CPH-AMS-CPH in Go class with A320 on 18 and 22 December 2014. 1st trip on time 2nd delayed 90 Minutes due to severe winds in AMS which affected all flights negatively. SK handled it well and fuelled the plane extra in AMS to speed up pace and caught 25 Minutes back on the delay when arriving CPH. Service is prompt but very modest GO is a “no-GO”. Aircraft's were clean FA’s were smiling professional. Announcements were very good and informative (no crap). Extremely cheap ticket return bought long time in advance for 150 USD. Other options for travelling return on this route were at least double the price of SAS. 2 pieces of luggage and lounge access fully granted (I have a gold card in other Star Alliance partner).

Flight ARN-MAN. Via the SAS website we applied and got an SAS Plus upgrade for £30/each. We had the double baggage allowance were fast-tracked through security and spent time in the SAS business lounge which was quiet had free wifi reasonable snack and drink selection (the Absolut promotional Martinis were great). SAS used the first three rows for their Plus passengers (18 places using middle seat too - 16 were used) and there was use of extra storage at the front and to hang your coat. Plus passengers get to choose what they want from the on-board shop (a reasonable range) free of charge. We had a tasty pork meal (cold meal) and wine served with a proper Orrefors glasses. Staff were very friendly attentive and obliging to requests. The flight was on time (very nearly full) and went smoothly. At Manchester our priority tagged bags were first on the belt again an excellent Manchester service - landing to driving off home 30mins. A great product a relaxed style Plus/business class though with all the usual perks well worth the money.

After having travelled BA for several years I was happy to see SAS flying non-stop from SFO to CPH so booked for my trip to Denmark in September for a Nov 5 2014 flight. Unfortunately the flight was cancelled (mechanical) after several hours of delay. It was chaos! At one point only one agent was handling all the passengers. We were given a number for hotel reservation. No hotel nearby had any vacancies. We were also told to call the next day between 10 and 12 to rebook. A co-passenger and I finally found rooms at a motel. He was contacted by e-mail that he was booked on a flight to IAD on United the next morning so I also went back to SFO and through the white courtesy phone found that I was booked on United to ORD SAS to Stockholm and SAS to CPH arriving Nov 7 at 10am. Not having eaten for quite a while I had to buy lunch on United but they did give us a bottle of water gratis. On the SAS flight they wanted to charge for a small bottle of wine until they found out we were the unfortunate SFO passengers and did give us lunch and wine. On the flight to Stockholm they wanted to charge us for a bottle of water! All of a sudden Heathrow Terminal 5 does not look so bad after all.

LHR-OSL-EWR-ARN-LHR. Positives: good price to mileage earning ratio. Short connections and convenient timings. Excellent long-haul amenity kits and catering product (tasty meals self-serve snack area including espresso machine cocktail menu large second meal). Negatives: Chaotic boarding with no priority for Star Alliance Gold. Bizarre and inflexible operating procedures - blankets are removed form passengers for the landing when the air con is cranked up to full and everyone freezes (I was told this was standard on all airlines and for our safety yet Economy passengers are allowed to keep their blankets). IFE okay but not gate-to-gate and headphones removed from Business passengers before the landing. Staff with the exception of the purser EWR-ARN terrible with no customer focus all keen to serve quickly and then chat in the galleys. The angled bed is extremely uncomfortable for a night flight. There is no longer any Business Class on the European sectors so travelled in SAS Plus. This product is dire. Plastic boxes with tired cold meats and cheeses plastic cutlery and stale bread even charter airlines in the 1970s managed to serve a better version of this plastic product. Supposedly passengers are able to order for free items from the Economy Go in-flight sales cart - on LHR-OSL this was not offered at all on ARN-LHR it was offered to some passengers and not others and when I requested an item I was told it was sold out even though sitting in row 1.

Trondheim-Oslo-Stockholm-Helsinki then Lulea-Stockholm-London Heathrow. A lot of flights but the price was right and very I thought very reasonable and cheap as long as you book well ahead. My flight from Trondheim to Oslo was cancelled (1st leg of my Helsinki flight) but they did thankfully get me to Helsinki on 3 separate flights the same night and I arrived at 12.30am but worked for me. The airline staff were nice and friendly very un-eventful trips and tea and coffee was free - that was all. The airline is now a budget airline and has lost that wow factor. As the price was a bargain I booked but BA would of been my preferred airline as at least you still get food and drink for free! But as I was flying into such expensive airports like Heathrow Stockholm Helsinki and Oslo this was my only option.

We flew SAS 943 from Copenhagen to Chicago on 9/24/14. We were anticipating a relaxing trip home after touring Europe. However what we experienced was certainly not relaxing or enjoyable. We sat in the middle seats and were extremely uncomfortable because it was very hot in this part of the plane. There was obviously no air conditioning. When we got up to use the bathroom we realized that it wasn't that hot in the other areas of the plane. We traveled during the day and the movies weren't working so we had a 9 hour flight without any access to movies. That made for an extremely long trip especially because it was a daytime flight. To make matters worse my husband was sitting on the aisle seat and the flight attendant ran into him four times with her food cart even through he made it a point to keep his arms and legs out of the aisle. We paid $2100 for our flights to and from Europe. For that amount of money we should not have had these types of happenings. Another trip to Europe is in our plans for next year and unfortunately we will seek out another airline to use for our travels because of our recent experience.

I travelled with SAS from Stockholm to Athens. Quick boarding. The staff were unfriendly but the food was tasty although we had to pay for it - I paid 8 Euros for a breakfast. The plane was dirty.

CPH-SFO in SAS Plus. SAS Plus is not quite business but far better than Premium Economy on most airlines. For example I've flown Y+ on KLM which basically means a little more legroom but otherwise the same as Y. With SAS Plus however you get FastTrack security check Lounge Access (at least their CPH lounge is pretty good with showers decent food and alcohol selection and fairly quiet at least when I flew quick internet access). The flight itself is in a bit wider seats than Y (wide enough to not be a problem I sat next to a "heavier" gentleman and we had no issues with the shared armrest) and with more than enough legroom. The food and drink service is also much better than in normal Y class. Unlimited alcoholic drinks and snacks throughout the flight and fairly good inflight meals (both dinner and breakfast - I really enjoyed the breakfast) with steal cutlery ceramics and glass instead of plastic plastic and plastic. Together with the 200% FF miles earning this was all a good value compared to regular economy. Especially if you upgrade through OptionTown. The only negatives is the tiny and dimly lit IFE system - I would have been better off watching a movie on my phone or tablet. However movie selection was good and recent (with at least a handful of the current year's blockbusters already available). And as always with SAS the cabin crew was excellent.

ORD-ARN on A333 14-Oct. Lie flat seats and cabin were a bit worn but provided overall OK comfort. Staff was reasonably friendly and had good presence during flight. Food was good for both main and arrival meals. Lounge was good in Chicago. Amenity kit provided with mask socks etc. Flight boarded a bit late but arrived on time. Overall good flight experience.
