"very good experience"
16 reviews Nuno Luz (Portugal)
Lisbon to Auckland via Dubai with Emirates. First leg Lisbon to Dubai on old Boeing 777-300, old ICE and small screen, nice journey because crew were fantastic, very late timing leaving Lisbon, fantastic team in Dubai waiting with signs to take us to the next flight. EK 408 also a Boeing 777-300 to Melbourne with technical stop in Kuala Lumpur. This was a new plane or at least with fantastic seats on the back, great flight. In Melboune waited for EK 406 to take us to Auckland, full flight, don't like so much the A380-800, the seats a bit more space but less privacy like the Boeing 777-300. A very good experience with Emirates.

"would recommend Emirates"
1 reviews Jean Roberts (United States)
The lure of a stopover in Dubai when flying Orlando to Cape Town was strong. Departed Orlando on the third day after the inaugural flight. In Business Class, Emirates offers limo pick up, which we did. I need a wheelchair, and that went very smoothly to the Business Lounge in Orlando - they were using a very small space, but nice lunch buffet. Seats 9A/B were fairly comfortable as were the other seats we had. Thank goodness for the addition of the long pad for sleeping. Remember the days of Delta being called "Chicken airline" because of their chicken meals, then Emirates should be called "The Reboot airline". On each of our four segments the computer had to be rebooted because either the ICE did not work, or the partition would not retract or the seat would not go into a flat position. Eventually my daughter had to move to another seat so she could sleep lying down - after all that is what we paid for. Otherwise, I would recommend Emirates to everyone. The service was excellent with only 40 business class passengers on the outward flight to Dubai, and 30 on the return flight. The flight attendants on the Orlando/Dubai segments both ways were so personable and looked after all the passengers. On the Dubai/Capetown segments they were competent, but aloof. One glitch was the wheelchair in Dubai on return trip - was told it was unnecessary as we would be in transit lounge. Not true. And in Orlando the chair was not visible until I finally just sat in the baggage lounge and said I was not going anywhere. We were fortunate to pay $8,000 for the two of us as a special offer.

"service was excellent"
J Sciberras (Australia)
Melbourne to Dubai via Singapore, and the Emirates service was excellent, food superb and flight attendants very attentive. One of my traveling companions had a bad allergic reaction to a product bought at the airport, and the crew went out of their way so much. After our stopover in Singapore, the new cabin crew had been informed that my companion was not well. They kept an attentive eye throughout the entire flight and when we asked for some chocolate and they forgot because they were so busy, they went to Business Class and got the chocolate from there. At Dubai we noticed they cost about $50USD for a box of 6! I will fly Emirates in the future, best airline I have been on.

"worst flights I have been on"
G Jones (United States)
Dallas to Dubai return in October 2015 with Emirates were the worst flights I have been on. Seats were cramped, poor service, filthy bathrooms, and crying children during the entire flight. Had great hopes that this airline would be exceptional and it was exceptionally bad.

"disappointed with comfort"
E Blackman (United Kingdom)
Emirates from Singapore to Gatwick via Dubai. Very full flights on all legs. Both legs delayed. Found seats had little lumber support and narrow which after spending 17 hours in them, both my husband and I were in pain. Food was poor, ordered vegetarian and got given 'vegan' on the way out so had to call Emirates to change this for this leg. Husband had chicken, which was ok but why serve gravy on a full flight with no elbow room? Equally spaghetti with tomato sauce? Constant passenger announcements disturbed inflight entertainment which was very irritating, and very loud in the earphones. Overall disappointed with comfort, promptness of schedule and noise levels on plane.

"crew was like newly trained"
Mohammad Arshad (United States)
Emirates service was not up to standard. The cabin crew was like newly trained and not professional. I was travelling with wife and one 10 month old son. Could not use the inflight entertainment system due to bassinet seat installed in front of me for my son. Why do they provide menu cards when they don't have all the food available all the time. My seat was 56J/K. and air hostess always skip these seats which is next to kitchen, and they would start from the seat right behind ours. They provided food and did not bother to pick up trays for at least 45 minutes - many people end up going themselves to kitchen and put the trays back. During the flight they never offered tea or coffee to us.

"nice dinner served"
Loay Osman (United Arab Emirates)
Kuwait to Dubai onboard Boeing 777, cabin was half empty, online check in was smooth. Attentive crew, nice dinner served for short flight. Captain was informative with the updates of the flight. The only down side was aircraft parked away from the terminal at DXB which ended up on a lengthy bus ride to the terminal and arrival gate.

"service is getting worse"
Peter Scott (Philippines)
Emirates used to be 10/10 airline but as they secure more routes the service is getting worse. They are often late these days and I now leave at least a 4 hour gap to make sure I make the next flight in Dubai. For the latest flight from Manila to Dubai they forgot that there is heavy traffic on a Friday night and the crew arrived over 2 hours late - if all the passengers can get to the Airport on time then why can't the crew? What is so bad is that the ground staff lied about the situation when they told the economy passengers the aircraft needed more cleaning, but told the business class passengers the truth. There is no doubt that Emirates is undergoing a decline in service.

"Dubai T3 is the worst part"
2 reviews Lawrence McCormick (United Kingdom)
I was able to choose my seats for all four sectors on the round trip. I'm not a big man, so economy seating rarely presents me with a problem, and for me the available legroom was fine regardless of aircraft type. The A380 was a cut above the others in terms of comfort and quietness though, but the service was a little wooden and certainly slow, but the food was not bad at all. Service was slightly better on the DXB-SGN return legs, food reasonable but nothing to write home about. One thing I wish Emirates would move away from is the overcrowded serving tray or at least change the shape of it! A square tray balanced on a rectangular seat table is not a great fit. Entertainment was good, except for the Boeing 777 leg (limited choices and poor picture quality), so slept, read, listened to music on that one. Certainly not the greatest service onboard but adequate; nothing that would stop me flying with them again, certainly for the value for money I get, and the convenience (from my perspective at least) of the flight times. Dubai T3 is another story altogether though; I've flown this route a few times now and it remains the worst part of the journey for me. It's not the two to three hour stop-over, I quite welcome the chance to get out, stretch, wash and change clothes, but the building itself - I find it poorly signposted, and just so busy and bustling I struggle to relax there. Would certainly use them again.

"I cannot fault"
Paula Slack (New Zealand)
Melbourne to Auckland on Emirates A380, pure luxury in every shape way and form. The flight was delayed on the way in, and the staff on the ground could have handled that better. But the fight, crew and facilities etc, I cannot fault in any shape way or form.
