Brussels Charleroi Airport

✅ Trip Verified | Very crowded and poor planning. I was there 2h10 before departure, and I was still late for my boarding with 30 minutes. It is absolutely outrageous. They have no regard for the times of the passengers. 0/10 experience

✅ Trip Verified | To be avoided. From the drop-off "parking" that states one fee (3€) but charges another (10€), to the lack of cleanliness and well trained personnel, to the horrible connection to public transport, this airport is one to be avoided.

✅ Trip Verified | Monopoly transport line from airport to city centre and vice versa (only Flibco 16.6€ one way). Long queue for security line so they can sell fast track ticket 6€pp. What an airport huh? Avoid at all cost.

Not Verified | Worst airport ever been to. I travel 30 weeks/year. No food or drinks available near gate 25. Waiting to board in place surrounded by barb wire. Rude ground staff. Avoid this airport.

Not Verified | I’ve been to many an airport and this is the worst, even beats Leeds/Bradford. Charleroi has very little signage as to where to go either when you arrive or leave. And don’t even think about asking, anyone “foreign” will be met with a wall, and then they discuss you in French in a tone that you know is derogatory. Why work here when you clearly hate foreigners - It wasn’t just me as an English person. t Not surprised they had a strike the day before clearly they all hate their jobs. Won’t be back. Shame really because Belgium is a nice country.

Not Verified | I was mildly worried that my experience would be all bad plus Ryanair warned us to book in 3 hours early. Thus was very happily surprised that was cleared thought to departures in under 40 minutes from parking and, similarly, on return everything was smooth too. Okay the airport (T1) is a bit tired but not that bad and staff were friendly and efficient, cleanliness was no worse than I've seen in other airports and the food court is okay and only real negative is there is very little shopping to entertain. There is a quite nice to have outside sitting area to enjoy if the weather is good. It might be it was a mid-week departure and return but everything worked and we took off and landed on time so I think some people really have unrealistic expectations.

✅ Trip Verified | Chaotic boarding of shuttle bus from P3. So slow and inefficient that many passengers ran to terminal instead. T1 overcrowded and dirty. Security sent us to wrong queue. Lounge couldn’t scan QR code and I had to dig out printed receipt to prove payment. Lounge dirty, almost no clean tables and PA system blaring non stop announcements . Awful lounge and not worth the money.

Not Verified | Bought online access for the lounge at charleroi airport. Upon arrival at the airport, it turns out that the lounge has been closed for a long time. How can you sell something online when it's just closed for a long time? Even at the time of writing the experience, the lounge is still for sale!

Not Verified | Definitely among the worst airports in the world: badly organised, super crowded, no social distancing possible, unhelpful, impolite and unprofessional staff, in every possible position! Stay away as much as possible.

✅ Trip Verified | A total disgrace of aviation. Airports like these should not even exist. Dirty, chaotic, noisy, narrow and simply disgusting. And not speaking of the facilities... well if you really won’t be able to use a lavatory somewhere else before entering this horror house, then be prepared to encounter something you will not forget that soon.
