"currently stuck in Denver"

Not Verified | Cancun to Sioux Falls via Denver. Never buy a ticket through United! They caused my family to lose our boarding passes on their apps because they thought we were going to miss our flight from Denver to Sioux Falls. Also, I should add the reason we were late to the flight is that a United plane was stuck in our gate for docking. No matter what we did we could not get them back and we missed our flight. We are currently stuck in Denver airport until we get a new flight rescheduled. Thanks, United.

"delays all the time"

Trip Verified | Indianapolis to Newark. United Airlines seems to have delays all the time getting from Newark to Indianapolis about 3 hr and 1hr on the way back. Makes planning almost impossible. Never had that much delay even with budget airlines.

"trip turned into a disaster"

Trip Verified | I’m beyond disappointed with my long trip to the Ukraine. Flight United 4911 has already left the gate and was in the middle of the runway when all of a sudden the plane stopped and we were announced that there is going to be a 20 minute delay. The airplane was shut down and no air was coming in. After an hour and a half standing in the middle of the runway with no air our plane was towed back to the gate. On top of that I was sitting at the very back where it got so hot that I could barely breath. That lead to me missing all my connecting flights to the Ukraine. I was rebooked for a different flight, leaving out of a different airport. However, I was told that it was my responsibility to pay for the cab to get to IAD from DCA. On top of everything my baggage with important medications got lost as it was sent to NY and I went to Munich. My trip turned into a disaster with long layovers.

"bag taken from me as too big"

Trip Verified | Washington to Los Angeles. Last 3 flights, United gate agents berate passengers to check bags. I am a frequent flyer, with status, and one of the first to board. My bag was taken from me as too big. I’ve flown over 25K miles with United already this year- it has always fit fine in the overhead. I asked to show the gate agent that it fit fine in the bin they have to measure the size of carry-ons, she told me I could not even try. She marked it for checked-baggage. I took it, and showed her that it fit perfectly in the size requirements, even photographing it. She said it didn’t matter, she would be taking my bag. Lovely. Why have rules if they won’t follow them?

"not be travelling United in future"

Trip Verified | Chicago to Toronto. We had a total of 6 flights with United over a 2 week period, 2 of which had delays on the way to our destination and our way home which caused us to miss our connecting flights. On our way to our destination, our flight from Chicago to San Fran was delayed by about 2 hrs causing us to miss our flight in SAN Francisco to Honolulu due to mechanical issues. The lineup at the customer service centre was awful having to wait over one hour just to plan our next flight. We were travelling with some friends that we were supposed to be on the same flight of our final leg to Honolulu which caused some issues with our itinerary as we were unable to land together. On our way home, our flight from San Fran to Chicago was delayed by 1.5 hrs due to the weather which made us miss our connecting flight once again in Chicago. Our next flight was not scheduled for another 4hrs that morning. We understand that weather causes delays but to have our next leg be delayed by an extra 4 hours after already having travelled for almost 24 hrs seems to be excessive.There was also an earlier flight we could have been placed on, however the customer service representative did nothing to try and see if there was any way we could make that flight. We understand things happen that cause delays but it seems obvious that United does not take in consideration their customers total travel time when rescheduling connecting flights and does not even offer any type of compensation, even something as a food voucher would have been appreciated. It’s safe to say we will not be travelling with United in the future.

"getting worse and worse"

Trip Verified | Portland to Cleveland via Denver. I fly United all the time and unfortunately they just keep getting worse and worse. Today I had the rudest experience checking into Portland airport. I don’t care how “cheap” they are it is no longer worth the abuse they are expecting us to endure. Never again.

"No room, bad service"

Trip Verified | Denver to Maui. Took a 7 hour flight. They offered food for purchase, but ran out half way through the plane. Once we landed, the airport didnt have an available gate! We waited on the tarmack for almost an hour. The pilot and attendants were rude and told us to keep our seat belts on. No air conditioning. Since it was a long flight, and they ran out of food all the kids were hot, hungry, and tired. Never will I fly this airline again. No room, bad service.

"they seem to not care"

Not Verified | We are currently in Punta Cana from a flight from Richmond. The check in and flight was smooth, but then United Airlines lost our bag. We are on day two of our vacation, and they are saying our bag is still in Washington. They have ruined our vacation, and there are different answers every time we speak with someone. One person says the bag will be coming, and then someone else says there is no record of the bag. This has all of our essentials and clothes and they seem to not care. They said they could reimburse us, but with United it’s not worth the chance. I can honestly say I will never fly with United again.

"demoting from Premium to Economy"

Trip Verified | Newark to Tek Aviv via Houston. I'm a United Premier 1K traveler. Still all that good customer background did not prevent United from demoting me from Premium to Economy. Discriminated in favor of a more deserving passenger? Told to shut up and sit down when I complained for the undeserving demotion. Threatened when I asked the FA's name. I raised this issue all the way to United's CEO. I thought he means that customer care is important, no, he doesn't. He just cares to get my money. Customers are just a necessary inconvenience.

"did an outstanding job"

Trip Verified | Chicago to Shanghai. United Airlines in business class did an outstanding job. The crew was excellent and pleasant. The food was fresh. I slept very well with a thick & thin blanket, large size pajamas, fluffy pillow, and fancy amenity kit.
