My first flight was delayed meaning I would be cutting it close and quite possibly missing my connection. They went and looked through all other flights and found something and rescheduled it for me. ✅ Trip Verified | Tampa to Green Bay via Chicago. Where do I even start? First in the line at Tampa a question was asked if any military dependents were flying, yes was the answer so we waited with a giant flashing red light while staff looked at us and continued to ignore us and help even others who had come way after us, only to find out that because the military member wasn’t flying it didn’t matter. So we waited for nothing and why is that even a question? Then when printing my ticket the United Employee who had ignored us the whole time grabs the baggage stickers and sets them aside by someone else’s luggage! Luckily my fiancé noticed and got the attention of a different employee and she apologized for the other employee and put our stickers on in front of us. The flight attendants leaving Tampa were nice at least. We arrive in Chicago, our connecting flight, which we had an hour, but was cut short due to the plane waiting forever, (we as in myself and my 6.5 month old) I change his diaper and put him him the carrier and follow all the signs located in what looks like an area only United flights are...the signs lead me to another security line. Why am I doing this again when I’m trying to catch a connecting flight? The answer the United employee gave me was that I followed the wrong signs. So here I have to go through this again and at this point my plane boards in 10 minutes and I still have to go through security again just to get to the plane. The TSA lady saw I was in distress and helped me as she asked how long I had. Made it to the plane just in time. Again, the flight attendant was very nice. Get to Green Bay, get off the plane and go to the baggage claim where everyone waited almost an hour before bags even started coming. Guess what? Mine are no where in site (one bag and a car seat). Go to the United Ticketing area and no one was there, multiple people at the other airlines and none at the one I needed. Another employee said she was probably in the back and points to the door, we go and look, I see my bags, no employee. Finally a different flight line employee goes and gets her and she comes out rudely as if I’m disturbing her. Get my bags and I’m finally on my way to my destination. I guess since my bags had a car seat they kept them elsewhere, but failed to tell me that? This did not happen when I flew American. But it doesn’t end there. Apparently United chose my bag, the one with the car seat, to go through. Broke a few of my things and some of the bathroom items were out of the bags they were put in to prevent any leaking. My stuff was all messed up and I know they went through them because they left a card saying they did. I'm dreading flying back with them.

"Prosecco only in 1st class"

✅ Trip Verified | Honolulu to Los Angeles via Boston. I have used United services before and I had OK experience. This time was different. Honolulu to Los Angeles: there was no media device on the plane. Overall this is a flight over 5 hours - media device was something expected by all passengers. Couple of the flight attendants were very rude - I understand it's not very easy to work with so many people during a flight but being polite is still part of the service Los Angeles to Boston : this time the flight attendants were super sweet and polite but my negative opinion is based on one of the united rules that I was not familiar with : I ordered glass of prosecco (aware of the fact that I will pay for it ) and I was told that Prosecco could be served only if you are in 1st class! So if you are not flying 1st class you can only order and pay for a glass of chardonnay or cabernet. This might sound silly but what kind of a policy is that. You can't purchase something that is already for sale, because you do not belong to 1st class?

"Very bad customer service"

Very bad customer service, delayed my flight my flight supposed to leave 6:25 am, I drove 5 hours from where I live to the airport, when I got to the airport they told me my flight was delayed. I told them I have international connection flight, they told me they don’t care I ask for the manager to talk to her regarding this issue, she’s not even trying to talk to me. I’m very upset they make me miss my flight, make me stay at hotel at my own cost. Never fly with this airline again.

"Never again for me"

Not Verified | Chicago to Nashville. Terrible airline. If you value your time do not use United because they could care less about your time. My last 5 flights with United have had 2 cancellations, and 6 delays. Whether it’s maintenance checks or a pilot has not arrived yet they always inconvenience there customers. You pay them in full before you get a ticket then they never give you what you pay for. Never again for me.

"I have had enough"

Not Verified | I fly a lot on this airline since it has direct flights to Denver and California, places I frequent. Because of the amount of flying I do, I have a Priority status. On several of my flights this year, entertainment was accessed only via the app on a cell phone. However, the connectivity did not work nor did the plug-ins for power to run a mobile phone or laptop. My last flight was to Denver on a ski trip. Even with my ski and duffle bags marked "priority", it took two hours from landing to get my bags. My impression is that UA baggage is understaffed (and also underpaid) where customer service is critical. Counter agents were pleasant enough, constantly apologizing for the delays. I am seriously considering changing my carrier selection. I have had enough.

"They canceled the flight"

✅ Trip Verified | Portland to Newark. I booked a flight for my daughter to come to visit during her school break. She's 17. They canceled the flight for some mysterious ATC delays that only seemed to affect United, because I was able to book another flight immediately to get my daughter here. Still inconvenienced by 1 night by the way. United tried to book her on a flight 2 days later. Most ridiculous thing I've heard of. Altogether different, but I always said after that video came out of United personnel removing that man forcibly from the plane. that I shouldn't book flights on United anymore. Now I have more of a personal reason. Weather is fine, but couldn't somehow find a way to get my daughter here until 2 days later. No thank you. Not acceptable when other airlines are operating in the same airport with multiple flights and not affected by the mysterious ATC conditions.

"airport staff were indifferent"

✅ Trip Verified | Why is it every time I'm stuck flying United the flights are ridiculously late. This time, flight 712, EWR to CLE. The departure time scheduled 6:14PM, there were at least 4 changed to the departure time with the flight finally leaving EWR at 10:12 pm. The airport staff were indifferent, no offer of anything, not that I expected much after the last United flight (out of EWR) that we were on. They held us on the plane at the gate for over 2.5 hours before starting to let people off, then telling us "wait, stay on the plane we were ready to depart", then spending another hour at the gate before finally pushing back. United, you wont get a third chance.
