Paris to Kuching via Kuala Lumpur. A domestic transfer from Borneo to the mainland from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur and return at the end of my holiday from Kuala Lumpur to Paris. The intercontinental flights were operated with B777-200. The domestic flights with a B737-400. Excellent service on all flights. Very good food (also complimentary food at the domestic flights). Very good selection of entertainment on AVOD. friendly flight attendants. The only difference between my last flights in the summer of 2005 was that then they came around every hour between the meal services with juices and water. On the flights this summer. Between the meal services you must ask it when you would have an other drink.

Flew on 7 flights with MH during August within Malaysia and Asia. Overall the flights are good and on time but I feel that upgrades are necessary if they are to maintain their 5 star status. I flew a mix of B737/A330 and B777. B737's are really old, A330 is ok but has no AVOD which can be boring for a flight longer than 3hours. B777 is ok and has AVOD but no LCD screen as other airlines. AVOD has a good selection and is probably in the top 5 out there. Service ranged from okay to very good but the food was disappointing. Generally it was so-so only and disgusting out of Shanghai. I found the staff on the domestic flights to be politer than on international flights. KLIA is a good airport to transit through and facilities are nice. Fares on MH are very competitive and I prefer to fly within Malaysia on MAS instead of AirAsia. I think it is a good 4.5 star airline.

SYD-KUL return F Class. Seat and cabin extremely spacious and comfortable, cabin crew polite, addressed by name, engage in conversation and help in every way. Very uneventful, crew made bed straight after meal service and 7.5 hours passed very quickly. First off the plane and baggage was first on the belt. I must also add that pyjamas given onboard extremely comfortable.

IST-KUL return. On first leg upgraded to Business, which was superb in terms of food, service and IFE. Seat angled lie-flat and comfortable. Return leg Economy, seats, although old, very comfortable with neckrest, IFE very good, food tasteful and lots of it. Good selection of beverages (wine, beer, juices). Web interface very nice, web check in good.

Singapore - Kuala Lumpur - Tokyo return in a mixture of B737s and B777s. The aircraft are quite old especially the B737s, seat comfort was acceptable but don't like the B777 seats layout 2x5x2. Inflight catering out of Tokyo was good but the rest was quite tasteless. The inflight entertainment was limited. Japanese cabin crew KL to Tokyo good, but other crew are quite robotic and with no smiles. Overall a reliable airline and with the low fare of S$490 paid it is super value for money - but it don't look like a 5 star airline to me.

Never again! Booked return flight AMS-JKT via KUL. Cabin temperature too low so that I arrived sick at destination. Return flight even worse. At transit in KUL we were given new seats and separated from wife and infant kid. Ground crew was quite insensitive, impolite and rude to our objections and had no choice to accept poor seat. Return flight operated by KLM and have the impression that MAS passengers get the left over seats. Our initial good seats were probably given away to better paying KLM passengers.

Perth to KL with elderly parents. Parents travelled business, we travelled economy. We were originally promised confirmed seating in at least the forward cabin, but at the check in were relegated to the rear of the aircraft - both ways, so much for caring for the elderly parents. After completing customers forms for my parents and going forward to get signatures, the flight crew tried to summarily evict me from the cabin, even after I explained I only wanted signatures and would then leave. No consideration at all. Same occurred on the return journey, so it wasn't just one set of crew.

We recently flew back from KL to Johannesburg, we arrived at KL from Phuket at around 8-30pm to get our connecting flight to JHB at 1am - there was no announcement of a delay, only on departures board showing delayed departure 3am. We were offered a voucher for a Burger at the cheapest outlet in the Airport. By this stage we were very tired as we had been at the Airport 7 hours, we asked if we could be put in a hotel as there was a further delay on the Departure Board to 7am. We were told no! We were given a thin blanket and a pillow and told we could then sleep in the departure lounge which would be opened to us as we had complained there was not enough seats for everyone to sit. We were one of many people that missed connecting flights. Once landing in JNB we were told by the Malaysia Airlines representative we must sort out our connecting flights and pay if we had to. I think the whole experience was very bad.

Business

ICN-KUL on A330 in Business. The A330 is worn out and dirty. The service depends on individual flight attendant, but acceptable. The satay was great and the meal service was very good. Later in the flight, they offered snacks and drinks. They provide you with small PTVs with a selection of inflight entertainment - selections were not bad, but my only gripe about MH is that they need to provide children's movies/ tv selections. Also, it is very difficult to eat and watch a movie because there is not enough space. The seats are cradle type and if the person in front of you fully reclines, it can be a bit tight. The food is excellent. MH is worth flying, but only if you receive a very good price.

CGK-KUL-PVG vv. B734 both ways were tired, seats not comfortable. B777 to PVG quite comfortable. A333 back feels old, 1 hr delay at PVG, leg-space quite good, food not as good as outbound flight, and the worst of it all, a 5 hrs flight facing the back of a seat with no AVOD isn't a 5-star airline product.

KUL-BNE. Excellent if occasionally turbulent flight, seats in row 16 with good leg room and very comfortable, excellent IFE, cabin crew very efficient and appeared within seconds of pressing call button as well as regular offers of drinks etc. Brunch was very good, very filling and followed later by offers of ice cream.
