SYD-DPS-SYD. Food reasonable. Only showed 1 movie on the 5.5 hour flight - ice-cream is a nice
touch. Flight back left at midnight and placed to the side of the middle toilets which meant that
the smell stayed with us the whole way. Woken up at 3am to have breakfast which consisted of either
an omellete (like rubber) or satay chicken with a sachet of chilli sauce. I find it hard to sleep
on planes and I don't understand why they can't show 2 movies instead of the first at 3.30 am.
Flight over would have been 3.5 stars but flight back on 2 stars.

DPS-MEL Business Class. The very early morning (1am) flight was excellent. As soon as we were
seated, with a refreshing champagne or juice, the staff were quiet and obliging. I was unwell with
flu and they arranged it so no one sat next to me in seat 1A. I was supplied with extra pillows,
blankets and a large cognac, then the lights in the BC cabin were dimmed and we all managed a good
sleep. For the first time in many years, I found the breakfast edible, in fact quite nice. There
isn't much choice in flying to Bali any more but Garuda will still get my vote over Jetstar any day.

2 April 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
Jakarta - Bangkok. The worst aspect of this flight is the inconvenient schedule; the flight departs
at 10pm and arrives at 1.30 am (on the return, the flight departs BKK at 2.30am) Disinterested and
unhelpful check- in staff at Soekarno Hatta airport. The flight was average. The crew was friendly
and efficient, cabin interior okay but the food and drinks service was below standard. A better
option is Thai Airways but at the time I booked, a ticket on THAI was 50% more expensive than
Garuda. Air Asia has just started flying this route with more convenient flight times and cheap
fares.

21 March 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
Have flown Garuda to and from Bali 6 times now. First two were Brisbane- Denpasar. Friendly crew,
great food, and I dont see why people complain about IFE. On the last trip we were at the back of
the plane but thats no matter as they serve the meals back to front. And also at Bali they have two
skybridges - so being at the back is actually better. Blankets are complimentary for every seat. All
in all a great airline.

OSA-JKT-PER return. All sectors departed and arrived on time. FA's including the ground staff were
very helpful and friendly and seem to enjoy their job. Transit in Jakarta easy and quick. Aircraft
was A330, interior was nice and clean. IFE is a joke compared to their competitors but the price was
far less than other carriers on the same route. For the price I paid I will fly and recommend this
airline to everyone.

2 March 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
BKK-CGK-DPS on B734. Bangkok-Jakarta flights are night flights flights were about 66 percent full.
Clean interior, smiling crew left good impression on all flights. Safety features presented through
TV screen only. Bangkok - Jakarta sector 2 options of main food offered (beef/rice and
noodles/chicken). Among drinks wine was available. I had 5 hour stopover in Jakarta. However, after
arriving at 6 am I asked from Garuda airport desk if there are any free seats on some earlier
flights and my waiting time was reduced to only 2 hours. Transfer in Jakarta was easy. Jakarta -
Denpasar flights both nearly full and one choice of meal was offered. There was no entertainment at
on Bangkok-Jakarta flight. Entertainment shown from overhead screens on Jakarta-Denpasar-Jakarta
flights. Jakarta-Bangkok flight headsets were given for listening music. Overall, not as flashy as
Singapore Airlines or Emirates, but I found service friendly and would be ready to fly them again as
they tend to offer the best price.

12 February 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
BPN-DPS via UPG. Business Class. Lounge was okay. Not impressed by the food onboard, it looked
better in Economy. Lounge in Makasar was better. Unimpressive flight. Staff friendly enough. Seat
standard, same as Economy, but cabin was divided by curtains. No atmosphere, when I flew from CGK to
BPN in Economy, there were people laughing, friendly, even the baby crying behind me didn't bother
me. I think Garuda need to make the price difference for Business into a real difference.

21 January 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
AMI-CGK-SIN in Executive Class. The business class seats in the 737-300s are noticeably more
comfortable than those in the 737-400: bulkhead row in particular has more legroom. GA assigns a
group of the 737-300s to the CGK-SIN route. FAs friendly, prompt; meals simple (chicken or beef and
rice) but quite good, and plenty of food. Flights were very close to on-time; connection at CGK very
easy. All-in-all, a good experience, and will use GA again in future.

1 January 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
JAK-YOG-JAK. The cabin was clean and attentive cabin crew offered cakes and soft drinks during the
55-minute trip. I guess Garuda is improving its service, and although the price of the ticket is
high at US$141 round trip, its' well worth it.

23 December 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
DPS-CGK: My first experience flight using A330-300 GA. Flight was on time with nearly empty
passengers. Cabin looked fresh. Seat pitch 34" in Y class but seat width was horrible. FAs are
polite and communicative but they're looked tired because they're first leg from KIX-DPS. Dinner was
delicious and FAs offer choices of drinks. No PTV and headphones. An average flight similar to 3
star airlines.

11 October 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
SIN-DPS on an old but clean Boeing 737-400. The economy class was full but only a few passengers in
business class. Apple juice offered after the door was closed and after take off staff distributed
blankets. FAs are friendly and gracious. Dinner in economy a choice of chicken or beef. There was a
choice of alcoholic drinks. There's not much in terms of entertainment but the ceiling TVs showed
comedy. What I don't like about Garuda are the delays but this flight was on time.

CGK-DPS-CGK. Crew friendly and polite. They EY seat pitch in both the B737-400 and the B747-400 that
operated the flight generous. However the cabin looked a bit tatty but clean. A hot meal was served on
the short flights. The choice of beverage was also good. As it was the muslim fasting month,
passengers that were fasting were given a takeaway box. Overall, I was very happy with the quality of
the service. The only minus was that the crew didn't care about passengers with seats in recline,
using mobile phones and leaving bags in front of the window hatch on the B737-400 flight. With the
negative preception that Indonesian airlines have with safety, they should make the extra effort to
show that there is a culture of safety in the airline.

7 August 2007
Economy MEL-DPS. The seats on Garuda A330s aren't terribly comfortable, but the legroom is
exceptional. Flight attendants were pretty mixed - some quite friendly, some shy, while others were
real scowlers! They were all ages too. The safety demo was quite a learning experience - none of the
FAs appeared to give supporting evidence, with only a video showing the safety features of the
aircraft. As far as safety goes, Garuda seem pretty lax about passengers putting up seat backs, etc.
The food served on this flight was quite good - choice of fish or chicken, with metal cutlery and non-
disposable containers etc. It's certainly something you don't see much these days, and it's nice to
see Garuda haven't skimped on some things in their cost-cutting attempts to get profitable. Ice cream
was also served for dessert. Inflight entertainment is where Garuda really lets itself down - only
main screen entertainment which isn't sufficient for a five and a half hour flight these days. Toilet
facilities on the A330 on the way over were pitiful - dirty, and a section of the wall was falling
away! The return flight home was much the same. We were in the same seats as the way over, but
disappointingly we were served a meal just after take off and then ignored for most of the rest of the
flight. Who wants a meal at midnight? Sandwiches were offered a few hours into the flight, but this
still wasn't an ideal arrangement. FAs were much the same as well - funny to see a flight attendant
with her head in her hands having a snooze at the back of the aircraft. Overall, Garuda's performance
on this int'l route was excellent - service and product were consistent throughout and it's nice not
having to worry about ordering extras like food when you fly Jetstar to Bali.

CGK-BTM-CGK. Delayed departure on both sectors; no announcements or
updates. Aircraft tatty 737-300. Catering so-so; barely edible.
Ceiling TVs showed a corporate GA video (without audio) - pointless. No
space for cabin baggage, as most passengers who boarded before us seemed
to have 3-4 pieces of carry-on baggage each. For domestic flights, I
have to say that AirAsia offer a superior product.

6 March 2007
Business class flights within Indonesia (Bali-Makassar-Manado). We were
greeted warmly, our bags made it just fine, and they even held a plane
in order to meet our late plane. The flight attendants were more than
polite. The food is not really good to eat if it's catered in Indonesia.
There's little choice within the country as far as airlines and compared
with Merpati or Wings, Garuda is pretty classy.

CGK-DPS return and CGK-PDG return within last month. Garuda are
definitely continuing to market themselves on service as they can't
compete on price with other local carriers. However, the new 'plus plus'
service in economy doesn't always work like in the advertisement. The
free newspaper is a joke - if there are any left over from business
class then these are distributed in economy just like before. I also
note that punctuality on domestic sectors seems to be getting worse of
late. This is compounded by Garuda's habit of bringing in domestic
flights to the international side of Terminal 2 at Jakarta (presumably
so that the aircraft is ready to take out an international flight) then
bussing passengers back to the domestic side with the baggage following
at a VERY leisurely pace. I have been a loyal customer of Garuda for
some time but if this is 'plus plus' service then maybe I shall check
out the competition. I'm getting sick of arriving half an hour late
then standing around for another half hour waiting for baggage.

PKU-SIN in Business class. Outbound flight not bad - on time departure
and nice meal, friendly FA. However on inbound flight the FA was rude
to my friend when she was looking for a place to stow her bag. Garuda
need to upgrade how their FA serve the passengers or provide them a
personality development course! We were given ridiculously inedible
food - whoever heard of sushi without accompanying soy sauce, coupled
with cold cuts?

DPS-SYD return. As this trip was for a special occasion, I decided to
upgrade to Business Class. Both flights were relatively on-time (for
Garuda anyway) being 1 hour late. Staff were excellent. Very
disappointed that IFE was broken on both legs. This seems to be the case
in more than 50% of the international flights I take with Garuda. Makes
me wonder how they manage some of the more complex aircraft systems if
they cannot get the IFE working. Probably my last international flight
with Garuda.

22 August 2006
Jakarta - Banda Aceh Economy Class. B737-300, spotless. Ample seat
pitch, especially compared to the KLM economy seats on an aged B747-400
I flew the day before on AMS-CGK. Check-in a breeze, flight left in
time. Excellent tasty breakfast served by friendly and efficient cabin
staff, serving extra drinks during the flight. Otherwise an uneventful
journey, arrival on schedule. A very good product. Garuda is certainly
the preferred airline for domestic flights for punctuality and quality.
But you have to pay for it; the fare is high compared to other domestic
carriers like Lion Air, Adamair and others.

Flying Garuda takes you back to the 70's or 60's - in a positive sense.
Seat pitch that is enough for even long persons, great in-flight meals
and even EdT in the lavatories (I flew Jakarta-Pekanbaru and back). The
Indonesians are just naturally friendly and the hostesses make no
exception. And it feels they want to be even more cordial to foreigners.

MEL-DPS and return. My wife and I were very favourly impressed with the two flights ,each in

I am Indonesian and have used Garuda many many times, mostly to Auckland New Zealand, because I
live in Auckland. Firstly the price is among the cheapest compared to other airlines in the world. The space is quite
big - and unlimitted beer. Food is not so bad for the international flights. Flight attendants are
friendly. The worst thing about this airline is that it's not on time mostly. For Auckland to Denpasar Flight,
I never once exeperienced an on-time flight. The worst time was when the flight was delayed for 5
hours, and then finally was delayed to the next day, and we got a free hotel which was useless for
me, because I went home. And sometimes there are delays for both the international flight, and the connecting domestic
flight. Domestic flights use quite old Boeing 737 aircrafts. But it's still the best compared to other
Indonesian airlines. So I agree with the 3 star for this airline because of average quality but cheap ticket.

BKK-SIN-BKK for the 2nd time this year - cheapest ticket I could get at
short notice. 737 was on time both ways, nice meal in economy, adequate
space in the seats - great flight really for the price. Garuda will
continue to get my business, which was not the case a few years back.

Flew the first time with Garuda economy from DPS-SIN and I was very
surprised about the quality of this airline. A quite new 737-400 with
appealing interior, in flight reading magazine, very tasty food for a
mid-haul flight and more important very much space for economy class.

PDG-CGK twice in one month. Garuda have re-introduced hot food service
on this, and many other, domestic routes since a reorganisation last
October. Unable to compete on price with the local low-cost carriers
they are now marketing themselves in terms of service. All flights on
time, and food and drink very good quality for economy. Planes modern
and clean. New Garuda lounge at Jakarta Term 2 is big improvement on the
old one. Ticket price typically twice that of Air Asia (no frills low
cost carrier) so Garuda need to maintain high levels of customer
satisfaction to stay in business.

BNE-DPS. Inflight service was good with a friendly crew and quite good
food. The ice creams 1 hour from DPS were a nice touch. IFE was better
than an NZ tasman flight earlier in the year. First impressions of GA
were good. DPS-BNE not so good - 45 minutes late and the dinner not to
same standard as the inbound leg. However the cabin crew were pleasant
and provided regular drinks through the night.

Tony Campbell - yes to belong to the Garuda Frequent Flyer program - you need to
reside in Indonesia - and hold a residents permit. However - I discovered that from
Australia to Indonesia - I could collect points on Northwest Airlines (free
membership) and redeem them also on Garuda if I choose to. Your other options for
redemption are Continental - check to see if you can use points for trans-tasman or
it may only be from NZ to Indonesia.

TYO-DPE & DPE-SYD Executive Class. The service was good as usual. TYO-DPE this time
the aircraft was 747. It was spacious and the reclining was better. I can't wait
when they put new IFE for this aircraft. A big surprise was at last "the new
business class lounge" opened in Denpasar Airport. It was immaculate. Well done. I
will continue to book this airline for my future trips as I love Bali and the airfare
is more affordable than other airlines for this route.

AKL-BNE-AKL. We were greeted with warm and welcoming smiles. Our flight departed AKL on time.
Plenty of room in between seats. Very prompt service, food 7/1,0 meatballs were a little off
colour, a slight grey colour, but I suppose that is airline food for you. My only gripe, was the
fact that there was no air conditioning, the entire flight we sat in a very hot cabin, nothing
was done to rectify this problem. Our return flight arrived in BNE two hours behind schedule,
however was again made up for by excellent cabin service. We will fly Garuda again in near
future. Would like to become apart of Garuda frequent flyer club, upon asking in BNE was told
that only those who reside in Indonesia are able to join!

SYD-DPS return, twice in 4 months. Service is fine. Food is fine. Strong alcoholic beverages. Poor IFE. BUT, the legroom is amazing!
If you are flying to Bali, go with GA! Don't bother asking for an upgrade. A very reliable source
has told me that no one has the authority to upgrade you. Even the Purser.

BKK-SIN-CGK-TYO-CGK was surprised to see that GA fly with a B737-400. Anyway the service was
outstanding! The plane was full and FA's cares to every pax. Transfer at JKT airport was easy and
the staff were friendly. I agree with most of the people that GA should put PTV's in their airplanes
as a flight to Tokyo from Jakarta can be very boring. I also agree that the difference of Garuda
with their competitors is the price. I paid a lot lower price with GA than if I have chosen to fly
with SQ,MH or JL. I was very impressed with this airline as this was my first time to fly with.

CGK-SIN-HKG-CGK and BKK-CGK-DPS-AKL-CGK economy class and found all the flights
enjoyable. The A330 was kindly brand new, clean and spacious. The B737 was not new but well
maintained. Garuda FA's were attentive and give a top service to every pax. We got a pre take off orange juice, after
take off they started to give out the meals, choice between Asian meal or
European meal. I
chose the asian meal, it was typically Indonesian 'nasi goreng with satay'. It was delicious! The
only downside of Garuda is that they do not have PTV's. The difference of Garuda with their competitors (MH,TG,SQ) is the price.
Garuda price is far lower than their competitors.

Four flights with Garuda over 10 days, starting on 17th March. SIN - DPS. Surprised to see A330 on
this route, only 2.5 hours, but very good flight - though retimed by 30 mins. OK, even our taxi
driver in Singapore said Garuda are always late! Welcoming friendly crew, pre take off juice,
excellent catering (Indonesian chicken and noodles), good drinks service, no IFE but map on screens.
23rd March, DPS-PER on 737-400. Good leg room on smaller aircraft but full to the gunnels. Meal
service ok, pillows and blankets, IFE had up to date film. 29th March, PER-DPS then DPS-SIN.
Both on 737. Again cannot fault the crew and in flight service, though ran out of meal choice and
had to take the "cheese crabs" - actually was "crepes" but the stewardess did not make it sound too
appetising! These three flights all pushed back on time, and flight deck kept us appraised of
progress. Absolutely faultless also was the check in, transfer, and baggage collection for all
flights. Whilst initially sceptical about Garuda Indonesia, have nothing but praise for these four
flights, and certainly make travelling around SE Asia and Oz a pleasure.

BKK-CGK in economy found the FA's very friendly! They were attentive, chatty, friendly and very
careful to every pax. Flight left on time and arrived at Sukarno Hatta ariport on time too. Although

maintained & clean. For the rate I paid, I can't complain.

Melbourne-Denpasar. Flight was changed to MEL-SYD-Denpasar. Movie screen not
working, nor was footrest. Staff were ok but have had better. Denpasar-MEL the IFE screen was not working - food was
the pits, noodles which were dry. Then the staff disappeared. Breakfast was a party pastie and cold
coffee. Business Class passengers waited 45minutes for luggage at MEL. Not at all impressed.

Garuda Business class SIN-DPS-MEL-DPS-SIN and received excellent service through the journey including the stopovers.
Cabin comfort excellent on the A330's and B737-400. This was our third time we had taken GA over this routing.
GA provides a high quality service product with friendly crew and good
aircraft.

Recently travelled back to Bali - flight Syd - Dps was excellent - business cabin very full -
fantastic for the Balinese people. Great food and service.
Wish the return flight was the same. Delayed - not a drama. Cabin crew not very friendly or helpful.
Departed at 2330 - got served a meal - who wants a meal at midnight - then nothing. No water offered
- had to ask for water 90 minutes out of Sydney - and then 30 minutes later on the way to the
bathroom - returned the empty glasses (and we were sitting in row 1) asked for coffee - and
that's all we got. What happened to the full breakfast. Arrived home hungry, thirsty and tired. I did
not that the Indonesian passengers were getting better service - and individual breakfast servings.
Reverse discrimination. Also the cabin was not secured prior to landing - the crew were still
wandering around and putting things away in the galley - on very final approach. An incident
waiting to happen. Outbound Oct 16 - Inbound Nov 13.
Come on - Garuda - while I can appreciate a dud flight once in a while - its all about consistent
service.

BKK-CGK, CGK-DPS, DPS-CGK, CGK-SIN-BKK.
Catering (food & drink) served on Business Class was poor compared to other Asian airlines. Offer
No wine and very limited soft drink variety. Head phone was poor quality (worse than others'
economy). I got down-grade from Business to Economy on the Denpasar/Bali - Jakarta with no clear
reason (seem some local VIP wanted to get on that flight without previous booking). 4 of 5 flight-
sectors were delayed. All flights were on the 737-300 and 737-400 - old and showed the age, except
the Fri evening CGK-DPS flight to be via new A330-300 - good business class seat. Luggage handling
is poor. My luggage from BKK to CGK came out in the last batch even with Business Class & Priority
tag. Clearly a long way to catch up with other Asian airlines

BKK-SIN-DPS-SIN, economy class. Flights were ok, nothing to complain about, best part
was they surprisingly served us a good cheese . When flying back from DPS to SIN our flights were
originally with a plane change in Jakarta. In Denpasar airport we asked if they can change it to
direct flight to Singapore because that would save a lot of our time. First they refused to do that
so we walked away from the desk. After a few minutes they ran after us and said they can do it for
us.

Garuda Indonesia CGK-AMS-CGK recently. Well, at first I was hoping that there would be some
improvement other than the time punctuality, but It was nothing actually. The B 747-400 Y Class
seats still have no foot rest and PTV. The IFE was terribly poor, it seemed like no headphones were
functioning on my departing flight, tough luckily they worked on my returning flight. Both the movie
and the music programs were rather dull. For short flight that would be ok but for a 13 hours
nonstop fly that would be terrible. The other aspects are ok, the cabin crew were helpfull and
friendly, the cabin and the toilets were clean, the food were good but lack in quantity.

Flew GA from Singapore to Jogjakarta via Jakarta (Economy). 2 sectors on each way. Except for the
return Jakarta-Singapore sector, all flights were on time, which was a good improvement from past
experiences. The services of Garuda had remained warm and sparkling, which had always been their
greatest asset. Planes used on the Singapore-Jakarta sector were Boeings 733s, which are smaller
(and older) and thus less comfortable than the bigger Boeing 734s used on the Jakarta-Jogjakarta
sector. Do not have much to comment with regard to the IFE, which were old TV re-runs. The food
served seemed to have unfortunately suffered a drop in standard, which was a negative deviation from
the usual past experiences with Garuda.

Recently flew Garuda from ADL-OSA. Fly to Japan quite regularly and having taken CX,SQ,MH and JAL-QF
flights along this route and I thought I'd give Garuda a shot. Despite my initial scepticism and
mild apprehension I was more than pleasantly surprised. The service was fantastic, seats were
comfortable and food was delicious. The FA's were leagues above my own national carrier Qantas' with
a real sense of customer service and care. The flight was smooth and bump free. Only minor complaint
is the IFE.

Apart from that the inflight entertainment was ordinary. Even though the business class were quite
