MEL-CAN-XIY-CAN-MEL in Premium Economy. MEL to CAN was onboard an A330. There is absolutely no
difference between Premium Economy and Economy except a few inches of extra legroom and a bottle of
water. Only overhead IFE and only 2 choices of meals. The cabin crew only appeared during the meal service
and then disappeared for the rest of the flight. CAN to XIY onboard A320. Our flight got delayed for about 2
hours for no apparent reason. No one came to inform us of what was happening. Meal was basic and bland
and there was only overhead IFE, XIY to CAN was nearly exactly the same but the delay. CAN to MEL also
nearly the same, however, the cabin crew did appear more throughout the flight: more drink runs, etc.
Overall, not an enjoyable experience for premium economy.

Flight from Brisbane to Paris via Canton. My ticket purchase was based solely on price, and I got my return
ticket for $1165 inc all taxes etc. Half the price of everyone else. No problems until the last return leg,
when a storm hit Guangzhou - creating havoc across all flights. Sure, the food is ordinary, the IFE is non-
existent, the service is rudimentary etc. But I saved lots of money - I would recommend as a solo male
traveller or young couples only, not for families or elderly though.

Roundtrip from Osaka to Beijing, with layovers in Shenyang (to Beijing) and Dalian (from Beijing). Outbound
flight was fine, although I agree that you get what you pay for (small seats, poor inflight entertainment,
mediocre food). Return flight just didn't happen. Got to the airport at 6am for a 7.30am flight, and was told
that our flight to Dalian was simply cancelled. No warning, no re-booking, nothing. I was shocked to be told
that, "If you want to change your flight, go buy a new ticket". I bought a completely new ticket on Air China.
Bottom Line: Pay the extra money for another airline. Even if you are willing to put up with the mediocre
service, your flight may or may not even be there at the end of the day.

Flew Brisbane-CAN-PEK and Shanghai-CAN-Brisbane. Pleased overall with the flights. Modern aircraft, clean
and in good order. Flight attendants friendly and helpful. Meal good quality and enjoyable. Transfer at
Guangzhou worked well. Flights on time. Alcohol limited and inflight entertainment lagging behind. Good
value for money and would fly with them again.

Melbourne to Tianjin in Premium Economy. Price was very cheap for premium economy and I imagine that is
because you get an economy seat with some added legroom. Food was ordinary but legroom was certainly
better than economy. The major benefit was that most passengers had taken the cheapest option so
economy was full but there was almost nobody in premium economy, meaning 4 seats to lie down on
Melbourne-Guangzhou leg. The other small advantage of the extra money for premium economy was that my
bag was tagged priority and appeared on the carousel very quickly on arrival, there was a priority check-in in
Melbourne and Guangzhou for premium economy ticket holders. Return trip from Tianjin-Melbourne was
packed in both economy and premium economy and at that point the 2" extra legroom didn't seem to be
worth the extra money.

This airline offers very cheap fares to via Guangzhou and I believe you get good value for money saving $300
compared to other airlines. It is not a no frills airline and the food is edible but very bland, you get 2 meals
and generous servings of wine. Service is polite and attentive with good English skills. Seats were fine
though nowhere near as good as other premium economy carriers. Worst aspect was the pathetic IFE - no
VOD and they played the same movie twice!

I flew Business Class with my wife and grandson from Brisbane to Amsterdam via Guangzhou, cannot fault
the service which compared favourably with other airlines I have used. Staff were very pleasant and
attentive, the plane appeared to be quite new and was comfortable. Although staff had limited English, I
found it more than adequate for effective communication. The food was reasonable and sufficiently varied to
cater for most tastes. Overall excellent value for money.

Delhi to Sydney. Poor service at Delhi airport as computer was not working, flight delayed for over an
hour. Seats were uncomfortable - very small and cramped. I requested a special meal, however did not
receive it. A very poor service received from inflight crew. No entertainment from Delhi to China and then a
central small TV screen from China to Sydney.

BKK-CAN-PER Economy Class. Bags checked through to final destination and boarding passes issued in BKK
for both flights. Brand new 737-800 to CAN, followed by A330 to PER. Connection in Guangzhou simple.
Queue to the far left at Immigration Control (this is line for those in transit), who will process passport and
stamp accordingly with transit stamp, turn left, then simply follow the signs to Departure Concourse. Food
excellent on both legs, staff fine with English if required. Excellent value for money paid.

I could see no difference between premium economy and economy. They had the same size and number of
seats across with maybe an extra 2 inches of leg room! Same poor meals! Seat hardly reclines, no personal
TV's - you had to watch the one at the front of the cabin that you could barely see! Where does the premium
come in!

SYD-CAN-PEK-CAN-BNE in Business class. Check-in in SYD was very efficient, priority service provided.
Inflight service was good on all legs, food and drink was great. Australia-China flights on old A330 with old
angled flat bed. CAN-PEK on new A330, full flat bed, very comfortable. Amenity bags distributed on all
flights. AVOD programs are good but not so great for business class. All legs on time. The worst part of trip
was transit in CAN. Skypriority service is simply not working. No one was willing to help me. Transit desk
staff were rude and unprofessional. Check-in at PEK was not great, no business lounge at PEK international.
All in all good value for money.

Flew Hanoi to Hong Kong via Guangzhou. Seats did not recline and were extremely uncomfortable. The crew
appeared to do little but mechanically repeat "good morning", completely misunderstanding any questions
directed at them. And despite claims of taking pride in their food, the final product tasted awful.

HKG-CAN-SYDN. There is basically no difference between Premium Economy and standard economy, hence a
waste of extra fare paid. Food inedible, unable to obtain a drink with ice, drop down televisions with mostly
Chinese language programming for a ten hour flight, cabin temperature too hot, and crew unable to
communicate in English. Seat had decent legroom, but seemed to lack proper padding. On-board restrooms
were filthy. Transit at Guangzhou truly farcical - complete with rude and unhelpful staff, and utter refusal to
honor Skyteam Elite benefits.

KUL-CAN-LAX return with husband, 2 kids and a baby. Cabin crew only seen during meal times. Calls for
service never answered. Was promised bassinet at sales but did not get one. Was given front row seats for
Guangzhou-LAX but upon arrival at Guangzhou we were given brand new boarding passes. Could not check
baggage through to final destination even though connecting flight was a partner airline. Given wrong arrival
forms by cabin crew who could not speak fluent English - if at all. Only 1 movie for entire Guangzhou-LAX
flight.

Business from SYD-CAN-AMS. SYD-CAN on an A330-300 and had older style angled lie-flat seat and smaller
AVOD screen. Everything functioned but a limited choice of Western programming. Service can be a little
rushed and inconsistent. With only a single bottle of barely chilled Australian Chardonnay on offer this isn't a
flight to experience a 'cellar in the sky'. Food was reasonable but the description in the menu didn't match
what was presented a few translation issues to be worked on. CAN-AMS on a newer A330-200 with flat seats
and a larger, better quality LCD screen. Beverage choice slightly improved; food was well presented, nothing
extraordinary. Chinese dishes were no better than from a simple takeaway.
