MAN-AUH-MEL then SYD-AUH-MAN over Christmas. Cabin crew were attentive and customer focused.
The food was excellent and AVOD entertaining enough. We were delayed taking off in Manchester
due to snow, cabin crew served drinks and refreshments. Due to this weather delay we were late
landing at AUH and missed our connecting flight to MEL. Etihad duty manager at AUH tried to
get us on another flight with Emirates - however with it being Christmas time all flights were
full. After around an hour he apologised and told us we would have to join the following days
flight and issued boarding cards to us for it, and Etihad would put us up in a local hotel
until the following day. We were taken to a wonderful hotel, given vouchers for Breakfast
Lunch and Dinner before being picked up again the following day. They say a good way to
measure customer service is to judge it when things go wrong and Etihad stepped up to the
plate and went beyond our expectations in this case.

SYD-AUH-LHR return. On both legs found seating very cramped and service from crew poor. Food
choices ran out and we were offered a sandwich. Aisles so narrow crew kept bumping into
passengers. Very few drinks offered to passengers throughout. LHR-AUH Service improved and
crew much more pleasant, seating still too cramped (and we are not extremely large people.)
Heard other passengers making the same comments. AUH-SYD very uncomfortable flight, Cramped
once again and crew "invisible" - drinks only offered on request and service very poor.
Toilets messy and crew unconcerned re-cleaning the facilities. After hearing some
recommendations about Etihad we were so disappointed. Would not recommend airline to others.

MAN-AUH-ISB return. Flights to and from Manchester were fine with no complaints. Food
delicious, flight attendants attentive and polite. AVOD better than Air New Zealand and
Qantas. Transit in Abu Dhabi smooth, new terminal is superb. The negative is lack of AVOD on
AUH-ISB route -very disappointing to see full planes but no in flight entertainment.

Paris - Abu Dhabi return. Excellent service, had old style seats (not suites), still
comfortable. Asked to make bed and had a good sleep on both legs. Excellent food. In addition
- driver service in Paris and Abu Dhabi and high level lounge in Abu Dhabi. Very impressed by
quality of service.

Melbourne-Abu Dhabi-Geneva return. Trips on-time. Planes clean, with good AVOD. Meals OK. Hard
to get a drink with the meal. Service varied, depending on the crew, but one leg demonstrated
how bad it could be, where the crew couldn't care less. Good facility for transfers to/from
Dubai and check-in in Dubai city.

When things go wrong this is an awful airline to use. 21 hour delay flying back from Bangkok
to Heathrow. No compassion given by Etihad Airways - all I was given was a meal voucher. No
offer of accommodation or washing facility. Very untruthful in their explanations and just
wanted to get rid of you.

Good planes but they need to service their entertainment system better - out of order on my
fathers seat. There was no choice of meal as was stated in the menu handed out - on any of the
flights. Why have menu in the first place? The staff was careless but the ticket was cheap -
I guess you get what you pay for.

MAN-AUH-BNE return. All flights on time and very happy with standard of service. The cabin
crews were courteous and attentive. Etihad are up there with the best for quality and value.
A330 aircraft clean and inflight entertainment system was excellent. I was impressed with the
new terminal at Abu Dhabi.

BOM to JFK via AUH in business class. Seats comfortable as expected. On demand dining was good
but not outstanding. The real problem was poor service from the beginning to the end of the
trip. No dedicated business class check in or preboarding. It was a cattle call. Flight
attendants were rather young, inexperienced, inappropriate and careless. On the AUH to JFK
leg, the purser failed to ensure that proper US Customs forms were on board for completion
before landing. She was particularly ill tempered and inappropriate when presented with the
problem. The disembarking at JFK was a problem as there were no pens and no forms at the
custom stand. The promised car service took 7 long telephone calls to Etihad customer service
to confirm as they kept on making mistakes with the order details, and, in the end, the car
driver failed to be a the exit as promised. The JFK Etihad dispatcher had to come outside the
terminal to find the booked car for us. Overall, this is not a very good airline. Fly it if
you have no choice.

LHR-AUH-KUL return Y class - a mixed bag. LHR-AUH A340 great AVOD, service and food was good
though portions were small. AUH-KUL A330, Service better but food was ok. KUL-AUH service was
the best - crew friendly. A la carte menu and anytime dining was great - meal was good though
portions were quite small. Crew did not do regular rounds of cleaning up. They did not pick up
my plates/glasses even after 1 hour I've finished eating/drinking. Chose Etihad because of
their bargain flights, new aircraft, great AVOD and generous loyalty programme, and a chance
to stopover in AUH to see my family.

AUH-JFK A340, flight full and upgraded to Business class. Ground staff and FA are fine. IFE
system is not that attractive and noticed that lists of programming are almost the same within
the current year. Flat beds comfortable. JFK-AUH was delayed for about 3 hrs. Food and drinks
average for the class. Hope to have better menu next time. Flight costs cheaper as compare to
other middle eastern carriers.

Etihad Airways
JFK to AUH. The flight was full and boarding began as scheduled - all great. Then, just before
the scheduled departure, A340 is taxied and the capt announces that something is not working
with the engine. We are on the tarmac for close to 3 hours and finally airborne at 1 AM. We
had NO updates from the capt or crew whatsoever! No water or food either. The flight lands 3
hours late in AUH and sure enough almost everyones connection flights were gone. We were
directed to the transfer desk and there was one person in the counters to help close to 200
passengers. Wait in line for a while and for 2 hours, I still didnt know where and what my
status was. Around 2AM local time (3 hours after my arrival in AUH), I was told I have to wait
until the next day's flight. So we knew in NY that the flight is going to be delayed and
Etihad couldn't figure anything in 12 hours for those connection flights or arrange hotel
plans? I am stuck in the lounge of the airport in AUH and let me tell you, its not much fun!
If anything is good, the crew was nice and food great. But, I will never recommend this to my
friends and family.
