Qantas Airways

DRW-PER. Cannot fault Qantas on domestic flights. Often travel this route and service always fantastic with lunch and complimentary wine/beer. Food very tasty great entertainment on offer but watched my IPad instead. Crew always seem to enjoy their job and always prefer the extra leg-room seats. Only paid $179 for this flight absolute bargain.

PER - DRW. First stop Perth Qantas Club which was incredibly quiet due to being a Saturday morning. Love the pancakes and barista coffee. This flight always serves a cooked breakfast and the scrambled egg tortilla was great. Coffee seems to have improved on these flights and mini Anzacs are a nice little touch. Got great fares for this flight and would choose no other airline to fly.

QF 130 14/9/2013 Shanghai - Sydney. Sydney - Hong Kong 6/9/2013 QF 127. I have travelled with many airlines over the past 30 years. This was my first and last time with Qantas. Rude cabin attendants and very poor food. None of the 4 people around me could eat their breakfast.

QF81 Sydney-Singapore. Flight delayed 2 hours. Food took a long time to serve as by then passengers were hungry. No hot towel service or drinks and nuts service prior to main meal understandably due to the delayed service. My special meal order ignored - meal not loaded according to crew. Had to take what they were serving as so hungry by then. Small portion meals you can tell there is budget cuts. Hungry passengers later asking for food was only offered pretzels. Hot chocolate service without peppermint tea although it was mentioned in the menu card. Crew walked through quickly without paying attention to passengers as they did the service had to stop them to get coffee as they just chatted away in their own world while supposedly doing a coffee/tea service. Crew generally okay some better friendlier but there was a senior attendant who seemed unhappy to be on the flight - showing her displeasure with attitude like throwing things around on the trolley and not looking at passengers when serving. Overall it just an okay flight if you don't have any high expectations but when compared to SQ or EK they are just falling behind and not as polished.

MEL-SYD B767 and SYD- MEL A330 both in business class. Check in was smooth and the business lounge was great good selection of food and drinks and well trained staff. Both flights departed and arrived on time. The seating on the 19 year old B767 (1-2-2) was by far better that the new A330 (2-3-3). The crew on both flights were well trained and the service was excellent. A choice of meals and drinks was offered and tasted good. Had the new IPad (B767) and new touch screen (A330) entertainment systems and both had lots of choices and would keep you entertained for long flights let alone a 90 min hop to SYD. I recommend Qantas domestic Business.

I thought at first we would have a really cramped and uncomfortable 14 hr flight. I must say that even though the Economy cabin was crowded I did find that I had enough room to settle down and doze through the night. Very attentive cabin crew reasonably tasty meals and plenty of snacks and drinks through the flight.

Sydney to LAX. Great flight attendants at the airport were excellent. Flight attendants also very good ground crew that little bit better. Otherwise a wonderful flight there and back. Must say not one problem.

SYD-DXB-LHR-DXB-SYD. Recently did a return London flight in Premium Economy on an A380. Managed to score an exit row seat on the trip over and had the back corner on the way back - both were good. Try and always get a window seat if you can - the extra storage bin on the side is really useful. I was very satisfied with all aspects - friendly crew decent food good wine and I really like the small cabin. After walking through the huge Business Class cabin the Prem Econ cabin feels more intimate and much quieter. I am a big broad guy at 6'2 & around 100kgs and found the seat quite comfy and wide enough. It does not go flat (or close to it) but I was comfortable enough. Doing this trip annually in Business Class - usually on Middle Eastern airlines - I was quite happy to save the $3k-$4k and still have the benefit of fast boarding/check-in and a nice relaxing trip without the excess of a limo to and from the airport etc that you really pay for. If you can get a good deal on this fare like I managed to it is definitely worthwhile and it is good to see Qantas at the top of their game again.

30 Aug 13 Flight QF974 and 1 Sep 13 Flight QF973. Recently flew BNE-TVL return. Great flight and cabin crew were faultless snack meals both ways were very nice.

Just came back from Dubai today on Qantas QF001 in A380 on a code share flight with Emirates which was my original airline. This was the first time I had travelled on Qantas and would say that it was my worst experience watched the rudest flight attendants giving the worst of service to passengers. It was evident from their body language that they were not the least bothered about being polite to passengers. I am not saying that all of them were rude but most were. The food was pathetic and in the name of hot food only omelette was served and the quantity and quality of the food was not up to standard. I was stopped by one of the female attendants when I was trying to go into the toilet after standing in a long queue before the landing as they wanted to clean the toilet which was not required at that time as there was a long queue.
