✅ Trip Verified | My trip to the airport was ruined by the unexplained policy to evict all passengers waiting for our flight from our waiting place at our gate. This decision was baffling, as no other airport before has ever required passengers to vacate the most logical and comfortable waiting place to board with little alternative.

✅ Trip Verified | Very confusing for connecting passengers, luggage not checked through to our final destination. Ask Austrian service desk staff member about where to pick up luggage and she replied that she did not check it in! Not very helpful. Eventually she gave us the information we we’re seeking Self luggage checkin did not work / print bag tag. Staff at security screening very disorganised, staff lady shouted at us for touching the wrong tray and then gave us a long lecture about why we should only touch the bag trays we are using. No direction from staff at security on what they wanted passengers to do. Duty Free seems to be Duty Plus- more expensive than buying outside of airport! Overall based on experience at Vienna airport would avoid if there is an alternative hub for transfer. Of course Vienna itself is fabulous.

✅ Trip Verified | The worst airport and the most confusing one I used for transfer. The layout is really bad and signage so confusing. When we came out of an airplane to transit and catch another airplane we had to go again thru security and we had to discard the water we had. The worst thing is they know about this issue and don't do anything about it as this has happened before. The lounges are so far away you just don't bother.

✅ Trip Verified | Often late in dispatching luggage, especially on weekends. Crowds of people waiting for no good reason. Often too few immigration officers at border control. Overall tiring exercise

✅ Trip Verified | It is a nice airport but I was shocked to discover you need 1 euro coin to be able to use the luggage trolley. I had 4 luggages and I carried a toddler. It was impossible to carry all my bags after picking them up, and my child. I asked a security person for advice or a "fake coin", eventually for help. He told me to go to Exchange stand, I explained None of my countries I live in uses Euros. He said it is my problem. If it wasnt for some Czech passengers who heard me talking Czech to my child, and who offered their help, I dont know what I would do. It's incerdibly rude from the airport management to require coins to use the trolleys. I haven't experienced this on any other international airports. Also, the toilets for people with babies are always occupied by people without kids and there is only one such toilet. I think your trolley system should be reconsidered! As the current situation makes the travel experience for people with kids and many luggages simply horrible. Not to mentiom the rude security employee.

✅ Trip Verified | It is extremely difficult to find your way around the airport due to lack of signages and there is no staff to help you. They could have added direction signages every few meters. Because of absence of signs You panic as you do not know where to go. Toilets are very few. Seating is very less. Confused pax are milling about every where. Lounges are not in the proper convenient places. Duty free shopping is very limited and more expensive than even in other cities of Europe. Don't expect to get any good duty free deal here.

✅ Trip Verified | Dreadful experience with airport security. A security officer doesn’t speak English well enough. She harassed my husband saying ‘you must put your bag there’ . He has no clue unloading our stuff from the bins after security checkpoint. There are 5 bins with pieces of our luggage and he only unloaded 2 of them. After a minute she returns and this time she is really angry. Says I told you to put your bags there. It appears she wanted me collect empty bins and put them into the special cart. So there are 2 questions: - Are really passengers responsible for loading bins into the airport carts? Why is passenger isn’t allowed to take all his pieces out of bins first? 2My experience with the same officer. My backpack was selected for additional screening. Normal operating procedure, right? After finding nothing restricted in the backpack, she demanded to show her my purse. It had already cleared the security by the way. But even that wasn’t enough. She demanded I should unzip my under jacket. She also said she needed to see my waistband. I had none. At this point I asked he if I could keep my pants. If it’s not a passenger harassment, I don’t know what it is.

Not Verified | After arrival from Doha we had to to wait ages on a passport control. It is a real joke Vienna airport doesn't have E-gates, at least for EU passport holders. Airport staff more than unfriendly. Immigration officers were extremly slow, and we almost lost our connection flight to Prague even when we had hour and something transfer time. Very bad experience.

✅ Trip Verified | Its a maze, if you want to miss you flight because of bad design and bad employee managment this is you airport. The employees are nice and friendly enough, but since i almost didnt get my flight 2 out of 2 times I can't say anything about the wifi, food or shops. The directions are horrible, the number of employees are used the wrong way and all in all i am just happy i am leaving the airport and i will avoid it in the future.

✅ Trip Verified | Never change your flight here because there will be a lot of unuseful controls. I was with my partner and while getting out of the plane, I went in front and took a wrong exit. I could not return. They saw me on the cameras and came to me asking me to exit and repeat the security controls. Even if they have seen that I had just took the wrong stairs for about 30 sec and couldn’t do anything illegal. I was separated from my partner, and had to walk hundred of meters, queue and repeat the security checks before I could reach my connect flight. All this because the connection flights direction are not visible on the screens and the walls.
