Not Verified | I’m devastated. We booked our flights to Japan with Asiana Airlines 11 months ago, via Booking.com. Now 4 weeks from our holiday of a lifetime, the airline has changed its schedule and cancelled our flights offering a refund. Their schedule change meant there was not enough time to make the connecting flight home. Despite running multiple flights on the route between Japan and London, we’re told there are no seats available for same dates. We were offered one flight 4 days later for an extra £600. We’re now left frantically trying to find flights we can afford that work with our hotel bookings.

✅ Trip Verified | Professional and efficient staff, although I have seen more friendly ones at other airlines. On time. Competitive pricing. Seat layout and equipment are old, there is limited storage area, one single UBS port, and old style corded seat control pad. Screens are so dim that it hurts my eyes to watch movies. Seat separator between the middle seats in business class is requires manual pull up and push down. My flight schedule was changed 3 times, each time they left a message for me to call back; however the wait time was super long (at least 30 minutes), and there were times the greeting message was simply “please call back at a later time”. No free Wi-Fi onboard. Other non-stop carriers from TPE to LAX offer free Wi-Fi for business class passengers. I ordered Korean style meals, although it was OK, it lacked the rich taste I would expect. I think this is fair, but it is not a 5-star experience.

"easy 10/10 for Asiana"

Not Verified | An easy 10/10 for Asiana. Fast check in and boarding, really professional and polite cabin crew and check in staff. Planes were clean, spacious and the food was great. So glad we chose Asiana over Malaysia or brutal Qantas. Asiana puts many other airlines to shame in our opinion. The best part was the service and cabin crew, best we’ve probably ever seen, including Singapore and ANA which are also great.

“asked for vegetarian snacks"

✅ Trip Verified | This flight was unsatisfactory due to the lack of vegetarian food and the crew's handling of the situation. About four hours after the first meal had been served, the crew came round giving out snacks. I had booked a vegetarian meal and asked for vegetarian snacks. I was told that there weren't any. When I explained that I had booked vegetarian food, I was told that it did not extend to snacks. This seems very unfair to me. I explained that I was hungry and didn't really feel I could wait for two hours until the next meal. I was told that I should have brought my own food and they had nothing to give me. In the end, a crew member said that if I wanted, she would give me the vegetarian portions of her meal and go hungry. Another crew member told me that I had made her feel bad by complaining about the poor food service. I felt unfairly treated.

✅ Trip Verified | I cannot praise this airline enough. The service on board is fantastic. The crew cannot do enough for you. The food is like dining in a 5 star restaurant! We had a six course meal for lunch including soup! Everything about Asiana was great. The only minor grip is that the IFE could be better. Very limited choice. If they can expand that then they are definitely a winning airline.

"I was very impressed"

Not Verified | I always enjoyed flying this airline. What really stood out for me is the service. The cabin crew were going around to check if everything was fine and they were so friendly. I pre-ordered a seafood meal and to be honest, it was pretty delicious. Also, the seat was comfortable with plenty of legroom and width. Overall, I was very impressed.

"Asiana is a good airline"

✅ Trip Verified | Boarding processes at both Sydney and Seoul were smooth and on time. The A350 plane from Sydney to Seoul was new and comfortable, the B777 aircraft from Seoul to Istanbul was pretty old. The in-flight entertainment was outdated, with small screens and no on-demand video system. The meals served on both flights were ordinary, with tasteless salads and sweets. Less spicy Western alternatives would be appreciated. There was an issue with special meal ordering on the Asiana website. The cabin crew were attentive and polite, and seats on both flights were comfortable. Overall Asiana is a good airline but should improve the entertainment system and inflight meals.

"My only concern was the food service"

✅ Trip Verified | On time departure from Seoul. The aircraft looked really old but reasonably clean. Cabin crew seemed to be nice and polite. My only concern was the food service. Never experienced such rushed service although there was a lot of time. I was only halfway with the starter when they served tea and coffee. I wanted to finish the meal first but they didn’t come around a second time. Mixed feelings.
