Brisbane to Sydney on QF545. After experiencing rude ground staff and chaos on Jeststar on the journey up to Brisbane my children and I were quite pleased to be 'upgraded' to Qantas after our Jetstar flight was cancelled due to technical reasons. We were not allowed to have our boarding tickets printed until a hour before the flight but this was not Qantas' fault as they were waiting for Jetstar to provide then with the names of all the "bumped off" Jetstar passengers. It was a delight to fly Qantas the staff were welcoming and friendly very professional and the snacks ample but tasty. My 8 year old was given a child's pack to keep her distracted. The plane left and arrived on time.

Flew from Melbourne to Los Angeles. Seat extremely comfortable and reclined into fully flat bed. They give you a mattress that smoothes out any lumps and bumps in the seat. I was able to get about 7 hours sleep. There was so much legroom I could stretch my legs out as far as possible without hitting anything in front of me. The staff were relaxed yet professional. The lounge was a great place to talk to the people you are travelling with. The sleeper suit was very comfortable and the items in the amenity kit provided an excellent experience. The food was what you would expect in first class. Qantas will be my first option when I travel.

SYD-LHR 31 August in Business Class. A380 is a great aircraft to travel in. Plenty of choice on the IFE. Crew attentive and the food on Qantas is the best I've tasted of all four One Worlds I've travelled on in Business Class. Pleasure to eat the soups are wonderful and mains I've tasted are restaurant quality. But please Qantas don't cheat on desserts I like to have a choice there too and certainly not just ice cream. In addition the pick up service takes a lot of anxiety from the trip. Value for money wasn't relevant it was an FF ticket.

HKG to SYD 26 September. Late switch from A380 to 747 was disappointing and a worry I was about to cop a tilted flat seat. All fine it was a refurbished 747. Good crew IFE and great food (slow roasted lamb shoulder on couscous! And a real dessert not just ice cream.

QF767 on a B767-300. BNE-PER. Red-eye flight. Overall the service was good but I wasn't satisfied with the journey. My flight at BNE was supposed to depart at Gate 24 at 2005. Then there was an announcement that a different Qantas flight had been delayed and will depart from a new gate Gate 24 at 2000. Moments after they announced my flight has been changed to Gate 23 and is delayed by one hour. When we got on board the plane had not been refuelled and we sat for another hour. So that was a two hour delay. The cabin didn't smell very nice and the duvet/blanket needs to be washed. During flight however the service was great. The IFE was an iPad and it was actually very good. My dissatisfaction for this trip stems after contrasting it with the return flight I took with "Qantas' main competitor": they were on-time and managed to land in my destination 40 minutes early.

Jetconnect Qantas: This little Kiwi subsidiary of QANTAS does "across the ditch" only and we flew from SYD-WGTN then home AKL-SYD. The crew were without exception fabulous people on both flights. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was average seats appallingly tight and hard. I am 5'7in and my knees were pressed hard against the seat in front of me. The poor passenger next to me in the middle seat could not find enough room to eat his dinner so I leaned out into the aisle to help him with space. This however meant the flight attendants kept banging into me as they passed. They apologised profusely but the aisle was so narrow they couldn't help it. Even for 2hrs 45 mins this was economy at its most uncomfortable. Never again. I feel sorry for the crew working in such a narrow space.

Flew from BNE-MEL on a business upgrade award. The flight was delayed approximately 30 minutes due to late arrival of the flight deck crew from another flight but time was caught up in the air. The business product on the 737-800s was of the older variety with less comfortable seating and lack of inflight entertainment which were the only negatives. As always when Qantas service is good it is unbeatable. Excellent service for the full business cabin from the mature crew especially the CSM. When my travel partner asked for a lolly (to help with ear discomfort on ascent) the CSM gave him some vicks vapor drops from her own bag - and even gave him some more when we were descending which I thought was a really nice touch.

SYD-PER-SYD 8/9 October A330 QF575/582. The worst business class seats in the world. I have flown a lot lately for business and pleasure. Domestically (in Australia and abroad) and Internationally. These comments are specific to the A330 Sydney-Perth service that I've had to do several times now. I had need to fly to Perth for business and these comments take into account recent flights in the last 3 months on airlines as varied as LAN American Air Tahiti and Qantas. Today the excellent staff had to keep apologising for the lack of space on one of the most expensive sectors in the world. Welcome to coffin class - where you pay a fortune for the privilege of sitting in the most uncomfortable seats (and expensive) in the sky. Upright coffins. The passenger in front reclines into you. Your TV screen is at your side at lap level too close and in your face. I'm disgusted at the advertising - lie flat seats to Perth perhaps plain lies. Business class for bad backs forget it. The old 767s are far more comfortable. Domestically I've been loyal to Qantas but now it seems like TAA is back. That's Try Another Airline if you want comfortable business class seats to Perth.

I flew return to London from Sydney last month Qantas and Emirates. I chose Qantas for this trip as it was the most inexpensive option at the time of booking. I must say the staff were quite unpleasant though not so much so that you could complain. There was no drinks trolley no nibbles. A couple of hours or so after we departed Sydney the meal trolley came around and we were offered juice soft drinks tea/coffee or wine or beer with the meal only. That was it no tea/coffee trolley after the meal you had your wine/soft drink and coffee with your meal and that was it. Didn't see the staff until breakfast then. This was indicative of the lack of service. One passenger asked for a spare blanket and was told there were none and to put another jumper on. The seats also seemed "flimsier" than the other airlines I have used. I have not flown Qantas for years I gave up using them due to the rudeness of the staff which seems it has not changed. I must say that the meal were very nice though. This is probably the only good point I can think of. However if you want a budget airline service without the frills and don't want pleasant service then go Qantas!

Just returned from Amsterdam via Dubai on Emirates/Qantas code share. A Qantas ticket/Emirates plane and in late on 7th October. The staff who attended us seemed inexperienced inattentive delays with meals and served very close to landing. The two attendants seemed confused as to who had ordered what. Seemed like an economy service which is a shame given the cost for business class and as a frequent overseas traveller. Also a rude response from a male cabin attendant when waiting for the toilet some 3O minutes before landing as he was about to close/clean it? Could have redirected appropriately. Disappointing given flight over with Emirates had been excellent. Shame to experience uneven services!
