did; with very bad manners at all times and yelling. Very unpleasant experience!! That lady shouldn't be working in front of the public. | Personal del aeropuerto muy desagradable, muy antipáticos y muy mal trato en general, pero específicamente con una mujer perteneciente al staff del control de seguridad. Al pasar el control te marean, y la señora en cuestión me ha hecho tirar varios productos a la basura y no viajar con ellos; porque según ella no cumplía con los requisitos de vuelo, a pesar de que si que lo cumplían; con muy malas formas en todo momento y gritando. Experiencia muy desagradable!! Esa señora no debería estar trabajando de cara al público.

Not Verified | Security people are horrible power orcs, god-given and all-mighty. Bow to their wisdom and all-existing experience. And don't forget to say thank you, cause its all logical and helpful and for your safety and security what they live and breathe for. Combine that with German social culture and you get Berlin airport and its experience. Airport lacks seating places and areas. Positive is the parking area and local transportation hub.

✅ Trip Verified | First of all. Navigation on airport is mega confused. Our flight was delayed for over an hour because there was no baggage loading staff…after an hour waiting we finally took of towards Wien. And guess what. They lost our baggage, worst airport experience ever.

Not Verified | Airport Security check before flight - waiting time about one hour! Airport baggage reclaim: waiting time for first baggage from flight almost 30 minutes!

Not Verified | Been told to be here 3 hours pre departure. Arrival and Security check was super fast. Seating is very limited. No restaurant or bar, only one food stand with hot dogs and coffee available in the security area. Very boring having to wait for flight. I have plans to travel with 2 toddler's next time and I am seriously worried how to keep them busy and feed here.

Not Verified | Absolutely awful airport with the worst security check waiting time. The airport staff allowed 15 late passengers to jump the one hour queue, I waited because they were late. Which is not my problem at all and I should not wait more and be late myself because of their poor planning and organizational skills.

Not Verified | Reaching the airport from Berlin city center was easy using the public transport; we used the S9 but there are alternatives. Navigation in the airport was to me confusing. There are too many signals, and it was not obvious to me after reaching the airport how could I reach Terminal 1 and the check in. I obviously found the way but it was not equally easy as it is in other airports. Departures seem to be mixed with Arrivals. Check in was slow. People there became easily nervous, they don’t speak good English and they may behave in an ironic and impolite manner. It happened to us during the check in. Security control was rather slow. Not sure if this was due to systems performance or formality and I am not against security but there must exist a balance. It took us more than an hour to check in and pass through the security control in a rather not busy day. Food is very expensive. Buying three portions of curry wurst with french fries cost more than 36€, let alone the speed of the preparation. Going from the food area to gate 36 we had to walk for more than 10’. There were three escalators, all out of operation. The gate door was separated from the area were passengers were waiting. As a result they had to stand waiting for the getting into the airplane. All the above combined create a very bad impression in a country with an excellent tradition in making things working. Especially if one considers that this is a rather new airport that cost a lot of money!

Not Verified | Awful. Insufficient seating for passengers. And by that, there's like 10 seats per gate area in the common waiting area, while you wait for gate information. People sitting on the floor everywhere. There are no working power sockets to charge your phone if needed. Absolute chaos while boarding with an ultra rude employee.

✅ Trip Verified | “Berlin Brandenburg Airport – Live your myth in a post-modern DDR reality” So new but so wrong! If there were -20 stars, it would be my review. A long weekend in Berlin visiting my kids turned out to be a tragic-comic experience with the irresponsible ground-service provider called Wisag. Instead of spending my precious time with my family, instead of exploring once more the great German capital, I was forced to find out that the “NEW” airport of Berlin relies its services on providers and people who know how to insult, to lie, and to mislead the users of Willy Brand airport. My nightmare started after accepting that my suitcase will not appear on the baggage reclaim belt. I spent two days between BER airport, the office of WISAG, the delivery office of BEX and talking many many times with the call center of WISAG to find my luggage. Finally I discovered that the suitcase never moved out of their territory. To add to the insult, I was left without my medication that I was carrying in my luggage for more than 2 days. The people at Wisag come from another era. Nobody was doing their job correctly and nothing is working if a problem arises. These people do not care about the quality of their work, do not care about the thousands of visitors and travelers. Comfortable in their positions, unable to take over any responsibility, unable to admit mistakes they have done or apologize. Unable to come up with a credible excuse, unable to respect the concerns of the people who they are supposed to support. Old school mindset, bad lies. I believe during DDR years, citizens were treated in the same way. For every person who has lost their luggage in BER airport, do not trust Wisag if they tell you that they will send the luggage. Go directly to their office and insist on getting your luggage ASAP. They are liars and irresponsible. The administration of the BER airport should consider more carefully its partners. Worst experience ever!

Not Verified | I have flown a few times in and out of the airport and it is by far and away one of the worst airports in Europe. It took them more than 10 years to complete and it feels dated even though it was just opened a couple years ago. Lines are always long at security and move at a snails pace, signage is non existent, the train comes in and the entry for all others at the same place creating a huge bottleneck and again no signs pointing where to go. Once you are lucky to get in the terminal I hope you bought your own snacks because the few food places also have long lines. There is a real lack of any amenities and only one giant duty free store but no where to get some decent food. Then you must walk huge distances, no moving sidewalks, only to get to a gate with 5 seats so you stand for an hour waiting. The older Tegal airport was better than this monstrosity and I would avoid if possible.
