23 April 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
LGW-DOH-BKK return in April 2008. The check in at LGW was easy, friendly and efficient. Boarding
was simple. The plane was great. IFE was excellent, about 100 films and many other things to do.
There were blankets and pillows for everyone. Catering was good, two meals on each leg. Alcohol
free and easy to access. Doha is a bit of a downer, over ten UK pounds for four teas! The cabin
staff were good and helpful. They were very busy and I can see why comments were made. I would be
very happy to fly with Qatar again and would recommend them.

FRA-DOH-BKK return, a bit of a mixed experience. On the plus side, punctuality of flights, decent
entertainment system and the good and generous inflight catering. Seating average, as with most Y-
class long-haul configurations these days. Crew on most legs robotic, and the minimum of contact
with passengers. Flight staff was better than the ground staff in Doha, which was useless and even
rude. Doha airport is a joke. Since most of the flights to the East with QR involve long layovers,
you have no other choice than hang around at Doha airport or leaving the airport after buying a EUR
15 one-day visa to leave the airport and spend it in an hotel.

IAD-DOH. Impressed the check-in counters open almost 5 hours prior departure. Check-in smooth and
once onboard the smiling airline crew were great. AVOD is one of the best - over 700
music/television programs. The food was good and plentiful - disappointed the cabin crew did not
come around more during the evening to check-up on passengers needs. As for duty fre, I heard no
announcements made. Overall one of the better airlines in the world.

Berlin-Doha-Berlin. Very good experience. staff friendly. IFE superb on Airbus A330. good choice.
only disadvantage: some routes operated by Airbus A319. this aircraft is not up to standard. no
personal IFE.

LHR-DOH-AUH Economy. Another good flight from Qatar Airways, nice food, AVOD, nice staff. Having
flown this airline for a number of years what strikes me is the consistency of their offering -
unlike some of their competitors in the gulf region. Terminal 3 Heathrow also seems to be improving!
10 minutes to get through security, but lack of space to sit in the airside shopping mall (sorry, i
mean departure lounge). Nice new concourse outside T3.

Manchester - Doha - Bangkok Return. Business class. We've flown Qatar Airlines before and have found
the service and the experience to be very good. However, this time MAN-DOH was as usual superb.
Second leg. I really can't describe how awful it was. My seat and the one next to me were loose. As
it was, the seat would not stay reclined, I can go on. The service from the FA's was not up to the
usual standards either. The return legs were back to the normal standards. The Kiwi flight director
was professional.

FRA-DOH-HKG return Economy. The service on board, IFE and crew were all outstanding. Only one catch:
Check-in took more than in hour both in FRA and HKG, which is way too much. The aircarfts were new
or well maintained and seat space was good - even for me with a height of 193cm. Food onboard was
good and plenty, though drink selection was not 5-star and the offering throughout the flight was
not that frequent. Requesting a drink, though, was no problem whatsoever. Crew very friendly and
tried to help as much as possible. The flights were all almost fully booked. Stopover in Doha,Qatar
is not very exiting as the airport is small and food/entertainment choices are limited. Free
internet stations are available though. Duty free is cheap for alcohol and tobacco products.

LHR-DOH-CMB Return. Business class. It would be better if the seats were flat bed and not lie flat,
but still managed to get a decent sleep. Food was excellent on all legs and FA's attentive without
being obtrusive. DOH to CMB was by A321, which had the old style seats and no PTV. All in all a very
pleasant experience, will definitely fly Qatar again

SIN-DOH-ATH return. Overall, a pleasant experience with Qatar Airways. No on-seat inflight
entertainment system in A330-200 on the DOH-SIN leg, which is considered a medium haul journey.
Availability of certain beverages were limited (eg. Milk). Otherwise, it would be an excellent
rating for Qatar Airways.

DOH-SGN-DOH. I don't know what the secret to getting upgrades on Qatar is but we seem to possess
it. On an earlier flight to the US we were booked economy class and were upgraded to business. On
this trip, I asked at check-in in DOH if we might get upgraded and after being asked to wait 10
minutes, got the free upgrade. On the return, I requested an upgrade in the same manner at the
ticketing area but was declined. However as we were going through the gate, we were given new
boarding passes to the business class. The service and equipment were awesome. After having flown QA
now many times, I do not look forward to having to use other airlines.

23 March 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
BKK-DOH-DME BUSINESS CLASS. I thought the food and wine selection was excellent. However it needs
business class seats that fully recline. The seats on both legs did not - DOH-DME didn't even have
a personal TV. Generally, I thought the cabin service was very good, but not near Singapore
Airlines. The transfer from plane to terminal in Doha was excellent - the bus was a 12-seater and
everyone got a seat. The lounge was minimalist, but well equipped with friendly and efficient
staff. The best part was excellent connections - only 90 minutes in Doha before going on to Moscow.

13 March 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
MAN-DOH-CPT Economy return. This was my 12th return flight with Qatar on this route since it was
introduced in 2005. As usual the flight was faultless, aircraft modern and seating comfortable with
ample legroom. The ground staff and cabin crew excellent, food and IFE superb. HOWEVER, Qatar has
now changed it's schedules making it impossible to fly from MAN to CPT unless you wish to endure a
total journey time of at least 25 hours on the way out and 37 hours on the return journey with no
hotel accommodation being offered for the long stop-overs in Doha. This is at the same time that
Emirates introduced a direct flight DXB to CPT with easy connection for pax from MAN. Come on Qatar
rethink the schedule change on this route. Some of us would prefer to fly Qatar! This is not a good
example of the way an expanding airline treats it's regular passengers.

7 March 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
DXB-DOH-IAD. DXB-DOH in First, DOH-IAD in Business. The service is outstanding, but what sets Qatar
Airways apart is the quality of the catering - the best overall standard of airline meals in
international business class I have experienced. Good food and plenty of it. Very large AVOD screen
to help pass the time. The only real disappointment was that, as a previous reviewer noted, the lie-
flat seats I had heard would be introduced on the DOH-IAD leg are not yet lie-flat. Nonetheless, I
was able to sleep comfortably. Premium Terminal in Doha was nice, but for business class amounted to
essentially a very large business class lounge in a separate terminal. Still, it is a better place
to spend the connection than the main terminal.

28 February 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
KWI-DOH-MNL return Y class. KWI-DOH on A320, aircraft clean and tidy, announcements from flight
deck and cabin crew a little perfunctory, but adequate. DOH-MNL A330: again, interior of aircraft
very presentable and washrooms kept clean throughout a 9-hour flight. AVOD extremely wide choice,
although poor headsets degrade the quality of the sound. Catering imaginative, a choice between
Arabic and Filipino dishes. Cabin crew worked hard on a full flight. Return flights similar to
outward flights. Only comment is that the cabin crew tend to operate in a very mechanical fashion,
rather than being naturally warm and friendly. Overall, an impressive offering for a Y cabin, and
transiting through Doha is a reasonably quick, pleasant experience, although all flights are on
remote stands, and the buses to the transit terminal sometimes take a rather scenic route. I can
see why the airline is ranked as 5-star.

Washington-Bahrain-Jeddah-Washington via Doha in Business. Washington-Doha sectors in new
B777-300s. Excellent food, service and space, though seats were not fully flat - though I understand
the plan is to install full-flat seats. Premium terminal in Doha is the best I've seen anywhere.
Less impressed with the product on the Doha-Jeddah sector - somewhat dilapidated A340-300 and flight
attendants who failed to pre-empt the surge of economy pax through business class upon arrival in
Jeddah. Still an excellent product and my first choice to the Gulf.

26 February 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
AMM-DOH Economy Class. A relatively short flight, at about 2.5 hours. Despite it being quick, the
professional cabin crew managed to hand out menu cards, hot towels, do a proper meal service -
including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks service - and smile throughout. It was fairly full
cabin, so they needed to work quickly, but I sensed they enjoy their job. The fit-out on the
A340-300 was a bit tired, and while there were PTVs, these were not on-demand and mine flickered on
many of the looped channels. I liked the configuration of two-seats on the outside of each aisle.
Landing at Doha, followed by a short bus ride, quick immigration check, and luggage waiting when we
arrived at the carousel made it a breeze to get out of the airport - pity about the Doha evening
traffic from there on!

LGW-DOH-BKK return in business. LGW-DOH segment excellent on A330-300, business class cabin about
50% full, service very attentive, meals excellent. AVOD ws working and had a great selection of old
and new films, TV programmes and music. On arrival into Doha, all business class passengers were
bussed to the Premium terminal. Only had an hour transfer time and premium terminal very quiet.
Boarded the dreaded A340 and was shocked with the difference - our seats did not recline much and
footrests could not be raised. The purser who appeared embarrassed by the situation and allowed us
to sit in row 2 (First class cabin not sold for this flight). Unfortunately the service was slow and
we were never asked if we would like breakfast although we had woken up 1.5 hours out of BKK. BKK to
DOH, we also had this aircraft - this time some seat controls had the buttons missing with 2
plasters covering the holes. However the service was much improved, the purser informed us that this
aircraft was only going to be in service for another month. DOH-LHR was on their own A340 and we
were back to the 5* service and amenities.

LGW to Doha to Cochin; Trivandrum-Doha-LHR Business Class. Flight from LGW on A330 and return from
Doha to LHR on A340. Both flights fine with attentive staff and good food and wine. The seats were
slightly uncomfortable - seat is not that wide and when in the sleep position feels narrow. Sleeping
on one's back is the only option. Doha to Cochin and return from Trivandrum on A320 - seats were old
fashioned business class seats. There was a Bollywood movie playing all night on the small drop down
screen which disturbed sleep. On the return flight to Doha, I asked to see one of the films on
offer. I was brought a portable DVD player. Unfortunately, the socket on my seat didn't work, so it
had to be plugged into the adjacent seat, which caused problems for that passenger. Broke down twice
so the DVD player had to be changed. We were given breakfast, a bottle of water, and no amenity
kits on flight from India, not even socks and a mask.

LHR-DOH-KUL-DPS return (LHR-DOH 1st Class). Asked for upgrade on way out, even though only a silver
card holder was told no. Upon boarding, was told had been upgraded from Business to First. Pleasant
surprise and very good service and top rated food. FA’s were excellent, as on all but DPS-KUL leg,
though this was a night flight. Food excellent, though we didn’t really want to eat on some of the
night flights. Offered lots of juices, water etc and constant top ups of any beverage, inc alcohol
going on. IFE excellent. Agree with entry that United lounge at LHR is a bit boring and sparse, but
found lounge at DPS a very pleasant surprise even if we didn’t get invites and had to spend a few
minutes talking to the lounge concierge. Agree with that departure at DPS 00:12 was a pain, as is a
long touch down/change over at KUL. A340-600 on DOH-LHR leg with excellent crew who couldn’t do
enough. Got tour around 1st class bar area. I always notice more effort put in by crew and in fleet
choice on London – Doha legs. Overall, QR met and exceeded my expectations, mainly by food, crew
and fleet condition.

LGW-DOH-BKK Economy. My second trip to Bangkok in the last two months, my first with Qatar Airways.
An excellent product and I highly recommend. On both legs a modern A330 was used with good seats and
leg room, seats had pull down footrest and headrest wings that could be bent forward to lay your
head on when trying to sleep. The food was better than I have had on some business flights and
flight attendants friendly and professional. Doha airport terminal for transfer was without pain and
a pleasant place to stay.

7 February 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
CPT-JNB-DOH-LHR business class. Check in at Cape Town very quick, and lounge services more or less
adequate, as Qatar shares the standard lounge used by many other airlines. Attention and service
from flight attendants above average and very efficient. Inflight entertainment choices were
plentiful, and food ranged from decent to slightly bland. Transfer to the Premium Terminal in Doha
was very confusing, as the driver even had problems communicating to business class passengers that
they should stay onboard after the first stop to the standard terminal. Once there, however, it was
quite a treat, with the most luxurious interior of any lounge I've ever seen. Food and amenities of
high quality, though alcoholic beverages were a bit sparse. DOH-LHR was the same aircraft in a
3-class configuration, but the business class service did not falter. Overall, Qatar Airways is a
solid, high-quality airline; however, despite a high degree of luxury, the airline seems to lack the personal, individualized touch that 5-star
airlines should have.

FRA-DOH-CMB in F/C. Excellent service on the FRA-DOH flight (A330), only passenger in F cabin, so
service top notch. Premium Terminal in Doha wonderful, ambient and not too crowded on my 4 hour
stay. Aircraft change to CMB instead of 2-class they took 3-class equipment, to settle down Business
passengers into First Class, Business Class stayed without pax. Service efficient and very good,
although the flight attendants could be a bit more caring. Arrival a bit late in CMB but all the way
good flight experience on QR. I can't see any changes in the service quality of the 5* Airline Qatar
Airways.

BKK-DOH-CDG return Business Class. This was my fifth or so flight with Qatar on that route and my
first disappointment. The A340 used DOH-BKK is a trip back in time - old with the most uncomfortable
Business class seats, hardly any recline, minuscule PTV screens. main movie playing all night on the
main cabin screen, making it impossible to sleep. My seat was taped together and the footrest was
broken. The first two rows are actual first class seats but seem to be reserved for QR staff. Other
legs were as good as usual, ex Cdg excellent.

a nice place to spend a few hours. DOH-KUL on A332, overnight flight but service levels still good.

22 January 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
LHR-DOH-KHI-DOH-LHR route. Its the second time I have tried this route and the first time. This time
it was not quite up to the mark. The ground handling agents never gave the seats I had marked well
in advance on both legs, missed a tight connection in DOH on the way back and again struggled with
the ground handling to get boarding passes. Also had problems getting the meal options. However,
despite this, Qatar is still the best economy class I have flown by a distance. The staff are
extremely courteous and friendly and the aircraft are extremely comfortable and well cared for. Its
a great airline, which was even better earlier.

CDG-DOH-NBO return Economy class. CDG-DOH return on the new Airbus A340-600, very comfortable and
ample leg room. Food and service very good. DOH-NBO was on older Airbus. The legroom was very
cramped and when the seat in front is reclined you really feel it is in your face - seat rows 12 and
14 do not recline as they are in the emergency exit areas. Food and service good, although some of
the FAs grasp of English was not too good! Transit through Doha no problem - certainly worth paying
to use the Al Maha Services (reception on ground floor of arrival hall) to have access to the Oryx
Lounge and get fast tracked through the security screening. I Would fly with Qatar again but would
check which aircraft is used on each sector.

FRA to MAA via DOH return, Business Class. Check- in at FRA okay, airport itself is as usual
uncomfortable at all levels. First leg to Doha (A332) smooth and on time. Very profesional and
friendly crew on board. Premium Terminal in Doha quiet nice to relax for sometime, Duty Free
facilities more average than good. DOH-MAA-DOH both flights with new A321, late by one hour on the
flight to MAA. Catering not that impressive as on the FRA-DOH sector. No Avod available, but overall
good experience. DOH-FRA on time and with the same overall excellent experience as on the inbound
sector. Hoping that this level of quality will not decrease during the massive expansion program
Qatar is going through now.

13 January 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
Manchester to Bangkok, returning from Singapore Business class. My feeling is that the standards are
slipping. Food quality not as good as it was. AVOD is great - but have to update the film and music
choice, and where is the much advertised Live on-board TV? Doha from Manchester decent aircraft, one
of the newer A330's in their fleet. Good menu choice and OK crew. Doha to Bangkok on an old
A340-300 series - different quality of cabin (Qatar leased the aircraft from another carrier and a
really poor re-fit) more Premium Economy than business class. Limited seat recline on old fashioned
business seat style. Seat pitch around 40 inches, no AVOD. TV screens about 8 inch. There is more
than one flight per day to connect to Bangkok from Doha - so avoid this aircraft if you can.
Unfortunately Qatar is re-scheduling flight times from Manchester from March so the A340-300 is the
only connection. Return flights from Singapore were in expected A330 - meal service out of
Singapore poor. The only option (3rd of 3) was a traditional Singapore breakfast - Chicken and
Anchovies with rice. Not my first choice any time of day!

Beijing to London (PEK-DOH-LHR) return over the Christmas period. Flights mostly on time, and not
too busy (I managed to have two seats to myself on all legs). The cabin crew were excellent and the
meals weren't bad. The blankets were the most comfortable I have used in economy. The only
downsides were transit services in Doha Airport (I managed to get an earlier flight on the DOH-LHR
flight, but only after trekking around the airport for 30 minutes), and the incredibly cold A340-600
from London to Doha - everyone around me was using at least 3 blankets. Requests to turn up the
temperature were met with agreement, but seemingly no action. ON the return, I spent a day in Doha.
When I went back to the airport around 8pm, there was an enormous queue for checkin and baggage
check outside the terminal building, which I skipped past as I had already checked in - looked a
nightmare, so leave lots of time. The airport in the evening was packed. The Al Maha Oryx lounge
is a good refuge for a few hours, and only cost 13 GBP.

LGW-DOH-TRV-DOH-LHR on A330/A321/A340-600. All aircraft were newish or in the case of the A321 brand
new. The cabin crew were professional and attentive. Just watch out for the careful scrutiny of
weight of carry-on baggage, which is rigorously enforced in UK & Doha. The whole experience was
nicely rounded off by an upgrade to Business Class on the final leg, which is another reason why I
shall continue to use Qatar Airways for long haul travel.

Tripoli to Muscat via Doha vv, Business Class TIP-DOH, First Class DOH-MCT. Check- in at Tripoli
smooth - given invitation to the First Class Lounge at Tripoli Airport. Lounge nice, newly
refurbished, plenty of food and drinks available. Flight to DOH was 15min early on departure and
flight was very nice. Enough space although Business Class fully booked. Sleeping not that easy
because cabin light not dimmed down. Arrival in DOH 30 min ahead of schedule; parked on an outside
position so special Business Class transfer to the Lounge Terminal took almost 30 min. Waiting in
the First Class Lounge was nice, lots of space - and almost nobody around as it was 0430. Connecting
flight on time - welcomed by crew with drinks, coffee and dates. Check-in for return flight was a
nightmare. No Business or First Class Counter open, only two Economy counters. Waited for 45 min as
Check-in agents not able to handle different classes and different weight limits. Was sent to cash
desk to pay for overweight luggage (40kg allowed, had 32kg). At cash desk was told to go back to
Check-in because I'm within the limits. Waited another 30 min. Flight then was on time, special
transfer for two First Class Passengers. Warm welcome by crew with drinks, coffee, dates. Overall an
excellent experience when it comes to cabin comfort, meals and service on board. Only negative
aspect is check-in in Muscat in the early morning.

30 December 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
LGW-CMB via Doha return in economy. I like to travel with hand luggage only, but Qatar are strict
about the weight of your hand luggage. 8Kg is the limit. I've travelled with 10kg or more with other
airlines, but Qatar insisted that I unpack and remove stuff until my bag met with the weight
requirement. Check-ins in both directions opened nice and early, meaning no massive queues. LGW-DOH
vv leg was nearly empty, and that meant being able to stretch out and get a good sleep. DOH-CMB leg
was full in both directions. If you're flying this route, make sure you reconfirm your return
flight. The time spent in Doha Airport was a real drag. Although nowadays the seating there is
adequate, the catering facilities are not. The food is fine but the amount of time it takes to line
up is too long. Checking in for the return journey, I couldn't be bothered with the aggravation of
complying with Qatar's stupid weight restrictions, so I checked my luggage in. Surely this must cost
the airline more money than allowing me to travel with my case as hand luggage? I asked for my usual
aisle seat, but when I got to Doha, I found that I'd been allocated a window seat next to someone
else. The person I was sitting next to told me he was with a group of three people who had been told
at check-in that they couldn't be allocated seats next to each other. It was only when I got up to
use the toilet that I realised that the plane was nearly empty! The cabin crew on all legs were
pleasant and helpful, planes were clean and both food and the leg-room were adequate.

London Heathrow - Doha- Kuala Lumpur- Denpasar return economy. This was my 7th long haul round trip
(28 sectors in all) with Qatar Airways, and I’m a silver card holder on their FF programme. LHR-DOH,
tired looking A330 with tight legroom and small ptvs with control fixed in the inside armrest, which
makes it almost unusable. Indifferent and rather demoralised looking cabin crew; good first meal but
poor snack before landing. I made use of the United lounge in Heathrow, which is adequate, although
nothing special. DOH-DPS (via KUL), newer A330, with huge ptvs, generous legroom (34”) and
enthusiastic and friendly cabin crew. Good meal, but a poor snack. KUL-DPS, another meal offered,
which was decent. DPS-DOH via KUL, newer A330, big ptvs and generous legroom; made use of the lounge
in DPS which is small, but clean and efficient and has a great view of the runway. Decent and caring
in-flight service, though few smiles; bizarrely offered dinner at 4.00am rather than breakfast!
Inedible second service. DOH to LHR new A340-600 with huge ptvs and decent legroom, decent main
meal, but gloomy cabin crew. All flights on time. Decent leg room on all flights, especially the
A340-600 and the newer A330s, though not on the older 2 class A330s. Efficient and usually friendly
cabin crew. Clean and bright cabins. Large PTVs. All sectors left and arrived on time (not the case
with QR’s flights a few years ago). Inexplicable schedules, with some bizarre departure times (my
flight left Denpasar at 3.30am). With the exception of the Premium Terminal in Doha, QR uses poor
third party lounges. Mediocre catering. Passengers are subjected to relentless self-promoting
propaganda, which is tedious; much of this is inaccurate. In 28 sectors, I’ve yet to experience
Qatar’s much touted ‘Live TV’ entertainment system onboard. No online check-in facility. Frequent
flyers should not that Qatar Privilege Club, is less generous - from 1 January 2008, discounted
Business Class tickets will only accrue 150% mileage (previously 200%), while most discounted
Economy tickets (fare codes H, V, T and W) will only earn 50% (previously 100%).

Madrid to Colombo, via Doha. Sufficient space for a person of 190 cm of high like I am), the food
and the magnificent cabin staff service. Cabin crew encouraged us to do visit to city of Doha during
our 6 hour transit, and it is well worth getting to know the capital Qatar. You do have to fill up
two forms of immigration but and soon you can take a taxi and do the tour of the city. During the
same trip we used two other airlines but - one with Srilankan Airlines and another one with
Emirates, and the truth was that Qatar Airways was so much better than these other airlines.

23 December 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
Gatwick-Doha-Bangkok business class. Our second trip with Qatar Airways as we had been very
impressed. Unfortunately this time was not nearly as good. The check-in was less chaotic at Gatwick
as it has been moved to a less cramped area. Onboard the A330 some of the seat controls didn't work.
Two hours into the flight the AVOD failed in half of the seats. The crew had drawn down all of the
window shutters despite it being a day time flight. Because of this some people had turned on their
reading lights. When the AVOD failed the reading lights could not be turned off. There is no point
having a window seat because you can't see anything! From Doha we were in an A340 with old seats
and entertainment system. We managed 2 hours sleep on the 6 hour flight as the crew were clattering
around for the first 2 hours serving dinner and then started breakfast service 2 hours out of
Bangkok. On the return our connecting flight was almost 3 hours late and although we and 20 other
Qatar Airways passengers arrived at the airport with 30 minutes to spare having already checked-in
our luggage, cleared security and immigration, we were told that Qatar Airways would not accept us.
No Qatar Airways staff were available to help us. We eventually got re-booked on the following
mornings flight to Doha and on to Heathrow (our car was parked at Gatwick). Again it was the old
A340. In Doha we asked if they could organise a taxi to take us from Heathrow to Gatwick. The ground
staff seemed completely clueless. We were simply passed from one person to another until it was time
to board the flight. This was a more modern Airbus 330. The cabin ambience, service and
entertainment were much better. At Heathrow we asked if they could assist us getting to Gatwick. We
were told that our missed connection was not their responsibility so we would have to sort things
out ourselves. Great customer service for premium passengers!

SIN-LHR and CDG-SIN Total of four sectors, only one with AVOD (DOH-LHR). Both european sectors'
aircraft were downgraded after booking hence was a huge disappointment not being able to travel on
their A346. Other than the A333 that went to LHR, the rest was done with identical A332s. Completely
devoid of personal entertainment systems, these planes should not be used on flights more than four
hours. However the movies shown on main LCD screens are up to date, but should not be repeated in
the following month (Hairspray). Cabin crew professional, attentive, willing to accede to requests,
but can only do so much since snacks (chocolates, instant noodles, biscuits) and certain drinks
(fresh milk, hot/cold cocoa) are not available. One male crew member was especially friendly and
offered a concoction of berries which turned out to be quite delicious. Check-in was fuss free as
all seats have been pre-booked, exit seats were also granted for DOH-LHR. However on CDG-DOH our
seats were mysteriously separated, checked with gate agent and was given the entire centre row so
lots of legroom for the two of us. First Qatar experience generally good if not for the change of
aircraft, otherwise a five star experience.

LHR-DOH-HYD. LHR-DOH on an Airbus 330 in economy class. The journey was pleasant but not 5 star
quality. Simple issues were neglected - pre-ordered meals were of poor quality and not delivered on
time; toilets has no liquid soap; blankets not provided. On a positive side the service was discrete
and polite. The aircraft was clean. DOH-HYD was aweful - Airbus 320, and spoilt by the state of the
aircraft. The plane was in poor condition - seats unclean and general heavy wear and tear. The food
was poor. I suspect the people who fly this route are working class, and this may reflect why Qatar
has downgraded what should have been a superior service. On a positive side, the air hostesses were
very friendly and welcoming. I flew Qatar because of their 5 star status and was disappointed.

BKK-DOH-LGW return in economy. As usual they were extremely strict on weight at both check-ins,
weighing carry-on bag too. No drinks service before meal. Meal-service out of BKK slow, they are not
allowed to serve more than 1 drink each visit, so offered a G&T or wine, with the adequate meal, but
not both! IFE OK but not brilliant. They're good, but hope they don't move any further in the LCC
direction!
