AMS-KUL-CGK on Y. Adequate, friendly and efficient service. Quite a lot of legroom, and good IFE on
the 747. A330 from KUL-CGK was a bit worn out however, but more legroom, choice of two very good
meals, overall a complete and enjoyable service. After a stopover in KUL it was very nice to have
the facility to check in our bags already at the Central train station, and walk around KL lightly
the rest of the day. However, that one is obliged to use the KLIA express to be able to check in at
the station felt a bit like corruption. Its a very convenient train service, but also very pricey to
local standards. DPS-KUL-AMS on Y. First flight on an oldish but comfortable A330. With almost 8
hours transfer time in KL it was easy to hop into the city with the KLIA Express. KUL-AMS was a late
night flight however inflight service was both efficient and very personal. Lavatories kept spotless
throughout the flight. I found the food on the shorter flights to/from Indonesia actually nicer and
better presented than on the long haul ones. However, with a choice of three meals on
intercontinental flights I had nothing to complain. Overall, a very warm experience.

KUL-LHR. The flight was full and delayed for 1 hour. But crew keep bringing drinks and snacks for
the passenger. The crew service was excellent. The food is a little bit tasteless but who cares. Got
3 selection on the supper and 2 selection for the breakfast. Everything was nice and had a great
experience with MAS.

TPE-KUL-CDG on Y. Check-in in Taipei was swift due to the light load (60% in Y). Overall standard MH
flight with friendly crew and good food, though portions are significantly reduced. MH provides free
daytime accommodation and 2 meals for my 12-hour transit, but being Malaysian I'd rather check-out
and savour authentic Malaysian food downtown, just 28 min away from KLIA. Flight to Paris was
delayed by almost 3 hours, though captain kept us well-informed and FAs were very accommodating. 95%
load on Y, but being able to sleep for 4 hours in the same cabin with a handful of infants is a
godsend. Dinner was smallish though the breakfast prior to landing was very nice. Crew was
excellent. Flight supervisor made frequent trips down the cabin.

MEL-KUL return in Economy Class. Both sectors service standards are acceptable, however noticed a
drop in standards, there was really no choice of main meal (both variants had Chicken), the quality
of cutlery etc was noticeably poor. No menu cards distributed. The hot towels after departure and
prior to landing now replaced with small cold paper napkins. Cost cutting measures are in place and
it is not long before this airline loses its 5 star rating.

LHR-KUL-PEN on C class. Our 4th experience with MH business class. Upgraded to business class at LHR
with our frequent flyer points and the staffs were very helpful to upgrade us from economy class as
it was a last minute confirmation. Flight from LHR-KUL was uneventful with staffs were ever so
helpful and friendly. Food was served never ending and they always checked on us to make sure we
were comfortable. Food was delicious with a few choices to choose from. Lie-flat seat was
comfortable although not totally flat. KUL-PEN flight a short flight but very comfortable. Overall,
the long haul journey was made comfortable with the friendly treatment of the cabin crew.

Brisbane-KL-Tokyo & Osaka-KL-Sydney, business. Outstanding product. Excellent service from friendly
and efficient cabin crew. Food and drinks plentiful. Good IFE system. 777 product better than 747
because of additional room. Overall a very good experience.

KUL-HANOI-KUL. KUL-Hanoi duration: 3hr 25min. Meal a snack box containing cold chicken quiche, pack
of crackers, a croissant and yoghurt drink. Hanoi- KUL duration 3hr 25min a snack box with choice of
fruit salad or chicken salad with chickpeas, cucumber & tuna sandwich and grapes. MH is stretching
snack boxes services for 3hr 25 min flights way too thin. I wonder if MH is also serving such snack
boxes on KUL-HKG-KUL flights because they are merely 25 min difference in flight time.
The amount of effort to make the boxes look good is phenomenal however, imagine the recycling
nightmare. The only admirable thing on these flights were the flight attendants were up to mark.

HKG-KUL-DPS return. The seats were quite comfortable, meals acceptable and the cabin crews were
nice. However there was no PTV in all 4 flights.

Business Class BNE-KUL-NRT, KIX-KUL-SYD & KIX. Friendly & attentive FAs, good & plentiful food &
drinks. Good IFE. Seats on 777 very roomy, less so on 747. Seat very comfortable for sitting &
reclining, takes some getting used to for sleeping as not quite flat but OK.

Travelled with wife from Auckland to KL, onto HKG and return to KL, to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and
home via KL. In flight, everything was fine, but on the ground, absolutely appalling. Upgraded
from AKL to KUL into Business class, thank goodness, as we had a medical emergency and a detour via
Darwin. Four hours late into KL, no ground staff for arriving passengers at midnight, with
everything shut. Plenty of staff for transfer passengers though. Tried to change booking from HKG
to go direct to Kota Kinabalu, but stone-walled at every turn. A potential three hour flight took
nearly nine hours due to MH stonewalling. Nobody even suggested that we could do it if we paid a
penalty, just a straight NO, you cannot change. To cap it all, we were eventually offered upgrades
from KL to AKL, at a premium that was more than the Bus class fare! How's that for a rip-off.

Overall my flights with MAS was pleasant with great inflight service. However the ground staff were
pretty stupid. I had a confirmed flight KUL-HKG last month. Few days before I called up the
ticketing office to enquire about Business Class upgrade using my enrich miles. They didn't get back
to me until 2 days before my actual flight. What they mentioned to me was only the amount of points
required for the upgrade. So I told them I'll get back to them as I wasn't sure. On the flight day
itself, I went to KL Sentral to check in. Unfortunately the system was down and was told to check in
at the airport itself. So I took the Express train to KLIA where I was told by the staff that my
booking has been canceled. The flight was full and the best they could do was to put me on the next
available morning flight on the next day. They didn't bother to compensate me although they knew
they wrongly cancelled my booking when I just called up to enquire for upgrades. I spent USD 150
for a night at the hotel nearby and nearly missed my business meeting the day after - although the
flight journey was pleasant the whole experienced was totally messed up.

A330 KUL-KCH Business Class. The seats were old but had a good seat pitch, recline and leg rest.
Welcoming drinks served promptly with hot towels. A selection of newspapers offered to passengers.
The meal service was excellent.

KL-Seoul with my 8mth old. The airline was more than accommodating with not just multiple on-board
requests and assistance but also in transporting bassinet et al. Prior to booking, I called the
customer hotline on three separate occasions and each person served my queries with exemplary
patience.

MEL-KUL Economy. Check in agent was helpful and was able to help with seating request. Food was
good, seat pitch impressive (13K). The cabin manager walked the aircraft and talked to the
passengers ensuring that they were comfortable.

Beijing to KL in business class. Very disappointing as there was no personal video. - clearly an
older aircraft was used on this occasion. Seats typical of this with manual adjustments (no power
assistance) but recline and foot rest were comfortable enough. Friendly service. Satay served as
appetisers is authentic Malaysian and excellent. The stewardess told me that all their satay is
always loaded in KL, even for the return leg. The rest of the food was typical of good East Asian
airlines. The hardware on this occasion was tired and a serious let down, definitely not 5 stars.

AMS-KUL on B747-400, a pleasurable experience. Crew very friendly and warm towards passengers and
nothing seemed too much trouble. Comfortable seats and legroom good. Inflight video screen was a
little small but fine. Meals excellent, snacks and drinks served throughout the flight. Landed ahead
of schedule and luggage was at the reclaim very fast upon arrival.

DXB-KUL (via KHI) and KUL-DXB in economy; BKK-KUL flight delayed and I was rebooked on TG in order
to make my connection. All other MH flights on time, but that's that only exciting thing I can say
about the airline. DXB-KUL on A330 without TV screen in seats and general entertainment system out
of order, return same aircraft type but at least with in-seat screens. Service ok, but food quality
and quantity rather poor to average.

Malaysia Airlines Input
KUL to PEN Economy on an Airbus A330. Plane old, carpeting torn and shredded in some places, the
seats hard and not at all comfortable, unlike the other MH Airbus flight I took when going to CAN
and back recently. A330 must have been leased from European airline, the safely instruction is in
German, with a sticker in the local language placed over it in the next seat from mine. I always
choose to fly with MH whenever possible, despite their mostly vintage planes, I find their inflight
service top-class. In all my experience the cabin crew are nice and friendly. They do go out of
their way to make you feel welcomed and are happy to help.

CAN to KUL return J class. Overall a good experience with very friendly and capable staff, splendid
food and wine and a decent price. MAS seem to have overcome the difficulties of the last few years
and maybe there is hope that they can capitalise on their fantastic staff. My only gripe is that
both flights were with a rather tired A330-300 and no flat beds (they get the HKG and PVG flights),
however the entire experience, including the lounge / service at KLIA was excellent.

MEL-KUL-LHR-KUL-MEL. IFE worked well all flights. Selection not as extensive as other airlines like
QF. Excellent leg room. Cabin crew from MEL-KUL faultless - other flights were hit and miss. We got
the impression they wanted to get the service over and done with. No amenity kits for long flight to
LHR.

KUL-BKI return Y class. Flight left KLIA on time and onboard service was polite and efficient. The
planes are looking a little tatty though, and the limp cold sandwiches in a box were very
disappointing. MAS used to serve decent food on its short haul flights. Deplaning and luggage
collection was swift for both legs. Not a five star experience with this type of cheap meal though.

SYD-KUL-JOG-BOM-KUL-SYD. The cabin crew were smiling and attentive to all needs. Emergency row seats
provided upon request on all legs. Entertainment system on wide body planes worked great on all
legs. Beer and Whisky freely available and meals very acceptable. The only exception was on the
short leg between KUL and JOG (2.5 hours), where the morning meal was definitely less than par for a
5 star airline. What's more, luggage lost in Mumbai, ground crew in KL were understanding and
catered for needs. It was located after a week and returned to Sydney very swiftly.
