"Southwest takes 0 accountability"

Trip Verified | By far worst experience flying with Southwest. In the last month I have had 2 flights with Southwest. The 1st one was delayed for 5 hours due to computer problems with Southwest’s nationally. 2nd my flight was cancelled 8 hours before the flight was supposed to take off and after checking in. They simply sent an email saying weather problems was the issue in Denver, however it was sunny during the entire duration of the flight day and other airlines were still flying in and out of Denver. Southwest takes 0 accountability and I suggest finding another provider for air travel.

"Southwest Airlines needs to figure out what they’re doing"

Not Verified | Worst experience ever with Southwest Airlines. Taxi out to take off, right before take-off supposedly windshield wiper not working. Think you might want to test those before leaving. 20 mins back to gate, maintenance fixes wipers by hitting it with a dead blow hammer. Great mechanics! That’s the good news. Now the bad news, pilot now says he’s timed out on his flight time, mind you this was a scheduled 2.5 hour flight. Maybe we’ll find you a new pilot, but unsure when that will be. Meanwhile a full plane just sits here. Southwest Airlines needs to figure out what they’re doing.

"Worst flight ever along with customer care services"

Not Verified | Worst flight ever along with customer care services. I will no longer fly with them. First off don’t board a plane if you aren’t going to take off. Second don’t over book flights. Finally when people tell you that they want a refund or they want another airline just do it: my whole family made it to Atlanta but me. We had tons of plans and I had little time to do it. The most important thing about this trip was to see my Grandpa that is not doing well and guess what Southwest told me? We can book you two days later. I didn’t even get a refund. I will never ever fly with you again.

"nothing but problems and excuses"

Trip Verified | Southwest Airlines used to have it down, pretty much no problems at all. Now nothing but problems and excuses. They now are basically unable to accommodate the influx of people wanting to travel, so they cancel flights, delay flights and use weather, computers down, etc for their excuse. Unacceptable!

"can't keep flights on schedule"

Trip Verified | I remembered why I don't use these idiots to fly. They can't keep flights on schedule to save their lives and when you travel with a handicapped person schedules are very important. I will never fly them idiots again.

"No Customer Service"

Trip Verified | No Customer Service. Flight was cancelled via text message 2 hours prior to departure. Could not get a Rep on the phone after holding 2 hours. Im on hold again now hold time 2+ hours and counting. I had to spend extra money that I did not have on hotel, food, and transportation with no verbal assistance at ALL. I was told I could email them with hopes of a response time of weeks! Not Days but weeks. This is just not acceptable. NO one that works for this airlines care about its passengers. After they get your money, that's it. Hope you get to your destination. Take your money elsewhere.

"cancelled the next leg no explanation"

Not Verified | This airline absolutely sucks. I’ve flown them z4 times recently and every time the flight was late, no explanation, or they cancelled the next leg no explanation. I’m sitting on a SWA plane now in Denver, 50 minutes after scheduled departure time, and we are getting shot from the crew on why the delay and when we will leave l. Very single SWA flight I’ve taken recently has been this messed up. Southwest sucks.

"Coming home was a nightmare"

Trip Verified | First flight out, my suitcase was robbed. Coming home was a nightmare. First flight delayed because they had no one to fly the plane. That meant we missed our connection for the next flight. They paid for a room that night. ( that is a whole other story where they attempted to put us, after we had to complain over and over again) The next day flight canceled after being delayed. Airline refused to pay for our hotel, because they said the flight was canceled due to weather. (Liar) would not still be there if they had someone to fly the plane the day before. Managers are rude and are in need of customer service training. They actually tried to lie to my face, I called them out on it. Booked again for the following day, delayed again. No surprise. Staff was out of control threatening passengers about wearing a face mask. One mother asked for an extra snack for her child, flight attendant rudely said no. Same person came to us, I asked for one for my child as she was in the restroom. Flight attendant was extremely rude about it. She did eventually as I reminded her that she made my child walk to the back of the plane to use the restroom because she would not let her by. Finally landed, then the luggage got stuck. They couldn’t even give us the correct place where to get luggage. This is the short version of what all went on. My advice is don’t fly southwest until they get things in order. I personally would now give them a minus 100 as a score. This saddens me as we always fly southwest. Won’t anymore unless they make things correct. Buyers beware!

"extremely disappointed with this company"

Trip Verified | I am extremely disappointed with this company. I booked a flight last year, but due to COVID, the trip was cancelled. I booked a flight for myself using my rapid rewards points, which were reimbursed back to my account. I also booked a flight for a friend that was flying with me. Because the flight I booked for them was not in my name (because it was for someone else flying not me), they would not reimburse the several hundred dollar flight back to my credit card. Instead, they reimbursed the credit to the other person directly. Therefore, I was out money, and I couldn't even use the credit. I contacted the business and they refused to work with me even during COVID times. I had a lot of points from when I used to have their credit card, and was going to use them to purchase my ticket. I had just shy of what I needed for a round trip ticket, so I figured I would use all the points and pay the difference. Nope, can't do that either. I had to book the flight there with points and book the flight back with a credit card. So now I have about half of plain ticket worth of points in my account that I can't use because you have to have enough for the entire flight. You can buy points, but it's an astronomical amount for several hundred dollars. No thanks. I fly and travel a lot, and I will not be recommending them to anyone, nor will I fly with them again.

"Horrible experience both directions"

Not Verified | Our flight leaving Chicago was canceled without reason. We were rebooked automatically for the following day. That would not work for us, so we had to switch from O’Hare to Midway, only to be met with a six hour flight delay. Return flight, kept getting texts saying the flight was delayed. Then it suddenly wasn’t! We landed and had to sit there for over an hour to get off the plane. Horrible experience both directions. Never again.
