Not Verified | Swiss cancelled our flight (LX2254) 16 Oct 2023. First there was a delayed departure time then it was cancelled. We missed our connecting flight. They put us in a hotel over night and said they would send us notification of new travel itinerary for the and would pay the cost of transfer back to the airport. We never received an email or details of the reimbursement process. We had to contact our travel agent to find out what flight we were to get. Swiss just left us high and dry and have had no follow up communication with us.

"Efficient, clean, friendly"

✅ Trip Verified | Efficient, clean, friendly. We always enjoy flying with Swiss because (unlike Lufthansa), the staff consistently across as warm and friendly. Another nice touch is the bar of chocolate and bottle of water supplied on every flight. Check-in staff member at Hanover processed our bags efficiently, checked that we had the right visa for our ultimate destination but without grilling us. Both our flights were slightly behind in time in departing but made up the time, so that we arrived on schedule.

"I found SWISS to be very disappointing"

✅ Trip Verified | A very mixed trip in terms of standards. At Marseille, we went to the business class lounge and an attendant poked their head out of a crack in the entrance door and stated "full". Nothing else, the door was blocked, and he repeated in French "complet". Clearly SWISS do not worry about selling business class features that are not delivered. Onboard service was quick and very curt with the snack tray and drink served, but nothing close to a smile from any of the crew. Zurich transfer was easy and a pleasant SWISS lounge D is close to the boarding gate. As our boarding passes were scanned, staff handed us a slip of paper and stated "seat changed". They then pushed us away and would say nothing else. The second flight was onboard an airBaltic A220. The same snack plus a slice of cheese was served - adequate but it seems they have just 1 meal across every European flight? The airBaltic staff were much better and far more more friendly compared to the grumpy SWISS crew on the previous flight. Overall, for a short haul business class trip I found SWISS to be very disappointing, and not a patch on their standards of 5-10 years ago. No USB / charging sockets onboard, no WiFi service underlines how poor they have become. Aside from obvious cost cutting, SWISS staff service was very poor in the air and on the ground.

"An utterly incompetent airline"

✅ Trip Verified | A very stressful experience that I am not keen to repeat. Zurich - Frankfurt on SWISS, with an onward connection to Rijeka on Lufthansa. As is nearly always my experience with SWISS, the flight left late, 90 minutes after the scheduled departure time. Due to the delay, many passengers - including myself - missed connections. (This was despite the fact that I had booked flights with a two hour layover in Frankfurt to avoid this kind of situation.) No effort was made to assist arriving passengers who had extremely short connections at the arrival gate. We were left to run to gates or deal with incredibly long customer service lines. After first being told I would have to travel the next day (thanks for the wrong information, customer service!), I did my own research and asked to fly to Rijeka via Munich in the evening. More stress again when the Frankfurt - Munich flight was very late and I had to run to make my connection to Rijeka before the gate closed. I arrived over seven hours late and didn't receive my baggage. I could have driven to Croatia in this time and at least have had my baggage with me. An utterly incompetent airline.

"An airline to be avoided"

✅ Trip Verified | London City - Zürich. SWISS is the most unpunctual airline I know, chronically late. This is a good case in point. The flight took off over two hours late. No assistance was provided, not even a food or beverage voucher required per European regulation 261. An airline to be avoided if one has a choice.

"worst and inflexible airline"

Not Verified | Simply the worst and inflexible airline. Unlike easyjet, it is not possible to rebook a flight to another first name / same surname for an additional fee. This even as my wife could not fly because of health reasons. If you go to their headquarters at Paradeplatz, they come up with the lame excuse this would be international ticket trade, but it is rather financial greed as they are willing to resell the same ticket for almost 800 CHF instead of 200 CHF(economy from Zurich to Madrid).

Not Verified | Flight and crew terrific. Food in Business Class good but too small portions and not warm. On a 2h flight in Business I expect a full lunch service. Swiss in about 90% of my flights is changing my pre selected seats, which is annoying. Wine in Swiss Business is too cheap. From a self proclaimed Premium carrier like Swiss, I expect a better wine choice.

Not Verified | I will definitely avoid flying with Swiss Air in the future. My recent experience was incredibly frustrating. A significant flight delay caused me to miss my connecting flight, which forced me to spend an unplanned night in Zurich. To make matters worse, when I requested access to my luggage, it was denied, leaving me without my personal essentials. At the airport service counter, I was promised reimbursement for the inconvenience and expenses incurred. However, my optimism was short-lived. Now, after reaching out to customer service, I've received a message stating that I will not be compensated for the toiletries. This lack of accountability and follow-through has left me deeply disappointed with Swiss Air's customer service and their handling of this situation.

"a shame what Swiss turned into"

✅ Trip Verified | Enough is enough, it is such a shame what Swiss turned into. Once known for its quality, punctuality and reliability, now it is simply a cheap (in quality, not in price) Easyjet. And it just keeps getting worse. Me and my husband as well as our families travel often and it is hard to remember now when was the last time Swiss was not delayed (I wonder how Swiss people feel about such airline representing their country). Today, last flight from London to Zurich, 1 hour delay. What means for evening flights, you get home not just 1 hour but much later, as public transport/taxi connections become limited. There was a man on the flight saying to the crew that he will not be able to get to Luzern as trains there stop running at 23.45. The response from Swiss crew member was that they are not responsible for Swiss railways. Well, this situation would not have happened if Swiss (again!) wasnt late. Now its almost 1 am, we are not yet home (even though we live in Zurich itself) - and tomorrow need to wake up at 5 am for work. These constant delays come on top of cramped (although clean) planes without any entertainment on european flights and outdated on long haul flights, no snacks/food, only small bottle of water and chocolate on the flights, frequent flyer program with constant "technical errors" and quite random bad seats to change which i need to pay 35 chf each for 1h 10 mins flight? Flight attendants and pilots are quite good though. But overall takeover is still killing the "good old Swiss".

✅ Trip Verified | I am truly disappointed by the super low standard. The legroom was equal with low-cost carriers. The complimentary in-flight service simply does not exist in SWISS. The crew handed out one piece of super small chocolate. That should not be a standard in a traditional carrier like a SWISS, that in my opinion should be tagged as a super expensive low-cost airlines. Cabin crew were rude. The flight was delayed. As a FTL im Miles&More I am simply avoiding SWISS due to their horrendous cost cutting. Flying with SWISS in no longer a pleasure.
