JFK to TRV roundtrip. Check-in line at JFK was very long (seems to be the case with most airlines dealing with a lot of India-bound passengers) - I got there 4.5 hours in advance of departure and I was still around #50 in line! Anyhow, the check-in agents got to their positions 4 hours sharp before departure, and once they were in position handled the crowd very quickly and efficiently - a world of difference from US airlines and their "check-in kiosk" nonsense. I managed to get exit row seats all the way to India, but a word of warning: make sure your carry-on weighs less than 7 kilograms, they are strict about weight limits. But even with a carry-on within limits I still had trouble at Doha when trying to board my connecting flight to India. A gate agent made anyone carrying more than a purse or briefcase check their carry-ons, no exceptions. I don't know what the issue was, I wasn't pleased giving up my carry-on with fragile valuables but they wouldn't budge - not even when I told them it was within weight limits and had been carried on board the flight from JFK. But apart from the carry-on nonsense the rest of the flight was OK. Food from JFK to DOH was a choice of two Western entrees and one Indian vegetarian entree. My breakfast choice was not memorable but not horrible either. They had turkey and veggie wraps available on request between the meal services, along with Ben & Jerry ice cream. The AVOD entertainment was excellent - tons of international cinema and music. The flight crew was mostly from the Indian Subcontinent as seemed to be around 95% of the passengers. DOH airport is a little sad for a major international hub - small and antiquated, but okay for a 1-2 hour layover like mine. DOH-TRV was interesting - they had only Indian food available, and when they got to my seat they claimed they were completely out of the chicken curry entree and only had the Indian cottage cheese entree - when I informed them I was lactose-intolerant a chicken entree appeared. I still wonder why they claimed they were totally out of chicken? But all this is of little importance, given that the flights were on time and bags arrived intact, even my precious carry-on that they confiscated at DOH!

FRA-DOH-HKG return. My first time on Qatar Airways. FA's friendly on all four flights, the Captains announcements helpful. Space for legs was very big, there were two meals served on each flight. Passengers always got menu cards before and the food was excellent. Inflight Entertainment Program was also good, although movies were not really up to date. All in all four great flights aboard Qatar Airways.

CGK-MAN via DOH. Difficult to find fault. Excellent food and plenty of it, comfortable seat and on time for all segments. This time around there was no scrum at security while transiting at DOH which marred previous flights on this airline.

LHR-DOH-COK return. LHR-DOH on an A330 which was clean, seats very comfortable, IFE was excellent /variety of movies, games and music to choose from. Cabin crew very friendly and helpful, the food lacked in quantity. DOH-COK on a smaller A321, flying time was 4 hrs. Aircraft didn't had personal IFE however it had an overhead screen on which movies were played throughout the flight - food was very good on this flight. Cabin crew was not as friendly as on LHR to Doh flight. COK-DOH-LHR, a 10 hour stay in Doha was tiring but we used the Oryx lounge. DOH-LHR was an A330, again with excellent IFE and food very good. Cabin crew professional and helpful. Overall a very good experience with Qatar.

JFK-DOH-KHI-DOH-JFK with 2 young babies. JFK-DOH-KHI was a truly 5 star experience. Doha airport is inconvenient for passengers with young children; there are no gateway bridges here. Passengers must deplane from the stairs and take a bus to the terminal. KHI-DOH was empty on a B777. The food and in-flight entertainment was great on all the flights.

LGW-DOH-BKK Return. Happy with reasonably priced Economy class on this route on Qatar Airways. Good connection times in Doha, seat pitch was acceptable on the 3 legs on A330 aircraft, but outstanding on 1 leg DOH-BKK which was on new spotless and extremely spacious feeling 777-300 aircraft with fantastic mood lighting. Useful amenity kits on night time legs containing eyeshades, earplugs, socks and toothbrush etc. Ground staff and crews on board efficient and friendly even though some legs busy. Food plentiful and good in general with wide range of complimentary drinks. IFE great - wide choice of films etc. more limited choice on A330 but best on new 777-300 widescreen with double the content. Only negatives were that I didn't like the enforced nightime window blinds being pulled down halfway through the LGW-DOH leg (flight departed at 10.15am!) and also had an issue with online check-in on the outward leg with system not allowing me to select seats. Generally highly recommended however.

IST-DOH-SIN, PEK-DOH-IST. Flew on A319LR, A321 and A330-200 - perfect, new and clean airplanes. Top notch service and food. Beautiful and helpful flight attendants. Fly Qatar, you won't regret it.

Business class DAC-DOH-ARN and return. Good service, helpful staff. On the night trip back from Doha to Dhaka no night kit. Would have appreciated that in the morning. Food medium plus, drinks excellent.

LHR-DOH-BKK and return Their Economy class is far superior than Thai, Qantas, BA and Eva Air. You will not be disappointed with the food, service or inflight entertainment. Was impressed with the young fleet of aircraft, A340-600 LHR-DOH and A330-300 DOH-BKK.

HKG-DOH-MAN. Staff were competent, professional and friendly. The food was the best I've had on airlines. The seats were comfortable - hard to believe their pitch is only 32 inches. Entertainment IFE system also worked well and provided great choices of films.

LHR-DOH-HKG return. Upgraded on return to Business. It was my second time with Qatar and again I was not disappointed. Service in both classes excellent with good food and great entertainment. Only disappointment on the return was the Premium lounge which when arrived from HK it was very busy. By midnight it was getting quieter but they started closing areas and yet we still had a couple of hours to wait.

MAN-DOH-HKG return. Good economy product, clean cabins, above average food, flight attendants on all sectors extremely professional and friendly. Two hour connection in Doha about right for a good leg stretch, 8hr stop-over on return, used Oryx lounge which was pretty much empty. Overall impressed and would use again.

MAN-DOH-HKG return. Upgraded DOH-HKG on points. Service and food excellent in both classes. The same crew was on the return from HKG as took me out and, as I travelled out J class, there was consternation when I turned right into economy on the return flight. FA went to great pains to ensure that I hadn't been seated in the wrong section. The service is beyond expectation and needs to be experienced.

Really good comfort and service on board even if with economic class - best economy class for Qatar Airways is deserved. Good quality and quality of meal. Cabin crew is nice. Comfort on seat is good, lots of service on personal TV screen and place for legs is good for an economic class. Good Doha port of call. Not bad things to say.

FRA-DOH-DXB return. I chose this airline because of its good reputation so my expectations were quite high. Staff at check-in in FRA lethargic. Fortunately the crews onboard all my flights was very attentive - great service. Aircraft on all legs very clean and seemed to be quite new - my IFE on FRA-DOH and DOH-FRA did not work. Food and presentation was ok but nothing special.
