DUS-STN-GLA return. I was surprised by the excellent service offered by
Air Berlin and the cabin staff. Really nice sandwiches and free soft
drinks, you wont find that on any other low-cost-airline.

BHD-STN on a Fokker f100. Flight was 2 hours late. Good comfortable
leather seats with lots of legroom very quite at front of aircraft where
I was seat 2A but noisy at back drinks served but no free food offered
even though on there website it said they do. Is this normal can someone
tell me. Would recommend this airline even though flight was 2 hours
late.

ZRH-TXL-ZRH. Flight to TXL in a Boing 737-400. Brown non leather seats a
bit cramped and not very comfortable, leg room less than in the BAe 146
of Eurowings I used on my last flight to TXL. Free newspaper, small, but
very tasty sandwich, free soft drinks, friendly crew. Flight back in an
Airbus 320, new, thin leather seats the same as Swiss has in their
refurbished planes. All in all pleasant but quite equivalent to what you
get from Swiss. I will choose flights to TXL mainly based on the price,
where Air Berlin often has an advantage when booking very early, but
soon gets more expensive. One advantage of Air Berlin is their frequent
flyer programm, which really earns its name.

Frankfurt to Zurich, economy class (one class only). I've used this
airline before and wasn't aware that they're expanding their fleet of
737s with Airbus 320s. So a very new plane with bright blue seats give
the cabin a very fresh look. I was lucky to get an aisle seat in the
exit row and was able to stretch out as like I were in C class, the
regular pitch is comfortable as well. When boarding you're offered
newspapers, magazines and candy. Cabin crew was friendly, attractive and
efficient. From take-off to landing the flight took exactly 30 minutes.
Nonetheless all passengers were given a fresh and very tasty egg and
cheese sandwich and a bottle of water. Take off and landing were
precisely on time. My conclusion is that if AB flies to the place you
want to go, book the flight with them. They offer much better service
than all European national carriers, their prices are lower, their staff
young, attentive and friendly, their planes new (average 3 years), they
have a great safety record and a unique frequent flyer program where the
taxes and fuel surcharges (which are often more than the actual flight)
on bonus tickets are paid by AB and not by the customer! It's great to
see AB expanding, hopefully they'll be offering longhaul flights to
selected destinations in some time. The concept is excellent: low cost,
full service. I don't know how they do it but it works. The earlier you
book the cheaper the flight, some of the introduction fares are 1 Euro
fares!

BCN-DUS-HEL-DUS-STN. Four sectors on Air Berlin, for a grand total of
less than 180 Euros. BCN-DUS 737-800, new plane with airshow on drop
down screens. DUS-HEL and back was on board an F100, smaller plane with
no IFE, but more comfortable than the 737s. New 737 700 DUS-STN,
slightly cramped as the plane was packed with world cup fans, but only a
short flight so no complaints. Crew on all flights extremely friendly,
with sweets on take off and again before landing. (Even had chocolates
on one of the flights!) Free sandwiches are tasty and help plug any
hunger gaps! Dusseldorf Airport is new and easy to use. (Although
there's no TVs once you go through border control - which made world cup
viewing tough!). All in all, would highly recommend. By far the best low
cost carrier have ever flown with.

5 July 2006
Best low cost airline I've found. I flew return to Alicante from
Stansted in June 2006, the check-in at Stansted was very easy - 6 desks
open so no waiting and the return flight was just as easy. Reserved
seats so no boarding very relaxed. Free newspaper & sweet before
takeoff, pillow offered after takeoff and then a free ham or cheese roll
with the choice of a hot or cold drink - all no charge!!! Duty free
sales the cheapest I've seen on a EU zone flight and finally a free Kit-
Kat before landing. All in all flying with Air Berlin was a pleasure and
if you book early they can work out cheaper than Easyjet or Ryanair, and
anyway who wants to fly with Easyjet or Ryanair when there's Air Berlin
who treat you a person and not a nuisance!

Dusseldorf - Vienna - Dusseldorf. Check-In in DUS was quick, although 5
minutes before boarding the gate was changed. 737-700 with a bit tight
leg-room, but all in all comfortable. No IFE on this flight. Service was
good, flight attendants were friendly and though they had a hard job on
this full aircraft, they always had time for a short joke. Drinks were
cooled well and cheese-sandwich was good. Departure and Arrival
perfectly on time. Return flight was on a brand new A320. Very nice
interior with Recaro leather seats. Enough leg room. Very comfortable
and simply stunning moving map displays. Service was again very good.
Got the same sandwich as on the first flight. And once again: planned
arrival in DUS 09:40am, actual: 09:38am. All in all a perfect service
for 80€ (both flights!). Highly recommended.

Bournemouth to Paderborn and return. I agree with all the compliments

fever, a very efficient and friendly service. It is just a pity that it
needs to use Bournemouth which does not fit with this image.

Stansted - Belfast. Quick check in at STN, which, in the middle of the
early morning wave of low cost movements was a big plus. Boarding was
quick and hassle free (amazing how allocated seats makes it quicker than
the usual LC free for all!). FA's were polite and genuinely dedicated to
good service. Everything else was up to typical german standards of
efficiency. With this level of service from a low cost (but not low
standards) at a price which was less than my 2 day car parking cost,
what more do you need. 10 out of 10 for AB. I would strongly recommend
them to anybody and look forward to their route network expanding.

My second time with Air Berlin and still nothing to complain about. Far
from it. This is a LCC with retention of basic service, on my flights a
perfectly satisfactory roll and a drink with hot drinks routinely
offered in addition to ones cold drink. We flew STN-ALC-STN, a fairly
new route for BER operated by one of their ubiquitous B737-700s. The
cabin crew were highly effective and not at all intrusive with, for
example, the additional selling. Flights on time both ways and air
jetties at STN and for the return from ALC. BER do some excellent fares
and are well worth trying.

Berlin Tegel TXL-Vienna and it earned its 4 star Low Cost airline
rating. Polite and courteous staff at the check in counter and check-in
was very quick and no hassle despite our group luggage was over the
limit at 23 kg. Flight departs on time and was full. Good and comfy
leather seats on clean Boeing 737 aircraft. Complimentary sandwiches and
drinks which most LCCs don't offer. Very attentive crew who don't
hesitate to please you. I would rate Air Berlin to be just a little
notch behind NIKI airline and would put the likes of Ryanair and Easyjet
to shame with their superb service. Fantastic value for money. I would
not hesitate to recommend Air Berlin to my friends.

London Stansted to Bergamo via Dusseldorf. Good efficient staff at STN with none of those horrendous
queues you get with other airlines. Easy boarding without fuss, probably because everybody has a
seat allocated. Departure delayed by 35 mins due to late inbound aircraft. Reason was not explained
but assumed it was linked to the french ATC strike. Just managed to get connection at DUS. Arrived
at BGY 5 minutes early. Professional service onboard with a freesandwich and drink. This is ideal
for flight of upto 2 hours and seems to make all the difference. I know its not much in value but it
goes along way with the seat allocation, efficient crews and expanding network. 10 out of 10 for a
low cost airline which suits the business traveller.

My daughter moved to Germany last year and I have used the Stansted to

STN-GLA-STN. This airline offers a great service and inflight is as good
as the only full service airline on the route now BA ,and knocks the
like spots of Ryanair, BMI and Easyjet. However, one major complaint. My
out bound flight to GLA from STN was held up waiting for passengers
from connecting flight s from incoming German destinations. My inbound
flight was late arriving to GLA because of the same reason. Not what you
need when you are relying on the Stansted Express on a Sunday night. If
AB want to remain on this route (and I seriously hope they do) they will
have to get this issue sorted out fast.

Air Berlin from London Stansted to Hannover. Check-in quick and
efficient, but their STN staff do strictly enforce the 6kg hand baggage
limit and are none to keen on letting trolley bags on board.
Flight on a Boeing 737-800 with winglets. In flight service offered
headsets for the IFE at a reasonable price, the video was a mix of Air
Berlin promos, cartoons, music and Mr Bean plus audio selection, and
very impressive moving map display. Cabin crew efficient, but not
overfriendly, probably as they were very busy on this full flight. Seat
pitch 29-30" (72-75 cms). Mainly German newspapers offered on boarding,
a choice of free cheese or turkey sandwiches of a good quality plus
tea/coffee and duty free sales on this quick 55 minute flight. Baggage
delivery at HAJ was quick. Great value and efficient service. Overall a
slick and well presented operation.

Air Berlin is my favourite carrier now that they've opened routes to
HEL! You get premium service for extremely reasonable price. Don't know
how they do it, but I hope business goes well for them. It's the best of
low-cost carriers, and beats many traditional airlines (such as SAS) in
every aspect, too. Flights on time, clean aircraft, snacks and drinks
served for free. For a minimal price tag. The hub in DUS is well located
in the middle of Europe, and they're smart enough to not sell point-to-
point flights with stupid arrival times like Ryanair (middle of the
night, etc.), but genuine transfer flights.

Paris to Nuremburg. Everything about this flight was above average. The
outbound and return flight left and arrived on time. The aircraft was
spotless, the crew was young, vibrant, and very friendly, and the
sandwich served is a wonderful touch for such a short flight! My baggage
was actually about 5 kg overweight but the check-in agent let me go. I
appreciated that! Overall, very impressed, and I will use Air Berlin again!

TXL-BCN. This was my first venture into the " Low Cost " world and I
wondered what I would get for my 49Euros ! Boarding was on time and onto
an older but well kept 737-700. Seats were comfortable and as the flight
was not very busy the middle seats were left free. Safety announcements
made in German and English. FA's were young attendants who were
efficient and friendly. Food was served and consisted of Ham and Chicken
salad with hot bread. Cheese plate, fruit and a chocolate cake. Soft
drinks, tea and coffee are free while Alcohol has to be paid for and at
2 Euros for a can of beer that seems very good value. The drinks trolley
made numerous rounds during this 2hr 35m flight. Arrived in Barcelona on
time and luggage appeared 15 mins after arrival at the gate. Well done
Air Berlin. Great value and great service. I wish them every success for
the future and will use them again. Now, why cant Ryanair provide the
same service? Come to think of it, the service even was better than BA's
Eurotraveller !!

OPO-PMI-SZG and return. I tried other "low fares" companies and have to
say that they have nothing to do with Air Berlin. Air Berlin is by far
much better, all air planes were new and clean, staff very pleasant and
sandwiches and drinks for free also some entertainment on the flat
screens. During the transit in Palma de Majorca the ground staff makes
everything to guide you to the next gate and find "lost" passengers.
Will fly again with no doubt.

Again a great trip with seamless service from check in to arrival. I flew Man HAM VIE. Planes always
clean with nice staff and even IFE. Free drinks and food if you want it.
Agent waiting for connecting passengers at HAM. Cannot fault them and glad to see they even rate higher than KLM who are now 3 star.
Planning trips with them is also so easy.

Stansted to Palma. Superb airline. Very professional at a low cost.
Allocated seat, drink and snack included. Both ways the plane was less
than half full so we could spread out. All this for £40 per person
return. Beats Easyjet anyday. We are flying with them again twice more
this year. Highly recommended.

STN-GLA-STN. Have done this route twice in the last 2 weeks with AB as
well as 2 STN-Germany returns. Excellent service. The ability to check
in for return flight (if on the same day) is just so sensible and really
helps business travellers on those out and back one day trips where you
need to cram a lot in. EasyJet, although trying to target business
travellers, have NOT got the message. Allocated seats, free newspapers,
free basic snack and beverages and the aforementioned return check in
for same day flights are very high value for business travellers. Also,
EasyJet often uses special low cost areas of airports, whereas AB uses
areas (e.g. GLA) in tne main terminal where you are in a WiFi hotspot.
Again a simple but very important business need to get emails off is
accomodated. Finally, you don't have to get soaked standing on the apron
or on aircraft sairs (and risk turning up at your meeting looking less
than you would like to) with AB as they use airbridges wherever
possible. Staff on AB much better than EasyJet. EasyJet are a very good
airline but they just have not got the business package right yet.
Unfortunately though, AB has a low 6Kg carry on weight policy whereas
EasyJet is much more flexible.

Malaga to Zurich via Palma Mallorca and cannot fault Air Berlin. The
operation of changing planes in Palma worked like a dream in both
directions with plenty of information and a very short distance to walk
down the D pier which is used mainly by AB flights. Got to sample one of
the new A320 aircraft from Palma to Zurich and was very impressed with
the level of space, seat pitch and service. For Euro130 return there is
no competition.

BGY-DUS round trip. flying to DUS I had free drinks, food and a very

Dusseldorf to Rome. Surprisingly good service for a low cost airline,
free sandwich and drinks, even German champagne (due to new year). Very
pleasant flights, on schedule and for only €110 return fare including
taxes and seat reservation. I live 15 min. from Amsterdam Schiphol
airport, but the 2 hours drive to Dusseldorf is worth it - far lower
taxes and a very nice modern airport. We loved the skytrain from the
parking garage to the terminal.

3 January 2006
Leipzig/Halle Airport has a sparkling new terminal with excellent facilities and perfect interlining
with higway and rail traffic. Check-in was fast and efficient and Air Berlin issues boarding passes
with allocated seats which saves passengers from the rush at the boarding gate. A big minus goes to
Leipzig's security staff, as it took ages to clear security! Dozens of passengers protested
that our flight was due to leave, yet the screening staff continued to handle passengers very, very
slowly. Flight was already on 'Final Call' when we reached the gate. Leipzig/Halle Airport seriouly
has to fix that as it delayed our departure by almost 20 minutes. Not AB's fault however.
Cabin ambience, seats and legrooms were OK. Flight attendants were OK as well could have been a
little more friendly on the outbound leg. Service on AB is outstanding for an lc carrier. Free newspapers and magazines, video screens with
moving maps. Free softdrinks and fresh sandwiches are offered. Other drinks and snacks from the
onboard shop are extremly good value for money. Both flights were a very pleasant experience. Especially the return flight in a sparkling new 737
with a simply stunning new airshow software on the screens.

Hamburg 6.00 a.m. - Zurich supposed arrival 7.20 a.m., final arrival:
12.00: Conclusion: If everything goes well, Air Berlin is superb, but if
there is the slightest problem, everything seems to collapse: At the
time the plane should start, we were informed, that the flight was
cancelled (later I found out: for problems with security lights known at
least three hours before). The plane was not substituted. Busses were
organized to bring us to Hannover (2 hours travelling), where another
AB-plane should leave to Zurich at 9.35 a.m. That plane arrived over one
hour too late and for that reason lost its starting permission for which
reason the flight was postponed for almost one hour. The Air Berlin
staff managing the problem turned out to be completely unprepared,
uninformed and incompetent. There was no information policy at all.
Without the initiative of single passengers even fundamental dates were
not available (e.g. where and when the busses should leave). Even in
order to have our luggage back we all had to deal with the German
customs police by ourselves (The police was not informed and first
threatened us with weapons to make us leave the luggage room).

CDG to VIE, suppose with Fly Niki but became an Air Berlin 737-800
aircraft due to equipment shift. The aircraft is spotless, free sandwich
and drinks. Two hours flight with 60% load, nothing to complain. Ground
and air staffs both very attentive. VIE to ZUR with Fly Niki this time,
amazing interior, excellent staffs and service with free sandwich again.
Fly Niki and Air Berlin forms a very successful partnership and offering
same level of excellent service. Extremely reasonable price, truly a low
fare airline. Highly recommended.

VIE to HRG with a stop in Nuernberg. The service of is very good for a
low cost carrier. The check in is fast and efficient, meals were okay,
and prices for alcohol is fair (2€ for a beer). The only problem I do a
have, as a tall guy, I consider the space between the rows a little too
narrow. I have the impression that space on flights of airlines like LH
or Austrian is a bit larger than on Air Berlin review - but you save 180€ on a
trip like I mentioned - so its your choice. What I and my wife consider
as a little disadvantage is that Air Berlin offers a lot of flights as
connection flights - like in our case Vienna-Nuernberg, Nuernberg- Hurghada. For direct inner-European flights Air Berlin is the airline to
fly - if you have to deal with connecting flights to fly Air Berlin,
reconsider your choice.

Living in Hamburg I have used Air Berlin several times to Manchester (on
business) and Spain (on holidays) and am very impressed by the service,
which is better than most short-haul "full-fare" airlines. They give
goody bags to kids and offer free sandwiches and soft drinks, prices for
alcoholic drinks are fair. If only they would restart the HAM-STN route
then I would be happy as I could then avoid Ryanair.

I have been on Air Berlin a few times lately, despite being a well
pampered premium card holder with both Star Alliance and Sky Team,
paired with a natural aversion to low-cost airlines. But without doubt,
with Air Berlin you get more than your money worth -starting with check-
in staff being courteous and polite, assigned seats, in-flight service
being friendly, efficient and always on the ball. Have been on STN-FMO-
STN, and STN-FMO/PAD-STN now, on B737-700/800 and Fokker100, and the
space on board is excellent, even for a long-legged 6'4" (1.94m) man
like me. Many things speak for Air Berlin compared to other low-cost
airlines, free sandwiches (a choice even, cheese and meat), comfy seats
- if you can use them, do it, Air Berlin is probably the best choice
you'll ever get on the low-cost market

I have flown AB twice recently once STN-DUS-STN and last week STN-TXL-STN. They
check in staff at STN are welcoming. You get an assigned seat. The cabin crew are a
delight and they provide a very nice snack and complimentary newspapers and
beverages. The 737s are good but the Fokkers are showing their age. On the down side
I watched in dismay at TXL as an apparently over-zealous employee ruined all this
good image as she charged a father and son excess baggage fees because the father's
bag (he was obviously carrying most of their stuff) was over limit. They were not
prepared to average out between the two passengers which would have meant their
combined weight was within the 2x20Kg. That is surely unecessary and just leaves a
bad impression

Regular customer on ZUR-DUS and ZUR-TXL. No doubt, AB offers best value for money.
Fares are reasonable, especially if booked well in advance. But also short-notice
bookings (24 hrs in advance) can absolutely compete with full frills carriers.
Upgrading to SilverBonus membership for EUR 50,- p.a. pays: AB offers extra check-in
for Silver / Gold status (which other low cost carrier can compete that one? no
queue-waiting at check in! plus free seat assignment at reservation, plus free
re-booking: you only pay the difference in fares, no surcharge - this is professional
business class standard I miss at all of the carriers relevant for me!). Never any
late arrival, usually a bit in advance which is nice for business travellers like me.
Ground and flight staff is friendly, fast and competent, the plane always tidy and
clean despite short turnaround times. Call center is competent and quick, too,
usually no waiting for an operator (if you know Swiss call center service, you'll
know what I mean. Personally, I find the sandwiches disgusting but most people take
and eat them, so it's probably my taste. But the fact they are offered (at the fares)
is nice. Soft-drinks and newspapers offered for free, as well. Seriously, is there
anything else you would miss from a short-haul carrier? Full frills service - but low
cost fares!

Air Berlin was new to me when I first flew with them to Palma.
What a shock My wife and I received - friendly ground staff and crew, top class

apart from others. Pillows were handed out without asking for them, the children
onboard (who were fretting ) were kept occupied by free games. If I have a choice of

Air Berlin offers an excellent service (having more in common with good state airlines than other
budget airlines) at a good price with friendly service and a small but tasty meal with non-alcoholic
drinks included. Baggage allowance is the standard 20kg, and if you are travelling for more than 4
weeks Air Berlin, or you have a Silver or Gold loyalty card (You can buy the former for 50 Euros),
you can take 30kg with you. Air Berlin is also very helpful if you want to carry additional bicycles
/ surf boards etc. Most Air Berlin flights to mainland Spain are via their "hub" in Palma de Mallorca.
(Around ten flights arrive from Germany / Austria and the UK within 30 minutes, the passengers are
redistributed and then flown onwards to their ten or so ultimate destinations in Spain and Portugal.
Air Berlin state that they are unable to guarantee their own connections there, and as you are on an
island, you have no choice but to wait until Air Berlin can find an alternative (usually indirect
via Madrid or Barcelona). They also offer no refunds should this occur.
Fortunately, Air Berlin usually wait for a delayed incoming flight if there are more than a couple
of passengers involved. I have never known a family with children to be stranded by Air Berlin.
However this results in delays for the other passengers.

TXL-STN on 11 May 2005. Surroundings of TXL notwithstanding, I was pretty pleased with AB/BER
compared to FR/RYR on the way out STN-SXF. I was a little disappointed to fly in a Germania (should

Booked on Air Berlin for a Manchester-Tegel flight in July. Now the airline say that for
"operational reasons" the flight is cancelled. Seems they are only flying 3 days per week instead of
the advertised seven. They are offering a flight a day prior to my booking (which I can't make) or a seat to Hamburg on
the required date. Given the rail fare Hamburg-Berlin (my ultimate destination) is greater than the
airfare to Germany that's hardly an option. Hopefully a full refund is forthcoming and I will rebook
on another carrier. But disappointing to be let down by an airline which seems to enjoy a good reputation.

Frankfurt-Palma de Mallorca-Alicante (21/12/04) and return (5/1/05). And this is how budget carriers
should be. Clean and modern aircraft (B737-800), polite and efficient (if a little distant) cabin
crew, high quality and appropriately sized meal or snack, generally on-time arrivals and departures
and prices far, far lower than Lufthansa could offer on the same route. The only blot on the
copybook is that, having queued for over an hour (!) the previous evening to use the early check-in
service offered at Frankfurt I found the next day that my luggage had gone to Malaga. It took 29

Air Berlin has quietly become the second major airline in Germany and their on board service is
much better than Lufthansa, let alone such disastrous carriers as Austrian Airlines or, much worse,
Iberia. I recently flew Berlin-Barcelona-Berlin to spend new year´s eve in Barcelona. The personnel
on board was efficient, friendly although some of them appeared to be a bit stiff but that is the
German way. The still offer you a fully fledged meal and non alcoholic drinks. A well done job and
certainly much better than Iberia. I paid roughly 180 EURO for the return ticket but it was high
season and I certainly willing to pay a bit more if this gets me an airline that knows something
about customer dedication.

Paderborn-Vienna-Paderborn. The best budget carrier I've ever tried. I live in Asia and tried a variety of budget airlines, but
nothing can beat the standard of service, condition of planes and punctuality of Air
Berlin.

I flew with a party of friends for a Christmas trip to Berlin. Flew Man-TXL with Air Berlin on their
new 737-800. Very impressed with all aspects of the service, especially the crew and the aircraft.
Would not hesitate to recommend them.

Stansted-Paderborn several times already. This airline doesn't seem like its low-cost
competitors. There were refreshments and light snacks served on board for free. The flight and
attendant crew were very friendly and possessed excellent language skills. The aircraft was clean
and tidy despite the quick turnaround. The ground staff at Stansted and Paderborn were friendly and
efficient. The website was easy to use and the displayed price on the search page already includes
tax which is a nice surprise. Overall, it was very good value for money and I would fly with them again without
hesitation. Certainly beats Ryanair by far.

Air Berlin from Man to Berlin November - pleasant surprise, pillow, ear pieces, free snack and drink
and informative vdu, friendly helpful staff both on ground and in air. Have tried the worst
(Ryanair) plus German Wings, Sky europe & Easyjet - AirBerlin best by far.

I chose Air Berlin to fly to STN-BER return this summer, when I did a German language course in
Dresden. I was a bit uneasy when I saw the plane - a Fokker 100. However, I need not have been worried. The
flight was very smooth, the crew communicative (in both English and German) and you also get a free
cup of tea and a lovely cheese salad roll. Return flight two months later was equally good.

Düsseldorf to Las Palmas, 03 dec. booked a Hapag Lloyd flight but got an
Air Berlin codeshare flight operated by Air Berlin. check in ok, flight
on time. Entertainment system nothing special, vegetarian breakfast was
very lousy, only cheese and bread with a small cake were offered. Crew
friendly.

Have flown AB several times ie. HAM-VIE-HAM and HAM-PMI-Mainland Spain. I can confirm what
others write - clean, new planes, on-time service, free meal and drink. When others like
Lufthansa do not even offer a cookie Air Berlin has a full snack or meal. This is even more nice if you have
to be at the airport at 05:30 a.m. to get a flight.
Prices can be great! Round trip HAM-VIE for a family of four was EUR 244 incl taxes if
you book well in advance. You cannot even buy the gas for your car if you want to drive instead.
However the check in is more old fashioned charter airline than modern scheduled service. Check in
machines for travellers without checked bags would be helpful, specially on the city shuttles with
a lot of same day return business travellers on board.

STN-PMI Very good service, on time, clean plane, free drink ,snack & goodies for children. Fantastic
prices & very good booking website. Would recommend to anyone. This is what Ryanair & Easyjet should
aspire to.

HER-DUS . I have to concur with all the good things that everyone else has said about this
airline. Spotless planes, delightful staff, nice food and reasonably priced drinks. Not to mention
good inflight entertainment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Berlin-London Stansted.
Despite the fact that both sectors were operated by Fokker 100, recently wet-leased from Germania
Express, (rather shabby cabin without IFE, not to be compared with Air Berlin's "genuine" ultra-
modern B-737-800 fleet) i strongly recommend this airline offering excellent value for money. ground
and cabin staff - as usual - professional and polite, some of them were even perfect hosts.
Soft drinks and snacks are free, alcoholic beverages are moderately priced. the online reservation is
a pleasure as the airline shows the final fare including ALL taxes and charges at the first look.

BGY-TXL-BGY what a good experience. Air Berlin offers high service (candies when boarding the
aircraft and a sandwich later) at low cost (€ 58,- roundtrip for the new year's eve period, booked
in late august). I couldn't find any flaw in the whole service provided by the
airline. Strongly
recommended, would fly with again!!

ZRH-TXL-VIE-ZRH on Air Berlin.
Very, very good - all on time, nice free catering.
VIE-ZRH was NIKI the new airline of Niki Lauda, service (catering) even better.
Forget SWISS and Lufthansa when you have these alternatives !

I paid €38 for a round trip ticket from Vienna to Munich. Although it as a short flight, we were
served a little sandwich and a free drink. Besides, seats were comfortable, with lots of room for
your legs. The aircraft didn't look old at all. They also had "leather" seats! I really enjoyed my
flight, especially that the staff on board was really nice and welcoming (by offering you a
candy when you get on the plane!). All in all, a more than great value for what I paid. I'll fly again with Air Berlin. One small thing though: The in-flight magazine is in
German
only!

AB8448 22/04/04 TXL-STN, paid €29 for this flight.
flight operated by a Fokker 100, we had to return to parking position due to a technical problem and
were kept well informed by the cockpit and the cabin crew during the 30 minutes delay. Cabin crew
performed their duties well for this short flight. Always had the feeling they were concerned about
the safety of their passengers and that's what counts for me. I'm happy with their service and can
only recommend them!
