Flew from Auckland to London via KL, seats were comfortable enough, good entertainment unit, plenty of
food and drinks. I was pleased with the service.

The plane, a Boeing 737-800, used was quite new. From Manila to Kuala Lumpur there was no personal in-
flight entertainment and the music channels were not working. From KL to Manila, the personal entertainment
was available and there were good selection of music and films. Internet check-in is efficient. I personally
dislike the check0in services in Manila airport due to long lines and no clear information on dedicated counter
for internet check-in. Food is okay but not the one I expect for a 5 star airlines.

LHR to KUL, the cabin crew were friendly and efficient. What really let down the flight was the food quality
which at best was poor. Evidence of more MAS cutbacks it appears.

I took a short flight from Kul to Sin on the 8th of June 2012. The check-in agent was helpful and polite. This
applies to the flight crew as well. The legroom was great. There was no in-flight entertainment but generous
portion of peanuts plus, selection of juices were served on this short flight. I enjoyed this flight.

I travel often on Malaysian Airlines. One of the few reasons for that is because I live in Malaysia and MAS
provides direct flight to places I travel to. In terms of services, MAS may have improved over the years but I
still think there is more room for improvements. The quality of services very much depends on the crew you
have. Sometimes I see very friendly staff who gives you warm greetings and very friendly when they serve
you. Very often, I see fake smiles, if I am lucky enough or none at all. At times, they can't even offer their
help properly. My partner was asked "What do you want?" when he pressed on the 'Attendance' light. I
thought that was rather a rude question. I wonder if one will only get better service when one travels on
business/first class?

KUL-HKG return flight last month. Malaysia Airlines service was excellent. While in boarding, the cabin crew smile
was very kind, and good in greeting to passengers. But the inflight meal is less for choice, it was nice.

I flew to Amsterdam on a different airline but returned to Kuala Lumpur on Malaysia Airlines. First thing I
noticed on boarding the B777-200 was the relatively generous seat and legroom. The most important thing
was the smile, and help to store my hand luggage. Service was attentive, and several rounds of drinks served
during the 12-hour flight. Food wasn't interesting but this is nothing new across airlines.

KCH-KUL-DEL return. Domestic flight KCH-KUL was very disappointing on B737-400. Air-con was not working
well and the cabin got warm and stuffy. FA's did not seem very interested in serving. Interestingly, the last
row of the seats in the plane were occupied with another group of FA's. One who was sitting by the aisle had
the intention to direct me back to my seat when the toilets at the back of the plane were occupied. It was a
little rude to approach me and was more interested in chatting with the other FAs next to him. On my flight
KUL-DEL, one FA was not willing to help with the overhead baggage, only directed how it should be placed
and arranged. Return sector was fine, from DEL-KUL, FA's were both friendly and attentive. Return flight from
KUL-KCH, the air-con was working well this time. No issues with FAs on this sector. Overall, the trip
experience was fair. There is still a lot the airline has to do to improve it's service, cabin etc.

Booked business class return tickets from Melbourne to Rome. Having paid for the tickets, we were told a few
weeks later that MA was no longer flying to Rome. They offered us the flights back to Rome on disembarking
in London, at no extra cost. After a 24 hour flight the last thing we wanted was to then fly back to Rome. We
asked for a flight the next day, but couldn't get them to agree. In the end, we did stay overnight in London
and then bought a return ticket to Rome at our expense. When we checked in at Heathrow to return to
Australia, we were told that the lounge in KL was closed for renovations but "alternative facilities for our
convenience" had been arranged in the satellite building". As we were about to board, we were told that one
of our allocated seats was inoperable and as a result our seats had to be changed. We were put at the back
of the upper deck and the overhead luggage space was taken up by safety equipment. In KL there were no
ground staff at the gate, we had to go looking for the lounge. This consisted of two small linked rooms with
one male and one female toilet in total. What on earth were we paying business class fares for.

NRT-LAX Return. No problems at check-in. The plane seemed old and interior was ugly, but the seats were
comfortable enough and I felt like I had a good amount of room. I liked their inflight entertainment system,
plenty to choose from. The food was pretty good going to LAX, not as great coming back. The main draw back
though is the crew. On each leg the flight attendants were surly and elusive. They were especially bad on the
way to NRT. We were never offered water, and when I asked it was if I was interrupting something. If they
were handing out snacks and people were sleeping, they would literally just throw it on top of them. They
never even handed out immigration forms, there was a mad dash literally minutes before landing after me
and a few other passengers asked for them.

KUL-PEK return. Outbound flight with Satay as starter still at its best quality. Nasi Lemak breakfast was not
impressive. Crew were not seen after meal service (it's a midnight flight though). Meals on return flight were
not much different, but crew service was much better, and there were regular runs to check on passengers'
need.

Flew economy from Melbourne via KUL to China then return. The food was sub standard - cold and
unappetising. The plane was not clean and the toilets dirty with just one functioning ex KL to China resulting
in long queues. Some cabin crew very lovely and helpful when the meal I wanted ran out (after 12 rows) and I
was given a cabin crew's meal - still very ordinary. From reading other reviews, the way to travel is Business
class, but this I can't afford.

Just returned PER-LHR. New airbus from PER-KUL ok, very tired shabby 747 to LHR and LHR to KUL (new A380
starts in July, not before time) poor inflight entertainment choice only a handful of new release movies (that
were in fact quite old) food good although not much evidence of crew between service with water or juice.
Cabin crew otherwise very friendly and helpful. In general ok and good value for money but Singapore
Airlines still have the edge overall.

BNE-KUL on new A330-300. Very comfortable Recaro seating. Return on a similar aircraft 4 weeks later. We
are long time MH fans, who haven't used them for 4 years or so. The service standard has declined in that
period, but I suppose as some compensation - the entertainment and seat comfort is improved on this route.
We also flew from KUL to Hanoi, and from Bangkok to KUL on 737 aircraft. Seating on these is not lie-flat,
but was comfortable enough, particularly on the newer aircraft used on the BKK-KUL flight.

Kuala Lumpur - Ho Chi Minh on B737-800. Seat and inflight entertainment was working well this time and had
quite a good flight on economy class. Staff were polite and helpful on this sector. Flight departed/arrived on
time and the food was alright for 1.5 hours flight. Crews service has not been consistent lately - sometimes
was good and sometimes was poor, making the evaluation of this airline rather tough.

Compared to a flight 2 years ago on Singapore it was awful. Jam packed and difficult to get out to queue with
the other 3-4 passengers at the one toilet for up to 10-15 minutes. Very little fluid offered, tiny little plastic
cups of water and very infrequent, not good on a 8 hour leg followed by a 13 hour leg. Staff generally surly
and disinterested, there was a couple of friendly and helpful staff. Am dreading the 20 hours flying home with
them and myself and extended family have several OS trips planned in next year, will never travel Malaysian.

KUL-LHR Economy. I opted for MH as I only required a one way ticket the price was good considering this was
a direct flight, check-in at KL Central station was quick although be careful they are very strict with baggage
weight I was 3kgs over the 20kgs and they wanted £100. I avoided payment by removing some weight to
hand luggage. Boarding by section so called first for seat 61A; plenty of room and fairly comfy seat! Although
VOD had plenty of content the screen was poor. Aircraft a very old 747-400, was clean and tidy. Food and
service very good on this flight, I managed 6hrs sleep and the flight kept good time arriving 10 min early. Not
SQ or CX but good enough and would use again for right price, should be better with the A380 coming soon.

MNL-KUL in Economy Class, on a Boeing 737-800. What won me over on this flight were the flight
attendants: they were very attentive and tried their best to compensate for some of the shortcomings on the
flight. Not all seats had earphones (fortunately, mine had one). The food and beverages were ok, although I
was bit disappointed with the dessert: a small and measly cupcake. Magazines and other reading materials in
my seat were missing some pages and looked as if they were last year's issue based on their state. Overall
though, MH staff lived up to their "Malaysian Hospitality" slogan and proved that they are one of the airline's
assets.

IST-KUL. The flight was only around 70% full but consisted of quite a number of pretty rowdy passengers
(shouting to one another, opening and closing overhead compartments often etc). Staff were perfect at doing
their job despite all these and still keep a friendly face. Surprised at the quality of food served, both
lunch/snack and breakfast. Very good and generous helpings. Seat comfortable, IFE at par with another
competitor. Overall, pleasantly surprised.

Flight from KUL to MNL, economy class. The flight was uneventful. The lack of AVOD IFE was real letdown.
Food served was sub-par with other regional flight I have travelled with competitor airlines. Service by FAs
was courteous, and they tried so hard so the other shortcomings were not too obvious. MH really needs to
work on their product because it's bordering LCC standards based on what I have experienced.

SYD-KUL-BOM and DEL-KUL-SYD (all sectors Business Class). Golden Lounge at Sydney is comfortable and
has a good selection of hot/cold food and drinks. It is somewhat tucked away in the terminal. Priority check-
in, boarding, immigration and luggage worked well at all ports. All sectors had very comfortable, well kept Biz
Class cabins with pod seats. FA's were without exception friendly, attentive and addressed me by my
surname. Drinks were always replenished. Food was overall very good. However, the satay served as a pre-
course is delicious and the nasi lemak on the KUL-SYD sector was perfection. IFE - the selection of TV on
demand was pretty good and offered a safe+ selection.

SYD-KUL-LHR, AMS-KUL-SYD on 747. Aircraft interior was tired and the small screens difficult to use AVOD.
Inflight entertainment looked like they hadn't been changed since we last flew with Malaysia 11 years ago -
very poor quality. Meal quality was surprisingly variable. Twice served a meal consisting only of something
akin to a sausage roll, but it contained chicken or vegetables. First time it was still frozen in its cardboard
box. Cabin crew lacked warmth and ignored call buttons. Staff at KUL couldn't be bothered to assist with
seating mix up, unlike the very helpful contractors in Sydney. Pillows were scratchy, seats uncomfortable. I fly
a lot of LCCs and don't complain, but was just disappointed with Malaysia Airlines, especially after great
flights with competitors. Would fly them again only if the fares were cheap enough. Uninspiring.

KUL-CGK-KUL. MAS have started to use their new 737-800 equipment for this route, the same equipment that
Garuda is using on this route. However, MAS has definitely deteriorated in their service level compared to
Garuda. MAS do not offer any welcome drinks and nuts anymore and immediately start meal service once the
seat belt sign is switched off. They have also abandoned the meal box concept. Despite the new planes, the
upkeep is poor; the ceiling has very visible dirt stains and the seat area behind the meal tray is filthy. Flight
attendants did not distribute the headphones on the outgoing flight thus rendering the AVOD to be pointless.

I had not flown Malaysia for quite some years, my memories of them were generally very good. Unfortunately
however, what I experienced was a very tired looking A330 with visibly dirty seats and carpet, plus the seat
padding was so worn that it was actually uncomfortable. The service was ok, but certainly not up to the
standard of other leading Asian airlines, and in fact 2 of the flight attendants were downright grumpy and not
interested in serving passengers. The food was quite good, but getting an (alcoholic) drink was a frustrating
slow process. I think from now on I will be sticking with Singapore Airlines for this part of the world.

LHR-KUL, 747. Having flown a few times on this route with MAS, I know what to expect. Any order of drinks
that isn't on their serving tray would take at least 10 minutes (consistently). 747 is dated and tired with
visible stains on carpets and seats. Inflight entertainment equipment is not in full working condition. Leaking
overhead air con air flows (condensation was blamed). Cabin crew are generally helpful except for my last
flight. To be greeted 'Hey Hey' was simply unacceptable and rude! Quite a distance from Singapore Airlines,
their counterpart of the same rating.

and service. Reverse trip was Shanghai KUL-SYD. Could not fault FA's, food or service. FA's friendly and
addressed us by name. Satay scrumptious as usual. Plenty of food and drinks offered on all legs. Seat
preferences honoured on all legs as was priority boarding and luggage collection.

junior. Overall very satisfied with the flights.

Travelled Langkawi to KUL. Ground service poor. We were told there was no group check-in in LGK airport and
we later had a problem with one of our bags arriving. Aircraft was a B737 - seemed old but ok for a short
flight. Crew sometimes looked disinterested and cold-faced. Quite disappointed with our first experience on

We travelled from Hanoi to London in April 2012. The 3 hour flight from Hanoi to KUL on an Airbus was
reasonable, except that there seemed to be inadequate toilet facilities which resulted in long queues to use
the 2 toilets at the rear of the plane. I estimate there must have been roughly one toilet per 90 passengers.
Long haul flight from KUL to LHR on a 747 was generally poor. The seats and toilets were dirty: door handles
and wall panels in the toilets were covered in dust and grime. General impression was that the plane was
old, tired and poorly maintained. Staff service was poor with few drinks offered during the night between
dinner and breakfast (I think only one round was made with a tray of water/juice over a period of about 8
hours).

piece of advice, watch your hand baggage allowance, there is no set price for it being enforced. Some airports
let you through while others weigh your bags. Overall the food was really good.

DAC-KUL-CGK. This otherwise fine airline is let down by its ground staff. I have never spent so much time
checking in as I did at DAC. Travelling on my own, it took more than 25 minutes. The check-in agent took 10
minutes verifying that I indeed qualified for a visa on arrival at Jakarta. Then, she charged me for every kg of
excess weight in my checked baggage, which is her right, but then took another 10 minutes to get the credit
card terminal to print out the transaction slip. With this distraction going on, little wonder that the security
sticker on one of my 3 checked bags fell off when she was affixing the destination tags. In such a situation,
the onus is apparently on the passenger to go back to security screening at the terminal entrance and obtain
a new sticker. I was definitely not impressed. Two subsequent flights were ok and on time, and without the
poor check-in experience, I would have given them an overall rating of 8.

LHR-KUL (Business Class). On time, usual high standards of service (addressed by surname, hot towels,
storage for jackets, food on demand). Angled seats slightly hard for sleeping on the side. Lounge at LHR
superb with hot meals available. Seats on upper deck have more privacy. Nearly full business class. Bags out
quickly at KUL. KUL-LHR (Business class). On time take off and 20+ minutes early at LHR. Usual high
standards of service with a smile but a couple of seats on the upper deck were not working and passengers
has to change. B747 perhaps getting tired, with timely A380 replacement in July. Nearly full business class.
20+ min wait at LHR for bags.

LHR-KUL. A cramped 747. Good leg room but narrow seats. The food was fine, two meals and a goodie bag
snack. KUL-AKL a more comfortable 777. On the return from KUL to LHR the entertainment system broke
down after 6 hours. Crew were mainly male and very friendly. Again 2 meals and a snack. Beware if you order
a vegetarian meal you will not get the goodie bag . Would only fly this airline again if the price was right.

LAX-AKL via NRT and KUL. Arrived at the airport 5 hours before departure but I was able to check-in. Boarding
was quick and organized. Economy seats were very comfortable and the entertainment system enjoyable.
Cabin crew were extremely friendly and professional. The meals were delicious and the flight smooth. NRT-
KUL was good but could have been better. KUL-AKL was the highlight, staff were personal and offered me
leftover amenity kits from business class.

Paris-Kuala Lumpur on 777. Business class seat was quite comfortable with its own shell and privacy screens.
IFE was plentiful and up to date. Food was excellent Flight attendants were visible and active throughout
flight and offered the signature Malaysian hospitality. Bags reached the carousel quickly after
disembarkation.

Penang to Auckland. Overall very disappointed with this flight. Staff seemed to be understaffed and a bit
flustered at times. Minimal service that was required and that was all we got. I have flown many times on
Singapore Airlines and always found service and quality 5 star, including the extras you get flying them which
you do not get on this airline. Seat is comfortable for economy class and space is good. On this flight the
entertainment system was broken down. Made a 10 hour flight extremely long!

AMS-KUL return. Both flights on fully booked Boeing 777. As I checked-in late, I was seated in the middle of
5 seats (they configure 2-5-2) on both 13 hours flights. Nevertheless, I slept reasonably well as backrest
reclines properly and leg area is ample. Inflight entertainment left nothing to wish for and the crew
professional and friendly. Food and drinks could have been better.

Melbourne-Shanghai (via KLIA), return was Hong Kong-Melbourne (via KL). Smooth flights, on time
departures and earlier than anticipated arrivals. New Airbus A330-300: MEL-KUL then Boeing 777-200 from
KUL-Shanghai. Return out of HKG via KUL to MEL on 777-200 and A330-300 from KUL-MEL. Seat comfort on
new A330-300 was not good, but on the older 777-200, it was much better. Found the A330-300 very loud
but, the Boeing was a lot quieter. Cabin crew on all flights were excellent - friendly and eager to please .
Addressed us by name frequently. Food was tasty and there was plenty of it. Hot towels frequently and
plenty of beverages offered. Found amenities kit very useful.

Recently traveled the new A330 from Melbourne to KUL. The seats are only inclined for sleeping and can be
classed as being in between a premium economy and business Qantas seat. Inflight staff were courteous,
friendly and helpful. Available at all times and service delivered with a smile. The food was very good with
Malaysian delicacies such as Satay and Nasi Lemak. Second helpings were offered. Inflight entertainment
adequate but only main complaint is the inferior headset given.

Flew back from Kuching to KUL and then on to MEL economy with my family. Boarding at both locations not
orderly in spite of calling by row numbers. Crew very pleasant and responsive on both the sectors, very
efficient and courteous with a full flight. Did several rounds of water and juice runs during the 8 hour flight.
The food was tasty however could have rather served lunch than a breakfast for a 10am departure. Mid flight
snacks and ice cream was a nice touch. The pilot updated us with lots of details. Inflight entertainment and
seating was good and the 8 hour flight was tireless. This experience was so much in contrast with a cold crew
en-route MEL-KUL.

This is not the airline that it used to be. No hot towel, amenity kit or menu in economy class. Few drinks
served even though the cabin was very hot. Cabin crew appeared that they did not want to be there. Check-in
staff were not much better. We checked in more than 5 hours before flight time to get an aisle seat and were
told that none were available.

LHR-KUL-MEL. A very long journey but excellent staff efficiency and food made it worth it. First flight on a
747 was not that new but very well kept. The lie flat business class seats made it easy to sleep. The second
flight to Melbourne was even better. The new business class was very comfortable, the food and FAs were
again excellent, especially the satay. I would definitely fly Malaysia again.

Osaka-KL and then KUL-Perth. Osaka flight was on a fairly old looking 777, with old, small TV screens, but
with a reasonable amount of entertainment options. Having flown the brand new A330s with big screens and
full on demand entertainment, returning to the older version on the 777 was a let down. KUL-Perth leg on a
newer A330, but only had some on demand movies. Service on the 2nd flight was less than brilliant, with the
hostess we had seeming a bit annoyed.

KUL-LGK. 7 flight attendants on a 65 minute domestic flight! Brand-new 737-800. One FA suggested I move
to an exit row due to my height (6'4"). Others offered blankets, pillows, etc during boarding. This new 737
has touch-screen in-seat video with dozens of free movies, TV shows, etc. Two beverage services (hand-run)
and one snack service in less than an hour!

Note that most dissatisfied clients are travelling Business Class - I join their ranks. I found the staff service
poor and at times non-existent. After dinner, staff simply disappeared. When I asked a steward for a cup of
tea half-way through the flight, he cited "turbulence" as the reason why he couldn't supply it. There was no
sign of turbulence. I will think long and hard before I use Malaysia Airlines again.

KUL-SYD in business on B777-200. First class lounge quiet and comfortable with a good selection of food.
Priority boarding honoured with separate aerobridge for business class. Cabin crew welcoming, plane in good
condition although cabin could do with an update. Seats comfortable but still angled lie-flat. FAs friendly,
addressing passengers by name. IFE was AVOD with a reasonably good selection. Inflight catering was
reasonably good with the satay always a highlight. Luggage promptly delivered with priority honoured.
Overall, a lovely experience that can only be improved with updates to the hard product.

MLE-KUL-MEL on a new 737-800 and A330-300 on KUL-MEL flight. Check-in at MLE was great and the 737 is
impressive. Business class seats were extremely comfortable, the only drawback was the extremely crowded
cabin which made it hard to go to the lavatory. On boarding the night flight to MEL, the new entertainment
system and seats on A330-300 were excellent. The food and staff were very friendly and fast.

trouble. Flights on time but MH122 was a 747 that could do with an update.

Priority boarding for elite member honoured. Plane showing it's age but was clean and well-maintained.
Generous legroom for economy and seats comfortable. IFE was AVOD but screen a bit on the small side.
Cabin crew efficient and friendly. Main meal was of a good portion size and tasty with frequent drink runs. For

A thoroughly disappointing experience. Return trip from London Heathrow to KL. Both ways the plane was old
and shabby looking. On the return flight the reading light wasn't working and the table broken. My partner's
seat wouldn't stay in an up-right position for take off or landing. Flight attendants were disinterested in
anything other than doing the minimal job - some attention to customer service is always appreciated. Main
meal was awful but no worse than most carriers. Snacks were awful - just sugar/salt/fat filled cookies.

SYD-PEN-SYD in Economy class on ageing but clean and well maintained 747. Outbound flight was like flying
in a bygone era. After quick check-in where we requested exit row seats, to be granted them on a flight
about ¾ full was wonderful. Attentive service from flight attendants and a tasty meal. Service desk in KL
very helpful. Given the departure time for the overnight flight, again it was a pleasant experience. On time
departures and arrivals. MH really need to address their pathetic offerings for “breakfast” on KUL-SYD sector.

My husband, daughter and myself travelled KL-BNE. Departed on time. Flight only 1/2 full so we could spread
out making it a little more comfortable . I was looking forward to enjoying the much advertised "superior
service". However, as soon as brunch was served the window shutters came down and the crew disappeared
until 2 hours before landing when a snack was served. I had to ask for water several times and this was
grudgingly served. The crew appeared lazy and I am in no hurry to travel Malaysia Airlines again.

BNE-KUL. Plane was only half full, made flight very comfortable. Food onboard can only be described as fair,
after taking off at midnight, everyone just wanted a quick snack and a sleep. Breakfast just before landing
was much better. The plane was the new A330. Second flight KUL-PEK, on an old 777. Again the same type of
meals. The plane was old and needed updating. SIN-KUL on a new 737, with leather seats. Meals were a
packet of peanuts and a drink for this 40 mins flight. Return from KUL-BNE again on new A330. Service on
board was high class with the staff helpful and friendly. Overall good value for money.

London-KL. Aircraft was 747 which showed its age and interior quite dated. Seat space fairly decent for
economy class. The let down was the level of service. Cabin crew not very friendly, lacked politeness
bordering on being rude. IFE very limited and screen was hazy and not clear. No AVOD. Saving grace was
food, drinks and snacks in between meals were plentiful. However, no hot towels, no printed menus, no
toothbrush/tooth paste kit, cutlery all plastic in cheap packaging. A lot of improvement needed to bring it to
its former glory.

unlimited drinks. Excellent AVOD with great choice. Seats a little hard but excellent value. New 737-800
from KUL-BKK. Leather seats, full meal service and entertainment on 2 hour flight. Return to KUL on
identical 737 with identical good service from attentive crew. KUL-BKK again excellent. My only gripe is the
long check-in wait at Melbourne Airport. I purchased tickets 10 months before travelling and they were
cheaper that most Budget Carriers.

KUL-BKI return. Outgoing flight on newer 737-800. Although new it looks grubby. The return trip was on the
older but cleaner A330. It looks like MAS has definitely cut costs as no welcome drink or nuts was offered. No
drink runs made on this 2.5 hours flight. The 737-800 has AVOD and the system was switched on, but
earphones were not given out due to it being a domestic flight. Nevertheless, the crew were very friendly and
professional.

Wine list good and my glass was continuously topped up. Satays and entrees were great, the choice of mains
wasn't really to my liking however the meal I ordered was fine. Seat comfortable, cabin ok, just a let down
that it's not a lie flat bed. Great IFE - I noticed they recently doubled their content. Satellite lounge good at
KUL, enjoyed the day bed to sleep on with fairly long layover. Excellent fare considering the indirect routing.
