I had no problems on my flights from London to Abu Dhabi and on to Tokyo. Very good
entertainment system.

MEL-AUH-IST return. Arrived at airport to be first to check in, to secure exit row seats for
6ft 4ins son - had made request at time of booking but none available, and they claimed these
seats are only assigned once the passengers are sighted and seen to be fit. When we boarded
these seats were occupied by average sized adults with children aged around 10 years old. Son
was seated at back of aircraft which was extremely cramped. No matter how many requests we
made, the same situation on return leg - even his preassigned window seat was not available.
Just as we were about to board, an exit row seat became available on IST-AUH leg, but not
available AUH-MEL. Considering we checked in about 11 hours before this flight departed,
puzzled how they allocate these seats. Another very cramped 13 hours. We travel 3 times a year
and airlines with Middle Eastern hub suit us better - we will be trying Qatar Airways when
next we travel with the children.

I travelled June 7th. Upon arrival at Manchester I was informed that Business class was
overbooked and I was downgraded to Economy class for the outward journey. I was informed that
my refund would be back on my credit card within 3 weeks because I had booked direct with
Etihad - I have now been back 6 weeks and still no refund, despite ringing up every day. All
they say is that they will email Manchester and speak to the Manager - the call centre is
abroad. To date they still have not even got any details of my refund on their system,
claiming that it is because I have already travelled. I also got an email from Guest affairs
stating that my refund will be fast tracked! Still no refund, very bad after sales service,
spoilt the experience.

London Heathrow-Bangkok by Abu Dhabi return. Compared with Emirates, Etihad Airways is
fantastic. In economy the seats could have some more space. The service is better, the
attention with passengers also, the basic needs to travel with some confort.

Manchester-Bangkok and return. Cabin crew do not answered call light on flights. Waited up to
20 mins before finally got fed up and went to the galley for what I wanted. Awful seat
allocation despite checking in early at Bangkok and requesting back seats in two's for the 4
of us we were assured the plane was half empty and we could be sure that each couple would
have 3 seats between them. The plane was packed when we got on and our seats had been taken!
We eventually sorted this out but had another passenger with us. My wife warned me not to book
with Etihad after a similar experience 3 years ago, but I did and she was right! I feel they
have won awards by focusing on the Business and First Class rather than Economy.

I travelled to Dublin on 24th June and return on 28th June. On both trips the food was
appalling. We were served lunch shortly after boarding the plane at approx 9.30am. The crew on
the return flight did not seem to have access to a passenger manifest as they put people in
other people's seats which caused upset to some passengers. One man was asked to move three
times! Again this time we were presented with dreadful food.

MEL-AUH- ON return. The overall experience was comparable if not slightly better than BA, and
a lot cheaper. The food was fine and cabin stewards friendly and helpful enough. IFE is great
although mine didn't work for the 14 hour MEL-AUH leg. After 2 hours of it being reset 3 times
I was brought a handheld DVD but not all the parts needed to recharge it which made it quickly
redundant. In the end I gave up and slept. At the end of the journey I was given a pack of
playing cards as a gift for my inconvenience! The outward journey pretty much ran to schedule
but the return leg from Abu Dhabi to Melbourne was delayed by 4 hours meaning a 7 hour
stopover in Abu Dhabi. There was little explanation or apology but unfortunately that's fairly
standard to most airlines in my experience. Both flights between London and Abu Dhabi were not
full so it was possible to move and have an empty seat next to you. My pre-selected seat from
London was changed ostensibly to accommodate a family but it was actually occupied by a lone traveller.

Brussels-Dhaka returning to Frankfurt, via Abu Dhabi both ways. Very clean and tidy on all
flights. Food better than average airline, and lots of refreshments provided. Entertainment
was mostly very good - only problem was that the inflight map wasn't working on two of the
flights. Flights to and from Dhaka were full and fellow passengers were loud and rude but I
can't really blame Etihad for that - staff did try to make the best out of the situation.
Etihad should however really work on keeping their departure schedules. All flights were
delayed by at least 30 minutes. Also, it seems like they don't turn on the airconditioning
properly until the flights are in the air. This made it excruciating when it took about 40
minutes from boarding the plane and until departure in Abu Dhabi, where the outside
temperature was nearly 40 degrees celcius.

Dublin to Abu Dhabi return. Plenty of spare seats and at check in they even held a spare seat
for me. Seats are pretty comfortable and legroom average. Food onboard acceptable, not
exceptional. The inflight entertainment system choice could be a lot better including music
selection (Emirates far better). The cabin crew were all helpful - I thought it was good
value flight

BKK-AUH-CAI. A very pleasant pair of flights with courteous attentive service. Initially the
seats on the 777 felt a little coffin-like, but once I was used to them they were fine. The
size of the seat on the A320 from AUH-CAI was surprising for a small aircraft. I was able to
order food when I wanted on both legs, a big plus in business class.

JFK-AUH-CMB.The flight to Abu Dhabi was uncomfortable due to the narrow seats,to be expected
though on a long flight. The staff seemed hurried and unprepared. When they were giving their
pre departure announcements and welcomes, they kept cutting themselves off and re starting
their speil. When meals came around, they skipped me for some reason! After the stewardess
came back around, she asked me why I didn't have a meal and if I didn't want to eat. I told
her no one offered me a meal. She graciously offered me her meal, which I appreciated.
The flight back to JFK was more efficient, probably helped by the fact that I had an aisle
seat. Meals were less appetizing, but that's subjective.

AUH-BAH-AUH, cold sandwiches and water on these short flights. Flights on time. I am curious
why EY shows ridiculous practical joke skits on seatback entertainment with no headphones
provided.

Sydney-Athens via Abu Dhabi. I Was served by the same hostess for most of the first leg but
she did not smile, or seem at all interested in her job. Cleanliness of the plane was sub par
- many tissues and even blankets left from the previous trip. The meal service was strange,
with the crew serving drinks before the meal and then not during the meal at all (I'll be sure
to order in bulk next time). I did not receive my first choice meal on any of the four legs of
my trip. Abu Dhabi-Athens by contrast was a much a more agreeable experience with friendly and
helpful staff. IFE great. My main criticism however is the A340 - a cramped aircraft.
