LGW-YUL Air Transat Club was a good experience. The check-in was opened earlier than billed, and
went smoothly. Quite a scrum at the gate but Club passengers called first. Friendly welcome onboard,
champagne was served. A310 clean, seats in club about 34" pitch, limited recline being last row
before bulkhead 3A/3B, but comfortable. Club purser introduced himself and explained what would be
available, he gave out the menu cards and said that not all meal requests could be honoured but
pointed out the best seats to choose in future for best meal choice. Having said that, our meal
choice was not given but it was tasty. Drinks available throughout the flight and a light meal
before landing at Trudeau. The crew are friendly without being obtrusive.

Toronto to Punta Cana my husband and I were seated in 2A/2B Club Class. The first problem was the
seat directly in front of me (1A) the passenger in that seat didn't want to eat or read, only sleep,
which is great except that her seat folded back right into my lap, she was trying to curl up in the
seat with her feet up against the wall directly in front of her, when it came time to eat I couldn't
get my tray down in front of me to eat - when the stewardess asked the passenger to put her chair
upright she became quite annoyed to say the least, when I finally finished my meal the tray was
taken away, back she went into the fully reclined position. This was very uncomfortable for me as
it was difficult to move around in my seat, I have a problem with my knees (replacement) and need
the extra room to move around and exercise while I am sitting. (this is one of the reasons we only
book Club Class). When it came time to go to the bathroom, the same problem, the stewardess finally
moved her into two available seats (1D/E), the only problem with this was her husband moved into the
seat so he could have 2 seats and the same problem with him leaning all of the way back, the
stewardesses were quite sympathetic to my concerns, I do believe there was something wrong with the
seat, none of the other seats seemed to go back that far. 2nd problem - most of the meal selection
was unavailable, we had to trade meals in order to what we could eat. 3rd problem - upon arriving
in the Dominican, we waited for the luggage to come, it became apparent that one of our pieces of
luggage did not arrive with the flight. We filled out a claim at the Punta Cana airport, and were
told to call the next day to see if our luggage was found. On the Monday afternoon we met with our
Air Transat representative, she took all of the information and said she would get back to us when
she knew more, we spoke to her every day to check on the luggage, well finally 5 days later we get a
call to say that the luggage was left in Toronto and would be out on a flight that day and we should
have it sometime during the evening. We paid for Club Class because you are supposed to get
Priority Handling, well this didn't happen, it is a good thing we were staying another week, so we
did get to use the items in the lost luggage. We had to buy a few essentials and clothing from the
resort, but to date, and after sending in the original receipts, etc. have nothing from Air Transat
baggage. We did receive a letter on February 4th 2008, stating that they would look into our claim
within the next 6 - 8 weeks, well we have heard nothing yet and it is now April. We have flown
with Air Transat Club Class on a number of occasions with no problems, but this time our experience
was a nightmare. I do like the Club Class option to a flight, but I am very hesitant to book again
with Air Transat, I will definitely look into other options for our vacations.

My partner and I flew economy on Air Transat from London to Vancouver. We were returning to BC after
living in the UK for 4.5 yrs. We sent a considerable amount of excess baggage as cargo on the same
flight. The cargo fees, alone, cost us approximately $1100.00. We spent a similar amount for our two
economy tickets. When we left London, our hold baggage was overweight, which cost us an additional
$150.00. Considering the 1100 additional dollars we gave Air Transat, we asked that the $150.00 in
overweight fees be waived. Air Transat officials, petty as they are, would not budge.

After a wonderful week's vacation at the Marina Palace in Varadero, Cuba, and the time for returning
home to Halifax drew near, there were rumblings among fellow travelers of delays and difficulties at
the Varadero airport. However, since travel arrangements were beyond our control, I felt the best
attitude was to remain positive and have faith in the Transat Reps who would surely make our needs
and comforts a priority. To my disappointment, this was not the case. The flight was delayed to a
departure time of 2 am and we were so advised. We were advised of no further delays while at the
hotel, and so boarded the 10:30 bus to Varadero airport. Immediately upon arrival at the airport, we
were advised that our flight was further delayed until 6 am. Since the flight from Halifax to
Varadero is approximately four hours, it became clear to my fellow travel and me that we had been
brought to airport before the plane had even left the ground in Halifax. We were STUCK! We soon
discovered that we were not alone - that there were indeed two plane loads of people stuck in the
Varadero airport until morning. Varadero airport is what it is and Transat Representatives would
surely have been aware of the lack of facilities available to travelers. By midnight, the so called
food court - which sells Pringles and day old bread, water and black tea was closed; the bathrooms
had run out of toilet tissue and hand soap and were smelling worse than any outdoor latrine. There
were not enough places for people to sit, let along sleep. We felt left to cope in an extremely
difficult situation - trapped and abandoned. There was no sign of anyone to act our behalf, no
effort made to offer us the needs of life (water & food) let alone any comforts such as blankets. We
had simply and obviously been dumped! Was this considered part of the Cuban experience? a cruel joke
to those with small children, or medical conditions? I am fully aware of the glitches that can occur
during air travel, and consider myself to be patient and well prepared to unplanned circumstances;
however, as a result of this experience, I will make every effort to fly with any other airline in
the future. There is no excuse for this kind of abandonment.

We recently flew Air Transat from Toronto to Orlando. It wasn't the first time they proved
themselves incompetent, but for us it will be the last. We called the airline before leaving for
the airport and were told the flight was on time. Upon arrival at Pearson, however, we learned they
had no crew and were "phoning around to see if they could find crew." Our flight finally departed 7
after scheduled. During the flight, Air Transat kindly advised the $5 fee for the headsets would be
waived due to the seven hour delay. Oh - thank you very much.

I flew with Air Transat Feb 26 on TS476 to the Dominican and returned March 4 on TS 477. During the
incident of being grounded due to sick passengers, the crew went to the front of the plane and
ignored the nervous/worried passengers. Would give us very little news. Fellow passengers were
handing out water to the rest of us. I thought that flight crews were trained for this type of
incident. Obviously our flight crew forgot that. Will never fly Air Transat again. Will pay more
for other airlines.

4 March 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
I booked what seemed reasonably priced flights with Air Transat for my family, and before we've even
flown, they've soured the experience. During payment procedure for the flights the option to book
specific seats was flagged, and I chose not to. Once the payment had been made, this option again
came up, this time noting prices starting at £10 per seat. Again, I declined. Within two hours of
booking I was phoned by a company representative querying that I had not booked seats and informing
me that most customers chose to do so. I pointed out that I objected to paying what would be an
extra £60 for my family for a service most other airlines can provide without payment. The
representative cut me off by telling me there were only three groups of three seats left on my
flights, these being the only way we would all sit together. Frankly, I don't believe them, but on
the other hand I can't afford to take the chance that my young daughter will have to endure a long
haul flight sitting next to strangers. It's little short of blackmail. Air Transat will get that
extra £60 but it comes at the cost of my never flying with them again irrespective of the service.

Sure, the seats are not for overly large people, but I am a bit plump and of average height, and

Vancouver to Amsterdam.

Just flew with Air Transat to Cancun in January. Most uncomfortable flight I have ever had. Seats
are small and cramped. If the person ahead of you reclines your seat, you cant even get out of
yours. I am not a big person, but the guy beside me was, and spilled into my seat. The food was
terrible. My head set would not work on the way down and my light was broken on the way back. I
nicely asked the attendent if there was anything we could do to fix the light and she told me she
was not a mechanic in a very rude tone. So there I was for 6 hours unable to sleep, in a tight
space and unable to read because it was too dark. Most of the other staff was ok though. Funny
thing happened when we returned home. The doors to the plane froze shut so we could not get our
luggage off the plane for two hours. After flying all night we had to wait by the baggage carousel
for two hours and there wasn't much seating. What's funny about it is my husband's brother flew
with them two days later and the same thing happened to their plane. What's that about.

Travelled with Air Transat from LGW to Toronto return in Nov 2007, and it was the worst flying
experience ever. I'm 6ft 6in tall, therefore I booked extra legroom seats in both directions; on
checking-in I was told that those seats had already been allocated, as it turns out to people who
hadn't paid any extra! The cabin crew were unable to help and basically said that this happens all
the time as bookings in the UK are handled by Canadian Affair who don't pass the information on -
even though they're keen to take the money! Luckily another passenger gave up his seat for me as he
was of "normal" height! Air Transat seats are very narrow and uncomfortable. On the return leg,
the flight departed 4 hours EARLIER than scheduled resulting in us missing the flight as Canadian
Affair were unable to contact us in Canada. We were put on the next day's flight out, but Canadian
Affair would not book us a hotel, so we paid for that ourselves. As we weren't on the correct
return flight I once again missed out on the extra legroom seats I had booked ! My advice, avoid Air
Transat & Canadian Affair!

Air Transat to Panama - left on New Year's eve. Sure, this is not an ideal flight time for anyone,
but the dismissive crew onboard were anything but festive. We had just begun our vacation and it was
off to a very poor start. Half the people on the flight were frolicking about, making it almost
impossible to rest. And considering we had been at the airport since 4am with younger children, we
needed rest. The staff were belligerent, would not get my family any pillows or blankets. What makes
things worse is the flight home to Toronto - crew were awful. They were yelling at people, treating
elderly with disrespect and ignoring their needs. They made several PA announcements warning people
that they would not have people walking around during the flight at all. Pardon me, but when you are
flying with children or anyone that requires to get up for a few minutes to shake out their legs.
This apparently was not acceptable. I agree with other clients - the "Very Poor/1 Star Rating" is
heaps and bounds more than they deserve

Vancouver to Cancun return. On the flight down my wife and I were seated in two of the three seats
in the middle section of row 18. We were quite happy when no one showed up to sit in the third seat
as we could then "share" the middle seat. Unfortunately our row along with several of the rows
around us had no power at the seat controls so that meant we could not turn on our lights or get any
of the music channels. We also couldn't listen to the movie. Found the crew to be pleasant and they
were constantly passing out water, juice, pop or hot beverages. The food was very sparse and not the
greatest. On the trip back we were very fortunate to get emergency exit seats in the centre section,
so we had lots of legroom. The width of the seats is very narrow, the narrowest that I have ever sat
in and it made for a long flight home. The crew on this flight were a little more mixed with some
being very attentive and some being very curt. We had to ask for water as they only served liquids
with the meal and the snack so we ended up quite thirsty waiting for the liquids to be served. We
only flew with this airline because it was a package deal. Would I fly with Air Transat again? No!
Life is too short to be that uncomfortable for that many hours.

We flew with Air Transat in September to Belfast. Our return flight time was changed a total of 3
times, all but 2 we were notified about before departing from Toronto. Our flight was once again
changed while we were in Belfast, I should correct myself - our flight was cancelled and we were put
on an earlier flight on the same day. We were not advised of the change via email and telephone as
we were in Toronto. We were not the only ones that missed our flight that day, we did contact the
airport as well to check our flight schedule - no changes were made. In the end, we arrived at the
airport for the final boarding call of the new flight that we were supposed to be on, they wouldn't
hold it for us - therefore we missed our flight. We ended up having to book another flight through
a travel agent leaving the next day to Hamilton - we couldn't even get one back to Toronto. This
cost $900 (our original tickets including taxes were less than this!). Air Transat took from
September until the end of November to 'investigate our claim, and finally said it falls under the
jurisdiction of the Tour Operator - aka Not Air Transat problem. Very poor is too nice of rating for
Air Transat as far as I'm concerned.

Toronto Pearson to Panama City Tocumen return on an Airbus A330. The check-in in Toronto was fast,
and there were no problems with baggage, but the flights to Panama and back were the worst I have
experienced. My seat in economy class was very cramped and uncomfortable, and located between two
washrooms near the front of the plane. T The breakfast was atrocious. Two hours into the flight,
people began to crowd the aisles and have loud conversations with other passengers, and Flight
Attendants did little to make such passengers return to their seats. The return from Panama City to
Toronto was characterized by cramped seats, rude passengers and flight attendants who seemed
overwhelmed at times. I tried sleeping, but was kept awake - when I asked for a newspaper, I was
told that they were reserved for the twenty or so business class passengers. Flight Director had to
go on the PA several times to tell people to sit down, which only helped a bit.

Puerto Vallarta to Vancouver. Although we arrived three hours before the flight, the Transat rep.
arbitrarily assigned us two cramped seats without aisle access. So cramped it was impossible to do
some of the seat exercises their video recommends. The soggy pizza passed off as a "light meal" was
pretty bad. We have travelled with Air Transat many times in the past, but this flight illustrated
me why Transat has missed expectations recently. If you can book bulkhead or two abreast seats at
the back for extra bucks, okay. Otherwise, I recommend avoiding the airline now if possible. Our
last flight with West Jet was like night and day, compared to this wretched experience.

Just returned on a flight from Puerto Vallata to Calgary. Decided to pay the extra $150 to upgrade
to Club Class. Not worth it! Little more leg room and better food the only advantage. Crew most
sour I had encountered. Seemed to be waited on better going down in Economy. Did not see a crew
member for the last hour of the flight. Sat with empty glasses, cans etc. for over 15 min and
finally took them up myself. Upon arrival in Calgary could not exit the front door so we were the
last to leave and at the end of the customs line.

Booked with Canadian Affair. Outward flight via Thomas Cook Airlines
was the best charter flight we have travelled , all leather seats & a very generous seat
pitch. Food and service were also good. Had booked same seats on return Thomas Cook flight, but when we arrived at Toronto no such flight appeared
on the scheduled departures for that day. Panic stations - eventually, with the help of the
information desk, who managed to contact Canadian Affairs representative on the phone, they
advised that we had been transferred to Air Transat, but that they had omitted to tell some
customers, including ourselves. Because this flight took off some two hours later than the Thomas
Cook one was due to take off, it meant we had to sit around in the terminal building for 7 hours,
then discovered that Air Transat very narrow seats with a lousy seat pitch made it a nightmare of
a return journey.

LGW-YYZ-LGW: I think the main complaint was the seating. I paid an extra £15 to choose my seating, so
the legroom was not a problem. However the seats were extremely narrow, which made it unpleasant for
the 8 hour journey. And the IFE screen was slightly obscured where I was sitting on the outbound
journey. Everything else was fine, check in, service, food, drink etc, and the flights were on time.

I don't agree with the last comment about Air Transat Club. The leg room is no more that about 34",
but seats are wider than economy and I found them more than adequate for a seven hour flight. I also
found the cabin service to be excellent; much better than exec first on AC. The breakfast offerings
were not up to much, but dinner on return flight was really good. I think Club Transat is well worth
the extra money.

Gatwick to Toronto return. First my outward flight was changed so it stopped off at Ottawa and so
added an extra 2 hours to the flight and then the return was cancelled so we had to get a later
flight. The outward flight were in Row 13 which is an extra leg room row. We paid extra for this and
it was nice. Although be warned. We sat in AB by the window. If you sit in the middle which I think is
DEF then be ready for everyone using it as a shortcut. The stewardess told people not to but people
still did. There is a toilet on the other side of the plane which everyone uses as the others are at
the back. The food was okay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The seats were very narrow.
The return flight we were in 29JK which were good seats. From around 28 back the seats go from 3-3-3
to 2-3-2 and so we had two seats together on our own which were wider than the 3 seats. So I would
suggest you go for seats at the back of the plane. Also all the toilets are at the back of the plane
and there isn't many of them so thats a plus point. I felt more comfortable in the wider seats than
the ones with extra leg room. The TV screens are hard to see and take your own earphones. They have
music channels as well as audio channel for the TV. 20kg baggage allowance is strictly enforced and
each bag must not weigh more than 20KG. They charge £5/S10 per extra kg. Overall I would use them
again. But if your use to little extras then avoid them. They provide a basic service which is
acceptable for the price. By the way Club Class is a waste of money as the seats aren't much wider
than the ones at the back of the plane and there isn't that much more leg room. You just get free
headphones but you do get extra baggage allowance.

I was flying back from Montreal and the plane was on time so
that was a good start. Leg room was a bit tight but no problems with width. I didn't like the food,

28 October 2007 Customer Trip Rating :
I have flown with Air Transat London Gatwick to Montreal, and then Vancouver to London Gatwick.
London to Montreal was very comfortable - a tip is to choose the seats at the back which are 2x3x2. My
boyfriend and I had the first row of this combination (we booked in advance, it was £9 each), with 2
seats at the side (row 25 if this helps!) and we had SO much leg room, it looked like more than they
even had in Club. We didn't think that the seats were too narrow either. The food was okay, I never
expect anything much from any airline! And we had free soft and hot drinks. The staff were really
nice, they always looked happy and were chatting with passengers. Vancouver to London was also good.
We paid £29 each for emergency exit seats which meant that we had a lot of leg room again, we could
stretch out as much as we wanted. Although if I flew with them again, I would just prebook the seats
we had for the London to Montreal flight. Again, the food was okay. The staff were friendly again, and
the 9.5 hour flight went pretty quickly. The airline does not have seatback tv which is the only
downside as some seats are out of range of a tv. In the emergency seats though, we had a tv right in
front of us. The films were okay. Both flights left on time, and we didn't have to wait too long for
our baggage at either end - it was slightly longer at Gatwick but I always find they have quite a long
wait for baggage there. After flying with Air Transat I am glad we booked with them as the cost was so
low and we were pleased with our experiences with them.

Club Class with Transat from Edinburgh to Toronto return. Both flights were on time, the cost was
similar to flying economy on BA or Air Canada without the hassle of changing planes at Heathrow.
The service on both flights was excellent, food a tad boring (chicken or pasta) the wine flowed

Paris CDG to Montreal YUL, Club class. Information on Air Transat is almost impossible to get in
Australia, so we approached the flight with some concern. The flight was excellent. Seating
comfortable and leg room adequate. Cabin crew pleasant and eager to help. Food was good, varied,
tasty and reasonable portions. Drinks plentiful and of good quality; we particularly enjoyed the
icewine. The flight left and arrived on time, and baggage was prompt to carousel. This was an
excellent introduction to Air Transat; it certainly left most regular North American airline flights,
including business class, we have experienced for dead.

Man-Toronto-Man. We booked through Canadian Affair, flew Air Transat on the way out, Thomas Cook
Airlines on the way home. Booked extra leg room seats, good thing we did, seats are extremely narrow
- the seats are 3x3x3. We didn't have anyone sitting next to us so we were able to spread out, the
armrest on seats next the exit doors do not move. Club Class seats didn't look much better, glad we
didn't waste our money booking them. Complimentary drinks are served through out the flight, but the
food is poor so be sure to have food before you fly. Flight crew were nice and friendly. Overall not
bad but they do need to sort out the width of the seats, its a long time to be squeezed into a seat.

I travelled back to Gatwick from Calgary this week in Economy, it was just awful. I was in an aisle
seat in the centre three - when I got to the seat, a man was in the centre seat, I said hello and he
just glared at me and claimed the armrest. I squeezed into the seat but had to lean out into the aisle
as he was spilling over into my seat. He wasn't massive, but the seats were so narrow there just
wasn't room for both of us. After take-off I asked to be moved and luckily there was one spare seat
with nobody next to it. I didn't get to see any films as I couldn't see a screen from my seat. There
were only three toilets available and one was broken, the lines were very long which caused
disturbance to the people in the last ten or so rows. The food was ok, cabin crew were very nice. It
must be very difficult for them to work in such horrible conditions with so many unhappy passengers.

Manchester to Montreal economy return. We wanted the convenience of Manchester and booked with
Canadian Affair on a Thomas Cook service paying extra for more legroom. Canadian Affair changed
flights to Air Transat months after booking and we lost the extra legroom. Check-in was quick and AT
Services were on time (or early) but these were the only good points. Ground staff not helpful re
legroom and threatened us with surcharges because one case was less than 1 Kg overweight on return.
The lack of legroom was unbelievable - 'knees under chin'. Physically painful when the seat in front
reclined. Sleep impossible. Food was appalling (and we are used to poor airline food). Return flight
(overnight) was the worst we have ever experienced. Perhaps 'club' is better but seats were not
available.

Vancouver to London Gatwick. We had paid for extra legroom and were in Row 9 on the Airbus, adjacent
to the entrance door. Although cabin staff, when there, told passengers that the space between Rows 8
& 9 was NOT an aisle, passengers nevertheless treated it as such as a route for exercise and to and
from the toilets. In the event, the legroom we had paid extra for did not materialise as we were
stepped over, trodden on and bumped so that the undisturbed journey and sleep were not possible. It
needs to be made clear that the legspace is not a thoroughfare as cabin staff cannot always be there
to fend off intruders. We are very disappointed, having flown many times with Air Transat in the past.

Vancouver-Gatwick-Vancouver. Very attentive attendants on both legs, served plenty of drinks through
flight. Resonable food, vegetarian options available if pre-booked. Clean aircraft. Considering that
we paid 775CAD for a roundtrip during peak season, I would say they offer a very good product for the
money. The only downfall is leg room, however the few last side rows with only 2 seats appear more
comfortable, and can be pre-booked for 20CAD, worth it.

Manchester to Toronto and back. Both ways we booked row 13 E and F seats for their legroom. The seats
are far too narrow and this meant we had a most uncomfortable flight. On the return leg we had a
toilet adjacent which meant people used our space as an aisle to the toilet. Neither of us could sleep
due to the constant abuse we took from other passengers climbing across our legs. The crew were not
helpful and despite several requests made no attempt to stop people doing so. The narrowness of the
seats made it impossible to get comfortable as we each fought with each other, and our neighbour for
arm space. The food was unacceptable even for a low cost airline.

Toronto to Glasgow. Arriving 6 hours early for check in we were told that 80% of seating had already
been allocated and that if we wanted to sit together it would be the second last row where there are
only 2 seats together. Then the aircraft was changed at the very last minute and subsequently departed
1 hour late. Now we were in the back row, no recline and right next to the toilet, of which there were
only three on board for a 7 hour flight for 300 people. I am of average height at 5'10" and my legs
could not move being jammed against the seat in front. Very strange system of serving food, start at
the front and just work till you get to the back. Seats are 3x3x3 and be warned are very cramped.
Food disgusting and the air conditioning poor whilst all the time spewing out fumes from the
overloaded toilets making passengers sick.

LGW-YVR-GLA A330-200. Aircraft clean, flight attendants polite and courteous, catering OK, in-flight
entertainment was fine. Check-in process quick, flights on time and prices cheaper than the
competition. They also operate to regional airports which is a big plus for those of us not living
near London. There was one bad point: the seat. I'm of average height and the pitch was barely
adequate for a short-haul charter flight, never mind a nine and a half hour flight. Just as bad was
the seat width - nine abreast on an A330 is tight to say the least. The fact that they squeeze more
passengers on the A330-200 than they do on the bigger A330-300 is something of a give-away. Whilst
this was bearable on the way out, the overnight flight home was a test of endurance. If you are less

carriers.
