"shuttled through multiple desks"

Trip Verified | Berlin to Boston via Zurich. We had paid to reserve bulkhead seats for our flights. Due to an equipment change, this was not honored on our first (short) flight. Eventually, we got the seats that we had paid for on our return flight, but only after being shuttled through multiple desks and customer service agents, and providing documentation.

"did not dim the lights"

Trip Verified | Manchester to Zürich. This was a night takeoff and the cabin crew did not dim the lights. Additionally, for takeoff and landing 2 crew checked set belts but ignored the fact that a number of passengers had their seats reclined.

"Bad compensation"

Trip Verified | Flew Swiss from Zurich to Barcelona. Bad compensation for totally overbooked flight. Almost no advantage compared to Vueling or easyJet. There is only little food and the quality is bad. The space is very limited and cooling/heating is not very good.

"Insulting and discriminatory"

Trip Verified | Swiss Intl Air Lines now discriminate if you fly to Geneva! From/to Zürich you get the standard food and all drinks included (as stated on their website). Fly to/from Geneva and you get water. All food and anything other than water you have to pay for, including tea or coffee. The cabin crew hate the policy as do the passengers. Insulting and discriminatory.

"very disappointed by Swiss"

Trip Verified | Zurich to Bangkok. Unfortunately for me the flight to Bangkok was very uncomfortable due to the very little leg room. Compared with the domestic flight with Bangkok Airways the leg room was here 15 cm more and quite comfortable. Certainly you can make a reservation to Swiss Air in advanced for seats with more legroom near the emergency exits but you need good luck to get it, also you have to pay ca. 110 CHF. I am very disappointed by Swiss.

"a very poor experience"

Not Verified | Boston to Barcelona via Zürich. Poor experience overall. Not one of the 4 flights were on time. From Boston into Zürich, we were delayed by the crew. Even though we got into Zürich with 30 minutes to spare, they bumped us because it was inconvenient for them to get our luggage switched. Then, that flight was delayed causing us nearly miss our flight. When we raised concerns, the customer service rep in Zürich tucked tail and pointed us to a 3rd party desk. Also, the plane from Boston to Zürich was very cramped and when reclined, there is zero space. Then, on the Zürich to Boston trip, we were again late because they waited for some 1st class passengers (where was that service for us) and we missed our bus transfer home. Thankfully there was one more for the night but we had to wait 2 hours. Just a very poor experience, bad service and a why should I care attitude. One high note, the crew from Zürich to Boston were awesome, very empathetic and apologized over and over. Too bad they do not run the customer service end of things

"two very nice flights"

Trip Verified | Barcelona to Berlin via Zürich. These were two very nice flights with a highly motivated and very friendly crew. The service was great, the food was delicious and the Swiss red wine excellent. The planes were in very good condition, especially the CS 300, almost new and very comfortable. Any time gladly again!

"not a pleasant flight"

Trip Verified | Zurich to Bangkok. This was not a pleasant flight. Lack of segregated boarding, low standard food and beverage offering, cramped cabin. They really pack them in in Swiss Business and it's 2nd class. Perfunctory cabin service, perhaps the biggest issue though is the seat. In a 2 year old plane how is it possible that a quarter of the seats do no have direct aisle access? In addition there is minimal storage for personal items and a pretty ordinary IFE selection.

"friendly and multilingual crew"

Trip Verified | Zurich to Chicago. Swiss used a A330-300 outbound named Neuchatel (HB-JHH, age 8.2 years). Very friendly and multilingual crew. One flight attendant spoke Spanish, English and German. She was excellent. Tasty meals (chicken and spaetzle). Amount of food could be increased as I left the plane feeling peckish. Legroom limited for a bigger person like me (height 6'2). When the seat in front was reclined, my knees could feel it. Age of the plane visible in not-so-responsive and rather smallish IFE-screens. Movie selection limited compared to other competitors. Cabin and toilets were clean. Captain sent a friendly hello from the flight deck which is appreciated. Return leg on pretty new B777-300ER. IFE-screens were huge for economy standards and more responsive. Crew again friendly and professional crew, although I felt they should have responded quicker to an elder couple that was struggling to find free overhead space. Legroom was better on this flight. Meals were inferior to outbound leg, bland chicken and rice. Cleanliness again on a good standard. Again the friendly hello from the Captain was appreciated. Conclusion: Overall I have to compliment Swiss. I will choose Swiss flights operated on the Boeing 777-300ER whenever available (they use both on certain days from Zurich to Chicago) due to bigger legroom and superior screens. However, the A330 offers one advantage, the 2-4-2 setup against the 3-4-3 of the B777 in Economy.

"whole flight was excellent"

Trip Verified | London to Tel Aviv via Zurich. The flight from London to Zurich was very good. The plane was new and modern, service was very good and the sandwich and drinks were of a good standard. The transfer was really easy for the Tel Aviv flight. I ordered a vegetarian meal. The gnocci was of a very high standard with cherry tomatoes and was served very hot. The plane and toilets were very clean. Audio had plenty of movies to choose from. The whole flight was excellent and I am looking forward to travelling again Swiss. Of course the chocolate was the nice ending to my flights
