Better than KLM or Emirates. Flew AMS-DXB return and would recommend this airline to anyone flying this route. Punctual, attentive and friendly service from cabin crew, new A330 with AVOD IFE, above average inflight meals. Besides that their schedule is perfect with arriving in Dubai at 7PM instead of other carriers in the middle of the night. I have chosen GA because of the price and at the end it was value for money!

Fantastic flight Sydney to Denpasar in Garuda economy - my first economy flight in over 20 years. I was very impressed - seat was comfortable, good leg room, meal very enjoyable and the service excellent. The large screen with good selection of entertainment and touch screen was great, and the blanket was large and warm, and we even got a decent sized pillow! Then I made the mistake of flying home with Jetstar Star Class - appalling food, thin small blanket, cumbersome entertainment unit I couldn't be bothered using and inattentive and disinterested staff.

DPS-CGK on refurbished A330. Flight attendants friendly even though they were after a long flight from NRT. The refurbished A330s are fantastic, personal IFE good, quick touch-screen response. Food was OK, but I think they can improve on the quantity of their meals. Overall, my DPS-CGK shuttle seems to just got better each time.

PDG-CGK-SIN. PDG-CGK on an older B737-800, very pleasant flight. The lunch box with a traditional cuisine touch was great. FAs very friendly and attentive. Excellent service. Would be great if there was personal IFE. CGK-SIN on new A330-200. Comfortable seat and seat pitch also good. Equipped with AVOD IFE. FAs are very friendly. Just missed their new kebaya. A snack box for 1 hrs delay was ok.

CGK-JOG Economy Class. A short 50 minutes flight using Boeing 737-800, even though it is a short flight, Garuda managed to deliver prompt and courteous service by providing snacks and drink service.

HKG-CGK-DPS Business Class. City centre check in at Hong Kong Central (Airport Express) station efficient and quick. Business lounge at HKG airy and comfortable but poor food choice. New A330-200 HKG-CGK very comfortable and able to compete with the very best. IFE good though I would find audio choice limited for a long haul sector. Food very good though my wife found her beef a little tough. Service excellent, courteous and friendly. GA representative met us at CGK to facilitate and smooth our transfer - a nice touch. Gate at CGK for onward departure for Bali was hot, dark and filthy. Onward flight to DPS on 737-400 was pleasant, comfortable with excellent service, meal was decent.All in all, excellent value for money. GA was always a okay airline, they now deserve their Skytrax 4-star rating.

B747-400 JKT-JED-JKT. Pleasant flight, friendly and responsive crews, food excellent in choices and quantity. Too bad there were no personal IFE to accompany my 9 hour flight.

SUB-DPS-SUB Economy, older 737-800. Seat pitch superb and snack was okay. FAs are very friendly and talkative to passengers. Candy before take off was a nice touch.

CGK-JOG on new B737-800NG. Since it was a short haul flight (50 mins) we only got snacks in a box, which was mediocre. I love the new AVOD, variety of features great. Overall Garuda is improving.

Jakarta-Singapore new B737-800, Singapore- Jakarta new A330-200. Both flights on time, crew are attentive, crew greeting is nice touch, inflight entertainment very good. Economy class seat is ok, but the legroom in A330-200 is not as good as in their older A330-300.
