"only 2 seaters available on the plane"

(United Kingdom)

Trip Verified | Seat 26 H and K. These are the only 2 seaters available on the plane. Very useful for couples. Acres of legroom is another plus factor. Downsides are lack of window and proximity to toilet and the queues for them at certain times.

"tight uncomfortable and cramped"

(Australia)

Trip Verified | I hate to say it but this would have to be the worst Business Class offering I have flown in over 20years. The seats we were allocated in row 2, and were barley even a decent premium economy seat. They were tight uncomfortable and cramped. My wife who had the window seat said it felt like she was trapped in a box. The amount of space allocated for these two seats is appalling. There was no storage whatsoever, not even to rest a drink bottle. Never again.

"comfortable whilst seated upright"

(Australia)

Not Verified | The massage function on this seat did not seem to work well, felt hardly any movement. It was very comfortable whilst seated upright. Once the seat was reclined, and the foot well was very tight. I did not have a good night. A full breakfast was offered after take-off (almost midnight Sydney time). Strangely not many passengers accepted. Prior to landing a light meal was offered. I was asked every time I used the toilets whether I was a business class passenger. The paper towels in the bathroom were so thin it dissolved in wet hands. The lounge was Premium Plaza Lounge and I would not pay good money to use it. Food was limited, the pasta was congealed and the cakes/desserts was dry from sitting too long on display.

"seat comfort was moderate"

(Malaysia)

Trip Verified | The design are beautiful with a great choice of colour. The seats are bit harder compare to the old seat but its slim design make leg room more spacious. The are no IFE but the are phone slot to replace IFE. For me, the seat comfort was moderate but suitable for my 2 hours journey flight.

"The seat was good and comfortable"

(Malaysia)

Trip Verified | The seat was good and comfortable enough for 6 hours flight. The width is big enough for my body. The legroom is modest. Adjustable headrest well function. Lucky enough to occupy all three seats.

"IFE inconsistent and poor"

(Malaysia)

Trip Verified | IFE inconsistent and poor - if you end up flying on one of MAS' 737-800s that have not been refurbished or retrofitted for some reason, despite having a core fleet of 737-800 for a long time now, there won't be any inseat IFEs, even in business class. If you do get to board a "standard" 737-800, you'll find the IFE rather outdated and tedious to use, compared to other similar airlines. Endless clicking and scrolling just to look for movies/music/shows - very poor user interface and leads to passengers spending too much time holding the remote, which is not ideal given the current situation. Flight Info function was not working at all on one flight, which was inconvenient.

"legroom and seat width is sufficient"

(Malaysia)

Trip Verified | Seat was decent and clean, the legroom and seat width is sufficient. But one thing that annoys me is the seat recline not functioning. The economy class cabin needs refurbishment because it is still the same cabin I have been a few years ago. The seat does not have a headrest. The IFE system is decent but outdated although the entertainment content is still up to date. The interface needs a new look, including the system and console itself.

"Borderline as cramped as economy class"

(New Zealand)

Auckland to Kuala Lumpur on an A330-200. Generally I'm not wider than the BC seat, but even the crew said this plane was poor - there's not even a crew area. Whoever conceived the old A330-200 design obviously had no intentions of spending 10+ hours there. c. The food and service was ok, not the best I've ever had on Malaysia Airlines, but acceptable - 2 perhaps 3 staff for maybe 13-16 customers ? I am at KL now and earnestly hoping to get some sleep on the A350-900 from Kuala Lumpur to LHR cos sleeping on the A330-200 was nigh on impossible except for early teen size people.

"Do not choose last few rows"

(Malaysia)

Trip Verified | Although the configuration for the seats are 2-4-2, the configuration at the rear are 2-3-2. As I thought this would give me extra space, I was very wrong. The seat is not aligned to the front thus causing some weird angles for your legs, making the whole flight extremely uncomfortable. Do not choose the last few rows.

"a narrow and short space"

(United Kingdom)

Trip Verified | Another leg and another disappointment. We had reserved our seats months ago and by the time we checked in online we were moved with no reason to the back of the second cabin. In spite of telephone calls and conversations with manages at both Sydney airport and KL airport there was nothing they were able to do for us not even an upgrade to business suite. I am Gold/Esmerald member of OneWorld. Malaysia airlines Business class seats were designed for a much smaller population. I am 5” 10” and I struggled to lay flat. It is a narrow and short space. The bulk head seats are the best if you are tall and our were taken away for no apparent reason. The cabin service is somehow scatty. If you don’t ask them for what you want they don’t offer you. Politeness on this particular flight was not apparent. The food & drinks were good. But do not wait for a top up. They will not come around unless you buzz them . Entertainment is very poor 2 blockbuster new movies. Once you have watched on the way out there is not much to watch on the return flight. Even though Malaysia offers individual seats they are not the most comfortable or spacious. Their service has changed since last time I have flown with them. It is not as attentive as used to be. Malaysia Arlines would not be my first, second or third option when I fly back to Australia. There are a couple airlines offering a better service, entertainment and space. Disappointed.
