"always getting delayed"

Trip Verified | Miami to Newark. Travel with United Airlines is always getting delayed. This is just the 3rd instance in a row. United doesn’t care about customer service or satisfaction. United just want to make money and cut down the cost at the expense of customer satisfaction and happiness. United executives just care about how much millions they make at the expense of the customers and the employees. I wish a better airlines available like Singapore or other airlines who cares about customers.

"Horrible customer service"

Not Verified | Rochester to Newark. I asked to have a seat reassignment the attendant told me they won't even look at it then the flight is late because the airport did not have a power pack ready to power up the plane.. Horrible customer service and performance by United to meet their obligation to their customers.

"frustrated and disappointed"

Not Verified | I was supposed to leave from Houston to Rio de Janeiro on April 20th, 10 pm. It is April 21st, 2:30 pm and I am still at Houston airport with all the other passengers trying to get an extra flight to replace the one they just cancelled: "We're very sorry to let you know that your flight (UA 129) on 21 Apr. has been canceled because of a lengthy maintenance delay and regulatory crew scheduling restrictions. Check out your options on the United app or united.com under Saved Reservations. You may also contact us at 1-800-UNITED-1." Well, they made a mistake and the solution is just to cancel a 10hr flight - people made plans for that. Besides this problem, crew members have been rude to people that were just trying to get information. I am a loyal customer but now I don't even know what to be loyal for... if a service company charges more expensive prices and you still buy it, is because you trust on receiving a better service... not what I have seen today. Very frustrated and disappointed.

"Never seen an airline this bad"

Trip Verified | Orlando to San Francisco. Service was very bad and aircrafts was very dirty. Due to some delays on another airline I was rebooked to return back to Tampa same day. I did not make that flight because of the incompetence of the ground staff in San Francisco. Very rude and did not really care to listen. Same day inbound flight horrible aircraft outbound could not even make it because of United staff. 25 years of flying over 200.000 miles per year. Never seen an airline this bad.

"Worst first class flight"

Trip Verified | Hartford to Denver. First class is not very classy. After boarding the attendants were nice, offered a couple of drinks. Then breakfast one option cereal and yogurt. After takeoff and “Breakfast” we had another 2.5 hours with no beverage or snack service! And let’s not forget no wi-go! Thank god for solitaire. Worst first class flight ever!!

"cancelled flight due to maintenance"

Trip Verified | Denver to Burlington. I was supposed to arrive at my destination 18 hours before my life changing interview giving me plenty of time to be prepared. But of course, with United, I ended up landing in Boston at 12am (not Burlington, Vermont), and had to rent a car ($312.07 receipt attached, wasn’t planning on renting) to drive to 3.5 hours to Stowe, Vermont to make sure I got to my interview by 9am. I slept for 2 hours before my lifetime interview because United lost my bag and I didn’t have my suit. So, I had to buy a full suit for my interview ($150) an hour before my interview. This truly couldn’t be any worse of a situation and impacted my personal life dramatically. I made it to the interview, but 2 hours of sleep and cheap temporary dress clothes was devastating. No bag, cancelled flight due to maintenance, no flight to my destination, renting a car, driving hours after midnight, all could have been avoided by United. I would also like to add I still don’t have my bag and I’m flying back home. I’ve gone this whole trip with no clothes, no toiletries, nothing. United needs to fix this.

"really worst experience"

Not Verified | Newark to Delhi. This was first time i booked international flight for my family through United Airlines it was really worst experience i ever had with any airlines.The flight UA82 was scheduled from Newark to Delhi at 9:50 PM on 16th April 2019. We went to airport with 2 small kid (1 infant) and really struggled for checkin, United airlines agent were really arrogant and not responding properly on query, anyway i spent 1 hour and 30 minute finding what to do and agents sending me here and there. At last we have been asked to be on a long queue to get help, finally after another 40 minute on queue we have been told that flight is cancelled and that is the reason we had difficulty in checkin through kiosk. Wow this was terrible, i had to drive 60 miles to reach airport and now i hear flight is cancelled, there was no prior intimation on cancellation of the flight. Thankfully i kept few days of gap for my next flight from Delhi to Raipur. I was given only one option of connecting flight next day which i had no choice of denying so accepted. I really never thought United Airlines is going to be such a terrible experience. Now onwards UA would be a last option to fly with.

"$30 fee for checking in online"

Trip Verified | Chicago to Dallas. Well, United just lost a customer since 1981. Tried to check in online (and via phone, and with a live human) and was told that one cannot check in without a checked bag. In other words, there is a $30 fee for checking in online. Goodbye, United. It's been fun!

"little arm or leg room"

Trip Verified | Chicago to Oklahoma City. We were told that we had to check our carry-on luggage because it wouldn’t fit in the overhead cabin. Once boarded, we saw the limited space and were shocked. The aircraft was very warm, small and uncomfortable. There were no plugs for devices nor were there any screens to view tv/movies. I was blown away with how little space there was, the lack of amenities and how cramped the flight was for the money we paid just to be on the aircraft. How is it we are now spending more and more money these days, yet going through hoops just to fly and getting less? There was little arm or leg room, no WiFi, there was water but no soap in the one restroom available, my armrest would not go up and the compartment holding the magazines was broken. I will think twice before boarding another United aircraft again.

"will never book with them again"

Trip Verified | Dublin to Chicago via Kansas City. I have been a longtime miles plus and explorer member. I booked flights on United for my wife and son from Dublin to Kansas City through the United website using my account. This is one of those code share flights where Aer Lingus carries out the first leg and United, the second. The Aer Lingus flight was delayed and my wife and son missed their connecting flight. When at the United customer desk, they were told that it wasn't their problem. There were no more flights to Kansas City that night and they would not arrange accomodation. Instead, United made a ten year old and his mother sleep in the airport, and I still had to drive three hours to collect them at another airport, unless they wanted to remain in the Chicago airport for another day. I am astounded by the service provided by United. I will never book with them again and will take steps to cancel my explorer credit card with them.
