I'm a frequent flier on Norwegian and more than satisfied. The online booking system is very
convenient and easy to use; you can reserve seat numbers or optionally, at the latest, get them on
check-in, which makes boarding efficient and comparably stress-free. The planes are clean and the
flight attendants are friendly. Prices for onboard snacks and drinks are reasonable and often beat
those down at the airports. On the other hand, your low air fare comes with the typical "low cost
carrier symptoms": Little legroom, extra charge for check-in luggage, no inflight amenities. Also,
minor delay times used to add up throughout the day, but the situation has improved a lot lately.

OSL-STN-RYG. Norwegian represented excellent value for money on this trip, undercutting the nearest
competitor by a good 30% - I booked just 2 weeks before I flew and still paid a under NOK 1000.
You get what you pay for, but I got efficient flight crews into the bargain). The aircraft are not
the newest in the world, but I have seen far older on full-service airlines. I hope the present
price of fuel doesn't push them out of the market so that we are left in a monopoly situation as we
have been several times in the past. Then no-one will be able to afford to travel anywhere.

Norwegian, although categorized as a budget carrier, for me beats out it's main Scandinavian rival
hands down. I've flown with them on numerous occasions and I have to say I have yet to experience
the slightest of delays with this carrier. Seats and service were a bit above what is to be expected
for the price... but then again you wouldn't expect anything more out of a 3 hour bus trip either.
And most of the time a 3 hour flight with Norwegian is cheaper than taking the airport bus from the
heart of Oslo.

Warsaw to Malaga (two return flights, one with all the family). All flights on time, pleasant staff,
comfortable seats (with sufficient space for legs -not BlueAir!), good and inexpensive food service.
The online booking system is excellent, as it includes the seat choice. Prices are highly
competitive. Etiuda airport in Warsaw is not a marvel, but not as awful as usually described.

Oslo-Bodų, Tromsų-Oslo and Oslo-Warsaw. All three flights on time. Quick check-in. Ticket to Warsaw
very cheap - 110 NOK only. Domestic fares higher but better than SAS. Good option for travellers from
Europe to Northern Norway via OSL - connection is guaranteed, even in case of delay. Another big
advantage - you can take on board up to 15 kg of hand luggage. Staff helpful. The only drawback are
their ageing Boeing 737-300s - quite noisy and worn out, it's high time Norwegian replaced them with
new-generation aircraft.

I travelled with Norwegian on an intra-Scandinavian flight. Of course
Norwegian delivered the same service as every low-cost airline: food and
beverages for purchase, slightly worn-out seats, tight legroom, but at
least you get a seat number and the flight ran on schedule. As I paid
only a fraction of SAS fare I cannot really complain. Thumbs up for the
150 Nkr change fee, which is quite a reasonable amount.

STN-Oslo and Bergen-STN, for the money there waa little to compalin
about. Check-in at STN was completed in about 5 minutes (and I was
number 3 in the queue) which was good. Offered an emergency row seat
without being asked. Flight took off 15 minutes late but arrived a few
minutes early into Oslo. Crew were efficient, and even smiled. On the
return journey check-in took 20 minutes (there were several flights
checking in at the same time), but the flight pushed back on time and
arrived a few minutes early, the crew were efficient again and again I
got an emergency row seat (prebooked at a small supplement). Overall an
excellent journey, and with tea and a muffin only Nkr40 they don't rip
you off once onboard.

ARN-ORY and return. Most of the remarks I wrote in my previous posting
still apply. The seating policy is not clear to me: in Stockholm the
self-service check-in machines have not materialized yet and it was a
free seating policy. On the way back I was given a seat number at check-
in and was lucky enough to get the emergency exit row. Cabin crew was
friendly but, surprisingly, could not speak any Scandinavian language.
Their command of english was very good, though. I assume it was one of
the aircraft and cabin crew which are usually based in Warsaw. Both
flights were on-time and have the big advantage of using Orly airport,
which is much closer to Paris than CDG.

ARN-OSL. My first experience with Norwegian was neither excellent nor
awful. Although the flight was almost full, only one check-in counter
was open at Arlanda, resulting in a long queue. But Norwegian announced
it will introduce self-service machines as of May 1st, 2007. Flight was
perfectly on-time and operated by a B737-300 : usual seat configuration
but with leather seats, a nice touch. It is a very good and original
idea to have the pictures of some famous Norwegians painted on the
aircraft tail ! Food and beverages available for purchase, but it is a
very short flight. Unusually for Scandinavians, the cabin crew was not
friendly at all: not a single smile, unfortunately.

I use Norwegian frequently to fly between Warsaw and Malaga. I've read
the other comments regarding this airline and can only agree: the planes
are a little tired and there are sometimes slight delays, but the staff
are great and the prices are superb. It's currently the only airline
providing a direct service between Warsaw and Malaga and I will
certainly continue to use it. From my point of view, Norwegian is by far
and away the best "low cost" airline I have used, and compares well with
some supposed "full service" companies. The one thing that could be done
to improve the service would be to sort out the "free seating"
arrangement. In Warsaw, this results in a free-for-all rush for the bus.
In Malaga, seats are allocated at check-in but once on-board the cabin
crew announces that passengers can sit where they wish. Not good.

ORY-OSL. The price of the flight was by far the most attractive aspect
and getting a low-cost airline out of Orly is so much more convenient
than treking to CDG to take SAS from Terminal 1 (read "nightmare") or
heaven forbid finding your way to Beauvais for Ryanair. The aircraft
were certainly a bit tired, and the pitch was not good, nor were the
seats comfortable. Some professionalism issues with the flight
attendants, who frankly looked a bit scary in their knee-high leather
boots and black leather gloves. However, the return flight was certainly
on par with anything you would get from SAS, service-wise. Pay-as-you-go
refreshments are par for the course in Europe, whether you are a low-
cost or not, and reindeer jerky was a nice thought for 'local flavor.'
All in all, I'd happily take Norwegian again to avoid CDG and paying for
Braathens. Their new external hub in Poland should be interesting and
will open up some new routes in a stale market, so keep an eye out for
that one.

STN-OSL and back. Good price, reasonable seating but very little
legroom. The main issue is timing. The flight out left 2 hours late,
and the flight back nearly an hour late. The outward journey was by far
the worse, as the aircraft arrived in OSL after 1.00 am. I would be
wary of flying them again as I feel that their timetable is unrealistic.

Have flown twice in the past 6 weeks Stansted - Trondheim return. Would
recommend the airline to anyone. Checking in is easy, the staff on the
ground and on board extremely friendly. Couldn't be easier. Plane not
the newest but comfortable, and on my four journeys nearly always full.
No seat allocation but then that is up to the individual to get to the
front of the queue for required seat. Never bothered me. Food and drink
a bit expensive, but hey, you're going to Norway! Very pleased, and good
luck to Norwegian Air.

Oslo to Trondheim. No check-in formalities required as I only travelled
with cabin baggage. You just show your printed e-ticket or "Bizzi Card"
at the gate. Boarding was on time and usual procedure with free seating.
We had to wait 15 min for departure due to some more cargo to be loaded
in. Captain kept us informed about this. Flight was full and uneventful.
No kind of service offered, not even sale of food and beverages. Maybe
this was standard on this 40 min flight, but I'm not sure. Just before
landing the crew passed through the aircraft to collect garbage. It was
an absolutely satisfying no-frills flight for little money (249 NOK).

I have flown with Norwegian often over the past two years and rate them
as the best all round airline on short haul, even compared to the big
boys. Web is so easy and attractive to use, with the option, for a small
fee, to change your flights (most useful). Planes i have found to be
clean, punctuality is a little wayward but never bad delays unless some
external thing like snow storms in Europe or something which affect all
airlines anyway. As a budget option for Norway it is excellent. Against
my better judgement but due to necessity I once flew with Ryan Air from
Norway to STN and was screamed at by one of the FA when i had my
backrest slightly a jar on landing - actually it was broken. I calmly
but pointedly protested at the way i had been spoken to and they
threatened to call the police for being a disruptive passenger even
though I was on the steps leaving the plane! Thank god for Norwegian.

Hamburg to Oslo last week. This was my first time on board Norwegian.
The aircraft was B737-300, it looked quite fresh inside - leather seats,
and the normal configuration. The cabin crew was very friendly and
helped passengers to their seat. After take off you had the opportunity
to buy drinks and food. The flight was almost full so Norwegian must be
doing well on this service I guess. The price I paid for the ticket was
not much, the service was better than on SAS, which I usually have been
travelling. I would not have any problem booking Norwegian again. Very
nice!

STN-OSL-STN check-in at Stansted good although beware that Norwegian
issue confirmation slips for outbound and return journeys, although
Stansted check-in didn't even look at it, they do scan it on your return
at Oslo so make sure you have all the documentation. Boarding was a
shambles as didn't do sequential boarding. Flight slightly late on
departure, but good service on board even if a trifle expensive for food
& drink . Flight an hour late returning to London, sat on board for an
hour waiting for aircraft to be de-iced? Expect that over in the UK but
not Norway. All in all very good and would use them again.

STN - OSLO Gardamon return. Decided to try them as didn't want the
hassle and cost of flying to Torp with Ryanair then 2 hr bus journey to
Oslo. Cost only £9 more than Ryanair for last minute booking. Checked in
at Stansted with 20 mins to go to flight (due to roadworks on M11). With
Ryanair I would have been laughed at trying to check in then. Very
courteous staff through check in and flight. They smiled and importantly
paid personal attention to passengers needs. I even paid £7 for muffin,
drink and good sandwich, which is a first for me ! as I was so impressed
with the staff. Express train to Oslo station £12.00 with all children
under 15 free of charge. Overall excellent would recommend Norwegian
Shuttle to anyone if thinking of using Ryanair to Norway.

Prague - Oslo. Very pleasant surprise. Leather seats, friendly crew, no
problem finding a cheap ticket, very easy to use web site! Flight was
full. Flew them the next day as well, then domestic to Harstad/Narvik
Evenes airport (not sure what the correct name is, and it didn't seem
like the crew knew it either). Leather seats, full flight even though it
was a mid day flight. I recomend them strongly - compared to SAS
Braathens which is pricey and with no free service.

OSL to RIX one way and I can only praise the efficiency and friendliness
of staff, extremely low prices (paid just NOK 292!) and nice catering
onboard their flights, although against payment only. They have a smart
and practical website and excellent service at the airport from the
check-in counter to boarding, although no seats assigned. All in all an
excellent experience. SAS Braathens should begin taking notes when it
comes to the website of the airline (including the calendar for the
lowest fares) to the very last minute with their excellent staff and
efficient operations.

TOS-OSL. First time with Norwegian and quite enjoyable (Flew only SAS
Braathens before). Clean and new plane, half empty as it was the last
evening flight to Oslo, with all leather seats; too bad they were too
short and a bit narrow - either your head or your legs could rest (but
not both at the same time. Well handled luggage and helpful FAs. Good
quality airline, which unfortunately I often hesitate to take due to
connecting flights, which I might miss because of possible delays – low
cost airline policies and stuff (though not low prices – remarkable
feature of Tromso-Oslo route overall).

STN-OSL-STN for long weekend leisure break. Choice was Norwegian or
Ryanair. Norwegian fly to Oslo airport proper, whereas Ryanair use the
remote "Torp" airfield. Online booking system was excellent and easy to
use - on par with the BA site. Check-in was very rapid and efficient (on
both legs of the journey), with 4 check-in desks at STN (compared to the
2 at Ryanair). Both flights had slight delays in boarding of around 20
minutes but that time was made up in the air leading to on-time
arrivals. One minor gripe is that little to no information was
forthcoming about the delays - a simple tannoy announcement is always
welcome rather than leaving us guessing. On board the planes, though
old, were clean and the FA's friendly and attentive and all spoke
perfect English. The price of refreshments on board was fair. Overall,
was impressed with the service offered and value for money - you'll need
to save your pennies for the high prices of everything in Norway !

Oslo to Hamburg. Check-in was in the evening and therefore hassle-free.
Check-in staff was very friendly. Boarding was efficient with priority
boarding for families with children. Plane was an aging 737 with new
seats in corporate colours. Nevertheless, condition of the aircraft
looked good. Crew motivated passengers for quicker boarding by several
announcements. After take off, drinks and food for sale were offered.
Service was good, but not spectacular. In general, this was good value
for money (€40 one-way, the day before christmas).

Flew Norwegian seveeral times this summer, including OSL, BGO, STN, SVG, EVE, SXF and
ARN. All flights were on time. The aircrafts are OK, but they could spend more money
on cleaning. Inflight service was OK- offering drinks and food for slae. The prices
was very good. Most of the flights were full. Childrens family and elderly in need of
assistance may preboard. The cabin crew was very friendly and you saw them all the
time.

Norwegian is a good alternative to SAS on both domestic and international flights.
However their planes are old, and the seats are uncomfortable. The neckrest reaches me to my
shoulders, and the seat pillow is hard so it feels like sitting on a wooden plank.

Easter Trip to Norway. London Stansted-Oslo, Bergen-Stansted. All flights on-time with 737-400's.
Check in very rapid at both ends. Boarding involved no priority to those who
check in in early,
however it was orderly and the elderly and kids where given heaps of time to beat the crowd. Average
set pitch for a discount airline. Very good in-fight service - but buy your own food. This airline
is a good pick if you are flying to Oslo as they land at the new airport with a fast train
connection to central station. They are better than Ryanair, on a par with easyjet but offer a more
basic service than SAS or BA.

Using Norwegian on a permanent basis. Very good and reliable service. Have been travelling a lot
STN-OSL, ARN-OSL + OSL-BGO. Always on time and very god prices. Value for money is very good. Crew
very pleaseant and professional, always with a smile. The opposite of Ryanair where the crew always
looks exhausted and sad.

I have recently made two flights with Norwegian, from London Stansted to Oslo and Tromso to
Longyearbyen. I have to say that the aircraft were both a bit tatty on the inside, and the flight
from Tromso to Longyearbyen was delayed by 50 minutes while we waited for fluid to be added to one
of the landing gears (after we had already boarded), but I must say that the flight attendants were
the best!! They were friendly, warm, attentive and very helpful. It was worth flying with them for
the flight attendants alone! But of course their flights are free-seating, so you need to be near
the front of the queue for boarding if you want to get your preferred seat, especially if the flight
is full (as was my flight from Tromso to Longyearbyen). All in all though, a very pleasant flying
experience.

I believe Norwegian Shuttle is welcome new competition for Ryanair for flights
to Oslo. They have cheap fares that compete favourably with Ryanair.
the airport is Oslo airport. with good links. Their additional charges are a fraction of the fare.
Their Customer Service is just about excellent both online and offline.
