LHR-AUH-BKK return. Decor and cleanliness of planes very good. Entertainment system good with
plenty of movies, tv, music and games. On one flight monitor was broken (touch screen failed
and handset wouldn't link) which meant a very boring 8 hours. Flight Attendants said they
could only reset it (when they remembered to do that). Food was good with 3 choices, drinks
available but needed to ask or collect for yourself as not asked regularly by FAs. On 1st 3
flights we found FAs to be stand-offish, bordering on rude. If you asked for a glass of water,
it seemed like it was an inconvenience to them. On our final flight however, I had an allergic
reaction to part of a meal and a number of attendants became so much better, insisting on
calling the ground for medical advice even though I advised I simply needed to drink lots of
water to dilute the effect. She introduced herself and checked on me numerous times throughout
the flight. My criticism would be that it shouldn't take for somebody to be ill during flights
for the FAs to express a friendlier demeanour.

MXP-AUH-BKK return. Two different evaluations. MXP-AUH return with A330, good catering,
confortable seats, good IFE. AUH-BKK return with B777, very bad catering, unconfortable
seats, bad working IFE. For all flights polite cabin crew.

I totally agree with Z Bibicy (15 Feb). We also travelled with children in economy class from JFK to Abu
Dhabi and our experience was exactly the same. The service was bad and crew were so
indifferent and inefficient. Everything about Etihad starting with their website is a big show
with no substance. We made a stop in UAE and took our tourist visas through the airline. We
have been trying to get our visa deposit fees refunded after exiting the country, and the
airline has totally ignored any emails or phone calls that we made to them. It is close to 2
months now and we are really angry with them now.

LHR-AUH-MNL return. LHR to Abu Dhabi A330, new IFE that didnt work for first 3 hours of
flight. Eventually IFE worked but with only movies, good food and service. Abu Dhabi to Manila
on B777, empty flight, good service and could choose seats with working IFE. Flight back from
Manila on B777, seat 54C IFE working but there was a problem with the screen and controller
did not work. FA's tried to reboot several times but problem was with the screen and
controller and not the system. Abu Dhabi to LHR, good food and new and working IFE.

Sydney - Abu Dhabi - Dublin return. Modern clean aircraft, A340-600 quite cramped and on the
first flight (which is 15 hours) it can be quite uncomfortable after some time. AVOD excellent
with a huge range of movies, games, music etc. One thing that did bother me was not having the
seats I had expected when boarding the flight, not sure what the mix up was but FA could not
help. I would fly again due to price.

Jeddah - Abu Dhabi. The flight was delayed for 13 hrs (took off at 0230 of the next day
instead of 1655hrs). During that time we were kept in the airport with false promises it will
be in the next 2 hrs or so. Airport operation managers lied a lot, refused to take us to a
comfortable place/hotel and food was begged to get it. We finally got a flight at 0130 of the
next morning, the capt spend the next hour trading transit passengers from the airport to make
up for the fact that this was an over-duty flight bearing no consideration to passengers
sitting for the last 13 hrs waiting. Upon insisting and asking his professional reply was
"Late better than never!". I don't know why Etihad Airways ever won any awards by having such attitude.

We just returned from Kochi to Geneva by Etihad. I had seen so many superlative ads about the
flights, comfort, service etc. Geneva to Abu Dhabi was comfortable, but cramped in economy -
no more comfort for economy passengers compared to European airlines. Etihad offer packed
entertainment so nobody needs to stretch a bit. It is a pity that the adverts are meant only
for business class to try and attract other passengers to travel. Abu Dhabi to Kochi or Bombay
is a small packed aircraft.

FRA-AUH-KUL. Flights on time, meals tasty and friendly and helpful FA. Seating and IFE was
good, with a big choice on movies etc. Cost 350 Euro, price was ok.

Cape Town - Abu Dhabi - Beirut return. Faultless flights and service equal to Emirates.
Entertainment system works better than Emirates. On the return from Beirut to Abu Dhabi we
were routed on MEA which caused a little confusion.

Manchester to Sydney via Abu Dhabi return. Great seat, in flight entertainment, food and
drink. Service onboard excellent and friendly. Business class lounge at Abu Dhabi was OK
although they could do with more showers. Chauffeur service was a nice touch and worked well.

JFK-AUH return. The crews were prompt in responding to requests. I found the seats quite
comfortable and legroom generous for Economy Class. Food good, and inflight entertainment
options were great.

Manchester Abu Dhabi Economy. Excellent food and drinks service on well maintained A330.
The cabin crew were helpful and customer focussed. They deserve their 4 star ranking.

I flew with my wife and son (2½ year old), Paris-Abu Dhabi-Doha return. Our bad experience was
mostly with the crew and organization. On the first leg the cabin crew took way too long to
serve food and retrieve the trash, and when offering drinks they skipped me two times. I
wouldn't have taken it further if it hadn't been for the return. I checked-in online so we got
our boarding pass for the two trips (Doha-Abu Dhabi-Paris) with chosen seats. When we checked-
in the luggage though, the agent changed (without telling us) our seats on the Doha-AUH leg.
The flight was due to leave at 22.35, but it was delayed by 45 minutes, without any
explanation. We ended up on the row right after business class, where the armrests cannot be
moved, so impossible to lay my son for him to get some sleep. Of course we were running out of
time for the connection, we reached about 1/2 hour before the due departure. But that wasn't a
concern for Etihad since we had to wait until the business class left the aircraft, got in
their own bus (only 8 of them!), before we could pack up in the next one. We therefore had to
run through the terminal to manage to board the next plane (last ones to board). In spite of a
good number of cabin crew they do not seem efficient or focused. At breakfast time my wife
asked for a tea she never got, and when went to the back to kindly ask them a second time she
was told the trolley had first to go up the aisle (we were at the very rear) before she could
be served - took 20 minutes. Same when we asked to get the fruit salad from the breakfast tray
that my son didn't get as he was sleeping - I had to go ask again (beg would be closer) as the
plane was descending. I would advise Etihad to train their staff better, some won't even make
a smile for the whole 7 hours trip. Take into consideration all passengers, not just the
First/Business class. There's more in this world than just money and look (since Arabic black-
dressed women get full attention even in economy class, unlike other passengers), try to
understand that.

BKK-AUH. I was shocked to discover that the seat configuration on the B777 has now changed
from 3x3x3 to 3x4x3. Seats are a little bit more cramped and no aisle room. This is really
squeezing us in.
