"wonderful small and easy airport"
1 reviews Rachel van der Heijden (Netherlands)
A wonderful small and easy airport. Big enough for the European flights and half an hour from home. Clean toilets and the flights are departing on time. When you enjoy you morning coffee you see the airplanes in front of you, Check-in is very quick.

"virtually no self service kiosks"
B Andrews (Netherlands)
✅ Verified Review | Beware: there are virtually no self service kiosks if you are traveling with carry on only at Eindhoven Airport. I was to fly with Transavia with no luggage and was unable to check in via my telephone. There are no official employees for a Transavia at the airport. The staff who check you in for your flight claim to not be with a Transavia.

"perfectly nice little airport"
Steve Cooper (United Kingdom)
Not sure why this gets so many poor reviews. Perfectly nice little airport, decent facilities and no gate more than 5 mins walk. Seating was comfortable and the cafe served me quickly with perfectly good food. I can imagine that at very busy times the facilties could get stretched. It does need a proper lounge, can't understand why it doesn't.

"dedicated to low cost airlines"
Peter Thackray (United Kingdom)
Eindhoven is a small airport dedicated to "low cost" airlines. There are no piers or buses you walk to and from the aircraft along metal fenced footpaths that guide you to where you need to be though some gates. You tend to be queuing for your departing aircraft the moment the inbound aircraft wheels touch the runway which is fine unless it is raining. There are 2 Baggage Belts in Arrivals. Arrivals Hall is at one end of the airport buildings which open out on the Bus Station where you can buy tickets from a machine and get buses to Eindhoven / Amsterdam and elsewhere. Various shops in the landside part of the airport including Dutch themed souvenirs and a café. There is a Viewing Area on the 1st floor Landside which gives a view of the apron and runway and doubles as the Smoking Lounge. Check-in is on the ground floor at the far end and then there is Security Screening with both Priority and Regular lanes. You get pushed through the shopping and into the rather small Departure Hall. There are 9 gates in total each with a Priority Queue and regular queue. Gates 7, 8 and 9 are for non-Schengen Flights and have Passport Control before opening to a very small holding area with small café and toilets. It can get beyond busy if 2 flights are going together such that the queue for Passports can take 25+ minutes and leads to some stress. Overall you get what you expect from an airport dominated by Ryanair and WizzAir.

"could be done better"
1 reviews Jeremy van den Berg (Netherlands)
Eindhoven Airport is a small airport near Eindhoven. The airport's cleanliness is good. Everything else could be done better. More seats on both the air and land-side of the terminal. A better organized security check. Longer queues for the gates. Clearer gate-signs.

"a horrible experience"
Mattia Imperatori (Norway)
If you can get in and fly away immediately from Eindhoven airport, then I am sure it is all fine. But if you have to stay any longer it becomes a horrible experience. The waiting hall is incredibly crowded during midday, to the point where moving around is not possible. No water fountains, but you can buy it for a price even higher than wine at the duty free shop. There is no noise cancellation anywhere, and no lounges. The sound will guarantee you a headache. They do not sell ear plugs here either (I double checked). But on the plus side, the paracetamol is only slightly overpriced, and the bathrooms are ok.

"not enough seats for waiting"
Marianna Condoleon (Netherlands)
Eindhoven is a horrible airport with no infrastructure. Not enough seats for waiting. You have to stand for 1-1.5 hours before you depart. Toilets in unacceptably low number and they have a peculiar system in the centre of the room to wash your hands. No loading bridge to the airplane. After the boarding card check, there comes the nightmare. You go out in the open air and there is a kind of iron railings corridors to lead people to the airplane. Then you have to wait in the open (rain, snow, sun, high/low temperatures) until the airplane is cleaned (and much, much longer if there is a delay for any reason).

"poor customer care"
Mike Durham (United Kingdom)
What a rip off at Eindhoven airport. First security takes away your water and then they charge close to €3 for a new bottle airside. Routine? No - even in Rome you can get a bottle out of a machine for half that and here they insist on the boarding card VAT scam. Got an empty and filled it myself. Monopoly capitalism and very poor customer care.

"seemed like a cattle market"
Suzy Jones (Portugal)
Very rude staff everywhere, except the coffee shop before security. Security staff shouting at people and totally disorganized. Flights were called for boarding before the incoming aircraft had arrived. Long lines for boarding and one staff member was seen pushing people closer together. Seemed like a cattle market. Hope not to have to go there again.

"pleasant to use"
Anthony Kent (Netherlands)
Eindhoven is an airport which used to be small but which is getting bigger and bigger all the time. Fortunately, it is still small enough to be pleasant to use. Several car parks are available within 5 minutes or so walking distance and the roads around the airport have never been congested in my experience. It rarely takes more than 10 minutes to get through security. I can usually leave my home in Veldhoven, arrive at the airport, park, walk to the terminal and be at the departure gate all within 45 minutes. There is a limited but adequate selection of shops and places to eat. Seating is limited but normally adequate for the numbers of passengers there.
