Frankfurt to Caracas, flight LH534 on 20 November 2012. Plane was a fairly new A340-600. Flight left and
arrived on time. Although I am 6 foot tall the seating was reasonably comfortable for the 10 hour 15 minute
flight. After all this was economy and one can't expect a lot more. The flight attendants were pleasant, polite
and helpful and didn't all disappear to the crew rest areas. Two hot meals and a snack were served with
ample alcoholic beverages. Also plenty of soft drinks and water were offered repeatedly, so no reason for
dehydration! I thought that putting a suite of toilets downstairs on the A340 -600 was a great idea as it kept
the aisles largely free. There appeared to be at least one toilet at the rear of the plane for those who might
find the steps awkward. One slight criticism. I felt that the cabin temperature could have been a couple of
degrees cooler. All in all a good experience and will use again.

FRA-DEL-FRA (Economy) on brand-new B 747-800. The new Jumbo is a definite improvement to Lufthansa's B
747-400: more legroom, more comfortable seats, individual IFE, less engine noise. Food - a choice between
Indian vegetarian and Western non-veg - was among the best I have had on any flight in recent years. The
crew - a mix of nationalities - was not only efficient but also friendly.

FRA-VKO: excellent cabin crew. VKO-FRA: poor service by cabin crew, even though business was almost
empty. FRA-DUB: excellent cabin crew even though business was fuller and flight shorter. Consistency is
important. My bag did not arrive in DUB even with more than one hour turnaround at FRA.

Flight from Munich to Frankfurt Main. An Airbus A321-100, over 10 years old, but in good condition. Nice FA's,
very good seats - for 75€.

I wasn't impressed with Lufthansa's business class on their new B747-8i which I recently flew to Delhi. I
expected quite a revolutionary upgrade to their existing business seats but except for the larger screen and
flatter seat, there is not much more to offer. I find the upper deck cabin to be too large and commercial.
Flying business on the older B747-400 is a much more comfortable experience. I also find catering on
Lufthansa to be meagre, the trays are all too small and the variety of food available limited. The trays ought
to match those served in economy, may even be smaller. Service is sterile and mechanical, though friendly
and mildly warm. Toilets were not serviced when we boarded and remained the same throughout the flight.
Overall, disappointed. There are better options to fly long haul which offer much better soft/hard products.

Just traveled directly from Munich to Boston and had a very pleasant trip. Despite waiting to depart to wait
for other passengers from delayed connecting flights, we made it to Boston in excellent time. Before leaving,
flight attendants were politely assisting passengers who needed to change seats and making sure everyone
was satisfied. My seat was relatively comfortable. Inflight entertainment system was not as advanced and
didn't have as many up-to-date choices as, say, Swiss Airlines, but it kept me happy for the 8+ hour flight.
The best thing I have to say about the flight was the food. Apparently I was the only that ordered a special
meal (vegetarian). The flight attendants came to assure me my request had been granted. Served a warm
orzo and vegetable medley and tofu and cheese wrapped sushi-style with a slice of zucchini topped with a
light red sauce. It came with a bowl of fruit, salad, a tasty roll, and a wedge of Camembert. My light snack
was a delightful cheese and vegetable sandwich on whole wheat bread. All in all, it was a great experience
on Lufthansa.

NRT A380 FRA A346 JFK - First on LH A380 is luxe, even without the shower. I did happen to be the only
passenger in First on 11/26 so that probably skewed service a bit. Food and beverage plentiful and IFE very
good. Large bathrooms a nice touch. Cabin a bit warm in temp. Connection in FRA. Spent about an hour in
the LH First Class Terminal. Impeccable service levels here as well. Bathroom suite provided choice of Bath
or Shower. Pre-flight dining the finest I've seen. Chauffeur to aircraft. FRA to JFK First on the A346 was
totally full but service levels were very high. Food and beverage high quality and plentiful. Smallish IFE
screen only detractor.

IST-FRA-BOS-FRA-IST, IST-FRA-IST was with TK. FRA-BOS-FRA was on an old fashioned 744 but the seats
were good. Crew was helpful and they've managed to communicate with my grandparents (they both can't
speak any foreign languages).

STR-FRA-SEA. Check-in in Stuttgart was OK. One person for Star Alliance Gold. The downside was, that they
could not give me my boarding card for the FRA-SEA portion as it was on a separate reservation. It was on LH
but their systems can not handle this between STR and FRA. First flight was uneventful and we arrived with a
30 minute delay due to weather. Flight from FRA to SEA left about 45 minutes late. Business was about 30%
occupied. Typical LH flight. German flight attendants with the German attitude but you get used to it. IFE is
not the best on LH and the old seats on the A330 are not comfortable. But it is a direct flight.

Amman to Houston. Check in process in Amman a bit complicated as I changed from economy class to
business class within 2 hours of the departure time. There is not a "proper" business class section in the
aircraft used for Amman to Frankfurt leg. Same economy class seat used but they do block out the middle
seat. Transfer to the ongoing flight to Houston was fairly smooth although you have to go through security
again which takes time. Paying extra for business class is definitely worth the money when you see the very
long line economy passengers had to endure. A380 from Frankfurt to Houston. Business class lounge in
terminal Z in Frankfurt is quite nice, food and beverages are adequate. Boarding was flawless as you just
scan your boarding pass which opens one of gates. Upper deck of A380 used exclusively for First and
Business class travelers. Personally thought business class seats were poor. Seats are about 10 years out of
date, do not lie flat! Entertainment system is miserable as far as content goes. Very limited selection in each
category. Seems that Lufthansa has skimped on paying for content. Flight attendants are great. Pretty good
value for money. However, Lufthansa needs to step it up a bit.

After many quality regional flights I was looking forward to my first long haul with LH. What a let down it
turned out to be! Initial service good but plummeted as the flight went on. Food boring and tasteless. IFE
poor quality, unreliable and terrible, dated choices. The seats had seen better days, hard, short and
particularly uncomfortable on the neck! If you're 1.6m or less you might have had some leg room. As a
travelling serviceman my extra bag travelled free on the outbound but could only return for a fee of $150!
This turned my attention to other passengers cabin baggage. Particularly a passenger boarding with a guitar
and 2 bags! Cabin staff were inattentive and lacked attention to detail. The plane landed with passengers
reclined in their seats, cups of water (full) in the seat backs and a young child sleeping across 2 seats with
no seat belt on. I will not consider LH for any future long haul flights.

LHR-FRA-HKG in Business class. Quick and friendly check in and semi-fast track. Star Alliance lounge very
busy but ok. Boarding quick and warm welcome on board. Middle seat free and in fact my row 1 was only me.
Dinner was ham and cheese salad and a small dessert. The biggest surprise was the Senator lounge which is
massive and so comfortable (much better than the old Senator lounge) and when I was there in the evening,
although busy, it was still seemed empty! Food uninspiring, compared to say BA's lounge offerings. Quick
boarding through a separate line and again a warm welcome. Pre-take off champagne and amenity kits and
water. Dinner service was good both in terms of the food, wine and service. Even on the sloped flat seat I
managed to sleep for about 6 hours before waking for a decent hot breakfast. Landed on time but bags slow
to come off and my bag was not amongst the first (normally transfer bags are quick to come off especially if
F/J). Nonetheless a good experience.

DUS-VIE-LCA flight return with VIE-LCA with Austrian Airlines. DUS-VIE return flights were good with an
737-500 inbound and CRJ900 return. 737-500 is old but you don't really see that. Nice interior and
yoghurt/muesli and coffee, tea, juice or soda. Return flight with the new CRJ was very nice. Almost no noise
from the engine and a smooth 1hr 20min flight to Düsseldorf. The same nice food and very young but
professional cabin attendants on this flight. Seats we're nice as we we're at the emergency exits once again.
No IFE on this flight but who needs IFE on a 1.5hr flight?

Munich - Istanbul. A very pleasant flight. A320 looked brand new, the seats were comfortable with plenty of
pitch and the food and service were excellent. And as a nice touch the chief stewardess greeted us by name
and welcomed us as guests from New Zealand.

LHR-BUD via Dusseldorf. Flight delayed 1.5 hrs meaning we missed connection but told we would
automatically be put on the next. Arrived at DUS and we were met by unfriendly agent at transfer desk who
said we were not guaranteed to get on any flight. Eventually we did make a connection arriving 4 hrs late.
Then we found no baggage had made it. Flight to DUS was 737 with virtually full load, connection also a 737
with full load. Food choice was a cheese pastry on both flights with no other choice. Flights back via Munich
on Emb190 and A321. Nice seats, same food choice! Luggage went missing for a week, customer service
absolutely abysmal.

Having flown 5 times within the previous month on Lufthansa regional flights we were looking forward to the
long haul (FRK-YVR). The leather seats were delightful, the attendants charming and helpful, the food
excellent. (Better than many restaurants). Bit of a shock to find that the seats for the long haul flight were
hard as bricks and the IFE system was dreadful. Same excellent standard for food, drink and staff, but the
flight was so uncomfortable we won't be doing that again. We'll certainly use them on regional flights but not
for international again unless we have no choice.

FRA-SIN-FRA on old fashioned 747. To put such a bad Business product on such an important route is
ridiculous. No lie-flat seats, poor IFE and a cabin crew which was unable to cope with a full load in Business
Class. Food quantity and quality on board good to very good, lounges very good, staff professional but the
personal touch was absolutely missing.
