"experience with Swiss was great"

Not Verified | Our recent experience with Swiss was great! We flew from Singapore to Ljubljana via Zurich and return. Singapore Airlines conveyed us from Sydney to Singapore and return. We purchased our our seats in January for our October/November travel. Luggage was at destinations, flights on time, meals were more than adequate, crew were friendly and helpful, and planes clean and quite new. There were a couple of times when flight times were changed slightly and information from Swiss was excellent as well as pre flight details a couple of weeks before leaving. The 777 economy seating looked cramped but because we booked early we were able to chose 2 seat rows up the back of the plane. After reading negative comments throughout the year we were worried we made the wrong choice, however our flights and everything associated with them were hassle free and without any concerns. We also had the added bonus of having around 20 passengers on our Ljubljana to Zurich flight. It was hard to compare Swiss, the first time we have flown with this airline, with Singapore as both airlines offered very similar service quality which we enjoyed on our flights

“Brilliant flight from start to finish”

Trip Verified | Brilliant flight from start to finish. The economy class cabin was only a third full but the flight still operated as usual, so we had even more attention than usual from the cabin crew. Smooth flight which was on time. Definitely my first choice of airline when flying to Switzerland.

“Poor service”

Trip Verified | Swiss externalises both legs to Helvetic Airways. Extremely deceived, both legs late, but explanation given on first leg and nothing on second leg. Swiss German spoken instead of German, could not understand anything. Staff absolutely not motivated by the job. Poor service.

“changed my seats without telling me”

Trip Verified | Paid for emergency exit seats due to my height. They changed my seats without telling me then get onto the flight and they were not the seats I paid for! Tried to claim a refund for them as paid for a service I did not receive and Swiss Air refused. Luckily I can do a credit card charge back. Welcome to Swiss Air fraud.

"refusal to offer compensation"

Trip Verified | My recent experience with Swiss for my Lufthansa flights has been far from satisfactory. The primary issue revolved around a triple charge for a flight change, an ordeal that persisted for almost two weeks. Despite diligently following the advice provided and using the company's contact form, my attempts to address the matter were met with a prolonged silence. This lack of response left me with the impression that the experiences and feedback of customers may not be as valued as one would expect. The absence of a proper apology for the inconveniences and troubles I endured further compounded my frustration. Upon reaching the airport for my Lufthansa flights, I discovered that my ticket had supposedly been changed, yet no ticket had been issued. The information and instructions provided by the airline were often confusing and unclear, making the entire experience needlessly distressing. The airline's lackluster customer service, refusal to offer compensation, and the absence of formal apologies intensified my disappointment. In addition, the prolonged holding of my funds without clarity and the incomplete information provided during the resolution process only served to deepen my confusion and frustration.

"a good solid product"

Not Verified |   Virtually full flights both ways, but staff helpful with hand luggage, making for on time departures. Friendly service, and felt relaxed. Just a bottle of water and chocolate offered, but a good solid product. Impressed.

"Why can seat backs be lowered"

Trip Verified | This airline would be OK if they stopped marketing themselves as a premium airline. The experience is one of a low-cost carrier at a premium price. They assign seats during check-in which you can change at the price of 35 CHF with an Economy Light ticket. Why can seat backs be lowered in this cramped airplane? No one needs that on a short flight and it only means leg space is even more limited for the passenger behind.

“Service was a joke”

Trip Verified | It doesn’t worth to pay extra for Premium Economy. I paid extra on an upgrade bid. Premium Economy is 3 rows in front of Economy, no separate area. Amenities kit is very poor and looks so cheap (made of recycled material). Seats are very uncomfortable, there are wider than economy but they recline very little so you ending sleeping with a back-pain. Seat photo looks great but in reality they are not. Service on the ATH-ZRH flight was a joke, plane was an A320, at least it was not an A220 that they sometimes use on the route. Service on B777 was professional but not friendly. Food was good on china plates. They distribute menu and welcome drink, there were 2 options of meal. Head phone were on an excellent quality. There was great selection of drinks. After dinner, during flight you could go to galley at the rear of plane for some snacks. IFE was good but selection of movies very standard, limited selection of Asian/Indian movies. One hour before landing there was the second service, just before landing they distribute chocolates.

"left us high and dry"

Not Verified |   Swiss cancelled our flight (LX2254) 16 Oct 2023. First there was a delayed departure time then it was cancelled. We missed our connecting flight. They put us in a hotel over night and said they would send us notification of new travel itinerary for the and would pay the cost of transfer back to the airport. We never received an email or details of the reimbursement process. We had to contact our travel agent to find out what flight we were to get. Swiss just left us high and dry and have had no follow up communication with us.
