London - Copenhagen. I actually didn't mind Norwegian Airlines. It is a cheaper airline, but unlike most of the other cheap European airlines you get allocated seats with Norwegian - which creates a less stressful environment. You have to pay extra for any services and checked-in luggage, but you can bring a trolley (7 kg and specific measures) and a computer bag. In theory they are strict with checking, but no one checked.

Stockholm Arlanda to Nice and although flight was full, it all worked very efficiently. The self-check in at Arlanda went smoothly; bag drop simple and boarding well managed. I was somewhat surprised, having expected less although I had selected a fully-refundable fare option and then was put through a special "fast" security clearance line for such passengers. There was a problem with unloading of bags in Nice but this was not an airline issue but rather, an airport one. Nice is busy and not a terribly efficient or customer-friendly airport at all. I then had an onward flight to Toulouse with Air France which required a terminal change. From years of flying experience, I always allow plenty of time between flights and this was a good move on this occasion.

Billund- Oslo. Short and cheap one hour flight. New 737-800 with sky interior, friendly crew. Norwegian allows you to select seats for free at check-in machines if they haven't been pre-booked by others - we were able to select emergency exit seats. No inflight service, but wasn't expected. In-flight entertainment consisted of some cartoons and travel advertisements displayed on nice overhead screens.

TRD-BGO. Was met with rather bad customer care at Trondheim Airport, with only a few seats available outside the gate, while a large, empty area was closed. This required over 100 passengers to stand for a long time while waiting for boarding, but I guess that's airport staff, not Norwegians fault. Short, 50-minute flight on a new, clean Boeing 737-800. FAs smiling and professional. Seats more than fine for a short flight, with decent leg-room, even though I'm 193 cm tall. Free onboard Wifi is a very cool feature. Nothing served or for sale, but honestly you dont need it for such a short flight. Very good for a low-cost carrier, compared to Ryanair it's a different world!

OSL-ATH was on an old and dirty B737. Departure was on time. Seats do not recline, we paid to select seats on the first row but even there the space was not enough for our feet. No IFE, if you flown on B737-800 you will get WiFi. Staff unfriendly.

Flown Norwegian plenty over the years. Last flight OSL-LGW return. Very old aircraft flying out, no Wi-Fi, worn down 737. Polite but slightly annoyed stewardesses on this flight. On return, new 737 with Wi-Fi that hardly worked at all. They better get this thing working if they want to promote it so heavily. Expensive food, hardly worth the money. Nice chairs, usually new aircraft with decent legroom. Good for a low cost carrier.

I normally like travelling with Norwegian, ok price, good comfort, good flight times, flying to and from centrally located airports, etc. But yesterdays trip from Budapest to Stockholm did not live up to my expectations. Check in at Budapest airport was a mess. No organized queuing system, waiting almost two hour for check in just to get a seating (we had just hand luggage). No online or automatic check in. And the very much advertised free Wi-Fi on-board did not work this time.

July CPH-FCO-CPH in a B-737. Clean cabin, comfortable seats with good leg room for a person of medium height. Cabin crew sufficiently polite and effective - considering the budget flight context - food and drinks are on the expensive side, but then again catering was never 'cheap' even the days of complimentary meals! Boarding was slow due to passengers with oversized hand baggage, often needing help with stowing it in the overhead compartments! Norwegian should tighten their hand baggage policy. Otherwise: a very favourable first impression of Norwegian!

HEL-STO June 3rd. Check in machines were not all working at Helsinki Airport, so I had to go into the full process before the screen tells me to go and check in with the nearest agent. The flight departed with a 30 min. delay. The flight was full, but the seats were comfortable, the interior cabin was nicely decorated - all seats were dark blue leather. No meals, you have to purchase everything, but still I believe it is the Best Low cost flight I have had.

CPH-PMI June 2012 with new B737-800. We often fly with Norwegian and have never been disappointed. Nice crew and good information from cockpit during flight. New aircraft's most of them with WiFi. God legroom. Food and drinks onboard is expensive but not more than any other airline. I think Norwegian is the best choice in Europe.

Antalya-Oslo-Bergen return. The plane interior was good, the seats wide enough and the flight personnel kind. But on the 4 hours and 15 minutes flight from Antalya to Oslo, even water was not served as a refreshment. You have to pay for all refreshments and food. Secondly, ground staff in both Oslo and Bergen were ignorant and unhelpful. They sold me a ticket in which the connection time was only 1 hour from international to domestic. In Oslo airport I had to pick up my baggage after the international flight because of regulations and check in again, there was a very long quake in domestic check in and staff did not help at all. Finally a passenger behind me from argued with them and they helped. In Bergen on the return flight they insisted that I check in via the kiosk.

London Gatwick to Ålesund return. On the way out had the pleasure of flying on the new Boeing Sky Interior on a 737-800. Massively comfortable seating, ample legroom and nice clean seats and seatbacks. Cabin could reproduce sunrise effect with mood lighting, and effective and new overhead bins. On the way back also a 737-800 with normal interior, quite grotty and ugly cabin but seat comfort and legroom were ample. On both flights a variety of amusing and entertaining short films were shown on the overhead screens. WIFI on both flights was useful but could suffer from extreme slowness. Food and beverages available to buy on board were extraordinarily expensive, therefore did not purchase any. I did not use the toilets on either flight so cannot comment. Flight attendants were cold and inattentive.

CPH-FCO-CPH, June 2012. Norwegian is still one of the best low-cost carriers in my experience. Their treatment of passengers is efficient and pleasant. Flights are on schedule and uneventful. One of the positive points I particularly like is the opening of check in at Rome Airport 3 hours before the flight time. The only gripes I have are the lack of control on oversized cabin-baggage and no on-line check in.

Copenhagen-Oslo, Oslo-Helsinki and Helsinki-Stockholm. Comfortable aircraft and seating (the new 'mood' lights on the new planes are quite impressive). Even more impressive is the excellent free WIFI and very reasonable onboard prices for food and drinks. Even check-in staff were accommodating. I saved a small fortune on the fares and really enjoyed the experience. Now if only other budget carriers offered the same.

BGO-OSL-BGO. Outbound flight on an older 737-800, but plane was clean and staff friendly and smiling. Inbound on a brand new 737-800 with Sky Interior, spotless plane. Both flights were short, 40-minute flights, but departed on time and even arrived a bit early. Seat pitch a bit tight for a 2-meter tall man, but more than good enough. Onboard WiFi is good! Automatic check-in machines and self-service bag drop a big plus, makes getting to gate a lot easier. Overall very satisfied.

HEL-LGW on B737NG. Check-in perfect, flight left on time. Aircraft spotless. Cabin Crew speak perfect English, not overly friendly but still sufficient. Food menu is a little basic but sufficient. Expect Norway pricing. All in all an excellent airline that offers free wifi onboard. Hard to believe this airline classes themselves as a "budget airline".

A surprisingly easy, enjoyable and trouble-free return trip from Gatwick to Copenhagen last weekend. The first time we've flown Norwegian for a couple of years and we noticed an improvement. Check-in machines are straightforward, assigned seats are a big plus, eliminating the scrum to get onboard. More legroom than I remembered as well. Ahead of time pulling back from the gate and early landing in both directions. Booked well in advance so not at all expensive. No complaints.

DUB-OSL. I paid over 200 euros to fly Norwegian and in the end, end up on a budget wet leased aircraft from Smartlynx. Check-in was awful and despite being there more than 2 hours before, resulted in a 45 minute wait. Onboard, seating was so cramped my knees dug into the seat in front and the plane was filthy. Torn dirty seats, and old parts from Air Canada visible. The Latvian crew were nowhere to be seen and their English poor. Customers thinking of flying Norwegian this summer should consider BA (from the UK).

ARN-LGW-ARN. I regularly take this return trip from Stockholm to London, and thus far have been very impressed. Professional staff, new aircraft and reasonable pricing policies. You would be inclined to believe you were travelling on a flag carrying international airline for most aspects of the journey, the only give away is when the inflight trolley comes along and you are reminded that you actually have to pay for any snacks/beverages required. All this comes at a slightly more expensive ticket price, the advantage is that you do arrive in the city advertised, and not simply within a hundred miles of it. Still very competitively priced, and the free wifi onboard is a big bonus.

OSL-AES. Flight from Oslo to Aalesund with two children, all of us with fully flexible tickets - total cost more than 5000 NOK. Check-in pretty smooth but flight delayed 35 minutes due to late incoming aircraft. Free Wi- Fi during flight . Upon arrival in Aalesund no luggage for us. The luggage arrived next day. We had to drive 60 kms out to the airport and pick it up ourselves. No service!

Stockholm Arlanda to London Gatwick 30 March 2012 departed Stockholm more than 4 hours late - at 22.30 hrs instead of 18.15 hrs. The company blamed technical difficulties on the incoming plane, but the difficulties were not resolved and passengers eventually boarded a Norwegian plane at a different gate. Although there were occasional announcements, no personnel were available for most of this time and passengers were not kept informed. For the last couple of hours, passengers were stuck at the gate without sufficient seats. Norwegian calls itself (and acts like) a budget airline. But I paid £238.86 return for this shoddy service.

LGW-OSL-TRO return. Check-in at Gatwick was farcical, at security, I discovered I'd been given a boarding pass for the Oslo to Tromso leg, not the Gatwick to Oslo flight. I went back to check-in, where with barely an apology the clerk printed the correct boarding pass. The 4 flights were all efficient and friendly in comfortable aircraft with good leg room. LGW-OSL flight left 80 minutes late due to fog but OSL-TRO flight was held for connecting passengers. Returning on TRO-OSL leg, a replacement aircraft had to be sourced, but again the OSL-LGW flight was held for us.

CPH-PRG. I arrived at CPH airport very early but was allowed to drop my luggage, this turned out to be the biggest mistake. Gate still not indicated 40 minutes before boarding. Very old and dirty 737. Crew ok. In PRG the luggage delivery was delayed 25 minutes and my one was lost! After 3 days no news.

CPH-FCO-CPH. Check-in at Copenhagen was done quickly using the check-in kiosks. Fast bag-drop. I have to agree with other comments that Norwegian does not control hand baggage brought onboard, boarding suffers from people placing oversized baggage into overhead lockers. Pre-paid seating was chosen, which gave extra legroom. On the return flight no Norwegian kiosks available in Rome Airport, but check-in desks opened almost 3 hours before scheduled flight time. Crew cheerful and attentive both ways. Food onboard is very expensive and poor quality. Flights on time and without problems.
