Stansted to Tampere on 8th August. My bag was deemed the "wrong shape" to be cabin baggage, so I had to
pay £50 to have it checked. Ground staff were rude and officious. When I boarded the plane there were at
least three bags being stowed that were much larger in dimensions and volume than mine. Is this a policy or
applied at the whim of discourteous staff instructed to make money from customers at all points of the
process? On board announcements were incomprehensible and delivered without expression, Staff looked and
sounded bored and disengaged. Not a smile among them. On the return journey, my bag was accepted as
cabin baggage!

Flew back from Malaga to Bristol yesterday. Outbound flight on 27th July all ok. On arrival at airport
yesterday found that we had an extra charge of 60 euros per person (£150 in total). This was due to me not
having printed out boarding pass for return journey. This is not very clear on initial booking procedure. Had no
option but to pay. Then we had the long process of other passengers tying to shift weight allowances
between bags, some not even being allowed to carry duty free purchases onboard after check in. Will
definitely avoid in future.

Liverpool to Majorca return. The flight out was very difficult. We were travelling as 2 friends with 2 children
aged 2 and 7. Firstly although you are allowed to cabin baggage, they make it extremely difficult for parents as
we needed to carry a 2 year old, a pushchair and also cabin bags down 2 flights of stairs to the tarmac and then up
a narrow staircase onto the plane. At no time did staff offer to help and it was only the good will of a fellow
passanger that we managed to get down the stairs. They do not board small children, which mean that our group up
sitting separated and they tried to allow the 7 year old to sit alone at the other end of the plane! On our return
flight it took 2 hours to check 1 bag in, there were 7 counters open. When boarding the plane my hand baggage was
checked a 2nd time (it was checked on check in for both weight and in the cage for size). Nothing had been changed,
nothing extra was put in the bag but miraculously it no fitted or went anywhere near the cage! The cabin crew were
adamant that i needed to check it in costing 50 Euro, luckily we had a spare bag which i transferred my clothes too
which enabled me to board the plane! However, I then had 2 cabin bags instead of 1, the only way I managed this
was to show that the 2 yr old had no hand luggage. When I boarded the plane the cabin crew asked if I could
transfer my clothes back to my other bag so that i only had 1 cabin bag as the plane was full. I do not recommend
this airline to anyone with children or anyone who to be spoken to like a human. I will in future stick to Easyjet
for short flights as I have never had any problems of this nature travelling with them.

Having done roughly 50 flights in my life, my Ryanair experience is my worst flight experience to date. About
the only thing that went right was that the plane took off and landed on time, but some of the main issues:
Rude and unhelpful staff from online booking to baggage check-in to boarding to in-flight. Overly pedantic
rules with extortionist clauses. No ability to upscale from 15 to 20kg before flight, even though when I
booked I had no option to select my desired weight. Having to open our bags to shift 3kg from the 18kg bag
to the 12kg bag is silly - the number of people we saw shifting weight at check-in is ridiculous. 135 euro per
extra bag on day of check-in! 20 euro per kg over! Our flights were about 80 euro each, the same as 4kg of
baggage! The reason for the price is obvious – to fleece you for money when you have no alternatives. No
seat selection, compulsory online check-in before. Customer service is non-existent and my overall impression
is that Ryanair are after your money with no care for your overall satisfaction. I would happily pay more to fly
other airlines.

Pisa to Prestwick on 08/08/2012. Hostile, rude girl in charge of the cabin. Very poor customer care skills
indeed. I am Scottish and so was she yet I couldn't make out any of her onboard announcements. All crew
on this trip were obviously programmed not to smile or be pleasant. Don't know why the captain even
bothered to make any announcements as they were completely inaudible. Not a pleasant trip at all because
of the cabin crew. Edinburgh to Pisa on 2nd aug 2012 was the complete opposite. Lovely smiling happy crew.

We flew to Rome from Stansted last week, and all we can say is disappointing. We did not have the facility
to print our boarding passes prior to getting to the airport, we were penalised £60 per person (£120) and
£100 for our bag = £220. The flight was ok, beverages on board are so expensive even for the smallest can
of cola. On our arrival at Ciampino, we decided to print our boarding passes for our return flight at the airport
by using one of their self check-in printing machines, that took about 10 Euros from us, asking us to pay an
additional £20 for our seats back and then still didn't print the passes. On enquiring if any of the Ryanair
staff could assist, we stood at the help desk for 20 minutes while two of them were having a conversation,
and the one took a personal call. They were not willing to help at all. Luckily we were able to print the
passes at our Hotel! First time and last time!

Luton To Marrakech. Had luggage checked at check-in - overweight so we took out some and put them in
hand luggage. The check-in lady didn't ask to weigh the hand luggage so we went ahead to security, luggage
scanned and through no problems. They started to measure and weigh hand luggage! They charged us £50's
for extra 3 kilo's. We were the last two to board the flight. We are disgusted by the cheap scam ways Ryanair
take money out of people. Poor customer service.

I was foolish enough to fly with Ryanair from Torp (which they call Oslo airport but is located almost 3 hours
away from Oslo) to London. I wanted to sit together with my girlfriend, but this proved impossible. One can
pay extra for priority boarding, but over half the people had done that, so the queue for priority was longer
than our queue! I'm used to Economy class being a bit cramped on other airlines, but this was something
else! Unhelpful cabin crew and a very late plane didn't improve my impression of things. The most annoying
thing is that if you look at the whole cost of flying Ryanair (luggage fee, huge travel distance from wherever
you land to whatever city you're going to etc) it actually often ends up cheaper with BA or some other proper
airline. I will never ever use Ryanair again. They really do their best to give the passengers the feeling that
they are just in the way.

OK if you don't mind sitting bolt upright, staring at a slab of bright yellow plastic while the crew constantly
peddle magazines, scratch cards, smokeless cigarettes, gifts and overpriced drinks. I overheard one
passenger order the breakfast bap and the flight attendant responded "you're braver than me". On the plus
side the plane was clean, on time and the crew friendly but overall a depressing experience - the tickets
weren't cheap. There is the constant hassle over the size of cabin baggage and the boarding area at Stansted
resembles a holding pen.

We have just flown back from Lanzarote and I must say we had no problems. Followed all the rules regarding
luggage even pre-booked seats, staff were friendly, flights on time just what we needed. If people choose
not to use the priority boarding then you will have a rush for seats, the option is there and well worth it.

We travelled from Birmingham to Malaga on 23 July on Flight 2156 at 17.35 arriving early in Malaga at 21.10.
Travelled back on 31 July at 08.00 arriving back in Birmingham 10 mins early at 09.40. We travelled with
wheelchair assistance for my wife and everything went like clockwork; all staff were extremely efficient, kind
and polite. Our seats were comfortable and had plenty of room. Would have no hesitation in booking with
Ryanair again.

Have used Ryanair to go to Fuerteventura and Berlin in the last 6 months. I have found them a great airline
if you read everything thoroughly and are prepared. They are good value for money, the planes are new and
the flights were comfortable. If you only have hand luggage then it's a cheap and easy flight with no hanging
about. Admittedly it can be a bit of a bun fight boarding the plane but surely it's the same as getting on a
train or a bus? I'll continue to use them.

My husband, son and I flew from Bournemouth to Rhodes. They charged us £420 on the return flight as we

Flight from Tenerife 28/7/12. What a shambles! Couldn't get my boarding passes printed on my home
computer system. Ryanair didn't accept this explanation at Tenerife South airport and charged me 180 euros
for 2 adults and 1 child's boarding passes. When I complained at their service desk I received a reply of "if
you want to board the flight then I suggest you pay." This company has no idea how to treat customers. I
felt completely devalued after a wonderful holiday. The flights weren't even that cheap.

Flew Malaga to Dublin with no issues. I myself have flown with them before without any issues. I can
understand passengers having trouble following the rules with Ryanair particularly if it is not their fault. eg
website issues, using different types of bag sizers at different airports etc. Ryanair are 100 percent
unforgiving full stop. I dont like reviewers saying " follow the rules and you will be fine. All airlines have rules
but the difference is they will help you deal with the problem, Ryanair wont, only to extract cash from you.
Fine for short trips. For longer trips use a different airline.

Luton to Lanzarote. Tried to check in online the day before departure, impossible to do so. A fault message
kept appearing on the website. Took a copy of the web page, informed the representative at the airport and
showed her the copy of the web page, she insisted that I had not been online, in other words I was a liar. I
had to pay £60 x 4. On my return I sent copies of the information to Ryanair, they sent me a copy of their
terms and conditions and said that the charges were justified. I travel worldwide on many airlines. I only
chose Ryanair because the flights suited other arrangements I had made. I had no problem booking or paying
for the tickets, but it is a different story trying to check in online. For our return journey, the hotel we were
staying at, after several attempts managed to check us in online. They told me that it is a common
experience with guests staying at their hotel. The first and last time I will travel with Ryanair.

MAN to Faro. Reserved my seat each way and it was the best thing I ever did. I was allowed to board 1st,
when the other passengers were allowed on it was a stampede so people could get seats together. I sat
watching stunned as tempers frayed when the plane was almost full. My biggest issue though is their
baggage policy (15kgs). Prior to leaving home I weighed my suitcase and it was 12kgs, when I arrived at the
desk it was 15.9kgs! Luckily I could move some things into my hand luggage. I have never been on a flight
where so many people have had to open their suitcases at check in to move items about as they were over
the allowance. I won't fly with Ryanair again as I don't trust them.

Just returned from Malta on Ryanair. We flew from Luton for the first time, which in itself was an ordeal!
Ryanair staff at Luton were rude and just had no way of speaking politely, even though I had a three year old
in a pushchair. They were obsessed with the cabin bag and made us put our carry on into the crates and then
didn't even look when we did. The reserved seat system is a joke - half of them were empty, after take off
everyone scrambles for seats and there is no easy way of getting onto a flight with a child without being
pushed or trying to scramble yourself if you want to sit with your family. The prices of the food are
ridiculous. Returning to Luton was just as bad. We were standing at the boarding gate for an hour and then
heard the flight was delayed. Still the same rudeness from staff. I would rather pay a full fare on another
airline and get what you pay for- comfort, luxury, a meal, baggage allowance! Definitely not travelling with
children under 5 on Ryanair ever again.

I frequently use them from Faro to Bristol and find them excellent. Providing you follow their rules which,
although slightly inconvenient, are designed to minimise cost and aircraft waiting times there are no
problems. Seating is much more comfortable than Monarch, Thos Cook or Thomson and the staff invariably
smart and cheerful. On my last trip I got exceptional service when on learning that I had a bad achilles
tendon problem, after speaking with the Captain, the purser allowed me to sit in one of the blocked off rows
so I could keep my leg up en route. I can only say to the moaners that they should check the Ryanair
regulations before leaving for the airport rather than complaining when they get there!

Flew Manchester to Biarritz and it was great. We paid online for a reserved seat and 20kg baggage and

STN-Bratislava return. Tried to comply with all the rules, yet even by doing so, the barcode on the boarding
pass didn't print and so had to queue for a reprint. Endless queuing, loads of hassle to buy stuff, cramped
seating - pretty miserable really, and not especially cheap. Neither is the food and drink on board. In fairness
getting on last on return journey paid off as they released seats at the front for us, and crew on return were
really friendly.

We flew from Bournemouth to Malta and back without any problem. We've been using this airline for over 10
years and apart from one cancelled flight, there have been no particular problems. Any difficulties we have
experienced have been caused by the airport operator not Ryanair staff. It never ceases to amaze me how
people can turn up without a boarding pass or with oversize/overweight bags. Apart from the instruction on
the web site, there is the e-mail notification before you fly. The carryon allowance is twice that of some
carriers, who of course also charge you for suitcases. Boarding is no different to getting on a train except that
you are certain of a seat and there's nobody standing in the aisle or sitting on the floor outside the toilet. If
you follow the rules, get on the aircraft and sit down, where's the problem?

My wife and I travelled from Tenerife to Edinburgh earlier this month and paid for the priority queue both
ways. The return flight was shown as boarding so we went to the desk and joined the long queue in the
priority lane unable to distinguish who was meant to be there and who was not. When boarding began, the
line was reduced to approximately 20 people so we passed through the gate and all was well until we went
to board the plane. We were stopped on the tarmac and the incoming passengers began to disembark and
the remainder of passengers on our flight were lined up behind the priorities. 20 mins. later standing in the
sun the tapes were removed and there was the mother of stampedes to board the plane with the youngest
and fittest winning the earliest boarding, not the priority group. We were further delayed by the need to
move disabled passengers to sit with their group. Pure chaos, with the cabin crew left to sort it out. Ryanair
must administer their policy or change it.

I flew to Karlsruhe Baden Baden on the 18th and back on the 19th. From walking into Stansted, until leaving
I have never had a worse flying experience. The cost was far from cheap, the check in was close to cattle
market quality, the flight was 50 mins late out of Stansted. The quality of the cabin crew was appalling,
English was, at best, a second language to most of them. I will never use this airline again.

Just returned from Palma Mallorca on flight FR8245 (21 Jul 2012). This was my return flight to Bristol. I had
booked priority boarding and reserved seats and although I got on the plane and had the seat I'd reserved
I was disgusted to find that I was expected to sit in the mess left by the previous passenger. The floor area
around the seat was full of litter and debris and had obviously not been cleaned. When pointed out to cabin
staff they seamed totally unconcerned and acted as if it was the norm. Discounted flights are acceptable to
everyone, although they discount prices but to compromise on cleanliness and expect people to travel in
filthy conditions is totally unacceptable.

We had booked flights to Faro for 8 July returning 15 July with BMI from Belfast but when they pulled out
Ryanair offered the best alternative value and timing. I was apprehensive remembering the "pay to use the
toilet" publicity at the time. In spite of our journeys being at peak times we cruised through Dublin airport
and all Ryanair baggage and boarding procedures without having pre booked seats. On return from Faro the
process was easier than previous experience with Easyjet.

Regularly fly to Palma and normally use Monarch but due to my friend being tied with work we booked with
Ryanair (more expensive flight) but timings were more suitable. My hand luggage was weighed at Liverpool
and was 8 kg. On the return at Palma it was not weighed but measured in a basket. The bag is exact
measurements for Ryanair so I adjusted the contents and waited at the back of the queue and watched as
the woman on the gate picked random passengers to check the bags with people carrying large holdalls on
and yet a woman travelling alone with two small children was made to pay £50 for a bag that like mine was
fine on the way out. With hindsight I now realise that it was my book in the front of the bag that was
causing the issue but with the woman threatening to close the gate if I did not hurry up I ended up taking my
handbag from the case and leaving it at Palma. Never ever again. They need to be consistent at every airport
they use and I believe its just a ruse to make more money from customers.

Third return trip with Ryanair (Nîmes to Liverpool and return third time) and still no real complaint. As long as
you read and follow all the rules everything goes OK. It took 1 minute to check-in at LPL and the flight was
trouble free. The most irritating thing is their false flying time statement: the schedule says FNI to LPL takes
2 hours but once on board the FA announces we'll reach our destination after a 1h 35 flight time. Annoying
they consider their passengers as stupid people.

Travelled LBA to Palma return, both flights relatively on time so no complaints there. Reserved seats for £10
and got row 2 outwards and row 1 return, both with extra legroom so money well spent. The flights were
cheap and once again Ryanair impressed me. You get what you pay for and on some occasions a little more.
If you read the rules and don't take advantage they are a good low cost airline - can't fault them so far.

Dublin to Edinburgh and back. The plane was about 75% full on both trips. So not paying to pre-board on a midweek
flight was smart. No problem from Dublin to Edinburgh. We already had our boarding passes but on the return we had
to wait in a long line of people checking in to have our passports checked against our boarding passes and stamped.
The Ryanair employee who checked our passport stated that if we wanted to buy anything from a merchant in the
departure section it would fly free no problem with the one bag rule. At the departure gate there was an Ryanair
employee walking around with a cardboard box checking bags sizes in addition to the metal bag check stand at the
gate. At Dublin Airport Ryanair has placed baggage size check stands at ticketing too. There was a commercial pay
one Euro weight scale nearby as well, although no one asked to weigh our small carry on bags. As we entered the
gate as we were entering the walk area to the plane a Ryanair female employee said we couldn't take the plastic bag
containing a couple of small items on board as it was an additional carryon. We advised her there were banner signs
at the Ryanair desk allowing for purchases made in the departure area and an Ryanair employee who said it was Ok as
we had purchased the items in the departure area. She said no and tried to make us jam the items in a small carry
on. Fortunately, a customer with a larger carry on was behind us and she became focused on her allowing me to
merely place the items under my coat and head for the plane. And what is with the redundant and constant passport
and boarding pass checks. First check at the Ryanair check desk, next check at the gate, another check while
boarding. Due to having to worry about size and weight of even small bags we would never fly Ryanair again. It just
isn't worth saving $50.00 to have to deal with these employees who can't seem to coordinate their effort. We will
pay the difference and enjoy ourselves rather than have to deal with some Ryanair employee trying to make an extra
dollar or two by finding our bag to big or to heavy. Plus having to listen to Ryanair employees try to constantly
sell you something during the entire flight of 50 minutes was annoying.

Originally booked Liverpool to Bergerac return. Shortly after, I was informed that the flight was cancelled and
would have to fly to another airport. Unfortunately, it was Limoges, and there was no flight on the same day
as the one to Bergerac. I had to fly out on the Sunday instead of the Saturday, and come back on a different
day. Because I had booked for six of us, everything was thrown into turmoil. When we returned to Limoges
last Friday, (13th) after having stood in the departure lounge for over one hour we were kindly informed that
the flight was cancelled, and in 20 minutes (actually 50 minutes) we would be bussed to Bergerac for the
flight home. We were told the cancellation was due to bad weather. When we got to Liverpool the weather
was twice as bad as in Limoges. A few weeks ago I flew with them, and the plane was only about three
quarters full, with nobody sat in the seats either side of the middle exits (no reserved notices on them). I
went to sit in one about half way through the flight, and after about ten minutes I was told in no uncertain
terms that I could not sit there, and must go back to my seat. I shan't be flying with them again. I don't like
the 'cattle truck syndrome' that's evolved.

Return flight from Luton to Fuerteventura. Luckily we were forewarned about need to comply with endless list
of rules - many of which are clearly there simply for money making means. Check in was a nightmare at Luton
- queued for over an hour with little progress then luckily 2 additional desks opened which meant we got
through to boarding with a few minutes to spare despite having arrived at the airport well over 2 hours before
departure. Return check-in was even worse. 3 desks open for 5 flights. No mention on the info board that the
queue we were in was also accepting early check-ins for a different flight and when we were still some way
back in the line but with less than 30 mins to go until our flight we finally managed to persuade the very
hassled and fraught looking girl on the desk to let us come to the front. It turned out most people in front of
us were there nearly 3 hours prior to their flight but were allowed to stand in the line and cause a far longer
queue than was necessary. No staff at all trying to sort queues out. Were in the queue with a young couple
who got caught by the lack of boarding pass fee of £60 each plus £120 for their bag all because they'd been
robbed. Flights were not too bad - you get a seat with reasonable leg room but nothing else at all. No pocket
on back of seat on front to store anything and with a max 45 min turn around there is no cleaning at all
between flights so you are entirely at the mercy of the previous seat occupant as to the condition of your
surroundings. Will never us Ryanair again - the reality is it costs as much if not more than a scheduled flight
with a reputable airline.

Travelled from Frankfurt Hahn to Malaga last week - first time on Ryanair in over 2 years. Everything went
smoothly, the plane arrived 20 minutes early, so no complaints. I can see how flying Ryanair can be
frustrating and more expensive than expected - but if you play along with their silly rules, you'll be fine. Since
I was travelling on my own and didn't care where I would sit, I didn't join the mad rush to the queue when
boarding was announced about 25 minutes before they actually opened the doors. I guess they want to make
sure that everybody is there by the time they start. Still got a decent aisle seat even though the plane was
virtually fully booked. Had a soggy sandwich and some sparkling water for 7.50€. Not worth it, obviously - but
I knew that before I bought it. Service was OK. I'd fly them again if their connections are decent and the
price is right. But if I had a choice, I wouldn't mind paying a little more and go with another airline to avoid
the hassle of beating their tricks.

I am a frequent flyer and take 15-20 flights a year. My experience with Ryanair is that if you expect to be
treated like cattle, that's fine but I don't. Half the staff can't speak English. Don't buy anything on board
unless you want to pay the earth for sub standard rubbish. Ryanair do not understand the meaning of
customer care.

I flew with Ryanair from Manchester to Palma and no wonder the flight are so cheap they soon make up for it
at the airport when I was flying out they charged me £60 because I didn't print my boarding pass off which I
didn't know about and then coming back they charged me 160 euro's because my luggage was overweight,
they only give you 15kg anyway.

Oslo Rygge - Barcelona return. Ryanair website: Had big difficulties buying tickets as website kept saying
that credit card was invalid (which was not the case). After trying for several hours, the order finally went
through, but prices had already gone up. Ryanair is also trying to trick you while buying your tickets. Website
has very bad layout and it is easy to do a mistake and include things like travel insurance, extra baggage etc.
even if you do not want to. In the end, Ryanair puts on an administration fee per passenger. So, the low cost
trip did not end up being so low cost after all. Comfort: Very bad comfort. Seats are hard, can not be moved
backwards and were not even cleaned after the last flight. No pockets to put your things in front of you. And
since there is no seat reservation, boarding is a complete chaos. Speakers onboard are loud and there are
constantly commercials being shouted out making it impossible to sleep. Staff: Unfriendly and impolite.
When boarding in Barcelona, the boarding personnel wanted to check hand luggage 2 times, making
passengers very annoyed.

We were flying from Verona into Stansted, London. Our plane was late nearly 4 hours, missing buses,

changed for another false explanation: the plane had major problems.

I travelled from Leeds Bradford to Palma with a cabin bag that met the Ryanair criteria. It fitted in the bag
drop at Leeds Bradford. On the return journey, my bag was refused and I had no choice other than to pay 50
Euros. The staff member screamed at me, was very rude and I felt humiliated at such treatment.

We decided to fly from Leeds Bradford as it was a cheap alternative than Newcastle! We arrived early and sat
at a monitor waiting for the gate number to come up, we made our way to the Departure lounge, we went
straight to the front and stood at the sign 'queue here for gate 7'. After waiting to be told to move forward to
board for nearly an hour my partner approached a member of staff to be told the flight was taxiing and we
had missed it. Not once had we heard any call for this flight. It was only when we approached staff. We
believe they boarded early or the monitor was delayed as it was impossible for 180 passengers to board in
less than half an hour. We ended sleeping in the airport until the next flight with which we had to pay £211
for another flight out with jet2.

My family and I have just returned from holiday in Tenerife. On the return flight to make it a bit easier on the
family (6 adults) we decided to get priority booking at £6 each. By the time we got everything we noticed the
plane was already boarding at 11.05 the time was now 11.10 - were late to the gate only to find the priority
lane closed so had to wait at the end of the queue. When we got to the gate I asked why the priority lane
was closed, I was given an abrupt - we called the flight. Took off in separate seats to find 12 seats empty.

Why on your outward trip does your hand luggage go straight through without no problem, then on the way
back they weigh it, measure it and then say it will cost £100.00 pounds to check it in, even when what is in
the bag is the same as is was in the morning.

Be aware - if you are going for more than 14 days - printing boarding pass the day before you travel will only
print the outward passes! You will you will need to find an internet cafe to print the return passes out - a
somewhat cynical approach to catch unsuspecting first time Ryanair customers. There is no reason for this
printing limitation as they know from the booking when you are returning. If you, like us, had no internet
access abroad you end up 60 euros per person worse off.

My boyfriend and I flew to Budapest last week and Ryanair was a nightmare. We did everything by the book,
it was the boarding and flying that was appalling. For starters with no allocated seats people queue from the
minute the gates listed so they can sit together. You have to rush and race other people to get your space,
it's worse than a theme park. Staff are so rude and abrupt I don't think I had a smile once. When we got on
the plane we couldn't sit together, we found separate seats but couldn't find any space for our bags. The air
stewards kept walking past and I kept trying to ask them for help but they stuck their noses in the air and
ignored me! When I did finally get attention my bag was snatched up and taken all the way down the plane,
I had to get up and find it so I could take my valuables out.

Took my 18 year old daughter and her friend to Bristol airport where they were told that they had to pay £60
each because they only had a flight confirmation and no boarding pass which we thought would be picked up
at airport. Their names were on the flight list but Ryanair still demanded the £120. On the way home from
Palma airport their hand luggage was classed too big before they boarded their flight. Bristol airport passed
the cases as within the requirement size but Palma airport seemed to pick on the young girls who are naive
and knew they would panic and pay. I am disgusted and would advice future customers to think twice before
booking this so called cheap, no frills flight. The girls had to pay £110 each, more than the initial booking
payment.

I took my two teenage sons to Stansted (flying to Patras). I had pre-booked hold luggage (£60 each) and
checked in on line, printed off boarding pass - my only mistake was that I accidentally printed off two passes
in the first passengers name (leaving no printed boarding pass), I realised this as we arrived at the airport. I
felt like an idiot and imagined I would have to pay extra for printing of boarding pass at check in desk. We
had arrived with plenty of time but there were far too many customers needing to check in for the amount of
staff, time was very short by the time we were seen - only to be told I had to go the ticket sales desk first. I
fought my way through crowds to find the one supervisor, told him the situation - he came 'to help' and got
us seen next. I was then told I had to pay £60 to print off the boarding pass and then to top it all I asked
the supervisor where they should then take their hold luggage to be told 'oh you will have to pay an extra
£50 each'. I understand I made an error in not printing off 2nd child's boarding pass - but I also paid the price
for them being understaffed so badly that everyone was struggling to get checked. A month ago I travelled
with easyjet from Southend - fantastic all round.

If your bag does not fit, you pay, if you do not book in online correctly and print your boarding cards
incorrectly, you pay. They are cheap, you get what you pay for. I have never been delayed, I have flown with
them 6 times. I did see a woman with 2 young children upset because they could not sit together, she should
have booked seats. We do not pay for the seats, we just go to the boarding gate and queue early.

At the booking stage they charge for some admin fee which is just a ploy to make more money. They make it
so hard to remove all extras. I did opt for speedy boarding which was a joke as there was no difference in
people who paid for it and for those who did not! My son needed to go to the loo and the air hostess decided
that they would be landing soon and before the seat belt light came on, said he couldn't go. Eventually she
relented. Finally, although I wasn't involved with this, I saw plenty of passengers being charged 50 euros for
their luggage on their return flights, frustrated as it was the same suitcase used in their outward flights.

Flying from Ibiza to Madrid with a friend, we had a terrible experience at Ibiza airport. The staff at the gate
were extremely aggressive, bad-mannered showing no skills to handle their job. After quickly verifying that
my bag didn't fit in their frame (due to some shopping I had made at the airport) I promptly said I would pay
for it. Even with my total acceptance, their attitude was nasty and unacceptable. The story goes further when
a young lady in front of me with a small trolley was able to fit it in after paying for it. She was quite clumsy
at her first trial and with my comment she decided to try again and obviously it fit it in perfectly. She asked
for her money to be returned. No was the only answer. People were pushed back, shouting and threats to call
the police were the following steps. The small trolley was sent with the other bags. Since when did we need
to pay for being treated with respect?

Ryanair can be quite annoying and getting much more expensive than you originally thought it would be.
They are really cheap and this might be the reason why they have to be very careful everything is 100% to
their rules. Make sure you have considered all details and small print of your booking, or you might risk to
have to pay fees. Typo in your first name? Or did you dare to use your initial for your first name? You need to
pay for a name change (can't remember - was around EUR 60). However, they print your first name initial on
the boarding pass to save paper and be able to offer more great cheap flights. For every loop (the check-in
usually requires a couple of loops) there will be a specific service counter, please calculate some wait for
queuing. Remember - should you miss your flight to unlucky circumstances, you will have to buy a new ticket.
I can not recommend this airline, it does not feel value-for-money at all. If you want to travel cheap, make
sure you read and respect all of the small print!

I had a great flight between Gatwick to Kaunas and back last week. Why? Because I strictly followed the
strict luggage rules, booked a good seat in advance, and stuck to the online instructions about printing
boarding passes in advance etc. I think many of the whining passengers are the ones who expect 5 star
attention, for a 1 star price, and try to buy duty frees at the airport, which they cannot fit in their cabin
luggage. The plane was clean, the staff enthusiastic, the flights on time, both ways. Well done Ryanair for
bringing cheap flights to hard pressed consumers and for trying to instil some discipline into passengers, who
have been spoilt with their overweight nonsense, for far too long by other airlines. If you treat Ryanair fairly,
they will also treat you fairly.

Myself and my family used Ryanair to fly to Tenerife on 23/06/2012. At the check in desk the clerk advised
that some of our boarding passes which we had to print ourselves were useless and she then disposed of
them behind her desk. Upon our return flight from Tenerife the check in staff told us we did not have
boarding passes and refused to listen as I tried to explain the issue on our outbound flight. We were then
practically held hostage by Ryanair staff until we paid them 180 Euros for three boarding passes. I have
complained to Ryanair but have not received a response.

Very bad experience with Ryanair who charged me a fee for their web site problems that did not allow me to
check-in in time. Unfair fee cost us more than the ticket and there was no way to solve the problem with
telephone calls. At the airport Ryanair staff gave me all the responsibility and with a bossy attitude
suggested I try another company if I am not able to check in online. I was traveling with a minor and their
check in procedures for entering children ID data are not clear. Flying with Ryanair was a terrible experience
that cost me twice than expected with a very poor service.

My family consisting of 2 adults ad 3 children have used Ryanair many times over the past few years. Having
read some of the negative comments left on here, all I can say is that if you choose to ignore the clearly
published and reiterated rules and money saving procedures, you have no-one to blame but yourselves! If
you don't check-in for both journeys online then yes, you will pay dearly, if you don't ensure your hand
luggage fits within the maximum size stated then yes, you will pay plenty to put it in the hold. If you have a
single bag that exceeds the weight specified then yes, you will be charged extortionate fees. But none of
these facts are hidden. The only negative point I would make is that if you're at the back of the boarding
gate queue and the flight is full, you're unlikely to get to sit together as unless you pay for priority boarding,
it's first come first served. But even this can be turned into an advantage on a flight with seats to spare, on
many occasions I have had a row of 3 seats to myself and one of my kids. Before I discovered Ryanair we
were a 1 holiday a year family, now we have.

We endured the very same experience at Palma on our return flight from Mallorca. Aggressive and rude is how
I would describe the Ryanair staff at the gate. And again I have to say the experience ruined the holiday for
us as well. The attitude was horrible, €50.00 demanded if your bag did not fit in their frame, and then the
bag still accompanied you onto the plane anyway. Non-stop sell all the way back on the plane from
smokeless cigarettes to scratch cards to breo watches, it was relentless. They may offer cheap flights but
when you pay an extra €50.00 for a bag you may as well travel with a better airline and at least be treated
with courtesy. Ryainair make million in profits but offer no service whatsoever. Some people will defend
Ryanair stating that if you follow the rules etc, well wait until you get this treatment after you have followed
their rules and see how you feel about them then ! This was my second and last time to use Ryanair.

I live in the UK but am from Ireland and travel with Ryanair several times a year. They are not the nicest
airline in the world, but after flying 30 odd times with them over the last 5 years I can say I've never had a
horrific time, I've only been delayed twice and both times was due to bad weather. The staff are generally
borderline when it comes to manners. Yes they charge if you don't check in online, yes they weigh and check
bags at the gate, yes they will try and sell you everything onboard, but if you've no checked bags and don't
care were you sit they are value for money. Would I fly long haul with Ryanair? Most likely not but for short
London to Dublin flights they're grand.

I travelled with Ryanair with four family members from East Midlands to Palma, two people in our party paid
for 15kg of luggage to go in the hold, three of us took 10kg of hand luggage on board without any problem.
All the hand luggage was within the stated size. On our return flight my son was told his luggage was too big
to go in the cabin although it was the same case he took out and still weighing under 10kg this was as we
were boarding the plane, not at check in. He was then told he must pay 50 euros before he could fly home,
completely spoilt his holiday, thanks Ryanair.
