"luggage was damaged"

Trip Verified | Zürich to Amsterdam. Traveled on Dec. 24 with Swiss compliant hand baggage. Though we were among the first 20 passengers boarding the aircraft, the flight attendant at the gate stopped us and requested to send our luggage instead. Other passengers were also stopped randomly, actually not so many. The very last passenger was ridiculously allowed to carry on board his big hand baggage, despite the overhead compartments were already full. The boarding procedure was poor and we accumulated a delay of about 20 minutes on departure. The crew was really unfriendly and demotivated. Once we arrived at destination one of the 2 luggage was damaged. (AVIAPARTNER was very responsive and efficient dealing with the incident.) In conclusion we were on the train to the final destination with a delay of about 90 minutes, still on time for the Xmas eve dinner. On Jan. 2nd I filed a complaint through the Swiss customer service web site and I am still waiting for their answer. The service level provided by Swiss on this occasion was comparable to a low cost airline.

"excellent on-board service"

Trip Verified | Prague to Zurich. A ninety minute smooth flight with excellent on-board service and much to be desired ground service. Arrival and departure on time. A "handmade butter sandwich" and a beverage (I chose orange juice) were provided -- the sandwich was surprisingly tasty. Before landing, the flight attendant passed around a basket of chocolate squares -- a stylishly sweet touch. The seats were sufficiently comfortable in a 3 by 3 layout. No personal entertainment equipment on seat back. On the ground, the experience was amazingly unbelievable. I wanted to check in a carry-on suitcase but the clerk at the counter was unable to collect the baggage fee. While a queue formed behind us, the clerk fiddled with an electronic machine to process my credit card before pronouncing that the system was down. Can you believe this? A commercial organization unable to collect revenue! I was directed to a separate booth to pay the fee there and on reaching the place there was no one there. Had to wait several minutes before someone arrived and it took several more minutes for the clerk to take the money -- she had to make phone calls to transmit the credit card information - issue a receipt which I took back to the check in counter -- mercifully was allowed to "skip the line" and my suitcase was checked in. Fortunately it arrived with our flight. This juxtaposition between operational efficiency in air and glitches on the ground was quite perplexing - I was glad I had some time before my flight otherwise I would have become panic struck.

"Service onboard was ok"

Trip Verified | Zurich to Munich. Flew with a new bombardier CS100 (rebranded as an A220) for the first time on a short haul business flight from Zurich to Munich. suffered serious delay waiting on the airside before departure. Service onboard was ok nothing special.

"inflight service very limited"

Not Verified | Athens to Malaga via Zurich. Plane seats are uncomfortable, inflight service limited to a small snack and the flight attendants are polite but unfriendly. The ground staff in Zurich are unprofessional and impolite. They created problems at departure gate for the hand luggage weight or size, but only for some passengers, some were allowed to enter with 2 or three pieces of luggage and some were challenged for having 10 kgs of luggage instead of 8!

Trip Verified | Fast and efficient as well as very friendly check in. Fast track for security is very convenient. Great lounge (modern, airy, friendly staff, good food). Boarding efficient, staff efficient and friendly but a bit distant. Seats are narrow as usual in Europe Business. Food is limited due to very short flight (30 minutes) but good quality. Swiss is still probably the best choice for this route.

"a great experience"

Trip Verified | Singapore to Zurich. Ground staff was rude and the Lounge was not convincing, but this is not to fault Swiss but SQ. They use a new aircraft for this route, a B777. The seat is very comfortable, for sitting and sleeping position, it has a function to soften the seat, very comfortable. If you have a bulk head seat also the space for the foot is large enough. I had a very good and long sleep thanks to this comfortable seat. I recommend to reserve a seat in the front cabin as it is very quiet there. The service was very good, friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Good wine choice. Overall a great experience - I wish every flight was as nice as this one!

"narrow and cramped seats"

Trip Verified | Singapore to Zurich. Good service by friendly crew but ridiculously narrow and cramped seats. What a joke. Ordered a low-calorie meal: it was tasteless and the portion was crazy small for a 13-hour flight. On this route, SWISS is put to a huge shame by its code-share partner Singapore Airlines which offers a far better and much superior both product and service across all cabin classes.

"I enjoyed the trip"

Not Verified | Zurich to Chicago. Luggage on time, Nice crew, flight attendants speak fluent French! Clean aircraft, Videos are almost brand new and sound is very high quality. Small portions for food including tea and coffee (half cup). Narrow seats. Zurich airport is very expensive, Starbucks black coffee costs about 8 dollars. Overall, I enjoyed the trip and it was one of the best airlines I would recommend it.

"seat is narrow and cramped"

Trip Verified | Zurich to Singapore. Friendly cabin crew, super clean aircraft. The seat is ridiculously narrow and cramped though: how are passengers supposed to have a comfortable flight & sleep on these seats remains a mystery to me. Shame on SWISS Economy. Food was OK but portions small. Good selection of drinks. Landed on time. Would fly again but not in Economy long-haul.

"experience is five star"

Trip Verified | I have been travelling Swiss weekly since January and as I had two opportunities to fly with them from Zurich to New York and then return from Chicago in first class I thought I’d make the most of it. The experience is five star for a number of reasons. Check-in was smooth and the amazing first class lounge was just a five minute walk away. You go through security in the lounge. To get on board you are taken by a chauffeur to the gate. On-board I was in seat 1A and was immediately met by a very friendly and attentive purser offering champagne. The seat was clean and comfortable. Once we took off the service and menu was exquisite. A great choice of drinks, one of the best menus I have ever had, and then after that experience a mattress is placed into your seat, you get into the luxury pyjamas, and have a great nights sleep. Once you get off the plane you are the whisked through US immigration at JFK. Gate to luggage was 32 minutes. A record. Swiss is brilliant and the return flight was just as good.
