We complained about the heat and the air hostess offered ice in a bag as she said no one else complained then later asked if I was feeling better. When it was obvious everyone was struggling to breathe and everyone was fanning themselves with the safety instructions. The man in front of me ended up taking his top off. The heat and ventilation was terrible in both directions and I will never fly with them again.

Not Verified | Flight due to depart at 12.30 am. Already feeling anxious about travelling in the night with two young children (age 5 and 6), we arrived at Luton much earlier than we needed to. We sat and keep watching the screen to see which gate to check in, and kept walking over to the check-in area to find no-one there. Presuming the flight was quiet and they were therefore not rushing for us to go through, we kept checking the screen which said 'relax'. Other flights had statuses which changed but ours remained 'relaxed'. Approx. 50 mins before the flight the screen went blank so we went to check in to be told we were too late and they were boarding the flight. Emotions of anger, disbelief, panic and sadness hit us all (party of 7). That was the first time I have ever seen my children sobbing through sheer sadness. They were clinging onto me saying "can't we go on holiday Mummy, we've been excited all year". It broke my heart and I will never forget it. There was no-one at Luton available to help us, and after numerous phone calls, it was clear that SunExpress were not interested so we booked flights with a different airline and took a coach at 4am to Stansted. Doing online check in on my phone from Luton, with an incontrollable shaky hand (adrenaline rush) at 3am was another memory engrained in my memory for life. We got to Izmir and fortunately only missed one day, but our delay and stress impacted on our health and we all suffered exhaustion, stomach pains and headaches for the first few days. When we returned to the UK, I put in a complaint and waited weeks and weeks to hear anything. Considering the trauma we experienced, acknowledgement of the complaint would be been the minimum I would expect. In August we were told the result was 'not positive' as apparently there were no technical problems. They had spoken to the ground staff! Do they think we were just sat there for the fun of it? The battle continues and I have insisted they check CCTV footage. I received £150 from them randomly without explanation but this is a very small amount of my claim. The effects of this trauma continue to this day and my daughters are extremely anxious when we out to places that require pre-booking, worried that they won't be allowed to do it. The only time this company took me seriously was when I emailed the CEO. This is the only way they started listening to me. If you are having problems and not getting anywhere, I recommend you contact Max Kownatzki and do not use SunExpress again.

Not Verified | I flew this company on a short trip to Turkey last week. Apprehensive given previous reviews that I read. Either I am very easily pleased (not known for it!) or the travelling public should relax and enjoy their flight not spend hours looking for things to complain about. The aircraft was clean and reasonably comfortable for a four hour flight. However the cabin crew excelled both on the outbound and inbound journeys. Service was efficient and delivered with a smile and nothing appeared too much trouble. All of them were immaculate both flights an obvious sign uniform regulations are strict as they should be. Would go out of my way to fly Sun Express in the future.

✅ Trip Verified | Flight itself was fine, return plane modern and clean. Customer service awful. Lost luggage on flight out, contact number for sun express not answering, website doesn't allow personal contact with the company, online claim system for lost baggage not working. Fobbed off on multiple occasions via the helpline. Assistant refused to give out contact details for the company. SunExpress then unilaterally attempted to close the claim for costs against them. Online checkin not working for some of our group and then charged at the airport for checkin at the airport! Bizarrely their online check in system does not obviate the need for yet another check in at the airport! Very long queues for airport check in at Manchester. Very poor overall.

✅ Trip Verified | Never fly this airline if you have physical difficulties. First, the plane was almost 2 hours late between Antalya to Copenhagen. There is not the worst. Terribly hot and poor ventilation for almost the entire 4 hour journey. We sat in the plane 45 minutes before take-off. Then I thought everything would be fine up in the air. But that didn't happen. I had to use the airline's information sheet the whole trip. Ryanair feels like luxury travel if you compare them. They can't speak English. They can not communicate. The check-in area is dirty. Luggage tags and scrap paper on the ground. Rude and disrespectful. Not Verified | I am absolutely outraged by the lack of customer service from this airline! I recently purchased a ticket for a flight with my 6-month-old baby, and there was no option to choose a seat during the booking process. This is unacceptable when traveling with an infant. I tried to contact Sunexpress customer service representative to find out how to book a bassinet for my baby, but the representative informed me that all seats in the first row were fully booked (my flight should be 20 May 2023) and they were unable to provide me with a bassinet. The worst part was that the representative did not explain how it was possible to book a seat in the first row, leaving me feeling helpless. To make matters worse, I spent hours searching on their website for a way to reserve a seat, but the page was not functional, leaving me with no way to ensure the safety and comfort of my child during the flight. And to top it off, I could not find any contact information to call or send an email to their customer service department. Overall, I am deeply disappointed by this Sunexpress's lack of regard for their customers, especially those traveling with young children. I will never use their services again and will advise all my friends and family to avoid this airline at all costs.

Was booked as a package holiday so included 20kgs hold baggage per person. Was able to check in for free at the airport. From what I understand though, they operate as a hybrid between a charter airline servicing package holidays and a low cost carrier for Those booking directly which caused some stressful situations at checkin. People on flight only were required to check in online for free or pay to use the airport and didn’t get baggage for free. So I suggest that you check well ahead of time what you are entitled to and not. Flight left bang on time. The aircraft was new and clean and appeared well cared for. The cabin crew were very professional and courteous. They weren’t the most engaging by means of conversing with people but they very efficient and friendly when speaking with passengers. Hot meals that can be pre booked were really tasty. Buying snacks and drinks on board is ridiculously expensive compared to their competitors. On the whole I was very impressed with this airline and their crew and wouldn’t hesitate to fly with them again. FYI, if you need to contact them, they are very quick to respond if you DM them via Facebook messenger.
